Clothes are cute and prices are reasonable. The store is a good size and there is plenty of clothing racks to look through. The feel of the store is like Forever 21 before they polished their looked. The quality of the clothes seem questionable but only washing it will tell. My visit was pretty early in the morning so I had the store to myself. I consider myself a real fashionista, I shop at Rue21 quiet frequently. Their clothes are super cute really hipster prices are reasonable. Several years ago I was reluctant to shop at Rue21 since I am a woman of a particular age #60ish like they say 60 is the new 40. Since I have discovered Rue21 I am all in, the store is spacious well organized and clean. This store has women's, men's clothing, shoes, sleepwear, lingerie, and accessories that are reasonably priced. The clearance is where I get fabulous find that are a great price. I used to love coming here. I started going to this location because the one in Lakewood mall closed down permanently. This store has great deals. However I had a bad experience with Janelle there. Not once but twice. The first time she didn't know how to do a return she was trying to give me $12 for some jeans that I paid $30 for. Until her manger told her it's an even exchange. The send time she also did the same thing. She only gave me back $13 and made me pay $17 on top of returning the jeans. It seems like she still hasn't learned how to do exchanges. I went again and did another exchange this time with a guy working there I dont have his name but he was very friendly. However because of of those 2 bad experiences with janelle I will not be returning to that store. I would rather online shop with rue 21 than deal with that. Rue 21 has become one of my favorite stores since they put one in the Carson mall. I love going in and shopping their accessories section. They are always having a great deal or sale going on. I love the different designed wallets they always seem to have. The Carson location has a great staff that are always nice & helpful. Only negative is they don't sell rue+ in store but I love online shopping too read more

I love the pants that are boot cut or straight cut. It definitely has enough room for me. I am short and husky. My butt is the main feature that makes searching for jeans a challenge. I like rue 21 because it supports plus size female leg and booty features. Whatever you do, do not go to TORRID looking for any type of sale. $90 or more for a pair of thick legged jeans, I don't think so.... Only go unless you are willing to pay top dollar for a pair of jeans that are hot in name brand, but nothing else what so ever.... read more

Be very careful when shopping at this location. I shopped there I paid for a pair of pants that they never put in my bag I spent $200 there getting clothes for my daughter last Saturday. And plain and simple they said forgot m without the pants we can't refund you. If I had the pants idiot I wouldn't be asking for a refund. Managers are horrible and forget the assistant managers they are even worse. I recommend if you shop at Rue 21 go to another location not the one at Carson mall. Horrible horrible customer service. This store is awesome considering that I work here. No seriously it's a super cute store with a super good clothing and accessories selection. We carry both guy and girl product so we got something for everyone. The mall has recently made a few renovations and it definitely has helped to drive the business here and the swarmed to what rue21 is. The freedom to be you is rue we have 3 different profile shoppers for both the girls and guys so you're bound to find something you would like in this store. read more

I was there Sunday,Sep.30th . Ever since we walked in the store , I was really excited to see just what I was looking for but the cashier was really rude . Kept telling us to hurry that they were closing soon and it was like 6:20 . There were still about 10 -15 customers there .We respected that and hurried as fast as we could . But while we were picking out a few outfits this Asian lady kept coming towards us telling us to hurry as if she forgot that she told us one minute ago! She had a terrible attitude ! I used to be a cashier and I was glad to make as many sales as possible ! I don't know what's wrong with this girl ! It wasn't even 7pm and she wasn't letting people in anymore . Anyways maybe she was tired but I was in line with the rest of the customers waiting to check out. I waited about 10 min . When it was my turn , she sent the person behind me to another register and said " I'm going to take them first because they have less things" she didn't even ask me if that was okay ! I was waiting too and with my 3 kids making me struggle. But with stupid bossy attitude, she just decides who goes first . What was the point of rushing me if you're going to skip me ? I am more than upset with my online purchase. I ordered 5 items, and only received three, but two of them were originally what I had Chosen, and then a completely different chair of leggings and a different sized entirely of what I ordered an any of the other leggings that were cancelled. I was also charged amount into my account send what the invoice for the items I received. I am astounded. I tried to talk to multiple customer service representative and a supervisor about how my experience went, and I was basically just told to return any items I didn't want and sorry for the bad experience. I get that there is human error, but in no way shape or form am I ever going to be shopping at rue21 online or in-store again. I wish that this was a different experience as I had shocked at rue21 since I was in my teens, now in at old and also had family members order and their orders were completely fine and shipped and came early. My order was delivered two weeks from my original ship projected date. I'm just honestly really shocked. I did not expect this, and I will not be shopping there again. read more

I would've gave 5 stars only because we had a cashier that had orange/red hair that was rude to us last night it was almost closing time and we bought underwear that where the 5 for 7.50 I believe. And when she rung them up some where saying a different price so we asked her about it and she gave us short responses and we didn't want them if they where the different price it just took us a while to pick which ones we want and sizes also. So we asked to take them out of the purchase and we still saw them on the screen so my mom asked to make sure and she gave us an attitude. Finally we where done and we said thank you and all she did was turned around and ignored us. last time I was at a rue21 was years ago in Manteca and Modesto Ca since I came to Carson Pavilion Mall I went in I didn't get greeted and when I needed help seemed that all the staff were having a meeting by the register I could of left with more items but only left with a couple camis and a lip gloss, I remember this brand use to be more personalized visits when I was visiting the Central Valley. read more
