I've visited this shop several times while in the area shopping, dining and walking along the Monon Trail. The cafe is very chill and is a great place to work, enjoy a drink, people-watch, and chat with your friends. Their signature drinks are delicious, and I haven't had one that I didn't like. They offer a variety of coffee-based beverages as well as smoothies, baked goods and juices. The staff are always very upbeat and friendly. On the outside of the business, I noticed a Public Access AED SaveStation. It is sponsored by Java House and several other companies and is located directly on the side of their building. "You have the power to save a life" is the slogan and there are instructions listed on how to use it. I thought this was pretty cool. read more

There is street parking only and I walked a couple blocks to get there but I really enjoyed that this location was right along the Monon Trail. There's plenty of indoor seating and a few tables outside too. I got the Honey Baby drink and Bacon & Cheese Eggs Bites. Both hit the spot. Java House is a new favorite of mine....I went four times within 72 hours....thats how much I liked! Convenientally located off the Monon, this place is great for breakfast, drinks or anything in between. I tried a hot latte once but the real star is the cold brew here. They have a lot of fun, sugary drinks, I'm usually a purist with black Americanos so I decided to live a little and get cold brews otherwise. Even with half the sweetness, they were still tasty! Most of the staff was friendly, minus a salty hipster too but don't let that deter you. This place is great! read more

Java House broadripple is a comfortable coffee spot for meeting a friend, working remotely, or just grabbing a quick coffee to go. They have lots of coffee options, smoothies and juices. Most beverage are anywhere from $3-6. They have quick bites like wraps, egg bites, bagel and muffin sandwiches. I love that it's located right off the Monon so you can stop in and get a cold brew and continue your walk. Always excited to try something new here. They have seasonal drinks too which keep the menu fresh and we appreciate that! Today I tried the maho with coconut milk, dark chocolate, topped with coconut and their whip cream. Delicious. I will probably get next time without the fresh coconut on top. But flavor is great! Egg bites taste a little bland, but they feel healthy!!! Lol perhaps the bacon ones are better. My Indy bestie and I had a very last minute opportunity to catch up and she lives on the opposite side of town where I'm from. I asked her to pick something relatively in-between us (B-Rip FTW) and good for her kiddos. Logistically it is more difficult for me to travel from the southside to Broad Ripple anymore BUT gives me a chance to see what's happening in/around my old digs. Parking is still the same... not that great. But gives a good excuse to walk along the Monon Trail! This one is close to her office and sometimes she will telework from here-- there's plenty of space for that or if you just want to chill. Java House is a local chain that focuses on cold brew, so their coffees will tend to be more sweeter than standard fare. The barista working that day was super nice - he walked me thru the menu, offered to give me samples of their 4 blends, and was patient with the kiddos when one of them wanted to order a Cake Pop by himself. They are fairly dairy-free friendly but do not have dairy-free creamers or whip. The Workaholic is one of their staple drinks, created when the brand was starting out. It comes with almond milk (yay!) and I was able to get no whip. The barista was concerned if I had an allergy after I also asked to not put cheese on my breakfast bagel sandwich (love me anything Everything Seasoning!). I do like that Java house maintains its consistency and quality across different coffee shops and that pretty much shows in the quality of their coffee, the overall ambience. I ordered pumpkin cold foam Brew and it was smooth, creamy, with a hint of pumpkin and maple. My to go order took less than 3 minutes despite the coffee house being busy at 4pm and I was well out of my way in about 5 minutes. In terms of food, I ordered a sausage egg sandwich and a hot Workaholic (medium maple almond latte) and I was impressed with both! The sandwich was toasted and flavorful and the coffee was delightful without being overly sweet. In terms of service, the baristas are so quick! By the time I got all my things out to study at the bar, my drink was already ready. The space is cozy with Christmas decorations and a classy wood / brick interior. Gives me industrial chic vibes. As a girlie who always is looking for a good study spot, the lighting at the bar was warm and didn't cast weird shadows as I was taking notes. With an extensive menu of complicated drinks (who isn't enticed by something as exotic as watermelon-cucumber-mint lemonade?), it's hard to get everything right. I was instantly allured by Java House's seasonal menu, with options like s'mores lattes and pumpkin pie cold brew. I chose the iced "bonfire brew" which was supposed to be a "dark chocolate and marshmallow latte." Unfortunately, what I received was a cup of chocolate milk--I could hardly taste the coffee. The "marshmallow cold foam" missed the mark as well, it had no flavor and added nothing to the drink. However, I took a sip from my friend's drink, the "fireside flannel" (a maple latte with butterscotch cold foam), and was pleasantly surprised. It was sweet, smooth, and gave lots of fall vibes. I wish I ordered that instead of the bonfire brew! Also, my friend and I came for brunch at around 12pm, and they were already out of most of the breakfast items on the menu. I ended up getting a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich, which was a little overpriced at over $5, but I did enjoy it, especially the inclusion of the caramelized onions. I was first introduced to Java House a couple years back and it quickly became one of, if not my favorite, coffee shops in Indy! The iced Tedster is my go-to. The coffee itself is smooth and flavorful, next time I visit I hope to pick up a pack of the K-Cups that they sell so I can get some essence of the Java House experience in my own home. I really love Java House!!! The broad ripple location is so great since it is right there on the Monon trail. So convenient to hop on the trail after grabbing a coffee. Another think I like about the broad ripple location is the great outdoor seating and how they can open the large doors to have a fun indoor/outdoor feel. It seems like this place is a much-needed spot in the Broad Ripple community, because there were people from all walks of life here. I popped in off the Monon Trail for a bottle of water. (Java House is literally steps away from the trail.) They didn't have bottled water when I visited, but the nice lady behind the counter offered to give me a cup of ice water gratis. That was so kind. I bought a chocolate chip cookie just to show my appreciation -- and also because I wanted a cookie, because cookie. The lady warmed it up for me, which was a nice touch. The cookie was delicious. They also offer sugar cookies, scones, bagels and muffins, too. I will have to come back to have some of their coffee! YES YES AND YES Loved Java house!!! What I loved about Java is that it's on the Monon! Perfect to grab coffee and take a stroll on any day. I didn't take a look at the goodies crew but I will next time because I'm definitely coming back. I honestly can't even remember the inside because once I drank from the cup it was OVER! I'm a fan of Java House, and had yet to visit the Broad Ripple location until recently. It's conveniently located right off the Monon Trail, and on a weekday morning, it was busy with (mainly young) people meeting and working on their laptops. I don't like coffee, so I tried the seasonal Sunrise tea drink. It looks like there was only one person working who had to take and make the orders, which meant service was a bit slow. Note, based on where the door is, we noticed a gust of wind each time the door/opened and closed which was a bit unexpected. It was a cold spring day, and my coworker even put on her coat at one time since it was a tad uncomfortable. Parking in this area is always tricky (to me), but it sounds like BRICS parking is available to anyone before 11AM - FYI. read more

LOVE THIS LOCATION! This spot is located in the heart of Broadripple right off the Monon Trail. What a neat spot. So, I have bene exploring Coffee Shops in the city (mostly downtown) but I couldn't call my self an explorer and not come to this spot. It was actually a recommendation from a co-worker so I had to come. For those of you that don't follow my reviews, I have been in search of good coffee shops to work since I am 100% remote, finding something other than my home office is of interest and I imagine it is for others too. That said, my reviews are mostly based on that. I break them down into a couple of sections: Parking: Well, I go early (between 8-8:30) so there is parking within a block distance. I imagine if you try to come later when some of the other places around are open it may be difficult to find parking, especially free parking. That said, I was able to find parking less than a block away. They do not have their own lot but if you are familiar with Broadripple you already know that. Greeting: When I walked in I didn't get greeted by anyone but I think because they are still new they are focused more on getting everyone's order right vs looking at the door. Plus they are pretty busy, so I get it. When you walk in though there is such a vibe that I crave. It appears to be young people with good energy. It feels like a no judgment zone which I love so much. Honestly the feeling you get when you walk in is likely what will make me come back. It is very airy and they have garage doors that were open so you have the outside breeze but it wasn't cold. Seating: A good amount of seating which I like especially when you are trying to find somewhere to work. You hate to post up and take up a seat for a few hours when other people can't find a seat. There are several high top tables which have outlets and regular tables that have outlets near by. They seemed to have thought this out very well. I have a laptop that just won't stay charged long so a coffee shop with plenty of options to charge is very important to me. Music: They do play music like most places. It appears their music selection is like mellow alternative music. Not pop, not R&B, like music with a vibe is the best way I can describe it. More than once I asked SIRI to name that song so I could add it to a playlist. It is also not too loud. I know since people are working remotely people are taking calls and it is just the right volume so you can hear your call with no problem. Coffee: Coffee is good. Priced about what I would think considering the location (around $6). It is not my fav coffee but I think I'm still warming up to the Nitro stuff. I had a Pumpkin something and it was pretty good. Overall I really like this place. Love the vibe, love the music, love the location and like the coffee. :) read more

I'm a huge fan of the Java House franchise, now with its third establishment right in the heart of Broad Ripple. This store is located on the main floor of The Line apartment complex, literally just steps away from the Monon Trail at the corner of 64th Street. What's neat about this joint (compared to the others) is that it has two large, glass garage doors that can be lifted to provide an open-air concept. I really enjoy how simple and to the point the menu is. Pick a size, whether you want it hot, cold or nitro, what type of coffee and what style (black, americano, cappuccino, latte, frappe) and that's it. They also have a limited selection of "signature drinks" for those who want something with a bit more pizzazz. The coffee is delicious, and there is a decent amount of seating for those wanting to stay awhile. But given the great location, this place is pretty popular -- so don't be surprised if most of the seats are taken! read more

Love this coffee shop right off the monon. So cute and nice - especially when they open up the garage style doors on a nice day. It's a perfect spot to hang out or get some work done. I would certainly recommend. Their coffee is pretty reasonably priced - $6 for a specialty. I really like the honey baby (cinnamon and honey). However if you get it cold, all the honey sits at the bottom of the cup because it doesn't get melted by the heat of the hot coffee. Bummer there. Stayed in Indy for work and noticed this copy shop was within walking distance of our Airbnb. Pretty busy for a Saturday morning but was served quickly. Relaxed atmosphere with lots of seating options including outdoor tables. Plenty of outlets for someone planning to work, but would recommend headphones as It was a popular spot. Loved that the coffee was on tap. Enjoyed a "Tedster" coffee and bacon egg bagel which included caramelized onions that completed the taste! There was a mobile order option. I love their creative drink offerings especially the In a Minute latte that is chocolate and cinnamon! A creative and great combo for those of us who have a hard time choosing one flavor haha! In the neighborhood and some friends and I were looking for an easy spot for a cup of delicious hot beverage with indoor seating...and found this spot while driving around. It is right on the Monon so if it is a nice day you can sit outside and people watch, or grab something and take a walk. Inside has lots of fun seating spots but mostly industrial type chairs and tables so no comfy couches. It is open and airy without being loud and you can find spots pretty easily even at a peak time (judging by our experience anyway). I ordered a signature drink of a hot latte honey coffee which was perfect. It was somewhat sweet but not overly so and full bodied. I would definitely try it again. My friends enjoyed their drinks and said this could be our 'normal' meet up spot. I guess that means they also approved! Parking might be a challenge but there is some street parking not too far.
