Finding a good contractor can be tough, but Gomez Construction proved to be fantastic. Right from the start, Isaias was great to work with and was super patient when we wrote up a detailed contract together. While Isaias only checked in a couple of times, his younger brother was on site daily leading the crew and made sure everything was done exactly how I wanted it. They were always on time (8:00 AM every single day) and cleaned up nicely afterward. What impressed me most was how they handled a few small issues during the job; the moment I brought something up, they fixed it right away without any pushback or arguing. You can tell they just want the customer to be happy. I'm really pleased with how everything turned out and will definitely be hiring them again! I'm sharing some before and after photos here for your reference so you can see the quality for yourself! read more

When Isaias saw my initial review he reached out as he wanted to fix the work and ensure it met my expectations. They came back twice until the drywall and paint blended into the existing ceiling. What struck me was that some contractors would have just taken the initial review and moved on, but Mr Gomez Construction obviously cares about their customers and reputation and wants to make it right. read more

Mr. Gomez did reach out to me and agreed to try and fix the wall texture. It looks better than it did, but still not good. Would it look okay had it been textured correctly from the start, probably. I do appreciate that he did his best to remedy things, but I can't recommend for painting. read more

We honestly couldn't be happier with Mr. Gomez Construction and are genuinely grateful to him and his whole team for everything they did for our home. We originally called them during a pretty stressful situation after discovering water under the flooring in our house!! What started as remediation and flooring work eventually turned into a full remodel of our guest bathroom, and Mr. Gomez was there with us through the entire process. Responsive and detailed. From the beginning, Gomez was kind, hardworking, patient, and incredibly easy to work with. I'm someone who pays attention to the little details and asks a lot of questions, and he always took the time to listen, explain things, and work with us when we wanted to make changes along the way. His pricing is very fair And we'd know since my wife and I have been through 3+ remodels in the past. His team handled everything from remediation, flooring and drywall to plumbing, electrical, waterproofing, tile, and the finishing details. Watching the bathroom come together was honestly exciting, and the finished space is beautiful. It feels like a completely different room. What I'll remember most, though, is how much we trusted Gomez in our home. He takes pride in his work, cares about making his customers happy, and treated our home with respect. After spending so much time together during the project, we were actually a little sad when the work was finished! And we had some fun too lol. We would happily call him again for another project and already recommend Mr. Gomez Construction to our friends and neighbors. Thank you, Mr Gomez and team, for taking such great care of our home! read more

Reached out to frame and drywall a "basement" room, got a quote, Isaias met with us twice, and started the following week. Great group of guys from framing, to drywall, the electrician, to flooring, painting and trim work, we had a great experience with a great price. So happy to have that room finished, and will be calling Mr Gomez for my next project. read more

Shoutout to Isaias for personally visiting the project on the daily to get the baseboards, drywall and painting done. Repair of drywall. Good quality work and good workmanship. Overall happy with the fix.

We found Mr Gomez on Yelp. He immediately responded to my project request. We needed a small dent in the wall repaired, painted and textured to match the rest of the wall. Plus, a chip on the corner where the paint came off. After confirming a date, someone from his company showed up. He was thorough in his prep work laying sheets on the floor. The whole process took two hours. He did a great job! You can't even tell where the hole was or where the corner paint was chipped off! Definitely worth the price we paid to do a wonder job! I compared the prices with other services nearby and they gave us the best cost. Plus, the paint container to keep. I would recommend their services wholeheartedly! read more

I had a leak from an upstairs bathroom that required opening both the interior ceiling and an exterior wall. After repairing the pipe, I contacted three contractors. Mr. Gomez was competitive with his pricing, especially compared to one quote that was completely unreasonable. He responded immediately and sent his team the same day. They repaired the drywall, matched the texture perfectly inside and the outside stucco. They finished everything by the end of the day. I have to say their work was flawless. I highly recommend Mr. Gomez, they are professional, efficient, and provide excellent service and quality. Tim Fate read more

Showed up on time. Did a great job. Finished in one day. Price was very competitive.

Isaiah from Mr Gomez and his team were great. They were responsive during the quoting process and was able to accommodate tasks that were not on the original scope. On the day of, they came on time, covered everything in plastic so nothing would get dirty and remained professional throughout the process. Quality was great, we had them do our drywall and it was much better than the previous company we hired. Texture was spot on and level with the rest of the wall. Price/cost was the best out of the 5 that I had gotten. Will definitely use again in the next few months on my next project. read more

I'm absolutely delighted with the work Mr. Gomez Construction did. Isaias helped me remove a damaged chimney and properly close up the wall, all under a city permit. The inspector never had any notes, as the work was always done correctly. He also painted the exterior of my house, and I'm very happy with the results. Isaias is prompt, responsive, and communicative, which is something I truly appreciated after dealing with past contractors who were difficult to reach. I look forward to working with him again on future projects. read more

We tried to remove our glued down hardwood floors, but it ended up being too difficult with the tools we had, so we searched Yelp for help and found pictures of Mr. Gomez Construction's crew removing glued down flooring so we requested a quote. Isaias came out, gave us a quote and it was competitive, and based on his reviews we went with him and he did not disappoint. His crew showed up a couple of days later, got right to work. They were professional, prepared, and did an amazing job. They cleaned up after each day and the concrete is ready for the new floor. Very happy with this experience and will reach out again when the need arises! read more

We had some drywall work that we needed and contacted Mr. Gomez. They responded quickly and gave us a very fair price. We had an ugly section of wall that stuck out by our fridge and we had this company remove it - which also included replacing/repairing some of the LVP flooring. We also had them completely retexture and paint a poorly taped bathroom ceiling and now it looks like new! They worked neatly and were careful to drape their work from the rest of the house and they taped paper down where they worked. All-in-all we are very happy with the results and can definitely recommend this company for their drywall work. read more

I recently had some repair work done to a wood deck. I had several contractors bid on the repair and I decided to go with Isaiah and Mr. Gomez Construction. Isaiah is a true professional. He showed up on time and is very knowledgeable. His bid was a fair and honest cost to make the repair. He set a time for completion, and even though there were some repair surprises along the way, his completion estimate was precise. Isaiah's crew dutifully performed the work and cleaned up at the end of each day. His crew, Fidel and Sam performed their work in a professional and efficient manner. At the end of the job, the work was done to my complete satisfaction. Isaiah accepts check, cash and Zelle for payment. I had bubbling and torn drywall (from rain damage), a hallway that needed trim around the doors and an aesthetically pleasing attic access. I decided to go with Mr. Gomez Construction because of their rave reviews. I am so glad I did! I gave Mr. Gomez Construction a phone call and Isaiah came out at my earliest convenience. He asked me everything that I wanted done and he gave me a bid right there on the spot. I was told was a 3 day job and it took exactly that. His team (2 people) showed up at the same time every day, worked very quietly, they were very respectful and polite. Before they left each day, they made sure to clean up. Had an issue and they took care of it quickly. Very professional with high quality work.

We've been meaning to write this review for a while now -- we hired Mr. Gomez around January to install new lighting fixtures in our kitchen and bathroom. I had reached out to several contractors and handymen, and Mr. Gomez stood out. He was the only one who was willing to stop by for an on-site consultation, which I appreciated. Pricing: We received several quotes, and while Mr. Gomez wasn't the lowest, his pricing was fair and reasonable in comparison. Based on his responsiveness, we decided to move forward with him -- and overall, we're happy. Workmanship & Cleanliness: Overall, we are happy with the results. His team kept the work areas covered throughout the process so dust did not get into other areas. The patching work, especially in comparison to previous contractors we've worked with, was well done. That said, the patch in the upstairs bathroom didn't come out quite as smooth as we had hoped -- there's visible unevenness, which his team explained was due to the ceiling not being level, but I think there could be a fix? During the project, we also asked him to help replace a few other light fixtures with new LED ones. We purchased the fixtures ourselves, and his team installed them without issue. The added charges for the extra work were fair. read more

Mr. Gomez construction was fantastic. They were very honest and fair in their estimate for the project. One of our friends is a carpenter and gave us an estimate on what the project and materials should cost. Mr. Gomez was right in line with these estimates. We got three quotes - one of the other companies was reasonable but the other one was massive overcharge. So we had trust in Mr. Gomez from the start. He and his crew were friendly, punctual, knowledgeable. They installed two doors and built up the wall above the doors. They also handled a variety of miscellaneous tasks as well (fixing shower, installing heavy duty TV mounts, fixing gouges in walls). The project was completed in the estimated time frame. We would go back to them as our first choice for future projects. read more

We had water damage in the house and needed a contractor to help put up new drywall and rehang an existing door. We ended up going with Isaias after getting several quotes for several reasons: - Quick responses - Reasonable pricing - Can do different work (not just drywall patching) We also had other contractors tell us they wanted to do EVERYTHING even though we wanted to save money and paint ourselves. Isaias never pressured us and was flexible in the scope of work and adjusted his pricing accordingly. We also had an emergency issue with the city inspection due to a repipe inspection prior to this job but Isaias and his uncle came out right away to help us. After that we couldn't start work right away due to city inspections and he was flexible with us. As soon as we're ready his team started the day after. The work was finished promptly and we are very happy to have someone in our phone book for any future work around the house! read more

We hired Mr Gomez Construction in August for 2 bathroom remodels. We had reached out to about 7 different contractors after our first contractor dropped out last minute. The company that we got our cabinets from referred us to Mr Gomez. We spoke with Isaias and appreciated his promptness in response, timeliness, and cost. Isaias quoted us 2 weeks per bathroom, which was music to our ears at the time. I am rating the company a 4 because overall, we were happy with the quality of work and after 2 months, everything is holding up. We had some issues throughout the process, which is why I cannot give it a 5. Overall, we were happy with the work but wish things went a little more smoothly. Pricing: Pricing was fair in comparison to other quotes we received, it fell on the more affordable side, considering they are licensed. As most construction goes, my husband and I were prepared for instances when there would be additional costs. Luckily, we didn't run into AS many as we anticipated. On occasion, we did feel like the extra charges were not adequate, and after long discussions, Isaias waived most of them thankfully. Timing: The first few days of construction went smoothly, the contractors showed up on time as mentioned on Yelp. However, as construction went on, days were missed, and the bathrooms ended up taking 2 full months to complete compared to the 1 month we were promised. This was very frustrating for us as we did not anticipate this taking 2x the time quoted. Things dont always go as planned, however, the length of time it was extended was unacceptable. Communication: My husband and I are very adamant about communication via text, especially considering that we work from home. Isaias was great with communication in the beginning but as the project extended, it became harder and harder to reach him. Better expectations could have been set to let us know when workers would show up at our house. Some days, no one would show up and we would be waiting. At the end of each day, we had to text Isaias ourselves to understand what would happen the next day. Towards the end of the project, it felt like we were "bothering" him and it felt very uncomfortable for us to constantly check when the project would wrap up. Communication with the contractors, however was great. They were fairly communicative and would check in with us throughout the day. My husband and I are both designers and can be particular about how the work was completed, so I am VERY appreciative that most of them checked in with us. Fidel, who did a majority of the work was a delight. If we ran into issues, he would help us fix the issue with a smile on his face and he worked so quickly. Cleanliness: Tarp and butcher paper were laid out on the first day of demo and Fidel helped us touch up areas of the house that were damaged after all the work. My one gripe was that over the 2 months, the workers to use our powder room downstairs and left it very dirty on several occasions with toilets un-flushed. Workmanship: Overall, as mentioned, we are happy with the results. I waited to post this review after a few months to ensure the work held up. The designs were executed as we had imagined and we are happy with the final product. As mentioned above, my husband and I are designers and are likely more particular than most customers they've had to deal with. So I appreciate that they executed the designs as we imagined and think overall they did a solid job. read more
