I contracted with Ramirez Concrete to do extensive flatwork around my house in Downey. I 've been a general contractor myself for over 40 years and I can say that Ramirez Concrete is at the top tier if any sub contractor I hired over the years. Luis and his screw are real pros and they take pride in what they do, which is hard to find these days. The quality of work was above my expectation. It was completed in record time and at cost that was very reasonable. It has been a pleasure working with Luis and his crew. read more

Luis and his crew are as good as it gets. They are very responsive, provided an immediate quote and stuck to it, and the final product was much better than expected. The price was the best of multiple quotes I got and they had the entire project completed in two days. They had good recommendations and left my backyard much better than they found it. Couldn't recommend them more. read more

It was a pleasure working with Ramirez Concrete. They were always on time and did high quality work from the demolition, framing, metal bar, to pouring. The great thing about Ramirez Concrete is that he is accommodating of my preferences and is willing to modify plans as we go along. He could have charged me for all the extra bonuses he provided but he didn't. He built a cement platform for me, a raised planter, and even moved some large trees for me. I would definitely work with them again. read more

We have had the pleasure of watching true experts at work. After the first two cement trucks dumped their load and the cement was pumped into the back yard, the third truck arrived loaded with regular concrete aggregate (due to the fault of the supplier) which could not be used so it was rejected. Despite this, the Ramirez crew waited an hour for the proper product. Very admirable. This delayed their lunch and caused additional work to make sure the late load matched the first pours. We are so happy with their workmanship and Ramirez Concrete is our new concrete guy. Thank you Ramirez Concrete! read more

I'm beyond impressed with Ramirez concrete. Prices were comparable to other quotes I received. The concrete and drainage pipe work was perfectly done and looks flawless. Each member of the crew handled their role with precision, allowing the entire process to move quickly and smoothly. Jose Luis and his team are very well organized. From start to finish their communication with me was great and they were on time for the project. The crew is incredibly hard-working and showed complete respect for my property. I was especially pleased with the cleanup. Before leaving, they swept and hosed down my entire lawn, driveway, sidewalk and my backyard as well. It's rare to find a company this meticulous. I will definitely be using them again. They did such a good job, two of my neighbors came by and asked for quotes from Jose Luis for their homes. Job well done, thanks Jose Luis! 5/5 read more

Highly satisfied with our experience! Luis and the team were professional, experienced, and delivered excellent work from start to finish. They showed up promptly every day around 7-7:30AM ready to go, and consistently cleaned up the job site before leaving, which we really appreciated. Pricing was affordable and honest--no surprises--and the project manager was on-site daily, personable, and always available to walk us through progress or answer questions at the beginning, during, and end of each day. They were also very resourceful and connected us with a knowledgeable electrician, which made coordinating everything much easier. Overall, a smooth, well-managed project and a team I'd confidently recommend. read more

Luis and his crew did an absolutely amazing job for my side and back yard in 3 days. Everything turned out to be perfect. They are on time, efficient, and very mindful. Luis walked me through what they did, and what they are going to do each day. Explained how they are going to do the grading, boarder, etc. They cleaned up the job site each day. I got a few quotes before deciding to go with Luis. First, he was very easy to communicate with. He was very quick and straightforward with the quote. His price is competitive, and their work is great. I can see the quality in all the pictures on this page, and now in person. Everything single line is perfectly straight, and this is very satisfying for my lowkey OCD. I highly recommend them for anyone looking to renovate their yard. I couldn't be happier. read more

What can I say. Luis is one of the best contractors I ever worked with. He gave me a great price and quality work. He and his team were always on time and were hard workers. They cleaned up after themselves everyday and never left the area messy. Luis never complained or gave me a hard time if I asked him if he could do something or change something. His team was able to demo and prep and lay cement for our whole backyard including adding drains in a very short period of time. I would definitely recommend him to my friends and family. read more

I chose to work with Ramirez Concrete based on the good reviews they have on Yelp and I'm so glad I made the right choice. Luis and his team were beyond my expectations. I needed to remodel my driveway, raise up my front lawn and add a retaining wall. They finished the project faster than I thought. Luis and his team showed up early every morning and worked so hard during the heatwave. They are honest, respectful and so pleasant to work with. Luis always listened to our feedback and tried his best to be flexible with our design changes. I'm very happy with the result and the final cost. After interview a few companies in landscaping, we decided to go with Ramirez Concrete for their expertise in concrete and it was one of our best decisions when it comes to home renovations. Luis who is the owner came to our house on time, very professional, give us the quote on the spot, provide liability insurance and a fair price for 3000 sqft of new concrete. His team came at 7:30am and leave around 4pm before it gets dark and they are always on time! My husband was working at home the whole time and noticed that the entire team was very respectable to our home surrounding. They cleaned up after each day and haul away all trash and dead trees stumps that was found underground when prepping for concrete pour. Another thing that I was surprised by their work quality is the fact they were don't pay anything until the job finished, not even 10% of downpayment. That's how confident they are about their work. 1000% recommend this family owned business to anyone who's looking for quality work and fair pricing. read more

I recently reached out to Jose Luis the owner of Ramirez concrete and was thoroughly impressed with the experience starting with the onsite quote. He wrote the quote on the spot and revised the quote within 5 minutes or adding additional work. The staff's attention to detail is truly commendable. He took the time to understand my needs and ensured that every aspect of the service was perfect. Their high level of skill was evident in the quality of their work, and I'm feeling extremely satisfied. Jose Luis is bilingual so communication was very clear for my family to talk to him and he's also responsive via yelp messaging. I requested some small details in our messages, and he fulfilled those requests even when I forgot. The exceptional value and reasonable cost of their services went above and beyond what I anticipated. Overall, I highly recommend Ramirez Concrete to anyone looking for top-notch service. It felt like familt. Their commitment to excellence is unmatched, and I will be referring them to all my family members! read more

I can't say enough good things about Jose. I found him here on Yelp and I'm so happily I did !! He's honest and reliable. He told me what could be done and not what I wanted to hear, I really respect that and the driveway turned out fantastic! All done while I way gone for the Easter weekend. I didn't need to babysit him and his crew. He had the job done in 3 days. I had gotten another estimate from a different contractor on Yelp who just kept putting me off. Then just disappeared. When I called Jose he came the same day gave the estimate and set a date to do the job. He's very efficient and does what he says he'll do. I'm so thankful that we found him here on Yelp (after the last guy I almost gave up on it)I recommend him to everyone.! His price was very reasonable as well. read more

I am very pleased with the work that Luis did for our backyard. He was very responsive, friendly and easy to work with. We had just demolished the pool in our backyard so we had concrete installed to surround the backside of our house, in the side yard and added a patio. The job was perfectly executed and looks clean and modern. His price was fair and reasonable and the speed with which they worked was amazing. I got 3 estimates for 3 different areas of my house to have conrete added. Far and away I was the most impressed with Luis during the estimate meeting. The price was in the middle of the 3 but I don't believe in just picking the lowest price for an important job like this. He was easy to schedule the project with and the 3 man crew worked very hard and efficiently and finished the job in a day and a half. They cleaned up well after each day and he communicated well thoughout the process. I love giving my business to a small, local business that provides exceptional work.
