Buyer Beware I purchased 3 islands from this company and had them installed in Oct. 2022. The granite on the Islands started to fall off in January of this year. Just fell into pieces. It appears it was never properly installed. We contacted the original installer and he would not return since he said the company had never paid him. We called BBQ outlet numerous times with no return calls or responses. We went to the outlet and was informed that they were looking for someone to fix it and would return or call and this never happened.We returned again and they said the owner was out and would call - never happened. Last time we were given an email to contact them and still no response. This has been going on since January with numerous calls. They are a company I would never use or recommend. read more

We're right in the middle of BBQ season - and it's high time I give a big shout out to Sunny at BBQ Outlet. They have high end grills, equipment and accessories. They feature Fire Magic, Twin Eagles and Blaze Grills. I researched them all; these are top quality units that will not disappoint. I have a FireMagic grill, and I have cooked on three friends Twin Eagles grills. A few years ago I ordered my Evo Grill from them, and recently a Blaze Kamado with several drawer and door combinations. Everything has performed exceptionally. The quality is there - so let's cover price and service. I researched many Kamado's and made several trips to take a look before purchasing. When it came to the Blaze I called Sunny, he didn't have one at the Orange location, but he had one delivered the next day from their Corona location for me to look at. He has been extremely accommodating regarding getting the accessories and handle styles I requested. Delivery has been on time and items were brought all the way to the back yard with a smile. Sunny keeps records of your purchases and can help you coordinate items - in addition he see what you've spent there and genuinely appreciates your business. Price - I bring the best price I can find on the internet and Sunny always meets or beats it. Never a problem. In fact, on a few items he even threw in a few discounts on accessories that were outstanding. I've built my own islands - so I don't have any experience there, but I have purchased some fire pit glass the was as good a deal as anywhere. This is there smaller location - not a lot of showroom space, also he doesn't have a lot of smoker items if that's where your interests lie. Sunny is also a big supporter of Yelp, he's had check in and voucher deals over the years - I like patronizing a place that values Yelpers! I went here in interest of what kind of BBQ grills they have as an option and what they offer as I like things to be visual. It's on that right hand plaza next to an Italian restaurant. The owner here as I hear many reference as Sunny is knowledgeable and provided an answer to my questions. As I looked around I witnessed him helping out a lady who came in interest. She was to the point type of person and came off abrasive but Sunny was gentle and kind offering solutions and options with no intent to rush her interest in making a decision to purchase. **update** well I wish I could report back and say after my heated review, bbq outlet and myself have gotten together to solve a seemingly simple problem together, and that cooler heads have prevailed.......but I can't. After listening to sunny tell me I asked for this, and Kyle tell me he thought I needed it by my mom's birthday party..... I got upset! I asked when is my mother's party......couldn't answer. Talk about manipulation and disrespect. UHG! At least they finally shipped SOMETHING! They assured me that I was only missing 2 things and I was given a schedule as to when to expect these products. I asked to go over order before shipment with me to avoid confusion 4x. Not interested, they got it! ....... So sunny, who came out of hiding FINALLY after a month, sends me a bill of lading. Guess what, THERE WERE 3 MORE THING MISSING TOTALING 5 ITEMS! And that's not including the $1700 fridge/trim kit that I didn't get and haven't been refunded for. WTH! So I responded to sunny via email on 4/1 within 2 minutes asking him if these items were actually missing or he just forgot to include in email, continuing to give them benefit of doubt. To this day 4/3 sunny has yet to respond. Sunnys dishonesty and disrespect for his customers has become legendary at this point. I feel like nothing more needs to be said on this review, the evidence is a mile high to avoid, and still there is no end in sight for my family. I promise if ANYTHING positive happens I will report back, but continuing to hope for rational thinking prevailing at bbq outlet is what is leading to my constantly being disappointed. Sunny was very helpful in assisting us with picking out our grill, fridge and sink for our outdoor kitchen. However, after we made our deposit, the communication was very poor. I emailed and called several times trying to get the dimensions for the items so our contractor could build to fit. Once they delivered the items, the dimensions they sent for the access panel were incorrect and they said they had sent us the wrong access panel. We were then told that it would be delivered the next day because they had to pick it up from another warehouse. They did not bring the door or call. When we called to follow up and also ask about the free grill cover we were promised with our order, the staff quickly git off the phone and we have not heard back since. We will not be shopping there for the additional items we need for the backyard. read more

The owner, Sammy, uses false advertising and "bait and switch" tactics to get a sale, and once his fraud is discovered, he talks over you and argues that the "contract" prevents a return but the contract is not given to to you or even shown to you as a contract before then. (I was asked to sign it as a credit card authorization). A bad deceptive business and I anticipate we will end up in court over this fraud and deception. He was always available to answer any questions and make changes to the design, and as most people do, even after shopping around and finding a lower price, he was able to price match and even offer us better items than we would have received. Horrible customer service. The owner Sonny "Sammy" is very rude and is unable to build trusting relationships. After purchasing an AOG BBQ for my husband's birthday, they didn't deliver it on time for his party. Then, after it was delivered and hooked up, the BBQ wasn't working probably. It took six months and 3 home service calls for the BBQ to be repaired. Needless to say, we went the summer without a working BBQ. Not what you would expect from a $2,500.00 plus BBQ. Now a year and a few months later the BBQ is broken again (igniter and thermostat). Save your money and buy a cheap BBQ. We could have bought 10 cheap BBQs for the price we paid for for one BBQ that broke several times the first two months we had it. What made the broken BBQ experience even worse was dealing with the owner. He has no desire to please the customer. He only agreed to send someone to fix the BBQ when I told him we would contact our credit card company and have the charges reversed and we would gladly bring the BBQ back and leave it on his doorstep. Also, we purchased a table and chairs. When the table was delivered the pattern was different than the pattern on the chairs. The owner wanted to argue with me, telling me that is what I ordered. Who orders a different pattern on the chairs than on the table? Finally he delivered the correct chairs. Anyway, NEVER spend your money here. Save yourself the headache. read more

Was looking for a replacement BBQ for a very old unit in an old brick built in for my backyard. Multiple places looked at what I had and their answer was a model that would require me to cut the brick and do modifications to what I had in place. Walked into BBQ Outlet, showed them a picture of what I had, in 30 seconds he told me exactly what brand this was and what model would fit in there exactly. Said he had one in stock, they would deliver and his price was way below any place on the internet I found (was busy googling it while he wrote up the order to confirm). Even delivering 30 miles away for Free. Extremely friendly. My only recommendation is do your research elsewhere and go here to buy. Only reason is this location is small and you won't be able to browse. However, I do understand their Corona location is more of a showroom. I bought a grill from Amazon and it showed up damaged, and I needed to immediately find the exact model from a local store to complete my patio project in time to host a big party. The BBQ Outlet not only had the grill that I needed in-stock, but it was the same price as Amazon, and since this store always uses pallets during shipping, the grill was in perfect condition. So, do you want to get a nice grill in-stock today for the same price as Amazon or would you rather wait a few days and roll the dice on whether UPS/FedEx will mishandle your shipment, and then have to deal with the hassle of returning and replacing it? Having been down both roads, I'd much rather buy from a local shop like this. Good selection of high quality products that are in-stock, and Sunny might be one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. Buyer beware! Stay away from this place! They are frauds! Bought the Darlee Elisabeth set they have advertised on their own website for $2099. We negotiated a discounted price of $1900 if we drive up from san diego ourselves and pick it up (vs the free shipping they advertise) and pay in cash. Sounds like a good deal, right? The first trip up to the store we are given the wrong table (a considerably cheaper table) and the burner we got was not only isn't a Darlee burner, it doesn't come close to fitting the table. We are given the run around trying to tell us we ordered a different set advertised on craigslist and the burner wasn't included in the set. Finally we are told it was an internal miscommunication and they will order the correct table. Second trip up to the store, we are given the correct table and are told by one store rep (Ruby) that the burner was in the box for the table. Luckily, my husband thought to check before leaving and there was no burner included. So he went in and complained and we are given another box with a burner that we are told is the correct burner for the table. We get home and start putting the table together and the burner is not a Darlee burner and doesn't fit the table. It's a generic, no name burner. So we call again and call the manufacturer, Darlee, at the same time since we suspect that BBQ outlet is defrauding their customers by switching out Darlee parts for cheaper parts and not informing the customer. Darlee confirmed the burner was supposed to be in the table box and also confirmed the burner we were given was not the Darlee burner for the table. Darlee communicated directly with Jim Cannon from BBQ outlet and I received an email back from Darlee stating that Jim said we did not get a Darlee burner because we did not order a Darlee burner and we wanted a cheaper price so we got a cheap burner. If we want a Darlee burner then we have to pay more money. We were scammed. We bought a Darlee SET that includes chairs, fire pit table and burner. We were never told that our Darlee set comes with a crappy generic burner that doesn't fit the table because we got a discounted price. We spent $80 in gas going back and forth twice, so we really didn't end up with much discount in the end anyway. Why would they sell a customer a set without the correct burner they need to use it? Using the wrong burner (and a cheap one) in a fire pit table is a fire hazard. These guys are criminals. Don't buy anything from here. Pay a little more money and get a genuine product from a respectable company. read more

I purchased (Dec 16th) a Big Green Egg for my husband for Christmas and explained to the salesperson (Sonny) that it was a gift and I wasn't positive that he wanted one. I "assumed" the return policy was on the receipt. It was not. On January 9th, I called the store and asked what the return policy was since I didn't see it on the receipt. Since it was a gift for Christmas most retailers will give you 15 days, if not 30. The salesperson I spoke to said it was 30. So my husband and I load it up (on the 9th, about 1 hr later) and take it back thinking they we are well within a reasonable time to return it. We arrive and talk to the salesperson and he calls the owner (Sonny). He tells us there will be a 30% restocking fee. WHAT? !!!! After some discussion, he then tells the salesperson to tell us he will give us store credit. I'm sorry but no thank you. We ask the salesperson where is the owner and find out he is at the gas station, at the end of the shopping center. So we walk down there to talk with him. Eventually, he agrees to gives us our money back in full with no restocking fee. In the end he did what was right (thank you!) but it didn't have to be so difficult. In our experience, Sonny was dishonest and has deceptive business practices. I'm very glad my husband was with me. read more
