The items were packed closely together on the shelves, which made me a little cautious about knocking things over. Still, I was able to find and purchase a pumpkin pillow that I really liked, so it ended up being a worthwhile stop. read more

This tjmaxx is great when it's good and lackluster when it's bad They're currently going under a small remodel which is actually really promising. Doesn't seem like they're actually building or removing any part of the store, more of a "re-organizing" project it seems, with maybe some updates to the fixtures. When they have a good variety of inventory with lots of things of sale, this location is a prime spot to hunt for a bargain! On this trip, I found a cute set of mugs and some great snacks on clearance. I will note however, they're notorious for putting trash out to sell lol What do I mean by that? Example, pricing a broken measuring cup with a missing handle for $0.30 It's funny and annoying at the same time lol Why put that out on the shelf like it's a goodwill? After a day of shopping at the Brea Mall and Nordstrom Rack with my girlfriend, she wanted to stop here as well. I hadn't been to a TJ Maxx in many years, but was quickly reminded of the appeal of this chain store. My girlfriend found a couple of clothing items and a journal to write in. I wandered the store and found a great deal on some CLIF protein bars. I even browsed the men's clothes, but really didn't need anything due to shopping at other stores. This TJ Maxx location was very clean and organized, even with the wide and random products they carry. Check-out was easy and friendly and saving money is always an added bonus. I look forward to shopping here again. read more

Very busy location, has a good selection of clothing, decor, snacks, accessories and jewelry practicality anything! Had a good amount of clearance going on too for Labor Day I assume. Staff is always very busy and some customers around lack personal space. However the deals and selection make it worth it. read more

oh tj maxx i love you. they have great things for everyone!! an incredible baby section as well as dog/cat aisle. i do all my xmas shopping here for co workers. i got my dad a $10 beanie for xmas he loved it. they have a large beauty area. just everything here is amazing!! great gifting items, travel luggage!! im legit turning into an old lady. their housewares is amazing too most people go out to bars and on dates on weekends.. i go to tj maxx. :D read more

TJ Maxx ~ the place where it's too easy to find stuff you didn't even know you needed This location is easy to get to and has good parking. The store itself is nicely organized and the staff (when you do encounter them) is pleasant. One of my favorite places to pick up seasonal decor and coffee mugs. Speaking of coffee, they usually have an excellent selection on Skinny Syrups to make your own gourmet dessert coffees at home. I never seem to leave this store without buying something - that's a good thing. Good prices and quality of items. I find some selections vary by the size of the store. The aisles are clear and the store is clean. I like that they have an available bathroom and dressing room too. read more

This location is huge! I always get so lucky finding things here. I love that they have a really large selection. Went to see what they have and found a few large items that will fit perfect around the house. Checked out their rock/crystal selections and found a big geode. You need to stop in and see for yourself. I am pretty sure you will find something you need, and something you never knew you needed. read more

This location is on the smaller scale for a TJ Maxx, or at least the ones near where I am at but still great deals nonetheless. Lots of merchandise everywhere you turn. Like with any discount store, you'll always find something, even though, you may only go in looking for one item. The parking lot is usually pretty full whenever I visit. I've never had an issue with customer service here or etc. read more

It's pretty obvious that this store does not cater to men. They've reduced their men section / boys section to a little corner in the store. Compared to the women's section who takes up about 75% of the store. If you think you're going to find some good deals here you're wrong because I don't carry anything. You better off going to Macy's they have great deals there and good sales. And I great men's section which is pretty much the whole floor. read more

I do enjoy shopping at this place. However, customer service/checkout sucks! They keep all the register lights on pretending they are all serving customers but actually only 1or 2 registers are open. Weekends are even worse they are "extremely" slow, line goes all the way back to men section. Jewelry department is even worse; a lady at the time was unattentive she didn't even acknowledge that i was there and just chitchatting away.. so rude and unprofessional.. it ruins your day by giving such bad service! read more

If you ever travel to Britain and miss TJ Maxx, then don't chu wurry! In the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, and Poland - they're referred to as TK Maxx so you'll surely be able to get your low price fix for that day. TJ Maxx and Marshalls are sister stores, both owned by TJX Companies. You don't have to pledge allegiance to either side. Simply, skip the Ross stores cause they suck. In my opinion, Ross has the more dominant brand name, but it's somewhat hectic and messy. With more than 1000 stores in the US, they carry items such as men's, women's, and children's apparel and shoes, fragrance, toys, bath and beauty, accessories, and home products, ranging from furniture to kitchen utensils. I tend to think that this Brea TJ Maxx location could be a rare exception, because it's decently civil in here and the store isn't in that bad of a shape. Better area, better store I guess. I tell ya... Bought an off market Dodgers jacket on my recent visit for $30 and I left the store feeling content. Makes you wonder why anyone would pay any more than they have to. Sometimes, being thrifty isn't all that bad, since you can spend that extra money on the real important stuff. read more

Isn't it weird that some TJ Maxx stores have different inventory. What I love about living in this area is I get to shop at two locations. If I can't find what I'm looking for I will go to the other one. This location is pretty close to the Brea mall off Imperial High way. Some of reps at the store seem like they really hate themselves. Others seem pretty happy. It all depends I guess who you get. My favorite things to buy at TJ Maxx are shoes, clothes and sometimes jewelery. Parking can get busy in this complex. It is sometimes a hit or miss, but that is with any store you go to. If you can't find something now you should still try again, it is always possible ! I think this is why I need to go to Shopping Anonymous. read more

Purchased an electric skateboard for 79$ and came home to find that it was 1) clearly used as the wheels had skid marks 2) manufactured in 2017 3) completely missing the remote control and charger, which aren't even available for purchase. This was intended as a gift so very disappointing. Seems like common sense to not sell a completely unusable item-- especially for 80$? Also countless boxes of other items like cosmetics here are missing items, I can't count the number of times I've seen a high-end makeup item and grabbed the box only to see it's partially or fully empty. read more

Yellow tag and reg tag clearance going on now throughout the store! I stopped by this TJ Maxx last night while my husband slept in the car (lol, he can't keep up with all of my shopping). I just browsed in a few departments, looking specifically to see if there were any good yellow and red tag items to purchase. If you are not a seasoned shopper at Marshalls and TJ Maxx, well basically throughout the year, items will get further reduced. And an item with a yellow sticker on the tag indicates that the item will no longer be further reduced. And being that it will be the cheapest it will go, you can see how shoppers will flock in and purchase up everything. But if you are late the party, they nothing really good is left. Anyways, I just looked at some of the items in the jewelry case (usually it if is locked up or needs to be unlocked... say a handbag for example, then you know it's good stuff) and also in the handbag section. Sadly there wasn't much left. I also did not find anything worth purchasing in the clothing section. Honestly, I just prefer shopping at Nordstrom Rack more (which is across the street by the way). I normally love TJ Maxx, so for me to write a bad review means the employees here are just horrible! I know what you're thinking, I probably had one bad experience and I'm writing a bad review-false! Try five different store visits and still not a single one of them did I leave happy . First of all, the managers here aren't what I'm use to at a T.J. Maxx store or a HomeGoods store. There was one Asian lady and 2 other "managers" of Indian/Persian/White decent who were just straight up rude. I was shocked at what kind of service I received these past couple of times and how they treated my mom and I. I was given a store "coordinator" when I asked for a manager. I saw her tag and asked if she was the manager and she said no. Ummm. Second, the managers aren't helpful nor are they professional at all. Instead of easing my worries, they rose my blood pressure instead. They refused to return a purse I had which had the tag AND receipt with it. I even offered to pull it up on my app. The Asian manager said (very unclearly might I add) that only general items could be returned and not name brand items. Um what??? I returned a Kate Spade purse and she said if it was another purse she could accept it. I went on to tell her that I did not read that anywhere on the receipt and I said I've done this at other TJ Maxxs. She rolled her eyes and said fine as if she was doing me a favor. Ummm lady this ain't no open-air swap meet for you to pick and choose what your cheapass wants to accept or not. I think she's confused at where she works. -Today, a "coordinator" laughed at me because I asked if there was a discount they could offer on a shirt my younger sister loved. It had thread coming out of the armpit area and I was willing to fix it for her later. When we asked she said no you can just cut it at home and I said no I will not do that to a shirt that should be new. I want to know the discount. She said like maybe $1.00 off and she laughed. (Not sure if I can mention names on here but she was the "coordinator" posing as a fake manager). I said what's the percentage off you cant just throw out "1.00" like you own the place. (Clearly I was frustrated because it's just been way too many problems with this location!) I said you're not even a manger, let me speak to one. She laughed as she called the manager and said can you believe they want discounttt (as she laughed and spoke in her heavy accent). I'M STANDING RIGHT THERE! I interrupted to say how rude that was and all I wanted to know was IF there would be a discount. She was literally trying to fix the thread with her own hands. Wow. The manager was like ok what about 2.00. I said ma'am what's the PERCENTAGE!!!! I said first you guys say $1 then $2 as if you guys have a choice in what to give off. She said we can only do like 10%. I said so you are going to say $2.00 from thin air and not do the damn math? It would have been 5.00 off if you did math. She kept saying ok 5.00 then. Like wtf. I was completely weirded out and I said I don't want anything. I walked out and asked for corporate number. She was still trying to make me buy the shirt like it's some damn personal business. Third, when you shop here and you're looking around, they make it seem like you're a criminal about to steal something. I have money. I am shopping. Relax. Damn. Fourth, they literally shove it down your throats to sign up for their credit card program. NO I DON'T WANT IT. THEM: ARE YOU SURE? You can save each time!! Seems like you shop here a lot! Me: No thank you. I said no. THEM: let's see how much you can save today. WTF. On the upside, there are SOME workers who are welcoming and nice there, but that's just the regular employees. I would avoid jewelry counter at all cost. Employees Carmen and Liz, are rude and don't know how to resolve issues professionally. Talking behind any customers back while they are walking away. is simply a lack of training. However Management handles things with patients and care. Worst location. They are making online returns extremely difficult. I waited 30 mins for them to recreating bar code for each item so they can scan and process the return. I even specifically asked if the refund will go back to my original method of payment. They said yes, but after 30 mins of waiting they told me they can only give me store credit because they didn't realize it was a paypal transaction.... terrible customer service read more

TJ Maxx overall, is a great place to go shopping for a lot of things on the cheap. In general, you can get items about 20-30% off of what you would pay for at the department store. This TJ Maxx location got much better after the Homegoods store in Brea opened up. I don't know if it is because there are less people, but hte store is cleaner and better organized. Great place to go to get fancy soaps for your bathrooms. Excellent prices on fitness apparel and workout clothes with brands such as Underarmour. Best place to buy luggage on the cheap. Good for foodie gourmet items as Christmas gifts. Not a whole lot of home decor stuff though. read more

TJ Maxx is one of my favorite discount store. Brand name items for less. They carry clothing and accessories for men, women, kids and babies, toys, shoes, home items and etc. I particularly like this location because they seem to have more stuff to offer than other locations I've been to. They have a huge selection of pots and pans and all kinds of kitchen gadgets from Kitchen Aid, Cuisinart and Food Network brands. They are also much cleaner and not as messy compare to Ross and Home Goods. Even though it's the holidays, they have managed to keep the store fairly organized. A typcal TJ Maxx store. The Children toys and Home areas have limited selections. I usually can't find anything there. If you come here to hunt for bargain, it's one of the places to go. This store branch is clean and organized. Designer clothing is sectioned to the right while other clothing is sectioned according to type. Shoe selection is slightly limited compared to other TJ Maxx stores, but I find that there are less damaged items at this store. Employees are nice... will hold items for you overnight if you need to think about it. Home decor items are adequate... I would suggest going to Home Goods for those items. Overall, I usually find something and always save money (purchased 3 items today for $32... retails for $500 or more). Happy Shopping! :) read more

Horrible! Was shopping here and noticed they were training new employees at the register. The poor newbies looked nervous as hell and had no idea what they were doing. Then they were left by themselves to help customers and didnt know how to work the register or take off the sensor tags. I asked one of them how long they had been working here and they said it was their first day. Why are employees thrown on the register alone with no training??? Shame on the managers! read more
