We couldn't be more pleased with our decision to go with MJC Painting for our exterior trim project. We received several quotes. MJC was one of the most reasonably priced, however that was not the sole reason why we hired them. Jose was able to come to our home on the same day we reached out him for an estimate, which happened to be on a Sunday. He was courteous, professional, and didn't try to upsell us in any way. We only wanted our trim painted for aesthetic purposes, and that's exactly what he quoted. Jose's email and text communications were outstanding. We got all of the details ironed out quickly, and he and his team were able to start work within just a few days. The results speak for themselves! We were highly impressed with both the quality and efficiency of their work. Jose even did some patching on our door and stucco where needed. It was clear that he wanted us to be happy with the entire look of our home. Once everything was done (ahead of schedule), the team did a thorough job cleaning. MJC is South County's hidden gem, and we're so very glad that we found them! read more

I had a great experience with Jose and his team. They worked quickly and efficiently for the interior paint on my entire home. I received a few quotes and they were the most competitive in pricing. They were also very mindful of prep and made sure everything was tidy before they left. On the last day the team did touch up work on spots. They finished the job early and was always available for questions and feedback. Would recommend for anyone looking to get interior paint work done. read more

We had a great experience working with Jose and his team. And we had such a beautiful outcome from their texture, drywall and paint job. They painted our whole condo, ceilings, walls, doors, and baseboards. Jose doesn't let imperfections on walls slide. His texture job to fix bad drywall work previously done in three of the rooms was amazing. You can't tell at all where the imperfections used to be. After him and his team textured, primed, painted, and fixed the drywall we feel like we have a brand new place. His care for our walls changed the whole look and feel of the home, making it look beautiful, bright and inviting. He even helped us by connecting us to a contact of his, Marcos, to install recessed lighting and then did all the touch up work to make the ceilings look flawless. His prices are fair, his communication, availability and responsiveness were great and his work is top notch. They covered everything extremely well and there was no paint on anything that shouldn't have paint on it. The cleanup job after completion was excellent as well. It genuinely came through that he wants to do a good job for customers and really make people's homes beautiful for them. In a way we are sad our job is completed just because it is hard to find people who are so genuinely invested in excellence in their work like Jose is. If you are looking for anything to be done with your drywall or painting, texturing etc I highly recommend going with Jose and his team. He truly makes an art out of beautifying walls and having happy customers! read more

This company deserves 10 stars! We hired them to replace our entire kitchen ceiling and I could not be happier with them from beginning to end. They answered my first call, came that day to assess the project, quoted me that night and started the job a day earlier than expected. The crew was extremely respectful of our space and kept the rest of our home clean during the project. They told me the job would take 2 days and they were right! Job was complete in 2 days and they did a perfect job. This company goes above and beyond and recommended the best primer and print for us since we were planning on singing the drywall that they installed. I usually try not to hire contractors because in my experience they haven't been reliable, don't do work that I'm happy with, and never ever stick to what we've agreed upon. I will be hiring this company in the future and recommending them to all my local family and friends! read more

Jose and his helper painted my entertainment center. It was solid wood with an original dark wood finish and I wanted to lighten things up a bit in the living room. I got several quotes and Jose offered the best price and was the most responsive. When it started raining he covered everything up and moved things into my garage and we had to wait a few days for the weather to clear so it wouldn't damage the wood. He came back and finished the job in a day, and that included sanding, priming and painting. Did a great job and would work with them again. read more

I hired Jose & Marvin to paint the interior of a 2 story house after getting three quotes. Jose's quote was the most reasonable and he was able to start at a time I wanted. Jose showed up on time and started prepping the place. I appreciated the fact that he took all the switch and outlet plates off before painting. The place was kept clean throughout the days he was there. Next day, showed up on time as well. I also appreciated his input on the coloring. I had initially wanted a darker color but he recommended a lighter one for the smaller spaces (closet, toilet) and it turned out for the better. Responsible, on time, communicative, and well done job. I am very pleased and will definitely use him again. read more

Jose and his guys worked fast and efficient. I had a bunch of holes that needed to be patched up and painted after a re-piping due to a couple slab leaks in my house. Called some different drywall pros recommended by my peers but they couldn't come for at least a week after the call. I decided to use yelp and I liked the reviews I read here so I gave them a shot. He picked up quick and was over here at my house Monday. I called him Saturday morning hoping that off-chance he would respond which he did. They were gonna come Weds. but I had to handle some stuff but they were fine to come Thurs. instead which was cool. Knocked out all the work in 1 1/2 days and I swear you wouldn't be able to tell there were even holes to begin with. I'm impressed. The price was reasonable as well for parts and labor. Anyways, that's my two cents! read more

After getting tons of quotes from painters to paint our entire home, we chose Jose and his team. His price was competitive with a couple others, but what made Jose stand out was his eagerness to gain our business and even help patch multiple drywall areas that were cut out by an electrician. He promised to do a great job, protect our floors, carpets and everything else and he absolutely delivered on his promise! He was there with us to pick out paint colors and very patient as we decided on the color. Throughout the time as he painted the inside, he kept me in the loop and provided great suggestions. For example, we had decided not to paint the doors and frames, as it was not in our budget. But since we had selected Ultra Pure White and the doors and frames were previously painted Swiss Coffee, he noticed that not repainting them would make them look dirty. He was 100% right. Any other painter would have made this same suggestion and then charge an outrageous price knowing they have us in an advantageous situation. But Jose provided an exceptionally reasonable price for this extra work and didn't take advantage of us financially! His honesty, great work, and reasonable price is the reason I'm calling him for all paint work from now on! I already have more paint work to be done on multiple other houses and waiting for him only. Thank you Jose and team! read more

Jose and his team completed several paint jobs around the interior of our house, to include: ceilings, trim, baseboards and walls. They did a great job of protecting everything and cleaning up. Jose (owner) and his team were great. He knew he was painting a rental condo, so gave me a very good price. On time every day. Crew prepped very well. Expert quality. I am a contractor and I have 3 houses to paint. That could be why I expected and experienced such good quality preparation and paint. I'm not sure. But I was skeptical. Several areas of my home needed stucco cracks to be patched. They blended it in so well I COULD NOT TELL where the cracks were. Definitely recommend this crew! Call me and verify. This is no BS. (818)!599-5290 Jim. This is the first time I have used them. But won't be the last. They offered over-the-top quality for a very fair price! read more

Where do I start? Would I hire Jose and Marvin again? ABSOLUTELY! I hired them to make my 2600 square feet two story house look like a new home. They are very skilled and professional workers. It all started with removing a 700 square foot wood patio cover and a side shed. Jose showed up on time and went to work. They did the demolition and removal of all the wood. Next they started on preparing the outside of the house for painting. I told Jose I wanted Quality work and that is what I received. Jose communicated every step of the way. All issues found were communicated ASAP. Marvin did excellent wood work. They replaced four large post that were rotting on the front porch. They replace all rotted fascia. Finally they prepared and painted the exterior of the house. They painted the garage door. The neighbors have given us excellent complements on the new look of the house. It looks like new. Next they started on the upstairs bedrooms, bathrooms, and closets. These rooms barely survived three boys growing up and rough housing. They repaired all the holes in the walls and doors. They removed quite a bit of wallpaper. They painted all walls, closets, doors, and cabinets. I cannot be more happier how the upstairs turned out. When they finished painting the upstairs. I hired them to paint a condominium while we moved our belongings back upstairs. Once again excellent work by Jose and Marvin. Finally they started to prepare the downstairs for painting. Again patching all holes in the walls and doors. Excellent drywall repair work was done. If you need a painter who is reliable, honest, skilled, and has excellent pricing hire Paint and Drywall. read more
