If you need any concrete work Marty is your guy. Marty and his crew were very attentive to our requests, as well as providing alternative solutions to our ideas that would be more cost effective. They were more than communicative, punctual and flexible with timing. I highly recommend Marty and JM Superior Construction. read more

We had a front patio built. They were quick and cleaned up well. We get may complements on our patio. We got a referral from my brother. We both highly recommend them. We recommend them to all our friends. Great guys and a fair price. read more

Marty from JM was one of the first to respond to me. He gave me a quote based on a single picture I sent through yelp. He showed up the very next day with his crew and knocked the job out. Attention to detail and workmanship was great. He stuck to his price although it was probably a little more intensive than he had expected. They revamped my fireplace with a nice stone veneer and did a dry stack fitting the stone together beautifully! read more

Out of 5 consultations, I decided to go with Marty because he was the only one who explained everything in detail and was very professional. JM Superior Construction replaced our broken down wood fence with a block wall as seen in the attached photo. They were professional from the beginning. They removed and took away the old fence, cleaned up the construction debris and removed the excess dirt. The construction took 12 days from start to finish and would have been quicker if there were no inspections. The crew was expert and polite. They did not put a lien on our property. The cost was reasonable and way below what the constuction companies that advertise in the weekly pamphlets charge. read more

Marty and his crew from JM Superior Construction recently did cement work and demolition for me. He did exactly what was in my list of requirements to an expert level. The job took 3 days. He did a great job for me and I highly recommend him. read more

Extremely happy with this company. Fast response to fix a falling/broken wall. They could have said I needed a 'completely ' new wall, but was given a suggestion to replace part and repair remaining. They went above and beyond after finding some unseen repairs that needed fixing. They did additional repairs at no cost !!!! Wall looks fantastic, workers were fast and friendly and cleaned up thoroughly afterwards. Highly recommend them. read more

I highly recommend Marty and his crew for your next project! Marty poured about 1300 sqft of concrete for our backyard and we couldn't be happier with the finished product. They worked quickly and efficiently and got the project done with great workmanship. He was patient with us when we were being a bit pedantic about design and for that alone he deserves 5 stars. We'll definitely use him again for our future projects. read more

JM Superior Construction has done an awesome job of taking out our old beat up driveway and concrete around the garage. We now have a solid beautiful concrete all the way around with an extension and new wraparound steps. Marty and his crew were knowledgeable and very hard workers who took pride in their work. A definite company to hire. Actually, they start work on a bathroom addition pretty soon. Thank you. read more

We write very few reviews but Marty and his crew deserve 5 stars. We have hired Marty for 2 separate projects over the last 4 months and he and his team did an amazing job for both of them. The first project was a concrete slab for a boat/RV. It seems strange to say for a concrete slab, but Marty's attention to detail was impressive. We added some special designs, gate posts, and higher PSI concrete all because of having an open conversation and Marty willing to listen and provide feedback. The second project was 2 piers to add character to the front of the house. This required a different level of detail and finesse from the driveway and they did an even better job. It's rare for a contractor to think ahead for a project and make recommendations based on your individual needs, but Marty does that extremely well. He communicates and does what he says he's going to do. His crew is very nice, and they always do a great job cleaning up. Lastly, I manage people in my career and have seen many different forms of leadership. Marty treats his team with respect and doesn't manage his team like a "boss" but rather a peer. Marty also had no issue getting his hands dirty and working side by side his team. These little details matter and you can tell that his crew respects him and he gets a better result in the project. This is a human skill that goes way beyond construction and one of the primary reasons we will always use Marty for all our masonry projects in the future. read more

I highly recommend Marty and his crew. His team did everything that I wanted. They were prompt fast and did an excellent job in their work. JM was quick to respond to my quote request on Yelp. Out of the 3 quotes I received I felt Marty was able to explain everything in detail and gave me a reasonable price. Marty and his crew showed up everyday until the job was completed and cleaned up and hauled away all the junk I was unable to! Now my family is able to use this side of the house which was unusable before. read more

We needed a large amount of concrete poured in our backyard, setting it up for an above ground pool. There was quite a bit of earth, mulch from the playground that used to be there, grass, rocks, bricks. Marty not only came in much lower in his price quote than the other contractors, but he went above and beyond what he quoted me for. He moved everything. He removed the old brick paver patio and path. He ran an electrical pipe and water pipe to the other side of my yard for the pool...and this was his thoughtful idea and he didn't ask me to pay any extra for it. He cleared everything away when the project was done and left our backyard looking great. I've already recommended Marty to other people and will continue to do so. Great customer service, amazing work ethic, and very professional and high quality work. read more

Marty and his guys are awesome and easy to deal with. After going thru multiple bids for the job, decided to go with them. First they do not require any outrageous downpayment to guarantee dates, next they're work ethic are excellent (always arrive 0700 in the morning to start) and they finished the whole job in 2 placing and laying foundation for whole back yard. The project was awesome and I would definitely recommend them for concrete project to anyone. We wanted to get our front yard redone which included demoing and hauling away old driveway, front walkway, a planter wall and a light tower. We then wanted new stamped concrete, and 2 new light towers with some stacked stone work. After getting quotes from 3 companies we decided to go the Marty and his team at JM Construction. Marty's quote came in slightly lower than the other 3, but what set Marty apart was his communication. Marty was scheduled to do the bid around 4 pm. As his job he was working on went late, he texted me to let me know he was running late. Once he came and looked over the job, he emailed me the bid 24 hours later. Once we decided to go with Marty, he came back out later that week to discuss the details of the job. He was able to give us some recommendations and we set a date for the demo. Demo day - Marty and his team of about 8 showed up at 7 am as planned. They were able to demo, hall away everything and set up the job to pour the concrete in one day. Pouring was going to take place the next week. Throughout the week, Marty sent out his team to continue to water and prep the area for pouring. The concrete was poured and the light towers were set up in one day Marty and his team spent 1 more day at the job stacking the stone on the lights, setting up the electrical for the lights and mounting the lights. Marty and his team did not do the sod for the job. We have a gardner and we wanted to give him that job. He was able to help on that job with setting up some piping for the new sprinkler system. I would highly recommend Marty and his team at JM Construction for the communication, attention to detail, and promptness in completing all parts of the job. Please see pictures for the amazing work. We will be using Marty and JM Construction for all our construction needs. read more

I used JM Superior to do some sealing work to my pavers. Marty responded to me quickly, gave me a more than fair price, and stuck to it. I'll definitely be reaching out to Marty and his team again in the future. read more

One year later review: We are still super satisfied and the completed project exceeded our expectations. Marty and his team were amazing to work with! Marty is very personable and goes above and beyond to serve his customers. From day one, we could tell that he knew exactly what he was doing when he identified a dip in our backyard that caused some flooding during the rainy season without us mentioning it. We wanted to upgrade our backyard with cement, artificial grass, and patio so that our family and friends could enjoy quality time in the backyard. The quality of work was amazing and a year later the upgraded backyard still remained the same. We would definitely work with him again if we had any other home upgrades. read more

After getting quotes from 3 different contractors, I asked Marty to come over and take a look at my garage remodel. Not only was his quote super competitive, he also could start the project quickly which was important for our family. Marty and his team we're absolutely unbelievable! They were consistent, friendly, communicated proactively, and most importantly did very high quality work. Marty's customer service is top notch. Our project took roughly 3 weeks (in line with his 2-3 week estimate) and multiple times per week during the project he would call at night to check in, make sure we we're satisfied, and walk us through what would be happening over the next few days. This level of communication is hard to find with a lot of contractors and is much appreciated. Thanks Marty and team! read more

I am a comercial general contractor and do concrete work in downtown LA all the time but I needed someone to do the work on my own house. I am a very discriminating customer. I have to tell you that Marty was responsive and very good at both installation and the clean up. Most contractors leave a mess when they are done but there was very little evidence they were even there except for the excelent concrete work that they left for me.
