This is a family owned business that really exhibits pride in the quality of their workmanship and honesty in every aspect. They provided us with a beautiful 6ft tall redwood fence with a custom gate that exceeded our expectations. They communicated well with us starting with the advice and estimate from Emilio in the beginning and throughout the project to insure accuracy and our complete satisfaction. They completed everything in a timely manner and were reasonably priced and the cleanup was spectacular. While they were here, they had every opportunity to take advantage of our recently widowed neighbor who had significant stucco damage on the side of her garage that needed to be repaired before our fence was put up next to it or she would not have been able to access the problem. They were able to repair her garage wall at a very reasonable price as they worked on our fence, giving her peace of mind. The workers were so very hard-working, very pleasant and thoughtful, highly skilled and really took pride in their tasks. One even was able to come after this project was completed to address some electrical problems that came up while they were here. If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would. It just feels wonderful to find that people like the SOS family do exist in today's world. read more

I highly recommend SOS Fencing! Our backyard fence went done due to the heavy winds (we live in proximity to the Eaton fires). We contacted several fencing companies and Emilio/SOS Fencing was the only one that responded. The customer service is excellent. Emilio made sure to stay in communication with us, especially with principal clients (if there are joint neighbors' arrangements) - which I was one and very much appreciated. His crew did an excellent AND beautiful work in building our fence. Top quality workmanship. The wood and metal posts are in cement. Wood boards are top notch. We requested for the boards to be close together and they did it. When we saw the fence after it was built, we were standing outside staring at it in amazement. For us, it was a good feeling to finally have a top-quality fence versus a poor quality one. The fence gives us privacy and it will have longevity, especially with the winds. Emilio and his team at SOS replaced my back fence recently and did a first class job. Working with them was straightforward and hassle-free. Emilio was quick to respond to questions, clear in his communications, and the work quality was excellent. The job required removal of the existing fence and demolition of the remainder of a tumble-down block wall on a tree-covered slope. They trimmed the trees as needed and took away all of the old remaining structures without disturbing my landscaping. The site was cleared of all debris at the end of the work, and the new redwood fence is beautiful! Emilio, Roberto, Robert, Manuel, and the team are professional and do really good work. The SOS team works hard, leaves the job site clean, and are friendly. We had a 41' block wall installed on the side of our property which is next to the neighbor's driveway. SOS also built and installed a nice large redwood gate. The permit process in Downey is lengthy but there's no way to get around that. As soon as each phase of inspection was signed off, SOS scheduled their next work day. On final inspection, the city inspector said SOS is a good company to work with. Working with all contractors should be this good! Stress free and a wonderful outcome! read more

Our wall was covered with 30 years very thick ficus ivy. After recent earthquakes cracks appeared in the wall and it slowly began to come down, only held up by the ivy. SOS fencing came out and gave us a very competitive bid. After one day they had removed 63 feet of ivy covered cinder block wall in a neat and orderly manner. A day and a half later we had a new 7' cinder block wall and a 2' white vinyl topper. No mess no fuss. Even though their price was higher and I…read morehad to wait a month for the installation, the vinyl fence looks good and they even threw in a small back section for free. I appreciate the quality of the actual build. However, the process to get the finishing details completed was a bit frustrating. During the tear-out, they cut back my existing fencing and left a gap in the perimeter. They also drilled some unnecessary holes into my home's stucco when installing the gate and left them unpatched. When I contacted management about these issues, they initially tried to upsell me a $700 repair. They eventually offered to come out and fix the gap as a courtesy, but due to some scheduling disorganization, workers showed up unexpectedly twice without completing the work. Fortunately, they returned today and fully resolved everything by filling the gap and sealing the stucco holes. They do nice work on the fence itself, and while their communication and scheduling could use some improvement, I appreciate that they ultimately followed through and made things right.
