All around great experience. Ricardo was communicative, timely, & thorough - all qualities that I'd hope for when tackling a huge project like exterior painting on a 2-story home. His team worked HARD and I saw progress each day they were at our home. I reached out to get quotes from several other painters, though I was so impressed with Ricardo at the beginning that I knew I would probably end up working with him. I'm so glad we did. In the end, their expertise brought modern life to our 90's style home. We are so grateful & can't recommend them enough. read more

In a neighborhood filled with neutral-toned, red-roof homes, our house now truly stands out in the best possible way. Many of our neighbors have even said it's the most beautiful in the association after Humble Painting completed the job. My wife and I reached out to several painting contractors, but even before receiving all the estimates or completing our interviews, we had a strong sense that we wanted to work with Ricardo Sotelo Humble, the owner of Humble Painting. His company had painted a neighbor's home across the street, so we had already seen firsthand the quality of their work. Ricardo was incredibly easygoing, offered thoughtful and creative ideas, and even provided a visual preview of what our home could look like using the colors scheme we were considering; something we hadn't expected but truly appreciated. From the very beginning, we felt confident that he knew his craft and wasn't simply trying to sell us something. His team was professional, detail oriented, and maintained a clean workspace throughout the project. The crew showed up on time each day and completed the work on schedule. The final result exceeded our expectations. It truly feels like a work of art. While every experience may vary, if ours is any indication, you'll be in great hands. We highly recommend Humble Painting. They have absolutely earned our 5-star rating. Thank you, Ricardo and team! Mike and Dareen W. read more

Ricardo and team did a wonderful job painting the newly-installed stucco around our garden window. Not only did he show up on very short notice, but he also took into consideration my WFH schedule and worked around those constraints. He had absolutely no obligation to do so, but his thoughtfulness really stands out. The paint looks great and we are very happy. I will update this review with a photo as soon as I'm able to do so. It was a pleasure working with Ricardo and the Humble Painting team on our exterior painting project. We requested quotes from quite a few contractors and Humble's pricing was very competitive. His friendly team promptly showed up every day, worked hard and were quick to address any issues we found during the process. Ricardo himself was very pleasant, respectful and very accommodating in all of our exchanges whether via phone, text or in person. He gave well thought-out suggestions regarding what paint color and sheen we should go with. We are very happy with the whole experience during the project and also with how beautifully it turned out. We needed a quick paint job after moving out to bring the space to show quality. We reached out to Humble Painting and Ricardo reached out via text less than 24 hrs after I made my initial inquiry. Ricardo was communicative, responsive, forthcoming and his services were more affordable than competitors. I eventually went with his services because to me he felt more secure with his services, whereas other companies tried to sell me their services (I know that's all well and fine it's just Ricardo just presented what he could do and let me make my decisions based off of his presentation of what he could provide). I didn't get a sense of pressure or a need to sell his work, he let his work speak for itself. Ricardo's uncle did the paint job and he was kind and professional, working until the job got done even after the sun went down. We were pleasantly surprised and overwhelmingly satisfied with the job. Ricardo even recognized things we didn't and suggested options and he was gracious to come back (next day) to get those pieces done when we overlooked them and it was honestly the right call. I would highly recommend Humble Painting and their services 5 out of 5 stars. read more

Ricardo and his team painted the entire interior of our home and they did an incredible job! He was quick to give a competitive quote and was available to start immediately. I had to do some drywall work in my master bedroom and needed the wall to be painted after it had been patched. Ricardo responded very quickly to my request and fit me into a Sunday morning (3 days later). He was punctual, paid attention to detail (which is had to find), clean, and careful with all of our surrounding furniture. He also offered a competitive price. I will definitely consider using him in the future for all of my painting needs. read more

If I could give a negative star, I would. Unlike the 5 star ratings posted here by happy customers, we unfortunately did not have the same "attention to detail" experience with Humble Painting. We hired Ricardo Sotelo, owner of Humble Painting, based on a competitive bid, a contract which outlined what materials would be used, including paint, and steps to be taken to prep various areas. Ricardo assured me he would be present while work was being done. We agreed upon a June 3rd start date with everything to be completed no later than Saturday June 8th. Unfortunately, Humble Painting failed on all counts. Ricardo was not only absent most of the day while his employees worked around our home, he was not truthful with us during this process. Our French doors, we have 2 sets plus one set with sidelights, were damaged beyond repair. We ultimately fired Humble Painting due to inferior work and the damaged french doors. Our corrective painting contractor did an excellent job removing/repairing the work conducted by Humble Painting. We ended up replacing our French doors. Due to the substantial increase in cost to correct ( & replace french doors), we felt we had no other option than to file a claim against Humble Painting & Ricardo Sotelo. After 4 mos of investigation which included submitting documentation and video recordings (thank goodness for our security cameras), we prevailed. I do not enjoy leaving negative reviews, but I do not want any homeowners to go through what we went through. read more
