This rite aid has come through when I've run out of meds and my mail order didn't come in time. Shoutout to the pharmacists and pharma techs for being helpful. This is a great store and pharmacy. It's like a mini-grocery store; there's a lot of extra space here so the aisles are wide and clean. Not only does it have medications and medical and nursing supplies like most other pharmacies but it has all sorts of other groceries and sundries. There's even an ice cream stand with Thrifty ice cream. Brings back memories. I came here for the ice cream but left with kitchen stuff and cleaning supplies as well. I think with the extra unused space, Rite-Aid could set up a medical clinic or urgent care center in house. read more

EDIT: 5/13. After calling again this AM and discussing the issue they were able to fill my dog's medications and found the error that occurred on their end. The pharmacy manager, Shauna reached out to me personally and apologized and explained what had occurred on their end that resulted in this delay. The timing was poor due it being a weekend. I really appreciated Shauna reaching out and explaining the situation and apologizing as this makes me feel more confident that my dog's medications will be filled appropriately moving forward. Changed to 4 start but still minus 1 due to the past issues. read more

I haven't been to a Rite-Aid in a long time, so we decided to go in and get some Thrifty Ice Cream. We went to the counter and looked at the prices and realized we could get two 1.5 quart containers for only $7. A single scoop is $1.99 and double scoops is $2.99. With our family of four, we decided to get Chocolate Malted Crunch, Mint Chip, French Vanilla and Black Cherry. I grew up eating this ice cream and the Chocolate Malted Crunch and Mint Chip were and still are my favorites!!! We decided to buy the Thrifty Ice Cream Scooper too! $29.99 seems a bit exorbitant for a scooper, but elsewhere it can cost about $80. The employees here are so friendly and seem to be juggling multiple duties. They thanked us numerous times for our patience because we were waiting a while to check out. This pertains to the pharmacy. Why they can't keep one pharmacist on duty during their lunch hour so that you can pick up a prescription is beyond me. I get there only to find out I was not able to get my prescription because there wasn't a pharmacist who could "counsel" me on the medication. From prior experience, being "counseled"involves being asked if I had any questions. I wasted my time to come here and now have to come back. Their text messages advising that you had a prescription to pick up should include the hours that they are unavailable to dispense medications. That would be a major improvement. read more

DON'T waist your time at the pharmacy! In 2020-2021 I went to that pharmacy. AND EVERY TIME THERE WAS AN ISSUE FILLING THE LORAZEPAM! It was always the 30 days, I never called in earlier. But for some reason they always had an issue, I don't know why? First they said the Doctor had to call. I would go back and forth with them, because the doctor said she did call. But they would say she didn't. Meanwhile I'm going on 10 days without a prescription that was given to me for a reason. The bad part is, if you start going ballistic, then they think you have a problem! But they are liars at this pharmacy. Since then I have switched back to Kaiser.They have the EXACT SAME Policies, and I have never had an issue with Kaiser. My husband went in to rite aid last night to pick up an order for some plastic surgery I'm having in a few days. They gave me everything but one item, ( keep in mind the DOCTOR called it in or emailed ) I called them when I noticed they forgot a Prescription. They then placed me on a long hold, the same lady that I had issues with before got on the line and said the doctor called her and told them to cancel that one and they couldn't give me that because I got it in 2020 or 2021. They lied AGAIN! I asked my Dr. If he did that he said no , and was a little confused. Probably thinking I was the crazy one . IF THIS PHARMACY DOES NOT WANT TO GIVE ME OR ANYONE ELSE A CERTAIN PRESCRIPTION. DONT LIE !!!!! Just say you don't want to fill it !?!? It's not even the drugs with me I can go without them . The diversity of commodities, professional staffing, well planned....blah blah yeah right I came here for the ICE CREAM!! Sure, this store has many benefits, but like many reviewers before me, I came here for the ice cream. I do not think I have ever said, man, I need to get my drugs from rite-aid, or my pencils or magazines, those are all great and this store has them, but it has one more item which many flock to. In fact, when I arrived there was 5 people in line to get ice cream. I did peruse the magazine section, not as huge as Borders but will do. I did browse thier neat, tidy aisles. I also veiwed potential party decorations. I also loved viewing the palm trees outside. Most of the stuff here I usually buy at other stores except for the ice cream of course. But what I loved most was Pistacho & Chocolate malted crunch on a sugar cone. I have loved this ice cream like a fat kid loves cake back when I used to get it at thrifty's in South Gate. I also adore the pecan praline, banana-nut when possible, rocky road and chocolate chip, oh and sherbet too. The parking was great, service was great too, I plan to come back to rite-aid in the future, for the ice cream, then hit the gym, of course. read more

Wish there was a zero stars choice. Seriously the worst customer service at this location,. I've been here several times, so I am not writing this review from one incident. By far has the slowest check out line EVER. For no apparent reason. Second, they are ALWAYS out of the ice cream you want and seem irritated when they do have to serve you. Finally tonight, I was there to purchase a gallon of ice cream. Of course my luck, i get in line to pay and the customer in front of me had 80 items, one cashier working as usual. The cashier says to me, you can "use the self check out if you like". I proceed self check out, scan my item and realize it does not accept cash and I do not have my wallet. Great :(! Ughhhhhh I cancel my transaction, now there is 8 people in line and the woman cashier turns to me and says " you have to get to the back of the line". Wow. What a joke. Seriously, would they like to be treated this way? I rarely write bad reviews, I also run a business so I know the affect reviews pose. I'm hoping the manager would review this and really ask their employees to treat people the way they want to be treated. If I could give negative reviews I would! Just went in to purchase $1,600 in gift cards for employees of mine . First off they treated me like a crook.. they had the manager job come help me becuase I was using a business card and they didn't want to sell to me. Upon check out I told him I would need a bag. After the purchase I asked for my bag and he said "oh I didn't charge you.... got ten cents?" I said no .... he laughed and walked away. During my purchase it wouldn't accept my card the first swipe becuase the chip was dirty and he laughed then walked away. After the transaction went through he came back asking if I wanted him to put everything back and I said no I just purchased it .... he looked confused and said "oh" As a business owner local to the area I have never felt so disrespected. I was appalled at the treatment I received! This manager needs to get some training from rite aid on how to treat customers! I just spent almost $2,000 at your store in one purchase! Generally they do really well with things like antibiotics, or one time prescriptions. The drive through makes it so easy. Sometimes the lines can be really slow though. Auto refills are another story. At this location, they messed up my auto refills every month. I transferred my auto refill prescription after having to call every month to get them to fill it. read more

They have good sales, and every time I come in here I always find what I need. If you want to come here because the website says they are having a great deal on photos- don't come here! The kiosk are so ooollddd and slowwww the computer is bigger than I am. You have to bring your own usb to connect, you canNOT connect via Bluetooth etc. so I actually had to leave, go get my own and come back. I'm actually still sitting here 10 minutes later while this dinosaur of a kiosk attempt to find all my photos. ***update: I chose my two photos, then an error code appeared on the screen and said "your order could not be completed, you were not charged" and then shut off. I wasted 30 minutes of my time. This review is not negative because of the employees, it is negative because they advertise for a service they supposedly provide, but IT DOES NOT EXIST HERE. Poor review for service provided by employees. I've found that the two female employees who work at cashier are quite rude, refusing to take my coupons even though they clearly in the print of it say that it can be used PER item and for an unlimited amount. When I didn't understand why the computer was beeping for the coupons, they just stared at me and didn't offer any help at all, just saying that I can't use it. This has happened twice on different days of the week with two different women at the cashier. Very unhelpful and rude, took a few of my coupons even though they didn't go through instead of giving it back. read more

99¢ section is pretty awesome. Mostly friendly. Clean store. Prices aren't great but I'd rather go here for one or two items then go to the hell whole which known as Walmart. All the women in this place seem to work in the mornings and they always have guys working at night; after coming here for a while I can see why. The crime and the kind of people that shop here are TERRIBLE. One of the cashiers, short, kind of overweight (sorry), dude you can see trying to make the customers check-out experience as smooth as possible, the really young guys seem to stress out pretty easily, the other guys on the floor are either dealing with police, a shoplifter, or someone throwing a tantrum over ice cream (like, really lady? It's ice cream - not the end of the world. Grow up. Not to mention scooped ice cream is disgusting). Considering the stuff the afternoon/night crew deal with I'm surprised to have seen the same faces for so long. They do go out of their way to be as helpful as possible though. Like when I bought a bunch of stuff and forgot my bags they offered to help me to my car (their carts no longer outside - they get stolen too apparently) several times. The company (Rite Aid) CLEARLY does not care about this location. There is absolutely no support for this store or its employees at all. Do they even care about their safety? They seem to take theft and crime personally here (which is a good thing, I guess, because it means they care) so I'm just waiting for the day I'll have to give a police statement because some employee was stabbed for approaching a shady customer. With all the young guys working nights I would not be surprised when one of them snaps and goes after another person doing a "grab and run" or follow them out of the store. The four stars are for the employees, hopefully they can keep their morale up despite the crappy people that seem to gravitate towards this place. The company itself gets one star. This location has the worst ice cream station I've ever encountered at any Rite Aid. They're almost always out of every flavor and their freezer must be permanently broken because the ice cream always has ice chunks all over it. On top of that, the employees are stingy about giving out reasonable-sized scoops and the whole station seems dirty and unsanitary. BEWARE OF PHARMACY!! They have been filling my prescriptions for years. However, one time I had to get a couple "new" prescriptions (new for me). These took different doses, btw. I took my first doses and felt strange afterwards. I went to read the bottles to check to see if I took them correctly as indicated on the bottle (which I did) .... BUT the medications were PUT IN THE WRONG BOTTLES!!! Luckily, I caught this after just one dose and luckily it didn't kill me. However, this could be a detrimental mistake to someone else, as you could imagine. When I went to tell them, they seemed "unconcerned" to say the least. I expected them to take this MUCH more seriously, however I didn't get much more than a "Really?". I hope they make a better effort to make sure this doesn't happen again, as this could make a person very ill, or worse! They are also sometimes very bad about calling back after you leave a message with them. * The reason why I give them 2 stars rather than 1 is because they have been generally okay for me for many years in the past. It's a decent drugstore. So far on our vacation, we've been here every day for something or another. I needed AAA batteries for my headphones so we went there. On the rack, we saw there was an 8 pack with a sign that said $6.99 plus $1.00 off with a coupon. We looked for the coupon at the Pharmacy waiting area, but after we looked through all of them that were there, there was no coupon for that. So I asked at the register and she was so friendly and she gave me a flyer which had the coupon in it. And she also mentioned that the Children's Miracle Network $1 donation comes with another $1 off coupon. She was pretty well versed on how to save money on what I'm looking for and was so friendly. We went there again today to look for something for cold sores but it was for almost $20! We went elsewhere and found it for over $4 cheaper. So it's overpriced here, but they're nice. First off, let me say that all of the folks in the pharmacy have gone FAR out of their way to give us the most personal service possible. That is a big statement for pharmacies which elsewhere always seem to be habitually cold and methodical. I went to the pharmacy here and they are extremely useless. I was denied my prescription because they said they wanted to verify with my dentist about my prescription even though I had his prescription paper that was given to me signed. It was for pain medications after my wisdom teeth removal. And since the dentist was already closed they couldn't call and told me I would have to wait. Not just a few cents, but like 2-3 dollars!
