We inherited a Brown Jordan Patio Set that was most likely either purchased in the late 60's, early…read more70's. They were in good shape with the exception that some of the framing was getting pitted and straps were faded, but not broken. This set, including the glass table, have been outside in the sea air and all elements since they were purchased. We wanted to honor my wife's grandparents by not replacing this set. So we decided to invest in a restoration, due to how well made this set is. I found Patio Guys on Yelp and decided to use them for this project. As we were starting to wipe down the chairs, we noticed a label on one of the chair frames, which was a Patio Guys restoration logo decal. Turns out our late relative had used them before, but uncertain at what decade were they restored before. I guess it was destiny to use Patio Guys. For the strap width of what our chairs required, there was not a huge selection to choose from. So if you're looking to replace with a sunny yellow, orange or teal, you'll need to make an alternate choice. Lots of whites, creams, tans, and earthy greens to choose from. The only blue is like a Dodger blue or a forest green. So we took a leap of faith and chose turquoise. It's perfect!! We were in no hurry and quoted 4 weeks turn around time. It was more like 6 weeks, but I was anticipating more like 10 weeks. Plus we were the cause of not getting the chairs back sooner due to our schedule. The job Patio Guys has exceeding my expectations. I knew the patio set would look better than the existing condition, but I wasn't expecting a brand new condition.

We used Backyard Expressions to measure and install Fireplace Glass doors (Stoll Industries) for three fireplaces. Jim, the owner, came out in person to do all of the measurements. In addition, we ordered a piece for our Patio set (Tropitone) to expand our set. We were nearing the end of our major renovation, and Jim saw a few of the pieces that we didn't put into storage. He recommended a cleaning and restoring products, brought them back to life with a bit of elbow grease and saved us from replacing them! Very good, honest people! Their staff that came to do the installation were professional and took care to protect our home and fireplaces. This was very important with one of the fireplaces as we had just had the marble restored! However, in the afternoon, the heat in summer is unbearable. The sheer blinds we previously had, filtered the sun, but did nothing to dissipate the intense heat. He suggested the Hunter Douglas Silhouettes. They are sheer, allowing us to still see outside, but have 4" blades encapsulated within, that can be tilted to block sun when necessary. This business has a new owner and Tropitone advised me this business is now run by the sons. Not…read morethe same. I paid to have my set powder coated and to have new slings. When I received the items back, there were holes in the frame. I talked to Tropitone and they said Miracoli should have prepped the frame after sand blasting and welded if damage occurred. That it is part of the prep process that was not done. Now I have a damaged frame. When I followed up with Tropitone I was told this wasn't the first complaint since the switch and shortly thereafter received a call from Miracoli offering to fix the frame they damaged. He then asked me to call Tropitone back and let them know that I had a great experience with Miracoli and give them a positive review. No. He never fixed and is now not answering the phone or returning calls. Very unprofessional. Go with someone else.
