Mark responded to my yelp request late on Wednesday night. He offered a lot of information to help trouble shoot my issue. When I called him on the phone at 9:30pm to follow up, he spoke to me for a good 40 mins giving me transparent honest ways to help triage my problem helping me to save as much money as I can without doing anything extra unnecessarily. And he did so without any expectation of getting the repair or job. I am completely grateful for his insightful experience. Met Mike at my house. Pretended to be caring and he even forced me to follow him to whole Saler of Kitchen cabinets and countertop. Drove around entire town for over 45 minutes following him in freeways and almost got in car accident. Make the story short this guy either was extremely desperate or had major interest in Cabinets and making lots of commission. Anyhow first he provided and estimate for kitchen cabinets installation and countertop installation vis yelp. When I asked him to provide a formal estimate, he jacked up the prices by 25%. Overall, Mike came across unprofessional and it was totally waste of time dealing with him. By the way for the first meeting in my house, he dragged it for 2 full days and was Changning the time of arrival every time, not a dependable contractor at all. I will not deal with this type of people who do not commit to customer needs and try to provide a comparative pricing. read more

This was my first big project for my current home during a pretty busy time of life for me, and Mark and his team left me with the same amount of white hairs I started with. After a few quotes, I instantly felt comfortable with his knowledge and responsiveness. It took little effort to get a date booked, quote finalised, and it was pretty pain free to select the finishes. (Though my only goal was to finish the project with what was quoted with, so he respected that and showed me only the things that would not be upgrades). Honestly the only thing that was difficult was probably the items I had to order on my own that were not included in my quote. As with any projects there were delays, BUT the delays were minimal 1-2 days at the most between stages. My budget was basic. Definitely one of those people looking for the best deal but without sacrificing the questionable qualities. But doing the full kitchen remodel at my level, I never felt like I was not important. The small flaws I noticed, he made sure they were fixed. I would highly recommend. Keep In mind, contractors are busy.. projects get delayed...there are issues that may or may not be able to be fixed within your initial expectations or quote. This was for a bathroom remodel. The previous owner had this house as a flipping project before selling it to us in 2008. Over time the flaws from this previous owner's work became more apparent; from ceiling paint cracking, to chunks of drywall chipping off, to the low-quality linoleum floor peeling away at the edges. This poor beaten-up bathroom was aching for a facelift. We reached out to Orange Kitchen & Bath via Yelp and Mark immediately responded back and visited the scene to take measurements. A few days later he came back with an estimate that we felt was very reasonable, with a completion date 2 weeks sooner than the other competing contractors estimated. In addition to the remodeling of the bathroom they were able to extend the bathroom approximately 2 feet inwards. This helped us with being able to have a larger shower installed along with a 36" vanity which provided us with decent counter space. I have to admit that with this being my first time getting major remodeling work done that I was a little nervous seeing workers totally demolish and practically strip everything down to the bone those first couple days. But as the project progressed & as the new bathroom was taking shape I'll felt more at-ease knowing that these guys were professional, precise, and know what they were doing. I gotta give credit to the crew who absolutely worked their butts off for hours-on-end and on some weekend days to get this job done; Shoutout to Julio, Freddy, the hot-mop guy, the tile installers, the shower-door installer, and a few others whose name I either didn't catch or remember. This crew is top-notch and gets a slow-clap standing ovation from me! At the end the final bill matched Mark's original estimate and the whole project cost landed well within our budget. It was completed in a timely manner with no major delays or surprises. The only downside to this is now that the bathroom is fresh & sparkling new it makes the rest of the house pale by comparison. So now we have to start saving up cash for our next project which will very likely be the kitchen. This is a long overdue review (sorry Mark)! Mark and his crew helped us update our kitchen in November right before Thanksgiving. We wanted to get rid of the old cabinets and sink - everything was original so they were old and very very outdated. No major redesigning or demolition of any walls. Mark was extremely professional and responsive. The whole process communicating with him was very smooth. Regardless how busy he was, Mark always got back to us in a timely manner. Mark is amazing what he does. All the while he is courteous, professional, and an excellent communicator. He has an eye for design and can help guide you when your stuck. He has a team that responds quickly. They work hard to get you to your goal without taking months on end. He's also very creative in helping you stay within your budget. Our first time using Mark, we renovated our 1050 sqft condo (2bed/1bath). We remodeled our kitchen and bath. This project took 1.5 weeks. We gutted the kitchen and installed new cabinets with some features: lazy susan's, pull out spice rack and pull out cabinet drawers. We removed a tall and awkward pantry and replaced it with a upper half cabinet, microwave open shelf cabinet, quartz counter top to match the rest of the kitchen, bottom cabinets and outlets to boot. This became our coffee station. The main counter space had a 2 tier peninsula. Since space and storage is so precious in that space we flattened the counter to a 42" peninsula and added 12" cabinets facing out with the dishwasher and spice rack facing towards the kitchen. It was a hectic 3 weeks. But we can't complain how quick it went by especially for being on the 3rd floor with no workspace other than our living room and tiny balcony. The workers were maticulous about covering all of our belongings and taking care not to damage anything. For the bath we had picked out tile from Home Depot and lined the shower/bath and floor, new cabinets, sink, toilet and gray quartz counters. The renovation gave our place the facelift it needed to get out of the 80's. The second and most recent time we used Mark is on our newly purchased single family home, 1400 sqft (3bed/2bath). For this job we gutted the entire kitchen, introduce an open concept by installing a 8.5ft 42" deep island w/sink, to achieve this we had to remove the fireplace completely, new counters and tile backsplash, added a pantry, relocated the hot water heater outside, built a bay for stacking front loading washer/dryer, removed all carpeting (including in the bathroom... ick), installed laminate flooring through out the house, tile in the bathrooms, removed popcorn ceiling, updated the master bath with shower kit, new cabinets, quartz countertop, toilet and sink. There were a lot of surprises behind the walls we knocked down. But again, Mark was compassionate about our woes and helped to create some creative solutions. Considering the house was built in 1954, cosmetically updated in the last 10 years, we had to expect some surprises; brick fireplace all the way up to the roof, replace a load bearing beams, pipe running through a T-wall in the bathroom. Mark communicated with us every step of the way and also provided guidance, suggestions as well as recommendations. He's never pushy and always makes sure the decisions you make you are happy with. This project did go over its estimated deadline, but not by much. Again there were many surprises that needed to be address and Mark was quick to respond. If he says he'll figure it out. He'll figure it out. We love our new home! Thanks to Mark and his team for taking our vision and making it a reality. We loved our experience with Mark and his team. They redid our countertops in 3 bathrooms and our kitchen and we are pleased with the end result. Mark is very friendly and professional, and when there was a ding in our backsplash he came over to fix it himself and made sure it was to our satisfaction before sending the final invoice. The demo crew did a very thorough job of putting down paper to protect our floors, and the install crew went above and beyond and helped us out with a mirror that had fallen off the wall. Mark worked with me on the initial price to find a solution that met our budget and accepts payment via Venmo which is super convenient. I am an architect, so I have a discerning eye for craftsmanship and I will say they did a great job. Mark and his team were a pleasure to work with. We were introduced to Mark when our kitchen remodel went sideways. The contractor we originally used cut the slabs incorrectly. We were mortified with the results. The stones we originally purchased were bookend slabs and the veins should of matched up. Instead we were left with thick veins lining up to an all white area. What made it even worse was that there were no more bookend pieces available. We were afraid that the 12' island, the focal point of the kitchen was screwed up. Mark's team was miraculously able to work with 2 slabs that were not bookend and make them match up. They worked countless hours moving the slabs around for the perfect vein alignment. The end result is Pinterest or Home magazine worthy We couldn't be happier with the outcome. Please take a look at the pictures. The original contractor told us the veins could never be matched up but Orange Kitchen and Bath was able to make it happen. All along the process, Mark was easy to get in contact with and communication was excellent. He delivered on his promises with the upmost professionalism and his pricing was reasonable. I rarely write reviews, in fact, this is my first one on Yelp. I got several estimates and Mark gave me the best estimate. I hired him and he was able to fit me into his busy schedule. My kitchen and bath floor tile installation project was done in a matter of days. The project was completed well before the deadline of my new renters moving into the home. During the course of the project I had made little changes here and there and Mark was able to accommodate without any problem. He and his team provided excellent customer service, something that I don't see too often nowadays. He accommodated me on my project until I was completely satisfied. Mark treated me as if I was his most important customer. I can tell that Chen has many years of experience as a floor installer, as I consider myself a handyman as I have done floor tiles and I know what to look for in a job, and he did a beautiful job demoing the old and laying the new tiles, adjusting door heights to fit, providing thresholds where needed, and ensured that the wood sub-floor where the tiles were laid were solid and without a creak. I am currently living in Oregon and have a condo in Anaheim that needs kitchen and bathroom renovations before putting it in the market for sale. My work schedule doesn't allow me to fly down to Anaheim often to arrange the remodeling. Mark provides me great services remotely and took care of the remodeling in less than 2 weeks time without me needing to fly down. Mark not only did a great job completing the remodel before schedule but also helped me test out and fix lighting and other house issues.
