Love this place! This restaurant is so consistent with their food and I love that! The first time we ate here we only did take out which can be a hit or miss at places, but it was excellent! Everything was correct, with extra sauce, napkins, & utensils if you want. We just finally dined in and I tried the Tapsilog and it was delicious!! I loved the steak and the egg together. So good!! When we got takeout previously, My mom raved about the burger here- she's picky and hard to please at times so I had to try it and I must say it is delicious and a great option even for breakfast! Restaurant has very cute decorations, plenty of seating, food came out quickly, & the staff was very attentive. I wish I knew who our server was, I can't remember her name, it was last Saturday in a little back room and with brown hair, anyway she was super nice and had some regulars in that loved her too! This is a great place to take the family for breakfast and brunch!

Gross

Ate here with my mom about a month ago for Sunday brunch. Although it was terrible, I originally was not going to write a review because I usually try to support local business. A parking lot altercation with the owner made me forgo that rule. To start the food was gross. Eggs tasted like powder and the steak was leather. I would be happy with this if it was a free meal, but it was extremely over priced for what you get. Coffee taste like folgers but somehow worse. Wish I could give this a 0/5. save your money and get a better breakky at Wawa across the street.

I have been here a few times now and I am NEVER disappointed. My daughter brought me here & it is easy to see why she loves it so much! The food has amazing flavors! Fresh. Vibrant. Nice sized portions.. I could go on & on! Plenty of parking and clean bathrooms Why haven't you visited? Thank you so very much for a pleasent & mouth watering meal every time! It is very precious time with my daughter & I am grateful for a superb place to go & catch up with her & her husband! ((( thank you )))

Garlic Fried Rice - The Real Breakfast of Champions Filipinos have a lot of trump cards, but morning cuisine was a hand I thought the Hoosiers had. I'm not saying this beats your traditional 2x2x2 or gravy laden plate, but A2Z's splash of Oceanside removed the very notion of cortisol from my system. Don't worry though, service remained the Midwest nonchalant we all know and love, believe that. It's a must to kick things off with some fried biscuits for the table. I'm firmly a savory guy, but a sampler of hot cinnamon sugar dough deserves the play. Following this up with some marinated Tapsilog steak strips felt akin to a well-timed no-look one-two passing combo. Seamless and sexy. Could the portions have been larger? Absolutely. But coming off of Thanksgiving everything feels too small. Just a growing boy finding his way in the world, can you blame me?

Wow. What a find. If you are looking for a local place with all kinds of atmosphere and fantastic food this is your place. Came here the morning after a the Sammy Hagar concert and it was fantastic. I had the low carb plate. The eggs were perfect. My son had the A2Z sandwich and it was flavorful. The service was very good. He was helpful and my Cody never went cold. This is a can't miss. Highly recommended.

Daily/weekend specials- the Island Burrito was great!

I'd say this is one of the best cafes around Indy. The owners are very friendly and work with the staff and socialize with patrons. Food is unique: Polynesian / American blend and everything is always sooo good! If you're looking for a change from the ordinary, GO HERE.

I wanted to go here because of the Hawaiian items on the menu, specifically the spam musabi. When I arrived at 12p on a Sat, they were packed! I had to wait about 3 min just for a seat at the bar. I noticed on the menu that it said the spam musubi was available in limited quantities, so I was surprised when they said they still has some. I ordered one spam musubi, one Ala carte French toast (2 pieces) and a POG to drink. The musabi was good, but I felt like it had too much rice. The flavoring of the spam was overpowered by the rice. The POG was mostly orange juice. But the French toast was good. And the service was good too. I don't know of I'll be back. I was a bit disappointed. The items are definitely better in Hawaii.

A friend and I have decided we want to "eat through the alphabet," so of course our kick off restaurant needs to be A2Z! I had actually never been there but knew they recently moved to a new location on 96th and reopened March 1. The atmosphere is very mom and pop, a little cluttered decor, honestly looks like they have been there for years rather than just (re)opened. Our waitress was very friendly and kept telling us how they were a mom and pop shop. They were still doing a limited menu, but still plenty of options. We had the fried dough, I had the california omelet, and my friend had fish and chips. The food was good. My omelet was very well stuffed. The fish and chips seemed a little lesser. For the atmosphere, it is a little pricy by my standards. We split the bill, I got the 5 dough bites, omelet and a diet coke. Plus tip was $30. But yes, I would eat there again, especially as they build their menu back. #yum #ReviewsByRL

Have always wanted to stop by for breakfast and was not disappointed! Service and staff were top notch, and the traditional Hawaiian Loco Moco took me back to the North Shore! Such a great vibe ... can't wait to visit them again at their new place just west of their current shop on 96th. Definitely check them out, and eat local! Mahalo & Aloha!

Specials are special.

Same great staff, same cool space, same open kitchen where a party of one like me can grab a counter seat and watch the chefs do their thing. I've honestly always enjoyed that part of the experience. Today I had the avocado toast with feta and an egg on top, and it totally hit the spot. Earlier this week I tried one of the newer menu items -- fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy, plus a sample of jalapeño cornbread and Asian slaw. Incredible comfort food. And as someone who normally isn't much of a slaw person, I was surprised by how much I loved it. They also tried to tempt me with the roast beef special, which honestly looked great, but at 10:30 in the morning I just couldn't fully commit to roast beef yet. Maybe next time. The new name is a nice tribute to the owner's mother, Arleen, but thankfully it still feels like the Milktooth so many of us have come to enjoy over the years. I will cut some slack on the service, however - I arrives after what seems to have been a very atypical rush of Journey fans who inundated the place before heading to Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The staff seemed a bit rundown and slap happy - not really attentive to the bar where I sat. I waited a bit long before I was greeted with a menu, waited awhile with an empty glass, waited with my food pushed away before it was cleared. No one asked if everything was okay even though most of my food was untouched. The food... my salad (house greens) was a great little salad! I say this despite finding a hair on the plate when I was about 2/3 through. My mussels and fries were not great. The fries were mid - they tasted kind of overdone or as if the oil were old. The mussels were actively bad. The portion (an app) was pretty small. There was hardly any broth/wine and they weren't piping hot. Also, they were actually not tasty and the texture was rubbery. They remained in front of me, uncleared, even after I closed my tab. They did not smell good. I don't anticipate being sick but I do anticipate being hungry.

We were greeted right away and looked over the menu a bit before ordering. My husband ordered the country breakfast with chicken (definitely the way to go) and I ordered the cheesy jalapeño grits with bacon. We each got a cup for water and I ordered a coffee, excited because I saw ahead of going that it was self-serve (like at Cafe Patachou where I can get as many coffees as I like without having to wait for our server to come check on us first). However, the self serve coffee excitement was short-lived after seeing that they only offered half and half as creamer (I'm lactose intolerant) and the two coffee carafes were not labeled for what was inside (decaf? medium roast? you'll never know!) and then one was completely empty and never refilled during our visit. The water station also was not ever refilled during our visit, so we were not able to get refills after filling up our cups the first time. It took a couple of tries to find a table we could sit at because you seat yourself, but several had not been cleaned after other guests left and had food and drinks spilled on them. There were definitely enough staff members there to be able to clean them in between customers, so we weren't sure why they were left that way. We ended up sitting in the middle of the room towards the front, across from the clown art wall, which made for interesting conversation as we looked through everything. When the food came out I was impressed with the portions, but I had no flavor whatsoever to my cheesy jalepeno grits. The egg and bacon were good, but not enough to make it a good dish and I would not order it again. And I love savory breakfast and grits in general, so it was a real bummer. My husband's dish was worth the visit though. It was a huge portion size and we honestly would just split it if we came back and ordered it. It was so savory, seasoned perfectly, and juicy. One of the best breakfast dishes I have tried recently! I really debated between 3-4 stars for this, but my dish was a flop, the lack of cleanliness for the seating area, the lackluster self-serve coffee station, and not refilling the beverages ultimately scored a 3 star review for me. I would come back and try something else though, or split the country chicken breakfast because it was really good. Hopefully next time the beverages won't be empty!
