Thieves has stolen my heart. What a great place to enjoy a spritz while lounging on one of their lovely velvet couches. In fact, they have five different spritzes on the menu, which I love to see. Of course, they have the classic Aperol spritz. But they also have some creative takes, like the rose spritz, which is what I chose. It was very tasty, light and refreshing, and not too floral, which can happen with a rose-flavored beverage. Spritzes are amazing but not enough sometimes, so I also got a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon. Yum! The pour was generous. I kept my drink orders simple this visit, but Thieves has a whole menu full of creative cocktails. What you do when you enter is just sit down, and someone will come by and take your order. But if you're visiting for coffee (because Thieves is also a coffee bar), you can order at the counter. I don't recall if they offer food. This is mostly a place to get drinks. And it's a lovely place to get drinks. Thieves is located in the heart of Broad Ripple, which means that parking is atrocious. After a very long and leisurely Sunday brunch at Cholita Tacos (across the street) our girl gang settled into the cozy and dare I say "seductive" lounge at Thieves. The decor left a lasting impression and is actually quite entertaining and made me want to take ALL the pictures lol. The server was very patient and professional with me and my heathens. Thieves is a new addition to the Broad Ripple landscape taking over the old Starbucks. The ambiance in the evening is dark, comfortable, warm, cozy..great for a group of friends or a couple. For those just looking for a quick drink after work they also have a nice bar and really sweet bar tenders. The drink menu has so much character plus wine and beer. Their cocktails are fancy but also carry a very fancy price...this is definitely not a place for someone in a budget...not sure if they have a happy hour. I love stopping in here with friends for espresso martinis. I haven't been by for coffee in the morning yet, but have it on my list to do so. Cocktails are great and I love the bigger space from the original spot across the street. Service can be hit or miss, but it is a bar, so I guess that's kinda to be expected. We stopped in the other night and they were consistently busy, so we went to order another round. They said they had "already done last call," but they had 100% not announced that to everyone inside, maybe just the people sitting at the bar, and it was an hour to close. I recently visited the new location with my husband for a much needed date night. The previous location was more cozy and dimly lit, but I appreciate the additional space and new seating here as well as the added board games to make me stay longer. We ordered several drinks and a few risqué shots - the result of a few rounds of the card game Uno that had some hilarious consequences. The waiters were great sports as well and entertained our shenanigans. We had so much fun we almost forgot we were new parents, keyword "almost". Epic night out! read more

What a nice vibe in here. I stopped in to pick up materials for the Broadripple passport shopping event that happened here at the end of november 2025. The seasonal coffee drinks sounded amazing and I tried one that was a bit heavy on sweetness, but really made the shopping more enjoyable. I was impressed that this coffee shop was also a cocktail bar at night. The decor is stylish and the mood is comforting. Located on a busy corner where a starbucks used to be and across the street from there previous location. This combination of coffee and drinks should be a success! This trendy coffee shop/ bar is super cute. I stopped in for a quick latte on my way back to work after running an errand and didn't want to leave. The staff was nice and the ambiance makes you want to sit down and have a cocktail. I had an iced pistachio latte with oat milk. It was what you would expect for an iced latte. Such as great space and I love the concept of coffee and cocktails. I was greeted as soon as o walked in. I always like to have a croissant with my coffee and they asked if I wanted it warmed, heck yes!! Sadly it was cold in the middle and doughy, so I wasn't able to eat it all. What was warm was good and not overly buttery. However, I think I'll stick to just coffee. My coffee was great, a little on the sweet side but not too sweet that I needed to add anything. I recently tried out the new Thieves location, which is only across the street from the previous location! I love that they took over the old Starbucks space, and something local went in. I think it's a great idea to serve coffee AND cocktails! It's definitely a concept that Broad Ripple was missing. I went on Sunday morning around 9am, and we were the only customers. We decided to enjoy our drink indoors and we were happy to see so many people come in and try out the new space. I ordered the shaken espresso but plan to try other items on their menu. I do miss that they don't have a patio space anymore, but the inside is so much more spacious. I look forward to going back! read more

I went to the new Thieves location on Thursday October 30th which I made it there by 5:30ish that evening. New Thieves is on the corner of Guilford Ave where the old Starbucks used to be at. Thieves have been at new location since March of 2025. In, the daytime coffee shop then after 5pm it's a full bar. I absolutely love the dark ambiance of the place dark, red, black, coffee posts, comfy seats, a much upgraded place from where it was originally. Thieves is right across from Brothers and Kilroy's great business location, and on the Indygo bus line. The service was slow that evening when sitting out in lounge areas, the Bartenders bring you the drinks, and food. Now, the restroom wallpaper very explicit so I couldn't show those images. Overall, I enjoyed my time at the new Thieves location and will go back soon. Lastly, they do have happy hour specials, events there, brunch. Thieves is great for solo, date or just meeting up with friends. There's no dress code look nice, cutesy, or just dress casual. Make sure you check out new Thieves location. read more

This place has been on my list to try since it opened. Finally had a girls night on a random Wednesday and it didn't disappoint. There was just one other person in there but we arrived when it first opened. The server we had was very friendly and recommended drinks based on my taste profile. It's a small quaint place, not a ton of seating but there is indoor and outdoor seating. The music wasn't my taste but if you like rock and roll it would be fitting. There isn't food however, they do allow you to bring food in and Union 50 is right next door. The only reason I didn't give it 5 is the drinks are pretty expensive. I ordered one drink and with tip it was just about $20, so beware of that but it is a nice change of pace and a good time. read more

The drinks were well made for the price tag. I had a delicious and creative take on a mule. However we waited over 25 minutes to get our order taken. Then after finishing our cocktails waited another 20 minutes to get checked on. We didn't chug our drinks by any means either. Great spot if you have lots of patience. Thieves is a bar off BR Avenue and next to Union Jack. It's primarily a cocktail bar with some beers on drafts and cans. We had drinks here Saturday night. I ordered the espresso martini. It didn't disappoint. There are neon signs with your usual "girls be bad" theme. I loved the Thieves sign with the lights. My drink was great, and the drinks came out quickly. I think the neon signs are out of place, personally and don't gel with the rest of the bar. I like the velvet upholstery for the bar chairs and stools. There is no downstairs, and overall seating is limited. I would say that this is a good place for Espresso martinis. The prices are within range for what I would expect. read more

Thieves is super cute & cozy inside! I swear I've been there before, but also I have zero recollection of the absolutely adorable atmosphere. The cocktails are well thought out and quite yummy. They're strong, but not in an unappealing or imbalanced way. I really appreciated how knowledgeable the staff was about what was in each cocktail and their ability to make informed recommendations based on the individual's stated preferences. My one gripe is the seats. They're jussst a bit uncomfortable. While visually appealing, they lack a bit of comfort. I stumbled upon this little bar from Yelp (so thank you reviewers). I didn't realize it was in the heart of BroadRipple. It's certainly a bit hidden. When I walked in, it was pretty bare, but the atmosphere is perfect for a date! There are cute signs everywhere, the bartender was great, drinks were even better and the photo options in the bathrooms might make you giggle. I'd love to come back and enjoy the outdoor seating. Tens across the board if you are in a bar hopping mood while in Broad Ripple! My friend and I stopped in to thieves after having dinner together and we were so happy we did. There are tons of drink selections to choose from, all fancy and deliciously in their own way. I chose an amazing lemon drop cocktail while my friend chose a champagne cocktail that she explained was fruity, sweet, and just what she needed. I went to Thieves last summer for a girls night out. It was a blast! Thieves is woman-owned, and one of if not the only cocktail lounge in the Broad Ripple area. There are silly neon signs all around the bar, perfect for a photo op! The deck probably doubles the size of the bar and is a fantastic perch for people watching, especially now that all the construction is done in the area. The drinks were dynamite, and if you get hungry you can always grab pizza or a snack from somewhere nearby! Also got great service from the bartenders! read more

Stopped in for a drink after dinner on a date night. We got there at the perfect time and were able to get a table and order a drink from the bar. The inside is intimate and decorated with unique bar lights. They also have a nice sized deck/outdoor area which I'm sure is perfect when it is warm out. We got a whiskey and an impeached. The impeached was a nice refreshing mix that reminded me of a peach tea. The whiskey was whiskey but we were surprised that they didn't have Woodford. The alternative was solid but I can't remember the name. By the time our drinks were gone the place was filling up and we decided to go but I will definitely be back to try another tasty concoction. read more
