Daisy bar is one of those places I've been meaning to go for a while, and now that I have, I won't want to go anywhere else. The welcoming, open space is in the factory arts district, so you can make a whole day of it - go to MVMT house for a workout, get lunch at Daisy Bar, and do some shopping at Salt & Ash. I went for brunch during the week and wanted to get some work done, so posted up at the bar with a vanilla latte (amazing) and ordered the breakfast sandwich with bacon added (phenomenal). Bar service was excellent and I'm at an age where I appreciated that the barstools had backs to them. Ordinarily, you can grab a menu to peruse, find a seat, and then order at the counter when you're ready (and linger as you please, returning to the counter when you're ready to close out), but bar seating was full service. I thoroughly enjoyed the Veggie Breakfast Burrito with what seemed like a homemade, spicy red salsa as well as broccoli, feta, red bell peppers and crispy home fries (inside the burrito). The Fried Egg sandwich comes with pickled onions, crunchy sunflower seeds, avocado and a great value for a hearty meal in the heart of downtown adjacent to the BottleWorks District. The decor is adorable! There is also a casual, cute bar and great drink selections! Self service approach (after you order, they drop the food off at your table but they have water, utensils & napkins available for you--Kind of like Flower Child in Nora). Definitely hipster vibes. Plenty of open spaces to fill across from Center Point Brewing. LOTs of construction going on in the surrounding building at the up and coming Factory Arts District. We stopped at Daisy Bar yesterday during First Friday at the Factory Arts District. This had been on my list for a while to try. This place was also recommended to us by a friend. They were pretty busy when we got there and had no open seats on the patio as it was a pretty day in Indy. We were fine with the interior seats. We were seated and within 5 minutes our waiter was at the table to explain things and get our cocktail order. We asked about the cocktails and he explained the flavor profile on the two we were asking about and he was spot on. We did enjoy the cocktails. I ordered the Frooty Buffalo and my friend ordered the Prickly in Pink cocktail. Mine was a little more tropical and hers was a little more citrus forward and that was what we were looking for. Our waiter explained the menu to us as one side has small plates and the other side is more of a full meal. We placed our order, I ordered the off menu Cauliflower dish and my friend ordered the Charred Broccolini Caesar and the Robuchon Potatoes. My cauliflower dish also came with a side of sticky coconut rice. The cauliflower dish had an Indian spice and sauce it was a bit too spicy for me although the flavors were excellent. I tried my friends charred broccolini and it was really good as well. These dishes came out to us really quickly I was pleased with the service level. The best thing that I ate though were the two side dishes, the Robichon potatoes were so smooth and creamy and delicious and I usually don't like creamy potatoes I usually like lumpy potatoes and the sticky coconut rice I will be eating for lunch today as I had a little bit of it leftover. We both ordered the Mille Fuille for dessert and we both agreed that that dessert was a miss. It was way too dry. Next time we will try Cookie n Milk. Definitely one of the top five meals I've had in Indy. We came in on a Saturday night around 6:30, and were sat right away, outside at that on a beautiful sunny day. Our server was on top of it throughout the night. My only qualm with the outdoor area is the booth we were at is a two top, and there is a four top about two feet away- we could hear all the conversations down to the word next to us, and most likely vice versa. We started off with the pimento cheese. The bread was crispy, and the kimchi on top tasted authentic. We then transitioned to the birria mandu- the sauce was a little salty which I liked, and the mandu was flavored. I appreciated the pickled onions with it. We then got asparagus- probably our least favorite part of the meal. The asparagus was crunchy, the sauce was a nice touch, but the price for what we got seemed a little excessive. We split a burger and half chicken for our mains. Probably my favorite burger in all of Indy. The half chicken breading was thick, the sauce was sweet, and the mashed potatoes it came with were creamy. I could do without the broccolini on top- I didn't see how it goes with the vibe of the rest of the meal. I had an Oaxacan daiquiri as well. It was strong but not particularly overpowering. We ordered takeout for lunch and this was one of the besttt burgers I have ever had in Indy. My friend advised me to skip this spread and ask for it on the side because it has a little spice to it but she loves it! I would definitely recommend omitting the spread if you're sensitive to spice like me. The fries were so tasty as well! Truly one of the best burgers in the Indy area, if not the best. Wow! What an incredible place! I have been for dinner and breakfast and both were an out of this world experience! The staff are kind and knowledgeable. The decor is so fun and cool (can't wait to sit on that amazing patio). This was my first time here so I wasn't fully aware of the process. There was a line at the counter(which is right at the entrance) so I joined the line assuming it was to wait to be seated, it was not lol. It's a sort of self-service style. You choose your own seat and also gather your own water bottle and glasses for your group. There are menus near the front and you place your order at the counter(or you can go sit with your menu first until you decide your order which i highly recommend if you're a newbie). I was in the Factory Arts District for an Indy Film Fest Event. I decided to arrive early so that I could check out the growth of the area along with some of the new shops. High on my list was a visit to Daisy Bar. I was definitely pleased. I entered through the inside of the Factory Arts, an opportunity to wheel through the hallways and check out what's soon to arrive. I knew I was getting close to Daisy Bar, because I could see the crowd and I could glimpse their wonderful decor. I entered and was immediately confused. Do I sit (Okay, I'm in a wheelchair. Technically, I always sit.)? Do I go to the counter? What do I do? I even found their menu a little confusing, because it seemed to imply that food ended at 3pm, though I know they're open late and serve dinner. An employee offered me a paper menu (I was clearly straining my neck to see their wall menu). I started to get a grasp on how things worked. The ordering line seems a bit disorganized (to the point that I actually left the first time because it was clear people were just jumping ahead of me while I considered the menu). That was a bit of a turn-off. However, after a bit I returned and things were calmer and more organized. The atmosphere is busy, though not overwhelming. The decor is warm and welcoming. This seems ideally situated in Factory Arts (newer section), though it's also super close to the Monon Trail. I know there's outdoor and indoor seating, however, I didn't really get a chance to check everything out. I had no trouble as a wheelchair user entering from the inside, however, I'll note I parked down by Centerpoint Brewery - not a long distance, but it's also not short. Daisy Bar serves Calvin Fletcher coffee (yay). They have a breakfast/lunch menu that ends at 3pm followed by a dinner menu. They do catering, and they have space rental. I really wanted to try the Bistro Club, however, I arrived about 20 minutes after the lunch menu was done. I opted for grilled chicken wings that were delish - I wanted to try the Daisy Bar Burger, though I was eating somewhat gently since I had plans afterward. The menu seems to cater to all dietary needs and preferences. I didn't get as much time here as I wanted, but I'll no doubt return. Now that I know the routine a bit more, I should be able to avoid that initial turn-off and will likely end up forking over that fifth star. For now, this is a very comfortable four-star experience for me. read more

I have now been to Daisy Bar for breakfast, lunch, and dinner - so I feel that I am genuinely qualified to give a review. All in all, I really love this place. Their food is innovative and interesting but at the same time not pretentious or fussy. At brunch/ lunch, you order at the counter (I'm never really a fan of this if I'm paying $18 for a sandwich) and it feels more like a casual cafe. I will say while I really enjoyed the brunch, I think their dinner menu really shines. Great appetizers and main dishes and some really cool stuff on the dessert menu. Casual, but very cute place; order at the bar-top and seat yourself. Egg sandwich with bacon was the star of the show. Chili oil sesame sauce added great flavor and crunch. Will order every time. You can grab a paper menu while waiting online, order at the counter, have a seat and they will bring it to you. They also bust the tables afterwards. So, everything we ordered turned out to be spicy, which surprised us. The chopped cheese, the pimento, the biscuits and gravy, the french fries... It all had varying levels of spice. Given how much I love La Margarita, it only felt right to check out Daisy Bar and I'm so glad I did. Tucked into the new and upcoming Mass Ave area, it's the perfect little spot to pop into and unwind. I ordered the Matcha Limeade and WOW... so refreshing. Bright, vibrant, slightly sweet, and just the right amount of unique. One of those drinks you keep thinking about after you leave. This area is still under construction, but my drink was worth it. They are located inside the Factory Arts South building, where Mass Avenue ends and then resumes. Once the renovations are complete, this will be a nice area. Speaking of surprises, when I thought of the word bar, I had no idea they served breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Daisy Bar is located inside the renovated arts factory at the north end of Mass Ave. serving breakfast and lunch (order at the counter - often very busy!!) and dinner (not as busy and served at table). Owned by La Margarita and the dishes are incredible and hearty. Very lighthearted and airy feeling in the restaurant with some bar seats of course. The highlight of our night was the amazing Korean Fried Chicken - light breading and really crispy! First off, get into these light fixtures this restaurant is in the factory arts building, and currently they do not have a store front sign, but did a great job at placing their signage so you know where to find them! Our cashier/the person we ordered food through, was rude and annoyed with us. It was our first time there, and she was not very welcoming. She seemed like we were inconveniencing her. We got two waters, Chilaquiles and biscuits with mushroom gravy. The chilaquiles were so horrible in my opinion. They had sugar, and red jam and incredibly salty. It was not a combination, and it should not be called chilaquiles. I have been to multiple states in Mexico and have never had anything like this. It was truly disappointing. The biscuits with mushroom gravy were sweet, like there was sugar added, the sauce was also in blobs after a few minutes after we got our food. Their potatoes were decent. The customer service is great and the place is a vibe. I have been there solo and a large group and the quality of service and food exceeded my expectations. My fave brunch meal is the biscuits with chorizo gravy, thrice cooked fries with daisy sauce, with a Matcha Lemonade. On my other visits the chilaquiles, the egg sandwich, fries with 3 sauces were also so very good. They also have good variety of coffee options. There is indoor and outdoor seating. A small group had gathered by the time they opened. The line did move rather fast. I ordered an egg sandwich and an iced maple pecan latte. It is open seating and they bring your food to you. The art and decor is really cute. They have an impressive bar selection . Good to know since they also serve cocktails in the evening. My food came out pretty quickly. The latte was good but nothing special. The egg sandwich had lots of flavor (and was really messy) I would like to come back and try their cocktails. read more
