Came in to grab coffee before a walk through down. I ordered a medium cafe au lait which was bigger than expected. Coffee was delicious, they were serving an Ethiopian roast- dark n rich, just how I like it. Nice environment- I'd come back.
Continue to love this place! 100% get the healthy elephant. It takes like Reese's puffs cereal, but without the guilt. The service is always so quick, and the ambience is your typical coffee house. It's chill, with some outdoor seating on that perfect fall day. If you're looking to get cozy with a friend or a good book and grab some caffeine this is your place

Place was very nice and so was the server/ cashier. Pretty busy too for a Friday AM coffee run. People were on conference calls and meetings in a rather loud establishment. Nonetheless they had plenty to offer and a lot of great seasonal or custom drinks like the Healthy Elephant which is a cold brew with honey and a ton of other ingredients. Also tried their food offerings; breakfast sandwich with egg, a muffin. Took like 15 min to warm up the sandwich, which seemed excessive. But pretty good. Best morning coffee spot we found in the Broad Ripple area. Coffee was on point!
Service was super friendly and knowledgeable. She helped me kind of work through what I was looking for and recommended two of her favorites. I chose the beehive with lavender. Half honey/lavender so the drink wasn't over powered. The music isn't too loud, some places you can't even have a conversation. This is def a place you want to grab your laptop and get some work done. If you're in the broad ripple area, stop by. Parking close right across the street. Don't drive too fast or you could pass it
Always happy to patronize the locally owned spots, and even happier when they make amazing coffee! I needed a place to work outside my home for a few hours, so I dropped in here for a bit. Ordered a soy latte (yay, they have soy milk!) which was ready in a flash. After I retrieved my drink, I noticed they had a small sign indicating that they also offered breakfast sandwiches from Sahm's in addition to their baked goods. I sat at a table facing the ordering counter and was pleasantly surprised to find outlets below the bench seats. Put my earbuds in and got to work. My latte was rich and creamy, yum! This location is pretty busy, and I will say the music they were playing was some amazing classic rock but it was quite loud. Be aware if you intend to work here and take calls. I had a Teams meeting and decided to move to one of their outdoor tables. There was a bit of road noise but with my earbuds in it was fine ((their Wi-Fi worked great, also). Love H&C's Broad Ripple location!
An excellent neighborhood coffee place where folks know your name. I visited on a weekday morning while in town for a conference. I witnessed regulars coming in for their coffee and baristas calling them by their name and carrying on conversation like they have known each other for a while. It's so nice to visit a city and find places like Hubbard and Cravens who take coffee seriously. Not only for they roaster excellent coffee but they do an excellent job making sure the coffee they serve tastes excellent. I just bought a drip brew coffee and i wanted another one after finishing my first cup because it was good. It hit the spot and got me smiling in the morning. The space is ideal for meeting up with a friend or going solo with your book or computer. Not a lot of natural light the further you go back but their is a porch for those who want all natural light you can get. Hubbard and Cravens has a lot the coffee brewing accessories for sale that you would need, like drippers and filers. I'll be at Hubbard and Craven again if I'm in town visiting.
I've been wanting to try Hubbard & Cravens Coffee as I've tried it at other local restaurants. They were advertising a maple and pumpkin seasonal latte. I decided to try the maple latte and the pumpkin cream cheese muffin. Everything was great, but I do wish they had more cream cheese in the muffin. They had plenty of seating, and it was clean.
I've had coffee here many times and it never fails! They always have friendly staff and an inviting atmosphere to sit while you chat with friends, read the Sunday paper or work. Summer is on the way out and fall is coming. This is your opportunity to get yourself a delicious coffee treat and order the carmilla latte and feel all the cozy fall vibes before winter arrives and we don't even know what happened. It's Carmel and vanilla and a naughty little treat you deserve, friend.
Coffee spot better than the regular coffee chains with locally sourced coffee, beans or coffee to-go. The coffee shop just like any other has a super casual vibe, pretty busy on a weekday morning between 10-12pm. The winter specials are on the sweeter side (Eggnog and Spiced Pumpkin Pie Latte)- personally I prefer less sweetness, may work well for the rest. Fresh scones and muffins to pair with coffee. Service is quick and professional, was a good hangout spot on a very rainy day.
I'm always going to choose a local place over a giant chain. The coffee here is so delicious, but let's not forget the tea selection they have available. They have an entire wall with any type of tea you may like. They have barista drinks as well, which I love. During the summer, I'm pretty sure I kept them in business just by purchasing their cold brew shaker almost everyday. I'll be back for sure!
I enjoy Starbucks, but I'm over the flavor. I wanted to try something new and local! You can't beat a yelp search, when I typed in coffee. Hubbard and cravens popped up and I chose to go because it was closest to my office. Located in broadripple, on carrolton ave, it the second group of buildings down from the alley cat, you'll find Hubbard's. There was a good number of people hanging out around 7 which is awesome, lots of conversations and not just screen time. The baristas were very friendly! Let me answer questions, and made some great recommendations based on what I stated I liked. I ended up with a medium roast coffee, I wanted to try something simple before I went back for lattes or other drinks. I loved it! Just the right amount flavor and I add some cream because you know that they say about black coffee drinkers. I'll be back for some more coffee treats!
Perhaps my favorite local coffee shop in Indianapolis! I never go in here and leave without feeling refreshed and ready to start (or continue) my day. I typically do the cold brew, which is delicious all on its own, but adding a little bit of a milk alternative allows me to fall in love all of again each and every time I visit H&C. Is it weird that a cup of coffee can make me feel this way? For anyone looking to do work: there are plenty of table spaces, the outlets however are perhaps not the most convenient but what are you going to do. Free Wi-Fi though! I hope to go back more and more to try their different blends as a take home. Great place, service and quality.

Pleasantly surprised to find a coffee shop with decent parking and a lot of work space in broad ripples! Lavender oat milk latte and coffee of the day with a cinnamon roll! Latte was good, coffee of the day was okay (my partner said it was drinkable but nothing special), and the cinnamon roll was good I just wish they had offered to warm it up. Service was pleasant and quick. The ambiance is a bit too much like a Starbucks for my liking, not much unique character but it does the trick read more

Stopped in to grab a cup of Joe. Maddie (Maddy?) was the barista whom made my iced Pumpkin Pie Latte. She was super sweet upon walking in. Natalie was the other gal whom was busy restocking and cleaning. She too was super nice as well. I've read some of the other reviews and I have to say that my experience was quite the opposite. This location may be experiencing issues with being short staffed so their closing hours may change, but that doesn't mean their quality while open has gone down. I feel like more customers could try a little understanding and patience. I was in the middle of my work day and I chose to be patient and understanding. And you know what? My experience was amazing because of that and these wonderful ladies. I most definitely will make it a point to stop by here when I am in the area. read more

Our favorite Indy Coffee - we miss the downtown location and found this Broad Ripple one during our travels. Tucked away just off the main strip, there was no traffic on our way over early on a Sunday morning. Once inside there was a good line but well staffed and it moved quickly where we found ourselves enjoying our specialty coffees and breakfast sandwiches in minutes. A vibrant cafe in a vibrant community - and plenty of parking nearby. read more
I stopped by this cafe on a whim and am so glad I did!! I happened to be in the area and needed a quick pick me up. The staff was super friendly and there was plenty of seating available. I got both a cappuccino and southwest salad for $10, which is a fantastic price considering the great quality. Normally I try to avoid grab and go salads, but this one was amazing! I would definitely get it again. Even though it was pretty busy, the Wi-Fi was fast and the environment was quiet enough for me to logon and get some work done. I will definitely be visiting again!! read more
Today was my second time here...in 2 days :) My friend and I were looking for a place to grab some coffee and chat on Saturday morning so we decided to check Hubbard & Cravens out. The woman who took our order was super friendly and patient as she answered all of our questions about the different muffins they had (super important questions). I ordered a Mocha Latte and a chocolate chip Muffin and both were fantastic. My friend's blueberry muffin was a tad underdone but her Cappuccino was great. On Sunday, however, my sister and I decided to stop in after church. The experience I had today was much different than yesterday. The staff seemed uninterested and annoyed to be at work. One of the baristas was obviously getting frustrated when people didn't come right up to get their order. I had to ask for a plate for the cinnamon crumb cake and no one asked if we wanted whipped cream on our lattes. I had such high expectations from Saturday than I was disappointed on Sunday. Coffee was still good but the service was very mediocre. read more
Excellent. I tend to find myself gravitating here more and more instead of another chain down the street. Perhaps i got tired of the other place but i think the quality here is on par and i enjoy H&C's seasonal drinks. My first drink here quite impressed me because they had a cold brew infused ice cube! The staff has always been friendly and patient. Sometimes i see all the tables, inside and outside, filled up with people in meetings or doing work. i don't notice a noise problem here. There's free parking on this partial one way street and you'll have to enter from Broad Ripple Ave before turning on to Carrollton Ave. read more

Who knew there was yet another H&C tucked back on a side street in Broad Ripple? Not me (until today). Here's the reason this H&C is on my shortlist of study/work/meeting spots from now on: -I had no trouble grabbing a front row parking spot around 8am. There are a few spots on the street, and a parking lot right across the way that's convenient. -There was no wait, and my hot tea was in hand in under 30 seconds. -I'm not a coffee drinker, so I much appreciate the extensive tea selection. This trip, it was a hot valencia green tea that had a floral/fruity taste. -Lots of space to spread out - the store is larger than you think based on the outside. My only note is I wish they had the whole selection of teas listed somewhere convenient (maybe I'm just not very cognizant and missed it?) but I just picked my tea because it was brewing in the marked pot on the counter.
