We recently had extensive concrete, flagstone, and drainage work completed by A Pete's Concrete and are very happy with the results. Our backyard project included new flagstone installation, drainage solutions, mortar work, and blending old and new materials together. The crew worked very hard and showed real craftsmanship throughout the project. Pita (Pete) was patient with our many questions and took the time to explain the drainage system and test everything carefully before finishing the job. He clearly has a lot of experience and wanted to make sure the water flow issues were properly addressed. The finished stonework looks beautiful and has completely transformed the space. We especially appreciated the attention to detail, the effort to preserve and reuse existing flagstone where possible, and the willingness to work through challenges as they came up. The project required creativity and problem-solving, and we felt the team genuinely cared about the final outcome. Thank you to Pita and the crew (which includes his hard-working son, Pete) for helping bring our backyard vision to life! read more

Pita was fast and efficient! He came when he said he would and laid cement over two areas that had been ripped up by my plumber. He was cheaper than my other quotes for the job by a couple hundred bucks. Overall it was super easy to work with him. He has a gruff voice and mumbles a bit but he is solid and an excellent worker. read more

Called Pita to have some concrete work done around my home. Pita and his team was punctual and professional, pricing was competitive and the work was professionally done. I would definitely recommend Pita and would work with him again in the future. thanks Pita! read more

Everything about this job was great. Except that I opted to try to save some money by providing the bricks. Will not try that again, it would have been far easier and about the same cost, (after truck rental, multiple trips, etc) to just let them bring the bricks. Guys were great workers, did a great job making a lovely brick patio out of a yukky area at side of house. We used that new brick patio every day of covid. Was & am super glad to have it. Recommend. read more

Pita and his team just finished my driveway and patio area last week. With my ideas and Pita's input and consent, the project turned out even more fantastic than I had envisioned. Now, we only need to wait for the DG to settle. The team was super friendly and everything was "programmed" to finish on time (even with Thanksgiving falling in the middle). I would highly recommend A Petes Concrete for your concrete work. read more

Wanting a concrete patio with brick borders, I obtained three quotes for this job. I chose Pete as his quote was very competitive and I felt I could trust him with the work. On the first day, Pete and his team arrived on time, began the excavation to level my backyard, removing the existing bricks, rocks, artificial grass, plants, etc. Over the next two days, the frames were built for the concrete and the bricks were laid. On the fourth day, the truck arrived to pour the concrete. On the last day, Pete returned to complete the final touch-ups. The entire project was completed on time and according to schedule. A few weeks later, while preparing the soil around the new patio for planting shrubs, I discovered a large rock in the middle of the planting area. Since I didn't have the tools to break it up, I called Pete. He came by the next day with a jackhammer and broke up the rock for me--at no charge. I highly recommend Pete and his team for any concrete work. read more

I am glad I called back A Petes, they built a block wall for me 13 years ago. Pita and his crew ( which included his son) completed the work I had done and left the area clean, which was important to my wife. I was very, very happy with the results and the price. We are already discussing a date for another project I have in mind. read more

I definitely recommend Pita and his crew. We hired Pita to pour a new backyard patio and the whole process was great. Pita is clearly knowledgeable and his crew does great work. A Petes Concrete - Masonry/Concrete Near Me

My sidewalk had sunk so far below the top of the ramp up from the gutter that I couldn't park in my driveway without seriously scraping the bottom. Pita measured the area and slope, and calculated how to get all the surfaces at the required levels and angles. His crew brought a dumpster, demolished the old concrete, and then built forms for where the concrete would go. The next day they arrived before the concrete truck and expertly spread, leveled and painstakingly finished every surface. Two days later they returned to remove the protective barriers and removed the remaining construction debris. A-Pete's Concrete wasn't the lowest-priced bid, but I'm so glad I chose them. I can safely park in my driveway again! Also, two neighbors have stopped by so far to admire the work. read more

After someone crashed into the permitter wall of our property, we were forced to find a masonry company that would fix the damage. We were lucky to have come across Pita at A Pete's Concrete. Not only was Pita and his company responsive to my request for a quote, he knew exactly what modifications we wanted to make the entrance to our property. In this day and age where it seems that customers are constantly asking vendors for quotes, it was refreshing to receive immediate feedback from Pita and his company. Not only to Pita fix the pedestal at the entrance of the property, he modified the entrance to allow for a door to swing in to provide our family with more privacy. Pita was also flexible when I asked whether he would be able to tile over the new cement that he poured and over the existing concrete. We are very happy with the finished product. We highly recommend Pita and his company. read more

Pete is the man!! He gets the job done with great quality work and on time. If you need any masonry work done please get a quote from him and his prices are great! He just finished a 65 foot retaining wall for our property. He did excellent job with installing rebar and pouring concrete making it very strong foundation. The bricks he installed into the foundation showed good quality. He isn't just buying Home Depot stuff (nothing against that) his quality materials he is using is excellent . Pita and his team did an amazing job replacing our driveway and building us some accessibility ramps for our home. None of the work was simple, yet they got it done beautifully in just 3 days. We spoke to several concrete contractors and Pita gave us the best quote after his free site visit, during which he clearly demonstrated his expertise. Best of all, the rate was straightforward and didn't change as we hammered out the details. Would absolutely hire this local family business again. read more

Pita and his crew of concrete craftsman did a fantastic job on our new driveway and garage interior. As you can see the driveway gas a deluxe diamond pattern that turned out awesome and didn't cost any extra. Garage is so smooth and we'll done. The crew also installed a storm drain and sloped the concrete so water will run off to the ground and not into the garage. The crew swept up each day and kept the work area nice and tidy. This was a really big job involving demo and new concrete forms. Great concrete contractor. Highly recommend Pita and crew! read more

Was very reasonably priced. Did good work on building a retaining wall for a backyard. They didn't do a great job of cleaning up and I had to make sure thay they finished the way we had discussed, but overall I am very happy with the work. There was a bit of a hassle with the check payment, where he lost the original check. read more

After this winter's rains, we (my wife and I) finally decided to replace our old (over 50 years), cracked and sagging (multiple pools of water with each rain) driveway and patios. Also include in our plans was a new and wider driveway apron. I obtained multiple estimates and finally settled on A Pete's Concrete to do the work. When I first met Pita, I liked him immediately. He is very personable and impressed me with his knowledge and assurances of what the job would entail including how long it would take, and of course, the price. He arrived on time every day and saw the project through from start to finish. His crew was efficient and professional. Pita kept me informed everyday of the progress made and what was to be expected the next day. I never doubted that the finished product would be one that I wanted. Would I hire him again and recommend him to friends? Yes I would. read more

Don't use this contractor. Pita made an appointment with me on Friday - was a no show. Called me Sunday to meet with me, reluctantly I allowed him to come give an estimate. Pita was very unprofessional and rude. We asked for an estimate on the apron said it was $6100 which includes the permit which he said was $2200. Kept asking my dad and I to follow him to another house so he could show us what he did over there with their apron. We didn't go to see the other house but asked if we could get an estimate on the driveway. Pita responded, "Do you have money for that?" Not a great way to get business. Just because we weren't dressed up doesn't mean we don't have money. Glad he already had other jobs to work on because he won't be getting any business from me. --- Just called me and left me a nasty voicemail cursing me out and threatening me. Similar to other reviews, if you were really too busy just say so. Don't need to call me stupid. read more

I reached out to A Pete's Concrete for a wall I was planning to build. Pita came out within an hour to look at the site and gave me a rough estimate on the spot. Although I did not end up putting a wall up, I was very impressed with the quote I received. Similar to other reviews I read before calling, Pita's proposal was very reasonable, particularly given the size and build of the wall that I was envisioning. I will definitely be calling A Pete's Concrete back with any other concrete or masonry work that comes up! read more

We had some travertine tile in our backyard that needed to be replaced. Out of the 3 contractors who looked at the job, Pita was the only one that stood by his quote. He and his team worked quickly to finish in one day and it looks great. Pita is now my go to for all future masonry jobs. read more
