McGrew Masonry just finished a 7 month massive front yard remodel which included new rock retaining walls, terraces, a massive new driveway and patio with beautiful pavers. Sean McGrew and his crew including George, Steve and Junior were awesome to work with. They were professional and so nice. Their attention to detail and care about their craftsmanship is amazing to see in the results. Sean made suggestions and offered ideas that improved the plans layout, safety and functionality of the massive space. Sean was on site working 99.9% of the time which is often not the case with business owners. Because he was here, communication was great and he oversaw every step of the process. But I have to add that the few times he wasn't on site, his crew worked as hard as if he was there. I can not say nice enough things about Sean and his crew and in fact my neighbors feel the same. They had not one complaint but instead many compliments. We couldn't be happier to have worked with McGrew Masonry and highly recommend them! read more

Our home was in need of quite a bit of hardscaping work...driveway replacement, a redo of the front entryway, add concrete to our courtyard, and improve the drainage on the far side of our driveway. Sean came by and right away, we knew we selected the very best person to work our project. He took time to carefully measure and explain clearly what he thought would work best. His quote for the work came promptly, allowing us to submit plans quickly to our HOA for approval. Our project was unfortunately delayed due to the heavy December rain, but throughout that time, Sean was in contact with us to let us know how he was preparing for our project and setting a date on his calendar when the weather finally cleared up. The project itself went as smoothly as we could have hoped for. Everything was done in a professional and courteous manner. Work commenced promptly as scheduled on each work day, and the workers were all kind and friendly, taking time to answer any of our questions. Sean was on site each work day, and his attention to detail and pride in his work definitely shows! We do not hesitate at all to recommend Sean and McGrew Masonry for any home hardscaping project! We will definitely contact him for any future work we plan to have done on our property. Thank you Sean, and best wishes for continued success!! read more

McGrew Masonry Inc. just finished our new concrete driveway and paver patio in the front yard. They also replaced a section of concrete in the backyard and added a paver seating area in the back corner that we asked him to do last minute. Sean Mcgrew is the best contractor I have ever worked with. There is a reason why his schedule is booked so far out. He does most of the work himself, but definitely overseas the entire project. Sean treated my house and my family like he would his own. They showed up on time every morning and worked hard all day before leaving the job cleaner than they found it. His crew Jorge and Steve were always respectful. We had a few contractors give us a quote for our project, but when I met Sean I knew he was the one to do the job. I am very thankful to him and his crew for the work put in. Nothing but the best. You will get what you pay for. Until he retires, we will not use any other contractor for concrete/masonry. Thanks again Sean! read more

Sean and Matt are truly one of a kind. If you are looking for any type of masonry work stop looking and give Sean a call. I have already done all the research for you. I dedicated 8 months to searching, did 9 interviews, got 9 estimates under my belt. Trust me, you are not going to find better people for your project. Sean had my estimate within 24 hours along with all his insurance and license information, plus references. Being able to look at his past work in person and even contact his pass clients was very important to us. On a side note, I didn't have to ask for this information, he provided it to us. I could tell from this that Sean believes and backs up his work 100%. Sean only does one job at a time therefore he is committed to your project full time. Before my project was started he was working on another job site but he communicated with me weekly to give me updates on his progress and a future ETA. From start to finish his communication with me went far beyond what I was Expecting. Another thing that stands out is that at the beginning of each work day Sean would explain what they would be working on for that day. This was great because I knew exactly what to expect by the end of each work day, it also opened the door for any questions I could have. I had absolutely no issues and no surprises with Sean and his team. They always cleaned up after each day and we're always on time. Oh! They also finished 1 day ahead of scheduled. Do yourself a favor and give McGraw Masonry a try. Thank you Sean, Chavez Family read more

I first met Sean when he redid my parents backyard with a lot of masonry work and pavers. I was in awe at his attention to detail and perfectionism he put into their yard. It has been a few years now and their backyard still looks amazing! Sean was always on time, on budget and extremely clean. That's how I knew when my husband and I bought our new home we needed Sean to help us with our backyard! We bought a large lot that was essentially a junk yard before we moved in and plan to build a barn and put our horses in the backyard. Sean knew exactly what to do to prepare to get our lot flat, level, and graded properly so when it rains the water will drain down to all the correct places. He also built us the most amazing concrete patio. I did not know concrete could even be that pretty! We knew we were in great hands with Sean and every day I look out at that backyard I am so thankful that I hired him! He is extremely knowledgeable and explained everything to us throughout the entire process. He has great instincts and often thought of small details that we as clients would have most likely overlooked! Sean is so many things that sadly a lot of workers today are not. He is communicative, on time, on budget, professional, knowledgeable, and CLEAN. Never was anything left in the back yard, hoses neatly coiled everyday, no trash or water bottles, even brought his own porta potty. We were not moved into the property when he was doing our work, but kept us up to date every day on the happenings at the house. Questions were always answered in a timely manner and he was happy to help and work with other people we had working on the property as well. Every finisher, plumber and barn builder that has come onto the property is in awe of Sean's work! They have all said that he did an amazing job for us and that everything was done CORRECTLY which was so important to us. If I could give 10 stars I would! We love Sean!! read more

Sean and McGrew masonry are the most professional, thoughtful, and talented masonry crew! We have worked with Sean for over 20 years on our homes. Sean, Jorge, and Steve show up on time every day, and leave our worksite cleaner than they found it. His experience and knowledge lend to an amazing product every time. His thoroughness and perfectionistic standards leave us with a comfort that the job will last for decades. Whether it be a new foundation, driveway, brick and stone work, you name it. Sean is like family, we trust him with any project we set out to do, and he blows our expectations every time. You truly get what you pay for with McGrew Masonry. We recommend Sean for his extraordinary organization and attention to details. He just completed our new driveway with pavers and updated the stone work on the front of the house. It was his idea to include a drainage system in the driveway to prevent water from flooding our garage during heavy rains. And he sloped the front entryway to eliminate the 4" step up. The new mow strip was much more than we expected. They removed the bricks we put in over 35 years ago and finished off the flower beds with a nice layer of top soil. They take pride in their work and we hope this is a company you will consider for your masonry project. He also installed the tile around our new fireplace and replaced our dilapidated concrete patio slab in our back yard. All three projects came out beautiful! read more

Mc Grew Masonry, Inc. is the best in this business. Stayed with us the whole time they were on the job. Cleaned up after finishing everyday. Was fast and very efficient with no surprises. They made my new back yard patio, mow strip, grass, drainage system, sprinkler system, BBQ Island, Stuccoed my chimney, raised concrete wall sitting area, and new driveway. I will becoming back for their services when needed in the future. Thanks Sean and Matt McGrew and Team read more

I wish I could leave more than more 5 stars because literally Sean Mc Grew and his amazing team are worth way more!!!! Never in our history of being homeowners (almost 30 years!) have we encountered anything remotely similar to their above and beyond professional work. In all seriousness we are actually going to miss having Sean, George and Steve here. They are on time, clean and extremely talented! Our backyard went from uneven cracked pavement and overflowing drains to a beautiful yard with new drains, planters, and concrete that looks like it could be a resort. I guarantee you don't need to look any further than Sean Mc Grew to find a contractor who will make your dreams come true and at the same time somehow feel like you are not in the middle of construction. Congratulations if you have found his company and consider yourself lucky! read more

I can not speak highly enough of Sean McGrew and his team. His work is impeccable and you can tell that his work is his passion. Sean is very nice, approachable and knowledgeable. Over the years, we have had him back for more are more projects as we remodel. Sean started by refacing our fireplace with brick. Once we saw the quality of his, we hired him to install the brick pavers throughout our house. Since then he has also put in concrete steps coming out our back door, built a small retaining wall and most recently rebuilt the wall we share with our neighbor. Sean was able to match the materials of the section of the wall that was still in good shape and then we had him stucco over the wall to complete the project! As we continue to work on the house, he is our first call for all masonry projects. read more

Sean and his team saved the day! I hired some unlicensed craigslist person to try and save a buck and after two weeks of "work" the guy stopped showing up. I called Sean and he came out that same day to give me a quote and agreed to start work shortly thereafter. The result? After about 2.5 days my entire project was finished and we couldn't be more happy with the work. Sean was PROFESSIONAL, PUNCTUAL and SUPER DETAIL ORIENTED. They do great work and we are very happy!!! Sean McGrew and his team recently finished our front yard hardscape with new planters, walkway and driveway widening. It looks beautiful and we are so pleased! We were impressed by the quality of their workmanship, friendliness and hard work ethic. When we had any design questions or adjustments needed to be made, Sean offered helpful ideas and even threw in a freebie brick ribbon along the grass to accommodate the situation. He really went above and beyond the call of duty by driving all day to Visalia to pick up river rock material from another supplier so they could finish the job on time. We would call McGrew Masonry again in a heartbeat for future projects. read more

Sean McGrew and his crew are professionals. Their work ethic, attention to detail, and the quality of their workmanship leaves nothing to be desired. We are very pleased with the masonry work that they did for us and with the respect they showed for our property and for that of the common property we share with our neighbors. They were prompt each morning and at the end of the day, they cleaned up and stored their equipment so that it wasn't in our way. Just as important as the quality of their work was the attitude they exhibited. Sean, George, Steve, and John were a pleasure to work with. Called McGrew Masonry and got an immediate response. He is very professional and if you want the job done right call McGrew Masonry. The job was completed in the time quoted and was so much nicer than expected. We have a very small yard area and he installed pavers on our patio that had such a slope you could not even sit out and enjoy the yard. He also added artificial turf. A few months ago we decided our entire backyard needed a facelift after 23 years, (including our pool) We had read amazing reviews about McGrew Masonry so we set up an appointment to meet with Sean. Within minutes we decided he was the guy for us. Before they started the demo everything had been taped off, papered, or boarded up to protect our home not included in the demo. Sean's knowledge of all things regarding the project were helpful and educational with every question I had (and there were many) patiently explaining everything I asked His skills of his trade are precise and detailed beyond measure The respect of person and property is like no other that I have ever seen The crew was dependable, honest, friendly, on time every day and so much more They cleaned up every day before they left Our dog looked forward to seeing them every morning for her daily pets We felt like they were family and were sad when they were finished We will for sure use Sean again for any future projects The McGrew Crew are simply the best!!!! What great work Sean does. Had a front porch done with slate. Also had the front of my house done with the stack stone veneer. Also had a severe build up of water on my back patio. Sean suggested a French drain and boy was he right! It took care of the problem instantly. His crew is awesome also they go above and beyond what is asked of them. Always left my place very nice. I could go on and on but the bottom line Sean delivers on what he says. Hard to find the old-school workmanship these days. Would highly recommend him for any of your Masonary needs. read more

McGrew Team I just finished our backyard concrete patio (10 yards) and planter wall. When you're trying to find a good contractor, it's always a gamble unless you have a good referral. By far the BEST company you can hire for the job. Sean and his team are top quality workers, whose goal is to ensure the job is done right without any shortcuts. We hired Sean and his team to come in and re-do a project completed poorly by another company. Unlike the prior, Sean listened to our concerns and our vision. He did not try to force us into something we didn't want, but instead worked with us to ensure our needs and wants were met. Sean is a very dedicated man, who puts his heart into each of his projects. I was referred to him by multiple people, who each praised Sean for his quality work and dedication to his job. It was impactful to see Sean, the owner of the business, grinding and working with his team to ensure the project was done right compared to just overseeing it. That can tell you a lot about how he runs his company, which is full of pride and dedication. There is no doubt that I will be hiring Sean and his team in the future to help with upcoming projects. I cannot speak more highly of him, and would most definitely recommend him. You will not regret it. read more

We had Sean and his team take out a deck and replace it with a stamped concrete patio and a beautiful custom corner fireplace ,in our backyard. First of all, you may have to wait for awhile before he can get to your job, but he was honest about his timing right up front. Believe me , it is worth the wait. Sean and Matt are meticulous in their work and do quality Masonry. Everyday they show up and work hard (6 days a week), what a fantastic work ethic. They always leave the job site clean and picked up at the end of each day. The end result, I love my beautiful fireplace and patio. I cannot give them any higher praise.
