Cute cultured classy and cool nitrogen ice cream and cold brew corner in the heart of Carmel, I got a butterscotch cold brew served right up by a lovely staff. She also worked the magic for others making ice cream and many other drinks during my stay. I miss real ingredients like crafted scratch made syrups but the overall taste was very decent. Glad to have generous street parking times, easy access to a variety of top shops on this street, and can easily recommend this place and its chill atmosphere. I personally like Bovaconti and The Well slightly more for this area but can easily support the brews here too!

Thanks to Forum Credit Union bringing this coffee shop to my atte with their Fridays with Forum highlight, I found a great new to me coffee shop! The coffee was excellent and the service friendly- they even add a chocolate covered expresso bean to your drink which was a nice treat. It was easy to find a parking spot out front on a weekday morning to grab my coffee to go. The ambiance was a little "cold" ( the location doubles as an ice cream shop), so if they can get that updated, it will be a wonderful spot to hang out and work.

It's been a minute since I've been here. Pleasantly surprised that there's a coffee shop now inside the Nitrogen ice creame. The 1874 was creamy coffee. 5 Stars. Service was great. However knocked off a star since the matcha was not ceremonial grade. Also not as 'organic' as advertised since they use regular store bought creamers like Ghirardelli creamer. Overall all it's a nice cozy place and ambiance was fine.

The coffee was good, strong pleasant flavor. The cinnamon roll was sparsely iced which threw off the ratio of bread to icing. That was a bit disappointing - especially after seeing the photo on the menu.

This is a great place for ice cream & food as well. Nice staffs too!!! Their ice cream & coffee are all good!

The iced snickerdoodle has a perfect blend. Not too sweet and not too bitter!

The iced snickerdoodle is a perfect, if you don't like something too sweet or too bitter. If you're feeling something cozy - The 1874 if for you! It's very similar to a smores campfire & not overly sweet. If you need a boost of energy but aren't into coffee the Lotus Plant lemonade is for you. It's slightly tart, with the carbonation shocking your tastebuds!! Highly recommend if you in the area and wanting a fun pick me up!

Cute little coffee shop inside an ice cream shop, SubZero. My friend and I walked by and thought to grab a delicious warm coffee while we strolled down the Monon. Surprised they had a pistachio mocha w almond milk! It was on their special drinks menu and I was thrilled to have it. The cashier was kind and patient while I looked over the menu and changed my order so I could grab the special coffee! It was nice to enjoy a delicious cup of coffee while walking the Monon and enjoying a friends company.

A nice little coffee shoppe that serves liquid nitrogen-cooled ice cream as well. I'm not sure where the idea to put coffee together with a subzero ice cream gimmick, but who am I to judge? Had a regular cortado here. I really appreciated the flavour of the espresso. Staff was very friendly and informative about local places.

Looking over other reviews, I think these might be for a different location. I have visited the Carmel, Indiana location a few times at this point. And I think you need a bit of a guide to initially navigate it. 1832 Brew Espresso Bar is located within where Sub Zero Nitrogen Ice Cream has been for a few years now. But even though it is located within an existing business, these are two different businesses with their own operating hours, their own staff, and their own point of sale. So that means you don't have to stand in the long ice cream line if you are just trying to get a coffee. It also means you can't go in at 8am and get ice cream, but who would do that, right? Anyway, onto the coffee. Honestly coffee is reasonably priced considering downtown Carmel. Service is quick and efficient. There's also a small variety of baked goods, tshirts, and mugs. Its just kind of odd because this is still very much Sub Zero's shop and not really a place to lounge around and get coffee, but you can apparently do that.

A great coffee shop in downtown carmel! 1832 shares a space with SubZero ice cream and is a great place to stop for coffee if you're taking a walk of the Monon or spending time in Carmel! I was welcomed in by the manager and employee behind the counter with smiles. There is also parking out front which is convenient if you're planning on stopping in.

OMG - DIRTY SPICED CHAI - WOW!!!! I love that this place teamed up with SubZero to bring you coffee for breakfast or throughout the day! They have delectable pairings to snack on in addition to the coffee! And if you wanna have some coffee with your frozen treat, that's an option too! How clever & I wish more companies could share like this!!

Had a little trouble finding it at first (we didn't realize it shared a space and is inside the Subzero ice cream shop) but really enjoyed our visit! My husband and I stopped here after our usual spot was closed early for the day and we're glad we did. I always enjoy trying new spots, and they had a nice extensive season menu full of wintery drinks. I tried the Gingerbread latte and my husband tried the Salted Caramel Mocha. Both were really great, and we also enjoyed one of the scones. Overall good experience, we would stop here again.

I chose a croissant which was fluffy, flakey and buttery as all croissants should be. I ordered the $5 SPANISH LATTE consisting of Espresso, Sweet Condensed Milk, Cinnamon & Steamed Milk. So good! My friend had the $6 MAYAN MOCHA made with Dark Chocolate, Honey, Cinnamon, & Cayenne. Also well received. My wife tried one of their holiday specials, the white chocolate raspberry. It had a very good flavor. However, it was definitely not hot. In fact, it was barely above room temperature. A stretch to call it even warm. You can order the drink hot or cold and we ordered it hot. I've attached a picture after she had a few sips. She said she had to drink it quickly, before it got any colder, and couldn't wait for me to take my picture. We come here quite often. This is the first time we have been served a drink that was not to temperature. We did notice a lot of new faces for the wait staff. It was also much slower than normal to obtain our beverage. Both these factors may have caused the drink to not be up to par with regards to temperature. We will not let this experience taint us from returning. We will come back again and give them another try!

The first thing that caught our attention was the menu. Everything is "waffled," which sounds gimmicky at first, but actually works really well. I got the Bacon Tater waffle--basically tater tots and bacon pressed into a waffle shape with melted cheddar--and it was way better than I expected. Crispy, cheesy, savory goodness. My wife went with one of the sweet waffles and loved it. You can tell they're not just throwing things together--there's some real creativity in the food. The coffee was just as solid. I went with their house brew, which was smooth and easy to sip. My wife had the White Chocolate Tiramisu latte--sweet but not over the top, with a nice rich flavor. The space itself is cozy and relaxed, with a friendly vibe that makes you want to stay a while. Staff were super welcoming and helpful, which always adds to the experience. What really stood out to me, though, is their backstory. The cafe originally started as a way to support families going through adoption, and they still give back to different causes. It's cool knowing your coffee habit is helping do some good. All in all, Just Love is a great addition to Carmel--good food, better coffee, and a mission you can feel good supporting. We'll definitely be back.

The raspberry pistachio croissant? Oh. My. God. This thing had me in a chokehold. Flaky, buttery layers with the perfect balance of tart raspberry and rich pistachio. It wasn't just good -- it was write-home-about-it good. The kind of pastry that makes you pause mid-bite and question every other croissant you've ever had. The second was a croissant sandwich (I wish I could remember the name!), but the way those flavors paired together? Let's just say it was a full culinary experience. Savory, balanced, indulgent -- you get the hint. Every bite just made sense. Now here's the part that really says something: I grew up on the East Coast where authentic French bakeries are everywhere and the cultural standard is high. I know a proper croissant. And this? This was better. Yes, I said it. We even had the chance to speak with the owner, who was incredibly warm and genuine. He checked in to make sure we enjoyed everything -- which we clearly did, considering we left with boxes to take home. This place isn't just a pastry shop. It's an experience. I imagine having the support/backing from Heartland Foods helps... The environment at this particular location is okay. I've always been confused by the meeting room in the back, which has no heating and cooling. I'll blame that on whoever took the lead on the buildout. Now for the most important question: How is the coffee? I wouldn't call myself a coffee connoisseur but I'd like to consider myself a decent judge of good quality and flavor. My home coffee preparation process includes: grinding fresh beans to a grain specific for my preferred brewing method (usually Chemex or Aeropress), heating the water to a specific temp based on the bean's country/region of origin, patience, etc. Java House's coffee is not good... I'm fairly certain they use "coffee" powder that's dissolved into water (think Nestle instant coffee) then placed in pressurized kegs that are then either heated or cooled before being poured via a tap. This is not a place you go to experience good coffee. I believe Java House appeals more to certain coffee drinkers who enjoy adding flavors, sweeteners, milks/creams, etc. and not those interested in the art of growing, roasting, brewing, etc. If you're chasing quality coffee in the area, I suggest checking out either Indie Coffee Roasters, Illumine Coffee, or Eggshell (if you can figure out Eggshell's hours). If broken down, my rating would be: 2.5 stars for the successes and environment .5 star for the coffee For the Java House folks: If I'm totally off regarding my assumption of how you brew, please feel free to correct me!
