I worked with Marty and his crew to transform a section of my backyard, and the results are fantastic. They took an unusable, dirt-filled area and converted it into a high-quality concrete pad that looks great. Before & after pics attached. Marty was incredibly thorough throughout the entire project, ensuring that the new concrete was installed with drainage to handle runoff properly. The crew's work was highly professional, and he was responsive and very easy to communicate with from start to finish. Once the job was complete, they did an excellent job cleaning up the site, leaving the space looking better than when they arrived. To top it off, his quote was very competitively priced. I highly recommend Marty and his team for anyone looking for reliable and professional construction work. read more

JM Superior construction is worth the investment. Marty is very professional and flexible to work with. Our concept was hard to visualize in the beginning from a new driveway, walkway and landscaping. Marty gave suggestions that would be cost effective and gave us a killer design. From start to finish it was seamless. They had made it easy for us to communicate with them and any changes we had was very easy. They are truly perfectionists. Everyone that came to our home were great and worked hand in hand. We couldn't be happier with our choice! I had contacted several designers, concrete companies and landscapers for over a year with several proposals and i hit a home run by going with Marty. My wife is hard to please and absolutely loves the outcome. read more

We were looking for a contractor to redo our circular driveway. We found JM Superior Construction's ( MARTY ) on Yelp, what a find! Extremely satisfied! This is the second project Marty and his crew have completed for us. We decided we wanted to put a gazebo in our backyard. But we needed a cement surface. However, there was some ugly footing at the bottom of our existing brick fence that we needed to hide. After speaking with Marty, he offered his recommendation which was to create a cement bench. Adding the cement bench not only hid the ugly footing, it also gave us additional seating. Take a look at the detail in the brick. It's magnificent. In addition, Marty also suggested a curb at the bottom of the rest of the existing brick wall to hide the other cement footing. The curb is beautiful! A big thank you to Marty and his crew. We are very happy with the results! read more

J. M. Superior Construction We recently got a block fence constructed by this company for our house and were delighted with the service received by this company's owner, Jose Martin. Marty and his crew completed the work in record time and built a beautiful block wall after obtaining a permit from the city. I would highly recommend his company for the exceptional service, attention to detail, reasonable cost, and ease of completion of this project. Marty guided us through the process, which first involved learning about block walls and his communication and updates to us as the work was in progress was excellent. For peace of mind and timely completion of the work, also, this company is highly recommended. read more

We had Marty and his crew pour a slab for us in our backyard. Of all the people we had called to request information, he was the one who was most helpful. He gave us a great quote (not too low and not too high). He explained in depth what to expect according to what we were requesting. Once his crew came over on the scheduled date, they were quick and efficient. It took a few days, which is to be expected, but everything came out perfect. We're so happy with Marty and his crew's work, that we currently have him working on our driveway. We'll be recommending him to our friends, for sure! read more

Near the end of a major renovation of our previous home which our daughter & son-in-law rent from us, we needed block walls to replace wood fencing. Our contractor had a bid that our neighbor felt was too high, so he got a bid from Marty which was much more reasonable. Super glad we went with Marty & JM Superior! He was easy to work with, his crew was great, & they did a beautiful job. They were fast, worked extremely hard, & Marty's suggestions for fixing an issue alongside our driveway caused by a previous contractor were spot-on & made the finished project come out better than I had hoped. They even power washed our driveway after completing the job! Our neighbors are very happy & so are we. When we need work done on our house in the future, we will be calling Marty again for sure & highly recommend him! read more

I used Marty and JM superior construction for a rather large backyard remodel. We are thrilled with the outcome! We had nearly 1000 sq ft of patio removed, and about 2000 sq ft poured to replace it and add walkways to our front sidewalk and add a small patio. The outcome is truly superior. Marty and his crew were also very nice to work with and very clean. I'll be adding photos soon after the concrete fully cures. Thanks Marty! read more

I cannot spend highly enough of my experience with JM. I was very concerned when doing a large patio (1800sq ft) with almost no right angles and a horrible grade that anyone would take the time to do it right. Marty and his crew methodically laid everything out, taking into account my hopes for the project and what his experience said was the right way to do it, making the project better than I could have imagined. I think it is best said as the following: When I replace my driveway in a year, I will not call anyone else. I recommend the same to everyone else. If you want it done right, these are your guys. Also their price was very reasonable, and they are not taking advantage of the current situation. read more

I'm extremely satisfied with the level of expertise, thoroughness and most importantly, the communication Marty and his crew provided throughout the duration of landscaping my backyard. Some context of the job: Demo and remove existing planters wall, tile and concrete roughly ~1100 sq feet in the backyard. Add rebar, 3 new drains, redesign of a small planters wall, and pour new concrete. A big project like this requires timing and coordination that Marty oversaw from start to finish. From planning to execution, Marty and crew went above and beyond using their knowledge to offer what was best compared to what I had originally outlined. His pricing is very reasonable and will always do his best to accommodate your situation. The project took about 2 weeks despite how crazy busy him and his crews are. I was in no rush since I wanted them to do it right and take their time. I've already inquired landscaping in front of my house from Marty. When I'm ready, I'll definitely be reaching out to him again! Marty and Crew, thank you very much for making this as smooth of a big project as can be! read more

We hired Marty to fix some irrigation issues and complete a retaining wall project that we had started. He replied quickly to our quote request, and stuck to his price even though it ended up being a little bit more work that anticipated. He didn't lag on communication while we were setting up the work schedule. He replied when he said he was going to, and kept us updated as we approached the installation day. Our irrigation pipes needed to be re-routed to avoid the new retaining walls that were going in, sprinkler heads moved around, and there was a drain pipe from the upper lawn that was completely clogged up with dirt and roots. They did a great job of replacing it, and making sure we had positive drainage to the curb before covering everything back up. Before discovering the plumbing issues, my wife and I had built the lower retaining wall. Marty fixed some things that we could have done better with that wall, before moving on to finish the 2nd and 3rd walls. He was very communicative the entire time...making sure that the new irrigation and wall locations were exactly where we wanted them. He knew when to let us make the decisions, and when to step in with his advice. Marty and his crew showed up on time, kept the jobsite tidy while they worked, and cleaned up when they were finished. His team was courteous and friendly, and had a smile on their faces the whole time...despite the fact that they were working on a Sunday! Little details like turning the radio volume down when he was talking to us speaks to his character and how much he respects his customers. We would have absolutely no hesitations hiring him again for future projects, or recommending him to friends and family. read more

I feel lucky to have met and hired Marty and his team. They have set the bar for every contractor I hire in the future (probably Marty when applicable!). These are highly skilled people in the driveway business which is why I chose them over 'cheaper' offers. PS - not that much cheaper anyway. JM uses the highest standards in concrete loading (3500 psi) and heavier re-bar than most others. The best part was the dedicated collaborative design discussions (no cost) resulting in the ideal driveway for 'me'. See photos - pavers were 1.7x the cost so we added a simple stamped border which is subtle yet elegant for NO ADDITIONAL COST !! I never write reviews (maybe twice in my life) but these guys deserve my time to share with our community the 'cream-o'-the-crop' for everyone to consider. 10 stars! read more

I can't say enough good thing about Marty and his company. We were in search of a good/reliable/trustworthy contractor and sure glad we met Marty. Our job consisted of a complete demo and excavation for a drive way extension (nearly 2500 sqft). We received multiple quotes and Marty's came in at a very competitive price and also the best price. Marty was thorough in his initial walkthrough and addressed any issues/concerns I had. Was not pushy at all and educated me on a lot of things to ensure I knew what I was getting. Marty and his crew were in time and completed the project in just a few short days after starting also leaving the area spotless.
