We visited BBQs Galore to look at ceramic gas fireplace logs. I'd searched 5 different bbq stores in the area and because of Bryan being so helpful and accommodating, we bought them here. Since the logs were in stock and Bryan was willing to open a box for us, we asked for a quote and his price was better than all of the other stores. My general contractor recommended this chain since there are addititional discounts on certain brands of bbq's. Location is in the same shopping center as Mathis Brothers furniture. The parking is convenient since it's share with other retailers. The store is much larger than the Brea location and has a massive variety of bbq's, outdoor furniture, bbq accessories and even a demonstration kitchen - with fully operable bbq's. Brian S. was the salesperson who greeted me and was extremely knowledgeable in their products. Brian has worked here for many years and was incredibly helpful assisting me selecting items for my new outdoor island. I ended up purchasing the DCS 9 36" bbq which I'm super happy with. It has ceramic rollers to avoid flare ups, heats to 1100 degrees for searing and included a rotisserie that can hold and cook up to 50 lbs! The bbq also has a wood smoker and charcoal tray to give additional flavor and options for whatever I'm cooking - whether direct or indirectly over the burners. Overall, I was totally satisfied with my experience here since I purchased in December - avoiding the price increase, recieved a free set of access doors for a my sink and received complimentary delivery. Anthony is an amazing person and truly loves his job, we bought a bbq from him and only thanks to his comprehensive knowledge we did not have to return our bbg. Of course the island on which the bbq had to be located was not of the right size and the necessary venting was required, and the electrical socket also had to be moved. And only thanks to Anthony, everything was prepared properly so that the installation took place without unnecessary nerves. The BBQ's price we got from Anthony exceeded our wildest expectations, we could have thrown all the coupons into the trash ;) you have to call here first, then you'll save a lot of $$, I highly recommend it read more

This is for the BBQ cooking class. BBQ galore offers cooking classes that are top notch. However, I must admit I thought it was going to be a hands on, but despite this misunderstanding I truly enjoyed the whole experience. Chef John and Lauren were awesome!!! They are very friendly and welcoming and very organized. We came somewhat late, and thought we were going to be seperated, but Lauren had it down so that everyone could sit with the people they are doing the class with. Everything that was cooked was absolutely delicious. We came for the pecan pork ribs, cuban pork sandwich with mango salsa, and lastly the candied applewood smoked bacon with mapple rum whipped cream. Like I said before everything was top notch and the portions were very generous. Its nice, because when Chef Jon is cooking or seasoning the food, he is explaining what and why he is doing what he is doing. Pros: Very nice and welcoming Organized You can bring your own wine or beer. Highly recommend!!! They have the glasses and chillers for you to use. Insightful Servings are very generous, and delicious Cons: My A.D.D. kicked in after Chef John started talking about the different grill or something like that towards the end. Not sure if this is a con or pro but if your on a diet, this is probably not the place for you. Lucky for me I wasn't. Overall: This is something that you must try at least once. Its perfect for everyone, whether your a seasoned cook to someone that just knows how to use a microwave, everyone will have fun. RIP OFF GALORE!!!!! I went in on Father's Day to buy a BBQ and surprise daddy-oh with a nice new BBQ. It turns out they had the one I wanted, so I asked the manager if they had it in stock. He went in the back to check for it, and came back out to talk to his associate saying "Hey we have this in stock but it's on hold for someone but these guys are chomping at the bit to buy this thing right now. I'm going to sell it to them." This was my first tip off that these guys were not looking out for the best interests of their customers!!! Next, I decided that I would be a responsible consumer and wanted to check the inventory of the Home Depot across the street. When I told the guy at RIP OFF GALORE that this was my plan, he said, "well I hope you have terrible luck at Home Depot and that you'll be back." STRIKE #2 - these guys are NOT looking out for their customers' best interests! After all, I decided to buy it, and boy, it was a bad choice. My dad only cut the straps off the BBQ to look at it and decided that it would be too small. He did not take the BBQ out of its packaging or do anything else to it - he only took the straps off!!! When he tried to return it, the manager refused to speak to my dad about the return and instead hid behind his poor sales associate to deal with my father. RIP OFF GALORE charged him $260 to restock the BBQ that was in all original packaging and unused for which my dad had the original receipt from a transaction that occurred 4 days ago!! They charged him $260 to "restock" something that only needed new straps for the packaging! A complete joke and terrible customer service all the way around. These guys are living in the past. Save yourself the hassle and don't do business with them. They will most certainly RIP YOU OFF if you make the same mistake I did and try to buy your father a surprise gift. Having said all this, I'm near certain that their managers do not review their yelp ratings. If they did, their customer service might be a little more up to par. read more

Customer service is terrible to say the least. Company wide email is down for the last two weeks? This place is a joke. Purchased a green egg and a large turbo grill from this dump 6 years ago. They been rude every step of the way when it comes to warranty issues and troubleshooting. I'd say it's just this location but it's pretty much every store in OC. Total Rip-Off Galore and completely unfair!! That sums up my experience today. On Sunday my children gave me a Fathers Day BBQ gift. I opened the box to look at the BBQ because I had no idea what size the grill was. So I removed the straps and opened the top. I immediately knew the BBQ selected was too small. I put the top back on (never removing ANYTHING else) and tied it back together with ropes. I returned it today and they charged me $260 to restock saying because I cut the straps. Firstly, I could see charging a restock fee if I chose the BBQ myself, opened it and then changed my mind! BUT I didn't - IT WAS A GIFT. I had no way to know the size of the grill until it was opened. To add insult I really wanted to buy the larger grill but they didn't have it in stock at the store or their wear-house. Do yourself a favor buy ur BBQ on Amazon there is NO reason to ever deal with this ripoff company that still lives in the past!! Amazon is delivering my new BBQ in 2 days and will deliver it to my home!! All this bull with these B Galore (Rip off Galore) is not worth the hassle - DON'T DEAL with them!! EVER!! The store has a good selection of pellets and other items like wood chunks for all you backyard smokers, but the staff is pretty much useless so know what you want / need and don't bother asking them for help. Called ahead of time about GMG pellets because I had to cook 10 butts and 12 whole chickens and didn't have time to wait for them to be shipped. They said they carry all GMG pellet flavors and more such as apple, cherry etc. Well sad to say that's not true as GMG doesn't even make single flavored pellets. The clerk had no clue what they sold and even after she went to check inventory (twice) she didn't have the common sense to realize what she was looking at was actually BBQ delight pellets and wasn't in the 28lb bag. Bought a grand turbo from BBQ Galore a few years ago. Recently the ignitor battery/wiring/? caught fire and needed to be replaced. Since the burners have not been working quite right for a couple years, I was thinking about replacing them also. I head to the Irvine BBQ Galore store to inquire about parts, etc. Spoke to Scott who seemed like a nice guy and said parts (incl. burners) would be about $500 - rough estimate. He asks that I take a few pictures so the know what parts to order and a final price. I sent the pics a couple days later. A couple days after that I get a response from them saying "I'd be better off buying a new grill". Since this grill was not cheap and other than wires, was of good shape, I emailed back asking them for part numbers so I could order the parts myself. Well, a week later I have still not heard back. Nice. So I call / head over to OC BBQ Plus in Laguna Niguel (a former BBQ Galore store). The have ignitor parts in stock. I'm going to hold off on replacing burners, as they suggested just cleaning the gas holes. $166 and about 4 hrs later, I have my grill back. Most of the four hours was spent cleaning the gunk out of the tiny gas holes on 6 burners. Replacing the wiring (ignitors only) took about 30 minutes. Needless to say, I won't be returning to BBQ Galore ever again. read more

I go here in case of emergency. I find that their prices are high and they really do not have a great selection of reasonably priced grills and accessories. I would consider myself an experienced outdoor cook. I grill, smoke, bake, and stir fry on my Big Green Egg. I also have a Weber gasser and a couple other grills sitting around the house. I would not purchase a grill at Barbeques Galore because I know I can get a better price elsewhere. Also, I can get Royal Oak charcoal at WalMart for $6.37 a bag, so why would I pay $25 - 30 for comparable quality here? The staff appears to be friendly at first glance, but if you are not looking to purchase one of their high end grills, they seem to disappear quickly. I wish O.C. had a decent barbeque store. Bad service. There are rusty stains on the products surfaces. They did not have any solutions. The worst resale we met.

The staff are very helpful and the selection of tools and accessories is clearly above average. For grills and smokers there is a great selection as well. There are a lot of dry rubs available but unfortunately most are heavy on salt and sugar (cheap fillers) and I was seeking a better rub. They had a few which weren't but the sniff thru the bottle wasn't quite for me. It appears that the truth is you should really make your own rub. I tried one of the rubs here and it was a seriously salty biscuit. I would've had to go SUPER light AND been a Midwesterner or Southerner to appreciate this "Salty Sea Biscuit" rub. You live and you learn... The pricing on supplies can be cheaper than Walmart or Lowe's on some items. All in all, a good place and worthy of a "sniff". read more

Bought a Turbo Elite from BBQ Galore 1.5 years ago. Recently the ignitor battery/wiring/? melted and needed to be replaced. The far left knob also melted to the point where it is not useable.. We went to the Encinitas store where we purchased the grill to inquire about parts, etc. We paid $106 for a "service call" NOT scheduled by the Encinitas store but run out of Ramona or somewhere. The service tech was on time, polite and genuinely pleasant. He did not take much time or take a very hard look, but determined that I needed over $1K in parts/repair work. At this point, I must point out that BBQG did NOT install the grill. My landscape contractor did. So, I contacted my landscape company who promptly told me they would do whatever it takes to make me happy, including BUYING ME A NEW GRILL. They just want to see for themselves what went wrong. Next day, landscape build foreman arrives and does a THOROUGH inspection, including testing every knob, valve, switch and checking for leaks, looking at all wires...whole 9 yards. "Well, it looks like the igniter shorted and caused this obvious local damage but everything else works. We will happily replace this grill sir but, really, your grill is fine save for these two parts which you could probably replace yourself on the cheap." All in, 1.25 hour inspection/functionality check. No charge for the visit and an offer to replace the grill. I thanked him and contacted his boss. The real problem here is a lack of communications between BBQG and the landscaper who installs a lot of their grills. The landscaper did NOT follow BBQG directions with regard to ventilating my island. BBQG is very concerned with safety and liability, so, when the service tech noted the damage, he went high and to the right, airing on the side of safety and NOT getting sued if my grill blows up in my face. Now, I had to complain and argue until I reached the COO of BBQG but he explained all this to me in great detail. I still have damaged grill parts so this is an on-going story. However, the fact that upper management took me seriously and responded to my concerns, leads me to believe they are on the up and up. I am going 4 stars because ALL of this could have been avoided with a clear understanding of installation requirements between BBQG and the landscape contractor who sells a LOT of grills FOR BBQG. They need to get on the same page to avoid damaged grills and angry customers if they are going to continue their current business arangement. read more

I have been a long time customer of Barbeques Galore. Because of the COVID 19 my sunbrella umbrella is taking a long time for delivery. Placed my order on July 1st and still waiting and waiting for it. Here we are approaching September and summer is here and almost gone and no umbrella. I was ready to cancel my order at this store. After speaking to Bryan at the Irvine store. He takes his time with each and every call and explains in detail why it's taking so long and he's sympathetic . This young man has leadership skills and very informative and calming. I decided not to cancel because of Bryan's demeanor and convincing that we are all in this together with the COVID 19. Bryan young man I hope your management sees this and train you for upper management positions. You are certainly a asset to this company and any future place you may work at. Would never buy a grill here. Terrible customer service and grossly overpriced. Walked in on a random Wednesday around 2:30, and no staff to be found - I was only one in the place. Grand opening celebration was Saturday. I was there to see Sam the Cooking Guy. They set up a tent and chairs in the parking lot for a cooking demo. Got to sit next to some friendly folks (hey Joe and Pam). Sam was a great presenter, chatting it up with the crowd and being the regular guy who happens to have Emmys in the double digits. Inside, it was grilling heaven with styles for every budget. I spoke to Skye (a manager) and she showed me some of their smaller ques since we have a small balcony to work with. Took some info with me, but was impressed by the selection and friendliness of everyone there. Thanks for bringing Sam up to Orange County. It made my weekend. read more

this is strictly for the grill galore class. This has been a great experience for me due to the fact that that i love steak and grilling. I was fortunate to have john explain to me his techniques for grilling steak without the char. i usually do not attend or even pay for classes because i don't feel it is worth it but since my girlfriend paid i said why not.... the class included appetizer, entre and dessert and all throughout the course we could ask questions without any problems! john made the philly cheesesteak with a spin off using ny filet from costco it was delicious! i would recommend this class even if you are a pro at grilling it is pretty fun. The worst place to go for anything. I spent over $12,000 and within 2 years the outdoor refrigerator stopped working! I've purchased cheaper refrigerators from Costco an they last longer, way longer! Worst part is when I asked if someone could fix it they had no answers! I just needed it fixed yet no one was willing to fix it for me. I even spoke with a manager at the corporate offices and they were suppose to call me back. That was over a month ago and nothing has been done... They need to take lessons in customer service! read more

I've had my bbq a year now. I can't use it anymore because it might catch my house on fire. It's a hazard!!! And will catch on fire. Seeing that the bbq has a canopy cover over it it should not of rusted. The price of new burners could pay for a new bbq. Your bbq should come with a fire exstinguisher. read more

We've bought many BBQ from here. However, lately, the services and the employee attitudes have deteriorated. We just recently purchased another BBQ. We have not used the BBQ (a new BBQ unit) but noticed we couldn't turn one of the knob because of manufacture defect. However, when we call the store as well as company customer service, they refused to take responsibilities. They refused to honor warranty on a brand new, over $2000 BBQ unit that has never been used. They are under staffed and the salesmen have no knowledge of the products, installation process or how BBQs work in general. Two months ago I was there and after long discussion with my wife we decided to buy the turbo 4 burner with the stand, they said during an import issue with China the stand wouldn't be available for few weeks. So my wife said its the sign to not buy this. Now again after two months we went there to buy it and they say it's back order to mid September. Isn't this just messed up. I ordered a bbq cover for my delta heat, which I bought from them few years ago. It was supposed to take one or two weeks per them. Almost five weeks later and no notifications or even calls back. I went to the store twice to check. But, "may be next Thursday, will check with warehouse"!! Not even an attempt "apology" or a word of "sorry". Relaxed and careless attitude. BAD customer service. My wife went into BBQ Galore a while back and asked about getting our Grand Turbo fixed. She went back several times and asked several employees as well as the store manager about getting service work on our BBQ. We had purchased it at the store in The Market Place. She was told on each occasion that it couldn't be worked on the parts where not available and also for our particular issue that the part was built in and there wasn't any access. I ended up calling around and found a company called BBQ Renew LLC in Mission Viejo. They came out for free diagnosed the problem and fixed the issue. The part that BBQ Galore said was not accessible was replaced and the BBQ is like new. I feel BBQ Galore was not honest with us they just wanted to sell us a new BBQ. They don't stand behind there product and I would never do business with them again. read more
