If you've yet to visit this location, you're missing out! I would rank the Brea homegoods up in the ranks of my top 5. They have great inventory, their selection of goods is always plentiful, their team members are super pleasant, and you find some great clearance items as well! I can appreciate that most of the clearance items are actually sellable items. If you're a regular at any homegoods/tjmaxx/marshalls, you know some of these locations are literally selling garbage as clearance (I'm talking a bottle with no lid... a food item that has been smashed into crumbs and dust, plates with large chips in them, honestly insulting and humorous at the same time lol) If you're passing by or in the area, this is a solid homegoods to get your hunting on in!! Also it's nice that it sits right behind birch street and in a strip mall with tons of food options. Xfish, cava, smash burger, tour le jour, and that's just in that parking lot. I'm not a huge in person shopper, but I was looking for some cute decor and decided to check out HomeGoods. I was disappointed in their selection and prices. Everything I saw looked exactly the same as what everyone else has, and there were very few cool or unique pieces. And everything was pretty pricey as well. I got cut by a sharp object just opening up a storage ottoman. My finger was bleeding and I asked the staff for a bandage. She didn't fill out an incident report or fix the issue of what injured me in the first place. Instead she offered me a Lysol cleaning wipe to disinfect my cut and a Bandaid. While I was applying the Band-Aid, a cockroach appeared at the POS counter and and when I told the employee about it, she swatted it off the counter towards me. If a cockroach is appearing during the day when there are multiple people then this place is surely infested. I won't be returning to this location or purchasing anything from here for the good of my home. read more

I bought a water bottle that malfunction so I wanted a refund or a replacement bottle. However, the female manager looked at the water bottle and told me that I had no receipt and the bar code wasn't on the bottle. I told her I took the barcode off instead of leaving it on and that is a reasonable decision. She was very disrespectful to me and inconsiderate because she didn't care about resolving the issue about the water bottle. I left the store feeling frustrated and not getting my needs met. Do not go to this store because the manager doesn't care about customers or understand what customer service entails. read more

I am a huge fan of their unique selections of homegoods. But let me just share my experience yesterday as I pay for the stuff at the cashier. One of the items I bought was an incomplete set of bowls that says on the price tag that is way cheaper than usual. In my mind, I thought maybe because it's missing one bowl. And because I thought I was getting a good deal and I really liked it, I bought it. While I was paying, the cashier was scanning my items and was wondering how come this was unusually cheap. And so she asked another staff (I am guessing it was the manager) and as she was walking to the cashier she said that "someone must have changed the sticker price" and it sounds to me as if she was accusing me of that acrion. So then they took the rubber band off that's holding the bowls together and lo and behold the bowls were individually tagged but put together with that rubber band which I didn't know so now it will cost me 3x the price. To me, I wanted to say "that was false advestisement" because it should not have been placed together if it was meant to be sold separately. But because I really liked the item, I just paid for it anyway. My point is, for good customer service, should the manager/staff speak like that? If any staff at this location reads this, please be mindful of how you treat customers and maybe you should train your staff better at labeling and organizing items before putting them on the shelf. Now I'll always remember that experience everytime I see those bowls. read more

I didn't know this location existed! It's probably one of the least cluttered Home Goods I've been to. It's in downtown Brea and it's steps from World Market. The clientele here is elderly and stuff is in stock! I was on a time crunch and left with a few items which is good because I could've bought the entire store. They already had their Halloween stock out in July and it's VERY cute! read more

The store itself is nicely organized and the staff is friendly. One of my favorite places to pick up seasonal decor and coffee mugs. Speaking of coffee, they usually have an excellent selection on Skinny Syrups to make your own gourmet dessert coffees at home. The manager with the burgundy/red hair is always extremely rude and mean. I shop here all the time and she is always unnecessarily that way. Rude to customers and I even witness her rude to staff. She shouldn't be in a manager role. If this wasn't one of the good HomeGoods that get all of the newer styles, I wouldn't come here because of her. read more

Absolutely Unprofessional Behavior Do Better, HomeGoods! I don't normally write reviews, but after today's experience, I felt compelled to say something. I was shopping at HomeGoods,one of my favorite places, usually, when something incredibly off-putting happened as I was walking out. A few of the employees were admiring a customer's keychain (which, by the way, was adorable). But then, what I assumewas the manager, she was the only one without an apron and had burgundy hair, decided it was appropriate to loudly say, "Eww, I hate that trend." Excuse me?? First of all, as a paying customer, I don't think it's EVER appropriate for staff, let alone a manager, to make side comments about anyone's personal belongings, especially not within earshot. It was unprofessional, rude, and honestly, just mean-girl behavior. This is not the kind of energy I expect when I come to a store to relax and shop. Maybe some people need to be reminded that manners are free. If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all. Do better, HomeGoods. read more

I must have looked out of place and completely lost cause some young lady (Lucia) walked up to me and asked if I need some assistance. I told her my situation and she helped me gather a bunch of "cute" stuff as my wife put it. She even gave me ideas on how to set everything up. Over all great service and very successful trip for me. Good place to get one off decor and curios, the furniture is very cheaply made and over priced. Rugs are an item you can get at a fair price to quality ratio. Small goods for pets and random small decor are the highlights here. read more

He didn't have his receipt, so we were ready to get the store credit but not at the current price that the young lady had said she was going to have to give us on a mirror that was purchased two weeks ago! She called her "manager" and the lady comes out and doesn't even acknowledge my husband or myself! They both turn their backs on us and have this top secret conversation about the mirror and then the manager walks away! The cashier says "it's ok to give the full amount"! Oh gee really? My favorite Homegoods! This location is always clean and stocked with great finds! I never leave this store empty handed, I always find exactly what I'm looking for and more. The associates are always helpful here. There's one girl who worked up at the register who I believe had blonde hair and glasses and she was incredibly patient and friendly. My baby picked something up during our shopping trip which I wasn't planning on buying. He was reluctant to let the item go but this girl traded him for a hand drawn STICKER and you know what? Home Goods always has great customer service! Every time my family and I go in to shop or browse (which is sometimes weekly), the employees are always so friendly. There's one particular employee I want to give a HUGE SHOUT OUT to...SANDIE!!! She always has a smile on her face and is so welcoming to everyone who comes through the doors whether the customers are coming in or leaving. This HomeGoods location is located a few stores down to the left of World Market. The plaza is huge but the limited amount of parking never surprises me due to the numerous stores and restaurants. Like any HomeGoods store, they are usually packed to the brim with lots of finds and cramped aisles. Always the thrill of the hunt and finding one of a kind items. I find this location, one of the better organized locations and I especially love coming here during the holidays for any special Christmas treats, additions one could buy for the house, or for gifts. Overall, I did not any problems with customer service but I only shop at this location a few times a year. read more

Unfortunately, I didn't visit this page prior to shopping at the location and didn't know about the terrible service until I came here to write this review. The supervisor on duty (Laura was the name on her name tag) also happened to be working the registers and was incredibly rude. Without writing a long story here, she made comments behind my back and held up the checkout process for me even though I went through the checkout queue like all the other customers making purchases. The behavior was unexpected and uncalled for, given I only asked a polite, ordinary question about an item I wanted to purchase. HomeGoods is a furniture store that sells many different items for less than full price at a department store. Sometimes you can find brands such as Calvin Klein, Tahari, Lacoste and many others at this place. Most of the time I come here to get the bedsheets or quilts for the summer time. I also like the bathroom items that they sell. They have things for your shower, baths, towels and little accessories that you can put all around your house. I find it very relaxing just walking down the isles and shopping for things. I like how it also have a very nice parking lot with many spaces since it is shared with Baskin Robbins, and World Market. Located off of Imperial Highway you can't miss it! So if you are looking to decorate your home this is a place I would say to come first and see what is here. read more

Nestled snugly in the Brea Gateway Center is a New Home Goods where Easy Life Furniture store use to be. The store is a nice size, however not as big as the Yorba Linda Location. Items inside were neat and well organized. One concern was limited items for male newborn decor. Other than that there were plenty of neat and cool items to buy. My food containers were getting pretty stained and worn out, so I stopped by Dollar Tree to pick up new ones. It occured to me that better ones were actually cheaper at Home Goods, so I ditched the Rubbermaid ones and came to Home Goods. I found a gleaming new set and browsed the Christmas section, looking for mini balls. They had TONS of Christmas merch, and were unpacking even more. I found plenty of glass balls but none of them were minis, so I asked the clerk if they had any. "I know I saw a box of them somwhere..." I said it was okay, I didn't want to send her on a goose chase and went on my way. A minute later she found me looking at the syrups and showed me three boxes of mini glass balls! The staff is always so friendly and helpful whenever I go to Home Goods. The deals can be uncommon; yeah the food storage is in my budget, but the two-for-$50 pillows are not. Also the aisles are so crammed with merch it's hard to get around. Overall, though, it's fun to shop at HG and I rarely leave empty handed. read more

Basically a Marshall (or think Ross Dress for Less) for home good. If you are looking for gaudy Christmas décor (and honestly - who isn't because that's just simply fun!) check this place out! I was impressed by a good selection of inexpensive Christmas cards. As with these types of stores, always a little messy and not a lot of organization, kind of like shopping at a nice garage sale, but you can find some great bargains. The short haired woman manager of this place truly is a nightmare. I live close and frequent here and the store often and she's always been nasty. She accused my toddler once of opening and eating candy when she picked up a jar off the shelf, while I was waiting for the cashier who astoundingly lost my ID while I was standing at the register tried to find it. I've seen her attitude first hand multiple times but once it was directed at me I can't even stomach going in here anymore. It's kind of overpriced junk anyway. read more

Make no mistake, my five stars are only for the Home Goods manager Nick. However, the entire staff that was working on the night of Tuesday, September 7 gets zero stars. Here is why: my sister, niece, and I went shopping to this Home Goods for Halloween decorations and we were the last customers to check out. Literally, one minute after the staff closed the door and I was making my way to my car I realize I had left my phone inside the store. I ran to the window as everyone was still there at the front and knocked. The staff just looked at me and walked away. I watched them as they all walked to the back of the store and then I just waited for what seemed like 10 minutes. Finally, they all appeared with their belongings and saw that I was still standing outside waiting. They didn't open door and instead told me to call the store at 6am to speak to manager. The lack of common courtesy is incomprehensible. The whole staff from last night should take a training class in common courtesy if anything. I just left the store after the manager greeted me with a smile and handed me my phone. Again, thank you Nick for showing courtesy, class, and character. Nick did not make me (a paying customer) feel less or ignored. read more
