Urban Outfitters is one of my favorite stores in the Brea Mall. This location is not as large as other UOs, but its facilities are well-organized. I like that they have different kinds of merchandise besides clothing & apparel; they also have accessories, home goods, beauty products, and vintage items, etc. Other Urban Outfitters locations may have more selections, and the merchandise may not be out of stock as often. Their prices are not cheap because they focus on a premium pricing model, but some of their designs are unique and attractive. read more

Grossly overpriced clothing *yawn*, typical of this store chain and company. I never find anything in their poorly curated clearance section. 2 stars for this recent visit and just in general because my friend found a good quality black adidas hoodie for an additional discounted price. Also, overall 2 stars for Urban because I've bought clothing from their online website in the past and they've all gotten torn or holes in them even despite washing them carefully. Just poor quality merchandise at an inflated price, especially their own brand-made clothing, a big nope. Buyer beware. read more

I came for a baggu release day the day of, and they were sold out in two hours! I was told they weren't stocked of one item also, when online it was listed as available in store. Seems like their website and in- store don't match at all. Additionally, they never have anything good in their clearance section. A lot of the tank tops and dress with thin straps are stretched out from their hangers. their materials are seem thin. read more

I use to come here quite a bit. My last visit was mid December. The customer service lady wasn't very helpful during the experience. I attempted to get something and needed help, and they were not helpful at all. The selection was somewhat limited. The prices are a bit high, maybe its the area, not sure. This location isn't the largest Urban Outfitters I've been before, but they typically have good customers service and they are very good at keeping their store organized. This is definitely a really convenient location and there's ample parking as well. Always a fan of UO! Sometimes I come here to order stuff online in store because shipping is free. read more

Update: UO has the worst hold system. Just pay $7.95 for shipping don't have them send it to a store. This review may change- but to whoever cancelled my order after UO made me wait 3 weeks to have all the items delivered, to be notified about it this morning only to be notified it was cancelled!? If I show up tomorrow and it's there, this review may change- but it seems pretty suspicious the chain of events. Looked alllll over for this giant cat head that was on sale. I called multiple stores and none of them had it. Luckily called this location and found one. Brian helped me over the phone. For the most part they only put things on hold for two days. But he talked to his manager about holding it a couple more days until I could pick them up. Amazing service here! I just stopped by about an hour after opening and knew what I wanted to purchase before heading there. I went straight to the checkout counter to ask if they had the product and the staff directed me to an area where I could find it. I noticed that it wasn't exactly what I had saved to my wishlist on my phone, so I went back and asked them if they had any in stock (since the app said it was available for in-store pickup) and the guy went to check the back for me while one of the girls checked what was out on the store floor. I wish I had gotten their names for this review because they were extremely helpful and kind. If you're a UO rewards member, they even remind you about scanning the QR code so you can get your points!! I would definitely recommend stopping by this location! read more

The manager at this store with bleach hair he's around 5'6 is beyond rude. ( can't remember his name) He was super unhelpful and when he was checking me out at the register he was too busy socializing with all the employees on the fitting room They left the registers empty. He then proceeded to mimick me with a little girl voice when he didn't take my return out of spite. ( items that where not worn and I had a receipt for) which every single urban I've been too ( Costa Mesa, Newport, Irvine, and LA locations) have never had a problem before. I don't know who made this person the manager of this store but he cares more about socializing and shit talking costumers while acting like a child. On top of everything he laughed as I walked away from the register ? I spent hundreds of dollars every year at urban and I'll be shopping at stores with excellent service which there are plenty of ! The best use for this Urban Outfitters is to just kill time. Everyone knows that your time is valuable. So I won't get offended if you feel that I actually wasted your time by you visiting here. What I meant was that if you're stuck at the Brea Mall and you have a few minutes to spare, then head on over. As for the store itself, it's really small compared to the other locations. The workers here are just as lousy. No greeting, no goodbye - how about simply no customer service period. I mean they got a lot of cool stuff and their clothes are alright. It's perfect for the everyday hipster that loves anything vintage. But, if you're a grown ass man like I am, you'd probably feel better with higher quality. Unless, maturity isn't one of your strong points. The accessories, mainly the books and records, is what I check out. As weird as it seems, classic rock bands such as the Beatles sound a hella lot better on vinyl than the usual compact disc. That's because a vinyl record has carved grooves that mirrors the original sound's waveform. This means no sound is lost because its recorded in analog. URBAN OUTFITTERS, INC. The chain is present in US, Canada, and parts of Europe - often described as being stylish, kitschy, and sometimes bizarre. I've seen quite a few things in the store that's made my head turn twice. They also sell a lot of in-house brands, catering a different kind of shopping experience to the 30 and under club. So, this isn't my favorite Urban Outfitters I've ever been to, but it does it's job. The front left of the store is women's. The front right of the store is books, toys, records, and other novelties. The back right is men's. The back left is a room for all the sale items. There was a long line, and I didn't want it to get any longer... So, I quickly browsed the store. I found an awesome, bright coral colored purse that will look great against my tanned skin in a week or two. Lol. It was on sale! Score! So, I ended up paying $12 something for it. I have always loved Urban Outfitters, I used to go to the one in Santa Monica 3rd street promenade so often when I was younger, since it was the only location of this store. I am glad they have so many stores everywhere nowadays, it's just totally my style, which is urban chic! I have many favorite brands here, Kimchi Blue, Staring at stars, Evil twin, Silence, BDG, Sparkle and Fade, Lucca Couture, Pins and Needles....and many more. They are great casual styles that are so easy to go with accessories, super cute and feminine! They have a vintage collection, clothes from 20's to early 90's! They are super cute! I have always loved the dresses in 20's, but hubby thinks it's creepy to wear them. And they have expensive designer dresses up to $300 or so, they are pretty unique, some are really cute. Sometimes I come here to do return or exchange of the stuffs I got at their website, cause this one is the closest store for me. The sales man was very friendly and helpful with my return and exchange last time. I bought a lot of things online and some of them didn't fit, sometimes even the smallest sizes are too big on me, well, it just happens....so it was a lot of work to do exchange and return, he had to pick the product numbers on my receipt, and type in one by one, I kinda felt bad for him, but it was his job anyways. I was very satisfied with his service, great job! This store is probably the smallest among all Urban Outfitters, but it's a convenient location for me to do return or exchange of my online purchase, so it's very good for me! You might not want to get things at full prices at Urban Outfitter stores, of course unless you really really love that particular piece, they have ridiculously good sale going on all the time, shop online is much more easier and more sizes available. Sometimes the qualities of the clothes are not that good considering the prices are not cheap, it's not worth it to get them at full prices, just wait until they are on sale, they have large quantities of everything, you can pretty much always find your sizes! LONG-NEEDLE STICKING OUT ALERT! My sister got needled in the hand while checking this clothing. I told a staff; and she explained someone pulled out the sleeve from the side. Then she just pined it right back and continue talking with another staff. I heard nothing from her explanation except blaming on others' fault. Yay! An Urban Outfitters finally opened in the area. I believe it officially opened on 11/23/10 and it's located where J. Crew used to be on the upper floor, Nordstrom wing. It's pretty big actually... looks like it took up another section besides the previous J. Crew section, but it doesn't seem to be as stocked as the usual Urban Outfitters stores. I didn't really see as much items as I see at the other locations. Stuff here is still overpriced for the quality of certain items, but still a fun store to browse through. read more

I'm not much of a mall go-er and I find it a little odd they opened up an UO in the Brea Mall but then again, Brea Mall has been leasing some decent stores lately. They opened upstairs, where J. Crew used to be located. I'm an eclectic kind of gal and this store fits my taste well. Their Urban Renewal line is wonderful, unique vintage pieces recycled. That and a lot of the jewelry and accessories catch my wandering eye. AND did I mention their sale section?! AMAAAAZING DEALS! Love this UO. I don't particularly like to spend a crap ton of time in a store roaming around, BUT this store I can spend hrs in. They have so many cutie items from shoes to clothes to some of the most bomb smelling fragrances eva. The staff is super friendly which is so refreshing these days especially in retail. I worked in retail once during college and honestly hated tf out of it so kudos to them for dealing with me. Hey Urban Outfitters, Do you really feel it's appropriate to let your cashiers wear shirts that say "Fuck the President"? I was shopping with my daughter tonight and when we paid, the girls shirt said exactly that. Aside from the fact that it's going to offend a lot of people for its political statement , it's extremely inappropriate considering the store had quite a few tweenagers shopping with their parents. I browsed in this store a couple of times since they recently opened, they have a wide selection of casual hipster "mega American dream super white teenager" type of clothing here. The kids that work here aren't very customer oriented and 80% of the time are hanging out talking to each other, even when my friend and I approach them sometimes they don't stop talking unless you interrupt them. I bought a yellow cardigan sweater, it looked great on me when I tried it on, but it felt incredibly flimsy, but the shade of yellow/saffron was so unique and it had some nice antique buttons that I paid the $45 price for it. Barely a week later, there's already a hole in the armpit from minimal wear. They have other little knick knacks like books, vinyls, and accessories, but they don't have anything that really makes them stand out and unique. For the quality of their clothing you may as well go to H&M, same types of material and fabric for much less. read more

I came in here just to browse for Christmas gifts, and heard they were taking 50% off all sale items if we had the Urban On app. So, I tried downloading it while in the store, and long story short, my battery was at 6% before it was even halfway done uploading! The staff was very understanding of the situation and allowed me to sign up on their store iphone, and I ended up getting the deal! In general, I like Urban Outfitters a lot because of all the cutesy stuff they have sometimes, but as for this store.. the service is lacking to the point where their nice merchandise doesn't even matter very much to me anymore -__- I spent around 10~15 minutes (haha) in one of their unusually large fitting rooms (really now.. this place is like 2/3 store, 1/3 fitting room..) when one of the workers knocked on my door and asked why I was taking so long....... -__- who asks that... I wouldn't say I'm the hugest UO fan, let alone a fan in general, but some of the clothes are pretty cute and accessories can be a good find once in a while. However, most of the apparel, shoes, etc. can be found for cheaper at such stores as Wasteland, Goodwill, and even Ebay or Etsy. So why am I taking the time to review an establishment I don't really have a huge interest in? Well, one reason is in the hopes that someone will read my (and everyone else's) review before venturing out to this location in particular. Located on the secondy floor of Brea Mall, this UO is relateively small compared to other UO in the surrounding area (The Lab, Santa Monica, Old Town Pasadena). They still do have your womens, mens, accessories, and sales items placed throughout the store, but IMO I think all areas kind of lack what other UO offer. The mens, sales, and shoes selection is very minimal. It seems as if a lot of the same items are just kind of scattered here and there. The womens selection isn't much better. The layout is odd to say the least. Majority of the store space seems to be occupied by the changing room area, cashiers desk, and little islands with gizmos and gadgets galore (now I want to watch the Little Mermaid). Now if it weren't for the employees this review would have easily gotten 0 stars (if possible). The employees, every one I've encountered at least, have been super nice and helpful in every and any way possible. UO, you're employees saved you this time. All in all, personally I'd recommend staying away, but if you absolutely can't and don't want to waste gas driving to another location (I don't blame you. Reasons why: - This store is too small - Selections on men's clothing here very minimum, a small section of mens wear at the rear, but inside looking it appears to be a decent selection of women's. - where is the staff? I walked in here I didn't notice anyone working in here. Overall: A mini-me version of Urban O. I couldn't find anything to buy in here , not even a cool hooded sweater during this winter season. But hey they have a Sega Game system with 80+ games in one for $70 bucks! at the novelty section. This place is clean but really falls short on complete experience. Where I've experienced better: Urban Outfitters at Gas-lamp San Diego has a complete selection for the ladies and especially for the guys, just checkout their lower floor there and part of their upper floor. First let me say this.. Urban Outfitters is expensive. EVERYONE KNOWS UO is expensive. This should not be new news, and no one should be surprised. If you are, well you've been living under a rock. Good news is, if you know how to shop, you can get some really NICE deals at UO! Now... onto the store I was excited to find out that a new location opened up closer to where I live. Up until now I had only been shopping online, and had been to the closest (Pasadena) shop twice. The Pasadena store is not one I enjoy walking into. Their new products always looked dirty/damaged and the sale section is a HUGE MESS. After the Pasadena nightmare, I was a little scared as to how the Brea location would be. Oh my goodness, let me say right now it looked B-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l. The books were neatly stacked, in perfect shape, and no dirt marks! The products all in their respective places, and everything was easy to find. BUT THEN! I walk into the Sale section of the store. My jaw dropped. All the clothes were hung in their place. No clothing on the floor. Little knick knacks were tucked away in nice boxes to look through. It was Perfect. and to top it off? The cashiers were really nice! Now I know many people have problems with this portion of the store experience, so maybe we were lucky. But either way, both Cashiers were very curtious, smiled, and made nice conversation during our transactions. All I could say was "Wow" read more

So this is my favorite Urban Outfitters, the staff is amazing and the store is well organized and clean! So I'm writing this review I got to see how nice the staff, I bought a ceramic ashtray from them. I unfortunately broke it while I was still at the mall. I was slightly sad and embarrassed that I just broke something I literally just bought. So I went back to the store and I explained to them what happened and I asked if I could purchase another one because it was my fault I broke the first ashtray. The staff member I was speaking grabbed another ashtray for me and we met at the counter. I asked her if this where I can pay.
