I recently had my popcorn ceilings removed, followed by priming and painting, and overall I'm very happy with the final result from Custom Painting and Decorating. Week 1 was outstanding--Mario and Greg did exceptional work. They were professional, courteous, detail-oriented, and kept everything clean. You can really tell they take pride in what they do. During Week 2, a different crew was assigned, and unfortunately there were some issues with inconsistent work quality. There was peeling of the original paint when tape was removed, and quite a bit of debris left on my carpets, which was disappointing. However, what truly makes this a five-star experience is how the company handled it. Mario and Greg returned during the first two days of Week 3 and completely turned things around. They fixed the issues, cleaned up thoroughly, and once again delivered exceptional workmanship. The outside of our home needed a major paint upgrade, and I searched high and low for a reputable company that was competitively priced. I sent requests to a few companies, and one of the first to reach out was Custom Painting. We set up a consultation, and Cesar came out not once, but twice because I was indecisive and had follow-up questions and concerns that he was able to assist with. I was in between colors, and Juan came to our house to swatch them so I could make a better, more informed decision. They were extremely flexible with our schedule, as I had other contractors and projects happening at the same time. When they showed up to start the project, they were very professional and communicated every step of the way. Their painters, Jorge and Victor, were professional and did an amazing job on the entire exterior of our home. They took their time prepping, priming, sanding, and making sure their work area was clean. Almost every day, I received an update from Jorge letting me know what the day would look like and what was planned for the next day. Toward the end of the project, there were details we hadn't considered until things were wrapping up, and they were extremely understanding when I needed to make a few adjustments and changes. The timing wasn't perfect--we had a few hiccups due to a delay in our door installation--but they worked with us the best they could. Overall, I am so glad we went with Custom Painting. They came out to home , gave estimate and collected a deposit. Scheduled start date of job - then canceled and rescheduled for a week later. Then called and canceled that start date and bumped it out one more day (One person showed up and did a marginal power wash job) about an hour of work on a 3000 square-foot home!! So now we're on a third reschedule time theCrew was a no-show. No call from the owner or the manager?! had to call them to see what was going on-- they said one of their workers trucks got shot up in Santa Ana by bullets - I checked online. Project: Exterior house painting. After reading countless reviews, we made the decision to contact Custom Painting & Decorating for a quote. Cesar and Nathan came to our home and listened to all of our wants and concerns for paint and repairs. Took measurements, and photos of everything. Truly, they left no stone unturned before providing a very thorough quote. They even took a photo of our house and showed it with various colors, to show us how it could look. We had already been actively getting quotes, but within a few hours of our meeting with Cesar & Nathan, we were so impressed, that we decided our search was over, and signed their contract. We felt their price quote was fair. (They were not the cheapest), but we liked that they were local family owned and working company, with all their own employees and no subs. We used CP&D for a couple large rooms with high pitch ceilings that were in need of significant TLC. Drywall tape was peeling, multiple cracks due to land settling (common in our area) and drywall seams showing. Communication was excellent with questions answered quickly.
