Baby girl and i stopped at walmart a few weeks ago and got some Christmas decorations. They had such beautiful trees and decorations. I wanted to get so much stuff but only so much room lol.. but found some stuff and they had such beautiful trees I had to take some photos of them. Made me want a new tree, busy always at this location but it's convenient and easy to find things. Customer service is usually always friendly here too and big parking lot but its always busy. Scammed again. I handed clerk some items I didn't want. Didn't put them on the conveyor belt. Personally handed them to her to ensure that she wouldn't scan them . Somehow they ended up on my receipt. Before checking out I checked the tiny digital screen and everything was accurate except for the total, except at that time I didn't do the math yet. Only a few items.. what could go wrong! Only afterwards did I see that the subtotal was over and that she had listed and added in the items that I told her that I didn't want . This is not a misunderstanding as she verbally acknowledged my request and even confirmed that all was well by telling me to check that impossibly small digital screen that's impossible to scroll that's from like the 90s ! I used to love Walmart up to about 6 years ago. But even about 16 years ago people would tell me they avoid Walmart because of the people there . At the time I thought that that was harsh. Well... Walmart has really fallen and the clerks knowingly try to scam dollars out of each customer . Avoiding Walmart from now on. Moving on over to target. read more

Low prices and huge selection. Came in for some laundry items and boxer briefs. Unfortunately they were either out of stock or no longer carry the boxer briefs that i prefer. Walmart did have most of the laundry items that I was looking for. Be prepared for crowded aisles and some rude customers. But the prices are low so you can either pay more in hopes of better clientele or suck it up and get in and out as quickly as possible. I'll return. read more

Very disappointing experience at the Walmart electronics department on July 12, 2026, at approximately 2:30 PM. I waited 15 minutes just for a manager to come and take a pair of AirPods off the shelf. Something this simple should not take that long. This is a nice Walmart that is well lit, nice layout, and wide aisles. Prices are competitive and well marked. Something for everyone. Lots of parking too. I found many of the associates to be quite helpful. (They have a Burger King inside too for your snacking pleasure) read more

Incompetence at every level. Bought a 4 year warranty battery at this Brea location and they installed it. Two weeks later, my car won't start. I buy a jumper, doesn't jump. Had to call AAA. They had to try 4 times to jumped it. Called Walmart to ask if they had my battery in stock, they did. They said they would pull it aside. Drove to that auto center where it was in stock. Waited in line, talked to the manager who greeted me once at the front and I shared AAA's battery test findings. He said they had to test it too. No problem. 15 minutes later, your battery is fine. What? I had to pull out AAA result again and then magically, oh, the result (drumroll please, dead battery and under warranty). They then struggled to find the confirmed in stock item they set aside for me 10 minutes ago. An hour later, they have found it and can replace it. Now I'm being told there is an up-charge because I had the wrong battery installed. WTF? I said I bought the battery from you, you said which one I needed (and there was only one) and you installed it here. How could that be? After more consternation by the staff, I asked for Jeremy (the manager) to come back over. Re-explained everything g with the receipts and he said it is only $7. I told him this must be a scam, no consideration for my wasted time? Nope. I said I'll pay the $7 and never come back. You should not either. read more

If i could give zero stars & write a review i would! Absolutely worst experience Ive ever had at Walmart! The employees become younger & ruder! No customer service, no communication skills, they allow them to wear saggy pants & be on their phones at the registers. Today the cashier didnt ask or greet us at all, when my mom asked a question he ignored us, had an "i hate my job" attitude the entire time! he grabbed his phone didnt say anything, so i asked are you done working? Walmart is great when it comes to prices and variety -- you can usually find just about everything you need under one roof, which is super convenient. But the one thing that constantly tests my patience is the complete lack of available help. Seriously, where are the employees? I get that some items have to be locked up because of theft -- I'm not mad about that. But if you're going to lock things up, at least make sure more employees have keys or that someone is nearby to assist. Trying to buy something simple like paint turns into a 20-minute scavenger hunt just to find someone who knows someone who might have the key. The paint department is the worst. I've literally walked out empty-handed because I couldn't get anyone to unlock a basic item. It's frustrating enough that I've started going to Lowe's or Home Depot instead. Sure, I pay a little more there, but at least I can get in, get what I need, and get out without feeling like I'm on an episode of "Where's Waldo?" If Walmart could fix the help issue -- especially around locked merchandise -- they'd be unstoppable. Until then, it's hit or miss depending on how much patience you've got that day. read more

On November 28, I visited this location:2595 E Imperial Hwy, Brea, CA 92821 to purchase gift cards for our employees. I planned to buy two Mastercard gift cards ($500 and $250) and 37 Walmart gift cards ($25 each). The associate, Cynthia, stated that the store policy limits gift card purchases to $1,000 per day. I explained that I would use my credit card for $750 and my husband would use his credit card for the additional $925 in a separate transaction. Cynthia refused, saying that because we were together, we were considered one customer. Supervisor Leona also declined the transaction and told us to buy online. We have purchased gift cards at this location many times and have never encountered this issue. I later filed a complaint with Walmart customer service, and the representative agreed this refusal did not appear to follow any valid policy. We went to the La Habra location and successfully completed the purchase without any issue. At that store, we learned that each gift card must be opened and individually scanned, which takes additional time. This led me to believe that the issue at the Brea store may have been due to unwillingness to spend time processing the transaction. The experience at the Brea store was very disappointing and unprofessional, and we will no longer shop at this location. read more

That's right, I am about to review Walmart. Like any other retail store location, if it's next to you then you're probably gonna go more often. I don't go to Walmart regularly but I'll be next to one for the next month so this has allowed me to pop in to this location and pick up some stuff. I learned a few things about Walmart this time around: 1) this location doesn't offer all the stuff that a "super center" Walmart location does. There's one of those a few miles away. The benefit of the super center is that they do a lot of cooked food which I really appreciate. This Brea location is NOT a super center unfortunately. 2) I'm wondering whether Walmart actually saves you money or is just cheap and kind of crappy. Most people love Walmart pricing but hate actually stepping in to a Walmart due to lines and sometimes below-average customer service. Well, problem is mostly solved by the drive-up pickup station here. As long as you hit the $35 minimum and do some planning ahead of time- Walmart will send you a text when your order is ready. Park in your assigned spot, pop your trunk, and voila. Overall, the drive-up service here at the Brea location is excellent and I've used it repeatedly over the past few months. Pro tip: sometimes the items are a bit janky (scratched or partially opened), so make sure to double check the quality of them while they get loaded into your car. They will normally swap it if its still available in store. read more

I have passed by this Walmart location often, but never knew it was a Walmart, looking from the street. There is no sign or placard facing Imperial, on the street, so it feels a bit hidden. A few weeks ago, I was looking up Burger King locations and was surprised to find one located in the Walmart since usually McDonald's are located in Walmart locations. The BK is located to the left of the entrance, next to Customer Service and the restrooms. I had a traditional paper coupon, which they accepted, along with my BK app for points. They also had a few made paper crowns, which is very nostalgic for me, and a great thing for kids, or even Halloween fun! I only used the restrooms and ordered from Burger King, so I cannot review the Walmart store itself. The restrooms were cleaner that I had expected for a Walmart, which surprised me! I would expect this Walmart to be like other Walmart locations in terms of service and general items in the store. The parking lot was a bit littered with trash here and there. There were workers at the doors to check purchases and direct you to where you need to, if you had any questions. There were also workers in the parking lot gathering shopping carts. Overall, it is conveniently located on Imperial and if I never need anything, it'll be easy for me to grab something along the way. There is NO available help if you need to get something thats locked up. It took more than 30min to find someone who can unlock a few items for me. I've been sent around in circles by a few employees. At this point, walmart can keep all the stuff they locked up as far as I am concerned. The main store is nice and all the isles are kept up, well organized. It's nice to come to a Walmart that doesn't have ghetto people trying to fight each other for X reason. Now there tire center isn't the most professional employees not saying that all employees acted unprofessional. I came in with a flat tire with no appointment since I had warranty (road hazard) on the tires. Once they looked at my tire they advised me that they could not replace the tire and that I had to purchase a new tire. I asked about the warranty and they hadn't even looked up my account to check if my tires were still under warranty. They advised to go to the desk and inquire about the warranty. They then figured out that I did have warranty on the tires but they did not have my tires in stock and would have to wait a week for replacement. I asked if they could replace my tire with a used tire that I had in the trunk. They advised me that per Walmart they can not install used tires. Total waste of 2 hours so that they couldn't do anything for me even though my tires were under warranty. WOW read more

So I went into this location at about 10:30am today to get a few things. There was a big display of chips salsa and cheese sauce that had big signs 2/$5. No other signs no labels. So I picked up 6 cheese sauce with my other items and went to check out at the self checkout and as I started to scan the items the cheese sauce was not coming up the sale price. The employee that was running up the front when I asked about she asked if I took pictures of the sign. Well as I can go on and on no one went to go look or check the price they wanted me to go do it and whoever was checking themselves out said they run that isle and the price is only for the chips. However again they had no separate sign for the sauce and refused to help me. So I left my other items behind and I told the employee that if I was weights and measures that I would fine the store big time and left. So note check your receipts and please audit your store if this happens again I will report it and it's this location only. read more

This review is for their customer service/ returns counter specifically! They make their own rules regarding returns, we had our baby shower last weekend and rcvd excessive amounts of diaper, one of them was the parents choice diapers (walmart brand) which I do not use for my kids. I tried to get store credit to get something else but they said that it's to their discretion or managers policy/ discretion to accept any returns. So they implemented their own policy for diaper returns which is ridiculous. I asked to speak to a manager and KIM came and told me that it's their own policy and I asked her to see it in writing and she gave me this paper that had absolutely nothing to do with returning diapers. The box was even sealed / unopened, so their was no excuse to not accept my return. read more

This location is literally my favorite one! I wish they had a grocery store which would make it even more perfect but I always seem to find clothing here over all the other locations. I found sweat pants I really wanted in another location but only had 1 in stock and the wrong size. I came to this one, and they had tons in stock and so many sizes available and this is after I saw those sweat pants weeks ago!!!! I also love their beauty section because it's a separate section with their own cashier too, not sure what that's about or the purpose for that is but it's nice anyways. Also a different Walmart has their beauty section locked and covered and you have to actually call for an associate to help you and sometimes it could take forever. I love how this location doesn't have that and you are free to get any item without having to ask permission. I also feel like this locations had more stuff available and more choices available compared to the other locations. I can always count on this location to have everything I need. I even really like their food area because there's a lot of unique items there. read more

I purchased a steam mop at 8:14am. Took it home and attempted to use it for 2-min. Returned at 8:45am. The return worked AND manager would not accept the return because the roller was "damp". I definitely understand how Walmart definitely caters and have and attract low mentality humans that lack common sense. The one/two times I have been to Walmart will now be zero in the future. My husband and I went here tonight 1/17/2025 to get a few things including a new coffee pot. Unfortunately, we get back home to find someone put their dirty old (likely broken) coffee maker in the box and returned it. Learning lesson for us to open the box before leaving the store. However, I'm appalled that staff would treat my husband like a criminal for wanting to return/exchange a $59 coffee maker because we did not get what we paid for. It was not our fault that you (Walmart) failed to educate or hire staff that checks returned items before they are actually returned. Or possibly, there are untrustworthy staff among you doing things like this. This will be escalated to the manager and higher up if we need to. This is why we shop at Target. read more

I went to Walmart auto care center to have an oil change this morning. I had an appointment. I was greeted fairly quickly by a service person and asked which level oil change I wanted. I replied I'd like the semi synthetic that was about $38 and change. The service person went on to tell me that they were out of all the oils except for the most expensive synthetic. I asked if he could comp me the difference since it's their problem they ran out of the oil and not mine the "manager" came out and told me he couldn't comp me the difference and that could go check at other walmarts if I'd like. I thought why should I have to do that?, this sounds like a wal-mart problem. Anyways I went ahead and got my oil change because I was there and needed one. Halfway through the service the manager came out and informed me that my tires were too old and that if I were to get an accident I could be held liable. I thought to myself WTF bro those tires have less than 20000 miles on them and have 0 sign of dry rot or cracking. I thanked him for his concern. After I paid for my oil change which went from $38 to 75 I went retrieve my truck and again was given a lecture about how old my tires are. I again thanking first concern and left. I have to give Walmart props I have never been screwed on an oil change and lectured about tires in the same visit. read more

There seems to be a new manager in the auto care center. When I checked out, he didn't even let me know that my tire rotation hadn't been done, which was plainly noted on my invoice. Can he read English? He doesn't seem to understand his role of communicating the invoice info to the customer. When I went to my car, I noticed that the rotation had not been done; it was then that I inquired with the service personnel, and they explained. All it would take is a highlighter to mark each invoice statement to serve as a tickler to alert the customer that not all of the service was done. It's very hard to purchase something to pick up from the store. I don't want to wait in my car for somebody to bring it to me I want to just run right in grab it and run out but at this store the self pickup is all the way in the back of the store so you have to go through the entire mob of people and everything else to pick anything up. I go to Target It's easy You go right in the front door up the escalator and the pickup is right there in front of me so easy. More people would pick up one item two items five items at a time If this was more convenient. read more
