Meh. I usually love Target. The layout of this Target is stupid lol I hate that the parking is underground, and then you have to go upstairs to get to the actual store. Seems like a dumb design to me. I am very clumsy, so I avoid stairs whenever I can. I'm not trying to break my neck over buying some milk lol So, that means I'm taking the elevator. The elevators were a bit crowded, because everyone was trying to get on them. Okay, that just created a traffic jam, and we haven't even gotten into the store yet lol Once I got inside, it seemed like the store was organized weird. It wasn't like a typical Target at all. Some household stuff, gotta love target they always have everything. I have been coming to this target location more and more since moving from La Habra to Brea. I have to say their drive up service has significantly improved. The service seems to go a lot quicker and smoother than it did before when they had the drive ups outside. Now they're underground in the garage and this seems to be working a lot better. This target also offers add on Starbucks orders, which is very convenient when doing a drive up order, they will bring both orders to your car. Overall my experiences at this target location have improved. read more

So I arrive about 8:30 on Saturday September 13. Up the escalator and at the top there is an elderly woman and her dog. Her dog is running free unrestrained by any leash and thoroughly enjoying this spacious linoleum dog park. Nearby there are 2 employees trying their best to ignore the situation while they diligently restock ceramic pumpkins. I head to the electronics section to buy 2 PS5 controllers. I find them, pick the ones I want and breath a sigh of relief as they are not locked behind some glass wall. Imagine my surprise when the hangers lock the controllers to the fixture. So I look through the electronics section, the seasonal section and the toy section looking for anyone with a name badge. There is more life in a morgue than in Target. Finally after my futile search over 33% of the store, I head to the woman's apparel section where no less than 3 employees are diligently hanging T-shirts at the fitting room. I ask the only employee who bothered to acknowledge me for help in electronics. She grabs her radio after swatting away her manager keyring and calls for assistance. I guess folding those $15 yoga pants are more important than assisting a customer in the flesh. Reluctantly I head over to the electronic cash register and begin my wait. I waited. I waited some more. Waited a bit longer. Alas, $15 T-shirts and ceramic pumpkins are more valuable than the $160 in controllers I actually bought at Walmart. Target must keep them locked up so you can neither steal nor buy them. read more

Lazy customer service member Harley lied to me. I came in for an exchange of food item that smelled rancid. The first thing I said was "Hi, I want to do an exchange on these." She didn't say anything and processed the item as I explained that they smelled off. She ignored me and tells me my refund will be going to my card. I remind her I wanted to do an exchange. She said the item is out of stock. I said that would have been nice to know. I go to the grocery isle and they're right there! So she lied because she was too lazy to process my exchange. read more

This Target is not the closest location to me, but I find myself driving out of my way to this location because I prefer it over other closer stores. This location is huge and is on the second story with an elevator & escalator. Below the store is a pretty size-able parking garage so there always seems to be parking. The drive up option here has a lot of spaces, and is very efficient when I have my baby with me and it would be difficult to make a whole trip into the store just for a few items. This location seems well stocked and organized with a good selection. The store itself is massive though so sometimes it's a little difficult to find what I'm looking for. When I've needed help finding things here the employees have been kind and willing to help. There is also a Starbucks at the front of the store, which is nice to have a drink while shopping. read more

This is not the time of year to criticize one's cellphone carrier, or even ask who your cellphone carrier is. Not only did he help me with a somewhat complicated return, but he was so kind and easygoing about the whole process. Huge Target with an exclusive parking lot out of the sun and easily accessible with an elevator, escalators, and cart escalators. There's one major downside to this location. 90% of the time, they have only 1 or 2 self-checkout stations available. I've seen all self-checkout stations closed multiple times as well and they don't want to do anything about it. They really need to make a 10 item or less line here as well because it can be extremely busy and only have two checkouts available at most. There are so many employees walking around here, yet nobody at the registers. I've gone multiple times just to buy an item or two and have to wait 20+ minutes in line because they move so slow. It's well stocked and the place is huge but everything is so slow. I cannot recommend this Target location at all. This place is bonkers. read more

My son received two of same gifts for his 1st birthday. I came to target to return 1 of the gifts. I didn't have a gift receipt because it was from his birthday party and I didn't feel that it was appropriate to ask for the receipt. There was a discrepancy between the price of the item on the app 74.99 and the price that was trying to be refunded to me 38.49. I asked for a manager, Miguel came over and was absolutely no help. He has zero problem solving skills and am surprised he is a manager here. I am extremely disappointed in the customer service here and will affect my buying decisions in the future. read more

Price on the shelf should be the price that rings up at the register. This was NOT the case at the Brea Target. At about 12:30 pm, I was trying to pay for some items. The light was on register five but no one was there. A voice from behind me somewhere said I will be right with you and then continued a discussion with some other employee about not being able to find her cleaning supplies. She shows up and asks if I want a bag and starts scanning items. The second item scanned rang up higher than the shelf tag so I told her and she said I needed to put in my Target Card. I said my wife has the card but the shelf tag said $1.40 for the item. Her response is that I have to put in my membership number on the keypad. I don't know the number, could call my wife and it is probably on a Target statement but why should I have to so I told her she won and left. I don't like using the Target card because the statement doesn't show up with the normal bills so I get a late charge. The only thing I really used Target for was the up and up items and the pharmacy but up and up is gone and CVS is the pharmacy. I've been too lazy to move my prescriptions to Ralph's but this has pushed me over the edge. read more

This review goes to Casey and the manager that was working tonight on January 9, 2024. I had ordered a pack of erasers for my students and came on over to pick them up. While I was there, I probably saw one of the rudest Karen's I've ever seen in my life. While complaining to the manager in her high-pitched voice, she decided to tell him that she "has a masters degree and isn't stupid," which I found quite ironic. The manager tonight, and the staff members handled her very well, and very professionally. Apparently, her plan is to call guest services through Target. BEWARE! EMPLOYEES WILL TAKE ITEMS FROM YOU AND NEVER RETURN THEM! Never in my life have I been more confused and disappointed by the customer service at this location. While going through the self checkout process, an item wasn't "available" in their system, (spinning top/beyblade) so I asked for customer service help to a nearby employee. The person running the self checkout line grabbed my item, and told me that they're not going to sell it to me. He just straight up took it, and placed it away from me. To make matters worse, other employees had come around him asking him about the item, and laughed it off as if it were a joke right in front of me. I found the Beyblade on the shelf, and it was properly labeled and sealed, and matched all of their other inventory. This Target in Brea is awesome. It's two stories but not located in DTLA. I ordered an item for pickup and the only one available for miles was at this particular Target. It was a Target exclusive item so while I did look elsewhere, this was the best place to get it without paying obscenely high prices on the secondary market. It's also a Christmas present so I didn't want to risk not picking it up. Anyway, my husband and I headed here after lunch with family, so we decided to check it out. We were impressed with the underground parking structure and the cool shopping cart escalator. I went to pick up my item and the process was seamless. I declined the plastic bag so I wasn't charged for it. The associate did give me a sticker for it, to prove that it was prepaid. I took a turn about the store and noticed the wide aisles and all the space. The place is huge. It seems to be well staffed too. I'm not in this area very often so this was my first visit here. We had a pleasant visit and didn't overspend. read more

A decent, usual, standard Target with the entire shopping located on the second floor, so you have to take an escalator up to get to the main floor. Everything was well stocked and I got another reusable Target shopping bag so that's always helpful to have instead of always paying 10 cents for their plastic bags. read more

Always kept very clean. They seem to have plenty of people to help you if you can't find something. Plenty of parking and they have parking to charge your vehicles. I don't know the number if it's two or three. I do want to reach out to women to be more aware. I have noticed on several occasions there's always a man hanging around out in front near the concrete red circle checking people. I would make sure to be aware if you're loading your groceries please keep looking around you and be aware of your surroundings. These men can sneak up on you pretty fast when you're not being aware. Most parking lots grocery and Target are making their customers aware but as a customer myself I want to make sure you are aware and always keep a lookout. Be safe out there read more

Can I please get a round of applause for the closing crew at Brea Target tonight??!!! I was informed by my lovely daughter at 10:45 that she needed the novel 'Wish' for school tomorrow, and that Target supposedly carried it. So I pulled up at 10:59 and with literal seconds to spare, I'm that guy, asking the fella manning the doors if I can please run in and see if this book is there. He slightly grudgingly allows me in, and I speed walk to the back of the store. I spend a couple a minutes or so scanning the shelves, with no luck, before the uneasy quiet of the now empty store got to me and I gave up looking. Pulled out my phone to see if it showed 'in stock' at the store and my phone's dead. Gave up and started walking out, figuring maybe we could go quick before school tomorrow. On the way out, I walked past the electronics section where a fella, who I'm guessing was the store manager, was closing out his drawer. I quickly told him my situation, and he pulled out his handheld to check stock, and his device's battery was also dead. Told him not to worry about it, he says check with one of the folks up front on the way out. As I'm walking out, I see a couple of fellas by the vitamins & ask them about it. He checks, & sure enough it's in stock, and he walks me back & shows me where. I grabbed the book & speed walked back up the front of the store, when I reached in my pocket & realized I HADN'T grabbed my wallet when I walked out of the house! And my phone is dead so no Apple Pay! But the same fella from earlier in electronics was now up at the front, and he asked how much the book was - $7.99. He grabs a complimentary $10 gift card, and says 'All good, he understood', and has it rung up. And then gave me the gift card with the change on it, because neither he, nor any of the employees were allowed to keep it! This Target is nice and reminds me of a Target you would find in Westwood. It's a second floor and it even has an escalator for your shopping cart. There's a parking garage connected to this so parking is pretty easy to find. This Target is fancy, but as of last Thursday it does not have an Ulta inside of it. The nearest Target with an Ulta is in La Habra. It's still a great Target, clean, large and has everything you would ever need or not need. I would definitely rather shop here than other Target's in the neighboring areas. read more

Every experience at this target is just "meh" Never horrendous (unless Drive Up is taking 20 minutes which does happen from time to time), and never great. Wow!!!! What a 'Target!' There are escalators in This 'Target,' so it makes it a 'Target Supercenter.' This page should be titled 'Target Supercenter'....this is literally an enormous 'Target' in the North OC area. So instead of 'Walmart's,' I shop 'Targets.' Lines would still be extremely long over weekends. I have friends down in the OC area, so I would still drive by the OC but I prefer IE and SGV for local errands....I stopped by here only on occasion along with Meeting up OC friends.... Im not a local citizen of Brea area and I only have been to this location this one time to buy roses and I was rudely speaked to and kicked out because i was walking around with an item and they told me if i was not gonna buy it to leave the store. For DRIVE UP/PICKUP orders. Plan ahead for a long wait if you plan to order from this store. The 2 hour pending time for your order to be gathered is INCORRECT. It's 4-6 hours per an employee at customer service counter. The only reason why I'm annoyed is because I ordered my 5 items early this morning, ran errands, and then drove over to do some extra shopping for items I forgot to include in the drive up order. This is almost 3 hours at this point. I talked to the employee at the customer service to find out a status on the order. He said, "you should just cancel it and go shop the items for yourself. You'll be waiting a while longer." I saw a bunch of employees standing around while previously shopping. In addition, to the guy I spoke with. (He's also HANDLING the drive up orders btw) (Wouldn't it be better if he was on the floor getting the orders or have other people help out if they're that FAR behind?) I typically love this target and have had really good experiences with drive up and returns, but I was super upset with how I was treated last time I went. I was exchanging Halloween lights for Christmas lights along with buying 2 beers. I was making small talk about how I didn't have time to put up the Halloween lights this year with this woman who was middle aged and she completely ignored me. She was clearly in a bad mood from the start.Then when she asked for my id for the beer she very rudely went "That's you?" I was actually so shocked at this comment, as I know I have gained weight but I didn't think I was that unrecognizable. So I asked, "wow it doesn't look like me?" And she just went "oh well you have piercings now..." honestly i should have gone to manager that night when it happened but i was so taken a back and still thinking about it days later. If target even reads this review this middle aged latina worker was working in returns on the night 11/21/2024. I was really happy before coming up to the counter and she made my experience really horrible that night and really had my head turning. This is my neighborhood Target and if I could give less than 1 star, I would. They, like most retailers post-pandemic, have decided to understaff the store to increase profits. They lock up toiletries and there is no staff to open the cabinets. The line at the self-checkout lane is usually down the aisle and they have one checkout lane. If you need help finding something, there is no one available and their shelves are not well stocked. I have to go to other Targets because they are so poorly stocked. I was in the store one night and the self-checkout lane was literally wrapped around the aisle and there was only one open checkstand, so I asked if they could open another lane and the manager said there were only 4 people working the entire store! The days of me browsing through Target and over spending are over. I only shop here when I need something and I don't feel like driving to another store. I went into target Friday march 22nd around 1:30 pm with my husband to buy him some boxers. We went straight to the boxers, and I checked my husbands boxers he had on to see if we were grabbing the right size. We went straight to the counter after that to pay. As we were leaving a young man was working in the front stopped us and rudely accused me and my husband of stealing saying we stuffed something in the back of my husbands pants. He insisted on seeing. So my husband lifted his shirt and showed him his butt, we explained we just needed to know the size. November 2020 Most of this rating is based on my experience with online orders/Guest service. I came in today to return a item and had my digital receipt ready on my phone. The customer service rep was friendly in the beginning but as we proceeded he insisted that since I did not have a physical receipt that they would not allow a return on the item. After explaining that the digital receipt should be valid to return items as well he asked a different customer service representative which said digital receipts were acceptable. read more
