We live in Mission Viejo, and just had the walls in all rooms on the first floor of our newly acquired 2-story home painted by DK Painting OC. It was a great experience, and the results were fantastic. Brysen Wells and his crew get 5-PLUS stars for: Communication - All aspects of the job were set out in writing ahead of time. Brysen also told us in advance what would happen at each phase, and if anything changed, he notified us right away. We didn't have to wonder. He visited the site every morning, to review progress with us and make sure his guys were clear on the objectives for the day. He called us if any questions came up, and was always available by phone or text if we needed to contact him. Expertise - we benefited from Brysen's extensive experience. Not only did he recommend certain products or finishes, he explained why. He also answered our questions regarding what would look good in terms of potential color combinations, accent colors, etc. Protection of floors, furniture, mirrors, window coverings - they used protective paper and/or plastic to provide everything you could hope for in terms of protecting the things that are at risk in any painting project. Quality of materials and workmanship - no cheapie paints; it was all Sherwin-Williams high quality material. The painters were highly skilled and organized; we could tell they'd been doing this for quite some time. Attention to detail - this being a 29-year old home, the usual assortment of wall dings and defects were present, and they were patched and/or textured as needed. Brysen even pointed out some things we hadn't noticed before. We could tell he wanted us to be completely satisfied with the results, and he didn't keep that a secret. Interaction with homeowners - Brysen has a friendly, steady manner with both his customers and his employees. All his painters were quiet, job-focused, hard-working, neat, and pleasant to interact with. Safety, credentials and insurance - We saw solid safety practices by the crew. Brysen is a licensed contractor, and he carries workers compensation and liability insurance for his entire operation. He provides a certificate of insurance ahead of time. Exceeded expectations - DK Painting OC's stated goal is to exceed customer expectations, and they did just that. We are VERY pleased. read more

They took their time to do it right and will not leave until you are satisfied. Brysen is honest and was there when I had questions and is super patient. I highly recommend their services to anyone who needs to paint their home. read more

I've been seeing DK Painting OC trucks around my neighborhood and thought I'd give them a try. It seemed like several of my neighbors have. I was very impressed with how quick they came over, gave me good suggestions and was able to work on my house right away. I think other companies could've stretched or dragged it out in two day but I saw how hard DK Painting worked to get the job done in one day. They did a fantastic job. I would totally recommend and if you're on the fence, I'd choose DK Painting in a heartbeat. I wish I would've taken proper before pics. I only have one of the stairs so I'll share that as my before pic. And let me tell you. It was worth it read more

Can't say enough good things about this painting contractor! From the first contact with him, Brysen was professional, informative, and enthusiastic about the job. We contracted with DK Painting to paint the exterior of the house and detached garage, exterior railing and stairway, stucco garden walls, new entry door, two outdoor decks, garage door, eaves, fascia, .... You name it, Brysen's team prepared it, painted it, and did an outstanding job. They use top quality paint and materials, maintain a clean work area, and provide a warranty on all their work. This company went the extra mile to make sure everything was completed to top quality standards, and we couldn't be happier. We recommend DK Painting wholeheartedly!! read more

I dealt with Brysen, the owner, at DK Painting OC, and he is a true professional. The best painting contractor I ever dealt with. Our home looks terrific. He showed up on time, his crew knew their stuff, and they did not leave any mess at all. It was so easy to do business with them. No surprises, and they expertly repaired areas where the wood had rotted or needed to be replaced. He is the only contractor you need to call when you need your home painted. read more

I couldn't be happier with DK Painting. We live in San Juan Capistrano and needed to have the second story shutters painted, as the home owners association complained that our paint was peeling. We already had the paint and needed someone to climb to the second floor to paint the shutters. I had some companies turn me down since they had a minimum square footage they required before they'd come out, and I was afraid DK Painting would do the same since I see on their reviews that they do a lot of large-scale jobs and business buildings. However, the owner, Brysen, answered immediately when I called, was very cordial, had me send him the photos, and was upfront about how the cost was to be calculated. I also called 4 other painters and DK Painting had the best price out of all of them. Brysen was able to send out one of his painters the very next morning, and his painter, Jesus, did an excellent job. As you can see in the photo, the job is flawless. Brysen told me that Jesus had been working for their family business for over 40 years, which says a lot for the integrity of a company. Brysen also called me after sending the proposal to make I had all my questions answered, and then again after the job was done and the paid for to make sure I was completely satisfied and had no other concerns or questions. I'm very happy with the work done, and highly recommend them! read more

My wife and I absolutely dread having to interview and hire contractors to do work at our house. We're very picky and are often disappointed. Brysen from DK Painting was a breath of fresh air. He evaluated the work needed, came up with a very reasonable proposal for cost, and an approximate time frame for completion. He also offered us a maximum....NOT TO EXCEED cost. We agreed and he had Ricardo come out first thing Monday morning. The entire job (wallpaper removal, retexturing the walls, and repainting) was completed in 3 days. The laundry room looks FANTASTIC! My wife is soooooo happy, which makes me happy. We rarely do recommendations, but in this case we strongly recommend giving Brysen/DK Painting a call and let them give you a really professional experience. Thanks to Brysen and Ricardo. We will definitely use you again if we need work done. Frank & Kelly D read more

We used DK Painting in a commercial office space to restore office suites back to the original condition when we first leased the space. We had cut two doorways to make three suites into one. DK Painting framed and did drywall to restore the walls, textured the walls, put in new baseboards, and primed and painted. They did a quality job and finished even before the deadline I had requested. Brysen is excellent to work with. I highly recommend DK Painting and they are licensed and insured. read more

We recently had DK Painting repaint our exterior spiral staircase, and we couldn't be more pleased with the results. They transformed it with a crisp white finish that looks clean, elegant. From start to finish, their team was professional, punctual. They took great care in prepping the surface and ensured that every curve and angle of the spiral staircase was covered. The quality of their work stands out. We collected 3 quotes before we decided on DK Painting. It was a good value with a quote that was right in line with the other quotes we received. read more

Called DK Painting and Darren answered, very polite, we set a time and met to discuss the project. The property needed a serious face lift and Darren was straightforward with me about what needed to be done. Out of all the contractors I met, Darren was the most honest. His crew worked on my property for about 4 weeks. Very professional crew, they knew what they were doing and they transformed the property from an eyesore to one of the best on the block all on a very fair price. I would highly recommend DK painting for your project. read more

DK Painting painted the stucco and wood exterior including the porch cover of my Irvine house two years ago. Darren was very straightforward and is a man of his word. He showed up promptly for our meetings and did what he said he was going to do. Darren cares about doing a good job and making his customers satisfied. The past two summers, when I contacted DK Painting for some touch-up painting, Darren responded right away and his worker Omar wasvery on time, accommodating and nice, and cleaned everything up. The house looks great. Thanks, DK Painting, for being reliable and for giving me peace of mind. My neighbor even asked who's my painter because she said the house looks like new. read more

We highly recommend this company for painting and carpentry repairs. She said she would definitely do business with them again. read more

I had the pleasure of working with Darren, Chris and Ivan from DK Painting in April of 2021 for an exterior paint job to my home. It was a first class experience from beginning to end. They did outstanding prep work to the outside of the house which had many cracks and defects. Work began with a thorough pressure washing, then scraping loose paint and unsound stucco from the walls. Next, they patched everywhere and blended the stucco so you could barely tell the old from the new. Finally, they primered the whole house, backrolled it, and sprayed on the final color. About one week has passed and we've already received compliments from several neighbours. We can't believe how much better the house looks! Darren told us from the beginning that he would not be the cheapest bid but he also wouldn't be the most expensive. He asked us to keep in mind that he and his team are true professionals and would get the job done right. We certainly feel that that was the case and we can highly recommend the DK painting team. They are professionals and they were always respectful and kind, even when we were probably being a little too picky about some things. As a bonus DK painting was the only painter we spoke to who offered a workmanship warranty, so we feel secure in our investment. read more

I used DK Painting to paint my small commercial strip mall and they did an excellent job at a fair price. I consider myself very picky and found an area they missed but they promptly fixed it even after I had fully paid them. It was at the top of a high small ledge which wasn't obvious due to the angle. My son was so impressed with their work on the trash enclosure he took pictures! read more

I came across Darren because his crew was painting my next door neighbors home. I was very impressed with the amount of preparation and attention to detail they were doing. On my block, his company has now painted 5 homes including ours. I figured he must be doing something right. I saw the quality of work first hand from my neighbor, but I still got 3 bids and he wasn't the cheapest. You will end up paying alittle more but the materials he used, workmanship and quality are exceptional. Darren is a very effective communicator, genuine and down to earth. He's a details guy and answered any and all questions along with suggestions. We also had some extensive wood work in need of repair. After 52 years of pool water splashing against the boards of our house, the wood rot and termites had taken its toll. Again, Darren used quality wood and materials and restored it beautifully. Finally, I can't say enough about the crew Ivan and Chris. These two showed up every morning on time and were ALWAYS very polite, courteous and professional. They always took the time to explain things and their quality of work was outstanding. His company motto I saw on his signs said "exceeding your expectations".....and they did just that..I would refer DK painting in a heartbeat! read more

DK painting was by far the best experience as far as hiring somebody to work on my house. Horacio and Rafeal are very professional, they pay attention to details from preparing the house to be painted and cleaning up after the job is completed. Very professional crew. In and out, no problems. I will hire these guys again. Very reasonable pricing.

I actually found DK Painting on Yelp due to their affiliation with Sierra West Painting, and I am so glad that I did! After getting 3 other paint bids, I chose to go with Darren and his team because the price was fair (not the lowest) for the amount of work that needed to be done. I felt very confident that DK Painting would do a thorough job, but I had no idea that his crew (namely Louie and Bryson) would be so meticulous and would take such care to make sure that we were happy. We have an old home in Eastside Costa Mesa, and due to termite and water damage, we needed a lot of repair work prior to painting. Their stucco work made my house look new again, and that was no easy feat!! I would highly recommend them to anyone needing interior or exterior work (they actually helped us with some interior patching due to an electrical issue, and you would never know that there was a 2ft x 2ft hole in my wall when they were done). Like others who have posted, after seeing my paint job, 2 neighbors on my street decided to go with DK Paining and have also been thrilled with the pricing, communication and most importantly, the results. Thank you to the whole team, you made our home look new again! read more
