I stopped by yesterday to check out the possibility of getting a new fireplace log system....our existing was beautiful yet was not functional and we needed some warmth in our family room. We had a set that we used for years and I knew that they had some ceramic logs that worked much better. I met Tosh the manager and he was amazing, took lots of time, explained all the different options and I placed my order. He was able to come to our home the very next day to install our new Ultimate 5 fireplace with the five burners which works beautifully on a much lower gas setting, puts out a whole lot more flame and the logs heat and work amazingly well. Stopped in for a quick peek at the different electric fireplace options being that I was unfamiliar with them. The salesman was very friendly and welcoming. He was kind enough to show me some options and even sent me home with a booklet showing various options. The only thing that I would say was a challenge was the area where the two models were located was a little messy. This made it a bit challenging to visualize the look in my own home. Bought a 60" Linear Empire Carol Rose fireplace from OC BBQ & Fireplace for our patio build. They offered the best price I could find, even on the internet. The unit worked perfectly for a month then had some small issues with LED lighting. Tosh came out and replace the lighting control unit at no cost. Tosh later found out that the MFG had issues with a whole batch of control units so the issue still existed. Tosh came back out and swapped the control unit out again. Seems to be handled now and working with Tosh has been a pleasure. Great guy with solid business practices. Was looking for Peterson Fyre logs and wanted to see the variety in person. Tosh not had them on display, but was able to explain the differences of the different remotes, features, ignitions etc that we were looking for in our fireplace. The staff was super helpful in determining the right size logs for our pit and how to arrange it. We had no idea our old logs were placed in the pit wrong and were omitting more gas than flame. Bought an electric fireplace from Tosh. Very satisfied with service. I went in to look at fireplaces and got price quotes on a few that met my criteria. I called back a week later to buy the one I'd chosen, and as I was about to pay the deposit, Tosh said he had misquoted the price to me a week earlier and wanted to charge me significantly more. Needless to say, I wasn't pleased. However, Tosh called me back two days later and said he would honor the price he quoted. I was happy he honored the price he quoted me and respect that he chose to deal fairly with me. I picked up the fireplace today. It took him only one day to get me the item I paid for. I was looking into switching my gas fireplace from a wood burning one to fire glass one recently. I originally went to Home Depot thinking they would would have everything I'd need, but it seemed no one really knew much about fire glass, let alone fireplaces. So I called a couple specialty stores in the area but it was OC BBQ & Fireplace that was the most helpful. I spoke with Tosh over the phone who was very helpful and knowledgeable. They've been in this business for years and know what they're talking about. I had no previous knowledge about fireplaces so I had a lot of questions and called several times but Tosh was very polite and patient, he explained everything to me. He explained to me the basics of what I'd need and calculated how much fire glass to get based on my fireplace size. When I got to his store he had a wide selection of glass to choose from. I showed him a picture of my old fireplace and immediately he noticed I had a log burner which isn't meant to be used with fire glass because it's less efficient and could ruin the glass faster. He recommended I change out the burner as well. He had burner kits there and they were going to be an extra expense outside my budget (they were standard prices though) but he found me and H2 burner that would still work but at a more affordable price. They offer installation but I asked if this was something I could do myself as it seemed pretty straight forward. He showed me what I needed to do. I ended up installing it myself successfully and now my fire place is up and running beautifully. Tosh is an honest and fair man. I never felt like he was trying to sell me anything I didn't need. His prices were very reasonable, fair, and comparable to online stores and were cheaper than other stores nearby. If you are thinking to come to OC BBQ & Fireplace, do it, they are the best in the area and you won't go wrong. read more

Tosh and Edgar were awesome, gave a good deal (though little over my initial budget), installed right before long weekend in just couple hours after choosing a BBQ. They offered to price match BBQ guys and offered great price on display units. But unfortunately Tosh said, display units won't work for our cutout/no electric wiring found and also risk of BBQ sinking into island after installing . Only thing to consider is that, I had to follow up really closely with them to come over to check out measurements as they don't visit for giving quote and it was hard to explain with photos. But they made that up by installing on the same day in fact within couple hours of committing to them. I would definitely recommend them if you have little patience to follow up and provide exact measurements otherwise. read more
