First time at this location, I'm not a huge fan of Burlington, but my husband was returning something and I tagged along. The store is pretty spacious inside, and was surprisingly quiet and empty. There was only one person at the registers, but as the line filled up they did end up calling for back up. Cashier who attended us was pleasant. What an awesome store they opened this up after they closed Baby's R Us here years ago :( after I had baby girl, was sad but then you go inside Burlington and you think ok they have some awesome things here. Some name brand, some brands I have never heard of. They sell clothes, shoes, things for both men and woman. Household things, treats and snacks, purses all sorts of things. I do enjoy coming here, it's next to Walmart so convenient to have everything close by. I should probably come here more often lol they have a lot of stuff I don't need LOL jk haha beautiful stuff here I recommend this location its clean, employees are friendly. I purchased bedsheets and when I got home, washed it so I can put than in the bed. During the process of pouring it on the bed, I noticed a couple of slits on the flat sheet. Obviously this is a manufacturers defect. I went back to return it within the week and they refused to accept the return because it has been washed even though it had not been used. They said it had to be in its original packaging (I had the packaging with me, just not neatly folded inside it so I can show them the slits in questions) so they can put it back on the shelf. Who in their right mind would put a defective product back on the shelf? I am so disappointed with their return policy. read more

This review is for the Asian manager who "helped" me. I purchased a sweater and when I brought it home, I noticed the security tag was still on it. I returned it WITH THE PRICE TAG ON IT and she was giving me a hard time. She REFUSED to look up my receipt on their system. She told me I had to show her proof of purchase. First of all, I had the STORE TAG ON IT and I'm not asking for money. I asked for her to take off the security tag so I can wash the sweater. Secondly, she's REFUSING to look up the receipt under my phone number which is supposed to be a benefit for signing up with them. Thirdly, she's saying the tag doesn't even match the merchandise. It's not my fault whichever EMPLOYEE attached the tag didn't put on the "correct" tag. If she's a manager, she NEEDS TO GET CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINING!!!! read more

I went into the Burlington Coat Factory 2101 Imperial HWY, Unit B, La Habra, CA on 11/10/2025 around 6pm. I was let in by the Security Guard at the front. I asked where the Section was that had bedding and mattress covers. He pointed me to the HOME section. I went to that section and looked at the items there. I was looking for Cotton Fabric pillows and Cotton fabric sheets...and they didn't really have a selection. It was mostly polyester/microplastic harboring bedding materials or Christmas themed Flannel...Not seeing what I was looking for I went back to the entrance of the store. The Security Guard who had let me in was at that time letting another lady into the store. I asked him if I could go out that way and he looked at me. From his behavior he physically said no and closed the Entrance sides Stanchion rope. He then walked over to the center of the Stanchion rope on the exit side. He then stood in front of me and did not open the Exit Stanchion rope for me to leave. He instead asked to see inside of my bag. Which is my purse. I said no that it is illegal in the state of CA and the US to ask to do that without a warrant or probable cause. And even then I asked him to please call a policeman to come to the scene because what this security guard had asked was for an illegal search. He said no to calling the policeman and continued to not open the Stanchion for me to leave. I did call the police after the incident she said that they are not legally allowed to hold me inside the store or touch me...In not opening the Stanchion for me to pass by, and standing directly in front of me I was blocked from leaving. Which is technically illegally holding someone against their will... Next I spoke with the Supervisor. As soon as the Supervisor walked over the Security Guard opened the Rope of the Stanchion. In speaking with this manager she disclosed it's Burlington Coat Factory's policies that say the security guard can do what he did. I asked her to provide me with the written policy where it says their Security guard can ask to see inside someone's bag. She said she couldn't. She proceeded to tell me that she had a long line of people to get back to. I said I didn't care about the long line. That I cared that they were doing something illegal in their store. And asked for her to call a policeman so that we could settle this and I could make my formal complaint against this store. She then went on to tell me that she couldn't do that that I would have to contact the police on my own and also corporate about my complaint. And that I could leave. I requested again for the policy to be handed to me where it says their Security Guard is allowed to ask to see inside of someone's bag. She then went straight to asking me if the Security guard had placed his hands on me or forcibly tried to see inside my bag. I responded no. And she said then you can go. I said that I wanted to see the policy again in fine print. She said I'd have to look it up on Burlington Coat Factory's website and that that Security Guard is new. "He's new unfortunately." And that I could go. I could tell the Supervisor was there to defend the company. I will just highlight one last time that in my refusal to show the security guard inside my bag he did not open the Exit Rope Stanchion to allow me passage out of the store. It took my request for the Supervisor and her showing up several minutes later for the Security Guard to open the Stanchion. And the Supervisor saying I could go after talking to me for several minutes. So, there's something about that action that does make me call out being bared from exiting the building after refusing to show the security guard the inside of my purse. Which is illegal to do Burlington Coat Factory. I know this because I did contact law enforcement after this event. And they let me know that a citizen is allowed to refuse showing the inside of their bag to a company and that they legally need to be allowed passage way out of that company's building. The Security Guard didn't open the Stanchion for me to leave the building after I expressed wanting to exit. He instead blocked my exit by physically standing in front of me and didn't open the Stanchion rope after I refused to show him the inside of my purse. Therefore I was illegally blocked for several minutes from exiting Burlington Coat Factory. Putting this here because this business\location isn't registered on the BBB website. read more

I was in the area and I needed some Socks and other small things. First time at this location. Very clean and the staff is professional. Prices are good. This location is better than others. It's big and they have a big inventory. No complaints here. I'll come back if I'm in the area. Thought I'd share a good review. Hope it helps. Keep up the good work guys. read more

worse customer service. the associate was really rude . my wife got a gift as secret santa. She didn't have a receipt . one associate they sold it there and my wife can't use it because of allergies . they accused my wife and me stealing it . . so they wouldn't do the return and we didn't want money back or anything . we came in with our 2 year old!!! really!!! we go look at some clothes there was the same rude associate watching us while we were looking for snow pants for my daughter . i will be contacting corporate this ridiculous . i will not be returning this location ever again!!! read more

I used to be their number one customer, however now they don't have public bathrooms!!! that is cruel and inhumane for older people, moms with children and people that have bathroom emergency which happened to me. It took three associates to complete my return order and they told me that I could not return the item without the receipt although the item was still intact and I had just bought it the week before. I purchased 2 men's long sleeve collar shirts. The problem was with American Stitch, a multi colored shirt which has red as one of the colors. i washed it with a Levi shirt with blue and white stripes. The Levi shirt was ruined as the red die from the American Stitch bled on to the Levi shirt. I tried 3 cleaning methods including OxiClean but the stain was permanent. I looked at the American Stitch care label and it said DRY CLEAN ONLY! I find that totally wrong!! I am donating the American Stitch shirt as I will not stand for a casual shirt that requires dry clean. I have to throw away the Levi shirt as it is ruined. I thus have lost $37.69. This has NEVER HAPPENED to me in any other store! It is my opinion that this American Stitch product should have not been placed on their racks for sale. Putting this episode aside, I do think this store holds value for some people. My negative review is for this one catastrophic incident. read more

I don't enjoy writing reviews specially when they don't rate high however, iam considering that we are not a COVID-19 free yet! It is about the fitting rooms having a foul body odor. I was going to try 5 items that I really liked and needed but, immediately changed my mind when I proceeded to enter the fitting room area .. I couldn't breath the smell, and I had to leave . I looked for some type of disinfectant spray and there was nothing not even wipes. I do understand that may be the store does not have enough help ???? If that is the case .. please don't let customers use the fitting rooms . The store has good prices and I appreciate that . The rest of the store is apparently clean .. not the fitting rooms . Great inventory and deals to be found, however I waited 33 MINUTES in line to pay on a MONDAY NIGHT. Two employees were working the registers and somehow managed to take 33 minutes to ring up the customers in front of me's items. They were laughing and telling stories back and forth with the customers. I'm all for building a connection like that- it's great customer service until it turns into 33 minutes. It took about a minute for them to simply scan one item and people were leaving the line and walking out of the store while leaving full carts behind. When one of the employees finally finished ringing up a customer, she walked away from the register and began making small talk with another employee. Was followed around the entire store by an employee by the name of Anthony. I walked in to use the restroom, doing my business, he comes barging in accusing me of having items in my possession. I of course had nothing to hide and showed him I had nothing with me. All of this took place in the FREAKING BATHROOM. I was absolutely disgusted. The manager Jonathan was professional when I spoke to him about the embarrassing situation. But the damage is done. Never in my life have I been treated like this at a place of business. I was shopping today and had a horrible experience when leaving the store.. I had several items I had purchased in the basket so it was fairly full and I had a 1 year old in the cart seat,, As I left and pushed the cart to go out of the store it suddenly locked up on me, as I pushed to move it I hurt my back. I called for a store manager and she approached in a very rude manner and said you can't take the cart outside.
