With 179 shops and 1.3 million square feet of space, this is one of the best malls in Orange County. Despite opening in 1977, it feels modern instead of ancient, hip instead of archaic. And it contains both a See's Candies and a Läderach, two of our favorite chocolate shops! The only area that needs improvement is probably the food court with some pretty mediocre chain restaurants and nothing exciting. The rest of the place is a really good mall with the typical anchor department stores. It even has the only in-mall Dick's I've ever seen! read more

I really like Brea Mall. It's spacious, modern, and has a nice layout that's easy to walk around. The stores always seem well organized, and whenever I've asked about a particular item, the associates have been friendly and helpful with pointing me in the right direction. I also enjoy the food court area since there are a lot of dining options to choose from, and the whole area is usually kept pretty clean. The only downside for me is parking. This mall is almost always busy, so finding a good parking spot can sometimes take a little patience. Even with that, it's still one of the malls I enjoy visiting when I'm in the area. read more

My dad decided to visit this mall on Mother's Day. It was crowded and the whole mall was renovated with an expansion of new restaurants, outdoor area, and modern retail stores. They even offer three popular boba tea selections like Chagee, Heytea, and The Alley. It's basically a rich people mall like Valley Fair in San Jose, but has free parking. There weren't a lot of seats for this big mall. They should add more benches to the outdoor grassy area and some shade. It's a really posh mall since their renovation. There's a bus stop located in front of Macy's parking lot, which you can travel around Orange County with the OC Bus and SGV with Foothill Transit. A bit of a five minute walk to the stop, but the buses are convenient. read more

Review 41/365 Day Challenge My local mall has definitely gotten a fresh new look. There are so many stores, eatery shops and cool vibes here now. Hey tea shop just opened up on 02.13.26 and CHAGEE Tea Shoo opened right before the Holidays 2025. When they did a face lift remodeling of Brea mall with demolishing Sears Department store and adding the new wing with the outdoor area. It definitely gave an updated modern atmosphere to the mall. the new Wing of Brea Mall. New Alo & Uniqlo Store is really big and a lot of selections. Associate are nice and informative when asking for a particular item i was looking for. Store is organized and nicely well set up. Color coordination. They sell work out clothes and it is on the higher end price. But quality looks very durable. Definitely has a lot of foot traffic. A lot of my friends are excited about this shop coming to our local mall. So glad to see My fav department store Nordstrom's is still here. Holiday time, Santa & Bunny photos available during their season. Food court has decent food such as Blaze, Lollicup, Ghengis Khan, Jamba Juice, Cinnabon & lots more. During the holidays, Nordstrom department has valet parking available. There is a Starbucks Kiosk in the center of the mall in front of the Elevator. Parking here at the mall is busy especially since currently under construction of a new parking along with upcoming apartments being built here. I like the Brea Mall. There's plenty of parking available all around the mall. It's a huge mall. I enjoy the decorations and fountains throughout the property. It seems well-maintained overall. I came here recently during the holidays and boy was it busy! It was super crowded and the lines were long. What do you expect during the holidays though? Can be very crowded and busy. Parking can be difficult during peak times especially in construction zones areas. Mall is also crowed with small kiosks in middle of the walkways and mall areas can be difficult to navigate through. Some long term tenants have left but still remains busy mall. There are shops outside of the mall as well as well as more restaurant options if you want to venture outside of the mall. In mall food options are adequate not abundant. read more

Hats off to some of the managers at Dick's Sporting Goods -- especially the tall gentleman (around 6'4") who provided excellent service. He went above and beyond and represents what customer service should look like. That said, I had a different experience with one of the male managers. I asked him for help finding a compression shirt -- something I'm sure he could have easily assisted with -- but to my surprise, I didn't get any help. I came in ready to spend money, as I usually do in your store, but after that interaction I'm reconsidering and may take my business elsewhere. To the manager who helped me -- keep up the great work. This mall is INSAanE !! ! I've never seen SO many people in a mall all at the same time ! Everyone , mother , father , brother , sister , extended family , grandparents , children , babies ... everyone .. is here. It's a bit too chaotic for me. But that's just me. The amount and variety of merchandise is EPIC. Instead of seeing always these long bohemian ( made in India ) type dresses being pushed on the public.... I saw lots & lots of quality options for shorter dresses and baby doll dresses which I think is a better fit for the demographic. This mall is epically different than any other mall I've experienced before ... even the store Windsor had some super cute quality options for once. It's def a shopping Mecca... and an experience. With so many malls dying lately, it's nice to see Brea Mall still thriving. This place has always been busy and seems more crowded than ever before. It's a nightmare shopping here during the Holiday season. You practically have to get here even before the mall opens to find parking. Came here with my family about 30 minutes prior to opening and the place already had quite a bit of people. Some malls don't even have this many people even when they're open. I mainly used to go to South Coast Plaza (SCP) but I've been coming here almost exclusively for past few months. It has good quality shops without being too overboard or pretentious. The area near Nordstrom side of the mall is still going through renovation but it's looking good so far. read more

It's been awhile since I came to the Brea Mall, but it very nice now. They have revamped by adding so many stores and eateries!! They have stores now outside and building more restaurants next to it. I like their many's, Nordstroms, and of course my fav store Alo. They have a very good food court and they have a chucks arcade that reminds you of chucks cheese with but arcade. Ahh, Brea Mall! I've been coming to this mall for decades! This huge mall has some awesome fountains, and they still have a good selection of shops! I particularly enjoy this Nordstrom location. Typical mall shops, and the customer service is spotty, depending on who you talk to. Great people watching! This clean and well maintained mall is still here, and I'm grateful! I had a bunch of items to return to Ann Taylor and Brea Mall had one of the few brick and mortar stores left in the area that I could physically return my items. I went early on Memorial Day and the mall and parking area were pretty mellow. This mall gave me 90's vibes with a lot of stores that don't exist in malls anymore. We went to Macy's, which still has the Men's/Home Dept store in a completely different area than the Macy's for woman, just like Del Amo Mall. The top level of the women's Macy's was oddly a floor of just discounted items. I found a few great deals for my kitchen. JC Penny and Nordstrom are also anchor stores at the mall. and you'll also see a Dick's Sporting Goods. By the time we left, the mall got busy and there was lots of kids playing at the Indoor playground near Macy's. As I was leaving Brea Mall, I spotted an El Torito Grill. I thought they had all gone out of business. I say come to Brea Mall for a bit of nostalgia and to find the brick and mortar stores that have left most malls. read more

Sadly to say that we don't have nice malls in our area, except Brea Mall is the closest. The Brea Mall is an enclosed shopping mall located in the Orange County of city of Brea, California. It's much smaller than The Shops at Santa Anita in Arcadia, but it is still a nice mall with a lot of great shops. It has major department stores like Macy's, JCPenney, and Nordstrom, as well as specialty retailers like Abercrombie & Fitch, American Eagle, Ann Taylor, Coach, Express, Hollister, Hot Topic, Lululemon, Michael Kors, Pacsun, Pottery Barn, Torrid, and Uniqlo. They also have the Apple Store and a Tesla store inside the Brea Mall. Other brands like Aerie, BoxLunch, FOSSIL, GUESS, Journeys, L'Occitane, Pandora, Steve Madden, Swarovski, and Windsor, etc. The Shibuyala store is coming soon. The mall also has some restaurants such as California Pizza Kitchen, Kura Revolving Sushi bar, Red Lobster, Red Robin, The Cheesecake Factory, BaFang Dumpling, Olive Garden, Blaza Pizza, etc. It will eventually have the Ding Tai Fung, Hey Tea, and Pacific Catch West Coast Fish House soon. We saw a new section today, and it's still under renovation. They called it "Multi-Million Makeover is Underway". They are going to build some luxury residential buildings and a new spacious outdoor plaza with new retail and dining options. It will be launching soon. It's always great coming to this mall. Obviously on certain days of the week tends to get busier but I usually avoid those days. Other than it's always been maintained clean and staff around have always always been friendly. Restrooms clean which is super important if you have little ones. The mall has always offered a great variety of stores, but over the past few months it's been under construction due to expansion and new additions. The newer section of the mall is extremely nice, featuring an outdoor faux grass area that's perfect for hanging out, along with new or updated stores like Pottery Barn, Philz Coffee, and Williams Sonoma. The newer areas feel modern and inviting, and it's exciting to see new dining options being built across the way as well. Wow! Anybody who knows me knows I do not go to the mall. But if my daughter needs a trip to the mall, well I'll do just about anything for her lol. I was pleasantly surprised at the major renovations that have been going on at the mall, It's getting a huge facelift and a lot of additions! And it was already starting to look a lot like Christmas. If you'd like to avoid the other larger malls with the longer lines and the pricier ZIP Code, I would suggest checking out the Brea Mall. Brea is a nice area. You would think their mall would be a little bit updated. Don't really like the carpet it makes the mall feel old and grungy .... Especially on busy holidays.! They have plenty of selections you can find everything there. They have amazing chocolate shops. Staff is friendly and helpful... Standard indoor mall with plenty of stores to shop, came by for a particular tea shops grand opening and the experience there was less than spectacular as well as food court options are limited to the standard mall selection. The fountain that the line was formed around was low key questionable in terms of how clean the water is and the fountain itself seemed like it was struggling to pump the water through. Bathroom facilities is another one where, it was mid, not unclean but also not amazing. Again water pressure from the sinks seem to be a struggle, and one of the paper towel dispensers wasn't even working, and the air from the hand dryer was so weak, I was starting to question what did work. Even the flush from the toilet took two flushes in order to do a full flush. Not to mention the horrendous smell in the bathroom which is just a matter of people's bodily functions I suppose. Mall itself was well light, had plenty of shops, but unfortunately since I spent 5+ hours in line for this one tea shop, I did not get to fully experience the rest of the shops. Price wise, things are probably just standard mall prices. Probably will only drop by again if there's something worth checking out. read more

Been coming here for such a long time. This mall has all the stores you need and a pretty decent food court, including the restaurants near the entrances. It's especially clean, and in the age when malls are dying, I noticed during a week day, that this one stays pretty busy. If there is a complaint; it gets jam packed during the holidays. read more

The mall has had a face lift judging from past (back in the day) visits. 4/5 Food Court Food court looks more appealing, better options for sure from Blaze to Boba. Lot of seating even high chairs available. Anyone remember Hot Dog on a stick? New additions to the malls options like Din Tai Fung, North Italia and Phillz Coffee are in the works. 5/5 Parking Parking is readily available on all sides of the mall. Covered parking lots are by Nordstrom and Macy's. 5/5 Shopping Lots of store options aside from those mentioned above. From your head to your feet there's a store for you. They are remodeling part of the mall with an outdoor area, looks nice on the renderings. There are also new stores coming soon such as Shibuyala, Dicks and The North Face. 3.5/5 Playground The kids play area is a bit worn down. You can see some of the padding is exposed. But the family bathrooms are right by the staircase by the play area. Whether you want a Lulu bag or some Jimmy Choo's from Nordstrom, visit Brea mall for your goodies from teenagers to seniors. Brea Mail is undergoing a transformation, adding more stores, restaurants and outdoor space. There're lots of people here in Saturday and parking near Nordstrom was very challenging because of the construction. It took almost 30 minutes just to find a parking spot. Highly recommended and can't wait to try new restaurants when they open. read more

It was nice to see that this was still a popular mall with lots of customers. A lot of malls have been pretty empty but not this one. I actually went to the mall on Black Friday. I can't even remember when I went inside a mall lol let alone on a Black Friday. However, I wanted to upgrade my phone and so I braved the wilderness. The parking lot was packed so I thought the mall would be super chaotic, but I was pleasantly surprised. There was plenty of room to walk around and move, an it wasn't overly crowded at all. The Apple Store process was very quick and seamless as well. I was able to get in and out in about 30 or so minutes. read more

I never wrote a review for the Brea mall? Oh boy I love the Brea Mall. It's close by, they have almost all the stores I like it's convenient. They have food and a food court. They have a candy store. What more would you like? Lol the parking can be a little insane but usually find a spot. It's packed all the time especially during the Holiday's. I have been to this mall since I was a teenager my sister and I use to come here and all the malls all the time lol. Remember being a teenager going to mall and spending hours? For me not anymore as a grown up no hahah but I do like this mall, love coming here sometimes just to move my legs a bit or just window shop or get what I need and leave. But I do love this mall a lot it's clean and sometimes a little stuffy but the food is good the stores are great definitely recommend this mall. Nordstrom, Lululemon, Sephora, Hollister's, Abercrombie & Fitch, Macy's, JC Penny, Express, JD, Hot Topic, Windsor, Auntie Anne's, Food Court etc. and a lots of other little shops. I finally came back here after more than 10+ years! Good old college day going shopping - I feel young again! :) My younger family members/relatives/friends can find their shoes and clothes here vs. South Coast so I was glad I came back to visit. They lived not too far away so this is their to-go shopping center. I am glad Brea Mall is still thriving compare to Westminster Mall. I visited on a Saturday and it was not as crowded. Perhaps, Black Friday/Christmas/New Year sales are cooling down. Restroom - I do not think that Brea Management will read this but maybe somehow someone will about their restroom. It smelled strong of urine and not very well kept. One positive was that the light flash Green (available)/Red (not available) status - pretty neat. Nordstrom - "Women's Lounge" on 2nd Floor - ladies - this means Restroom. : ) Language barrier for me here. I think of "Lounge" as VIP Airline Lounge to relax not restroom but now I learned. LOL. Parking - I came early at Open so there were plenty of parkings by Nordstrom Entrance. However, when I was leaving around noon, it was PACKED! read more

I feel a bit hoodwinked and bamboozled by the good people of TikTok on this one. I came to the Brea mall after seeing some folk post about their "upgrades". It's literally just one small area of the mall that's been revamped and the rest is old or under major construction. The angles people chose to record from were very selective lol anyway, I did appreciate some of the new stores here like the Zara and Pottery Barn. There's a good mix of higher end stores and value department stores too. They also seem to be making some upgrades to the food offerings here, including a brand new Chagee and a HEYTEA that will be opening soon. The mall is clean with plenty of parking available throughout. It offers a good selection of stores to explore and provides good service. It gets busy on weekends. No parking as they closed so much for construction. Circled the tower multiple times with no luck. Parked across the street only to find a sidewalk leading to a construction fence. Unsafe to walk the way they have it set up. Everyone driving around angry as they too are trying to find parking. I wanted to go to Cheesecake Factory but no parking. This is poor planning by the mall. Cannot believe pedestrians have not been hit. They made this new dramatic entrance but it is hidden by buildings and lack of parking restricts you from using it. I have always liked Brea mall. It is clean and the employees provide great service to everyone. The mall is a bit large so you can get lost but there is a good variety of stores to choose from-high end to more frugal choices. There is plenty of parking throughout the mall perimeter, in front of department stores, mall entrances and new larger restaurants. On weekends and holidays, this place gets really busy so be prepared to fight for parking and just wait in long lines in stores. They are always stocked fully so no need to panic.
