We inherited a Brown Jordan Patio Set that was most likely either purchased in the late 60's, early 70's. They were in good shape with the exception that some of the framing was getting pitted and straps were faded, but not broken. This set, including the glass table, have been outside in the sea air and all elements since they were purchased. We wanted to honor my wife's grandparents by not replacing this set. So we decided to invest in a restoration, due to how well made this set is. I found Patio Guys on Yelp and decided to use them for this project. As we were starting to wipe down the chairs, we noticed a label on one of the chair frames, which was a Patio Guys restoration logo decal. Turns out our late relative had used them before, but uncertain at what decade were they restored before. I guess it was destiny to use Patio Guys. For the strap width of what our chairs required, there was not a huge selection to choose from. So if you're looking to replace with a sunny yellow, orange or teal, you'll need to make an alternate choice. Lots of whites, creams, tans, and earthy greens to choose from. The only blue is like a Dodger blue or a forest green. So we took a leap of faith and chose turquoise. It's perfect!! We were in no hurry and quoted 4 weeks turn around time. It was more like 6 weeks, but I was anticipating more like 10 weeks. Plus we were the cause of not getting the chairs back sooner due to our schedule. So, I found these two amazing teak steamer chairs at a thrift store, but they were in need of refurbishing. I refinished the teak and then took them to Patio Guys to have the slings replaced. They did a superb job! The guys in the warehouse are very friendly and helpful and the people in the front office are just as nice! Patio Guys gave us a reasonable, fair quote to replace the fabric on our sun-faded and worn out sling back chairs. They have a nice selection of outdoor fabrics. They picked up the chairs (we're in Oceanside) for a reasonable charge, and gave us a two-week estimate for the repairs. Two weeks later, they gave us a two-hour window for the delivery, and they just dropped off our repaired chairs within that window. Their very friendly and efficient delivery personnel carried our chairs into our backyard for us. The chairs look great with the new fabric - the fabric is stretched into the metal chairs very well, and we're pleased with the results. I had two patio lounge chairs that were 10 years old and the sun had deteriorated the slings but the metal frames were still in good condition. We looked at replacing the lounge chairs entirely but could not find anything of decent quality with a metal frame for a reasonable price. I called Patio Guys and they quoted me ~$400 to replace the sling. While not cheap, it was the most economical option after getting a couple quotes for repair. Patio Guys had a bunch of different color fabrics we could choose from for replacement and the quality is excellent. Work was completed much faster than the estimated date and we are very happy with our (new) chairs! No issues whatsoever to report. I was told to expect these to last 5+ years, but I will update this review when these wear out or I have any issues w durability. Until then, safe to assume these are perfect! PS. Just had my outdoor furniture refinished by Patio Guys. I am thrilled with the results! The 30-year-old Tropitone was in pretty good shape, but the powder coating was chipped, the vinyl webbing was discolored, and the tilt/swivel mechanisms no longer worked smoothly. It now looks and functions like new! They also did a 40-year-old cast aluminum set that also looks brand new. I researched having everything redone versus buying new furniture of the same quality. The thing is, you may not find the same quality these days. Overall, the cost of redoing everything was about a third of the cost of buying new pieces. Look it up - you can pay a thousand dollars for a single Tropitone chair. I was shocked! Patio Guys was easy to work with. Saw their ad - they are based in Orange County (where I grew up) but they drove out - we chatted 5 minutes, reviewed the fabric options due to Covid-19 shortages / shortfalls / delays and they took 50% check then and said about 4 (maybe more weeks). I think it was 3 weeks later they called asking if they could deliver next day. I said I was out of town but they said it was not an issue.
