Such a gem! One of my favorite places. This coffee shop is super quaint, with a handful of seats, perfect for getting comfy and working remotely, or just hangout with friends and sipping a latte. The vibe here is very warm, with a colorful interior and a basement area that offers additional tables and quieter spots to work. I love that they make all of their syrups in house. Right now, their seasonal matcha flavors are blueberry, strawberry, mango, and ube. I got the blueberry iced matcha and thought about it the rest of the week...SO good. Big plus was that the blueberry wasn't overpowering - it was perfectly balanced with the matcha. Small coffee shop in the Broad Ripple area with very limited seating. There is a tucked-away nook that comfortably seats about 4-5 people, making it a great little spot if you want a bit of privacy away from the customers ordering. Their menu includes pastries, coffee, lattes, matcha drinks, and their cute Matcha Fruities, which come in four different fruit flavors. I tried the ube flavor, and the packaging was so cute. While the drink looked great, the flavor itself was a bit lacking. It could have used a stronger ube taste. I would stop by again to try another flavor if I'm in the area. read more

Unfortunately the service is very hit or miss. The last time I went in which was in the late afternoon last Saturday, the barista was great! I ordered an iced latte with oat milk. I also ordered a lemon mint refresher, but they were out of mint so it would just be a lemonade. That was fine and I appreciated how she handled the situation and that she knew what Prufrock did and did not have in stock! She was great at communicating when I walked in that she needed a few minutes and then would be able to help me too. Another time I went with my parents on a late morning Saturday. My mom and I both loved our drinks, but we knew what to order. There were multiple people working behind the counter, but the barista taking orders was not friendly or very helpful on this particular day. My dad did not know what to order and asked what tea is refreshing and is one that the barista would recommend. The barista said that the green tea is really popular, but did not ask whether he wanted it hot or iced or give a recommendation for that. The tea came out hot on a hot day where we planning to walk the Monon and check out other local businesses. To be fair, I did ask him if he wanted me to ask for the drink to be remade or to get him a new one as I had overheard his order and also assumed it would be coming out iced. He said it was fine (but then complained on our walk). This was a bit disappointing. There have been times I have walked out after a few minutes of no acknowledgement from baristas here. It is not a cafe that I would want to sit in and work in as a lot of the space does not look workable. The last time I did come in with papers I planned to read in between appointments, I did not want to put my bag on the floor or my papers on a table because both were dirty. The book page wall has seen better days and would benefit from a revamp. I love the outdoor area though and the can tops are really cool. There is a lot of potential here, but when staff appears like they do not want to be there it makes customers not want to be there either. I would also urge the owners to be more receptive to criticism. The TikTok videos about Prufrock did not influence my review, but it did encourage me to leave my own review based on my own experiences. read more

Loved popping in here again! It had been since I've been here. There is street parking and I got lucky with a spot not too far away. Still such a cute and cozy coffee shop. The barista was awesome. So friendly, personable, and quick. It never got too busy but even when there was a smaller rush, she handled it superbly. Loved her latte art too. I ordered a cappuccino to start but it was pretty hard to taste the espresso. It just wasn't very strong. I tried the purple haze latte afterwards and loved the ube taste! I think if you're an espresso fiend like me, maybe try a cortado? But for a nice latte they had some good options. Their pastries looked tasty too! read more

I was in the area and had seen this coffee shop before and finally decided to check it out and it did not disappoint. I ordered an iced latte add lavender and vanilla bean and it was delicious. The baristas were friendly, fast, and overall great service. The coffee shop has games that you can play while drinking your coffee. I brought a friend with me and we had a great time drinking coffee and playing games. Great, fun, and cozy coffee shop. I had meeting here and the setting is really nice on the inside and outside but parking is horrible. It seemed like it's a great place for meetings and for those that want to work outside the office. There was only 1 person working so she was slammed with customers. It took forever for my client to get her warm croissant she ordered before I even got there. The area is really cool but I think my experience wouldn't been better if there were more people working. The barista seemed to handle it well and she very apologetic but I felt bad for her. My didn't like my coffee and although she said she replace it I just kept it because I didn't want to wait forever for another one. The latte wasn't worth the price I paid for it. I think it was around $8 with the tip. It was lacking flavor and just bad. My client's order wasn't any better and we had to clean off our own table because the barista was taking orders. I asked her for a rag and we cleaned our own table before the meeting to assist her: Overall, it's really cute and inviting on the inside but they need proper staffing. Great to see people in the neighborhood working and meeting using WiFi. Love this area, we might try it again next time if we can find a parking spot. read more

I was meeting a coworker for coffee and I chose Prufrock because I never been. I was a little hesitant because the reviews weren't as eye-catching on Yelp. I had a pretty cool experience. The dining area was so cute and cozy. They offered a few board and card games if you were gonna stay a while. The barista was very welcoming and did a wonderful job making our drinks. I ordered the crème brûlée latte with a cheese danish. My coworker ordered the Purple Haze Frost. (UBE) He said it was really good so I may try that next time. I had the barista warm my danish and it paired well with my latte. I wish it wasn't as pricey. I would've gotten another one. I ordered a hot chai latte to enjoy in the cafe. Dairy isn't safe for me, so I asked for a nondairy option. I think my total with $1 tip was $9. I don't enjoy leaving negative feedback, but I feel it's important to share our experience so others can make an informed decision. My partner and I visited the café last week and both ordered chai tea--one hot and one cold. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from start to finish. The barista appeared visibly inconvenienced by our presence and was seated behind the counter on her phone. She only approached us after we stood waiting at the counter for some time, which made us feel unwelcome. While our drinks were being prepared, I noticed the café itself was quite dirty. Tables and the coffee station were cluttered and appeared to need basic cleaning and organization. When we received our drinks, both were extremely harsh to drink. Even the cold chai burned my throat, and both of us immediately started coughing. I attempted to stir the drink and try again, but it was still undrinkable. We ultimately had to throw both drinks away and leave. I genuinely want to support local businesses and give them the first opportunity to earn my business, but this visit fell short in several key areas--customer service, cleanliness, and drink preparation. Cute new coffee shop! Love the vibe in there but it is a bit on the smaller side for gathering. I love that they have vanilla bean sugar free syrup option as I've never had that before! I wanted to try something from the spring menu so I went with the lavender latte. I've never had lavender before and asked the barista her thoughts. She said she doesn't love the lavender flavor/floral taste but mixing it with the vanilla bean to give it a bit more sweetness would help. In a good way it actually tasted a bit like fruity pebbles! I think it may be better cold than hot but overall I enjoyed it! Very quick service and they had some pastries and breakfast sandwiches that looked appetizing as well! This is my second visit to Prufrock after they changed ownership and I love the change. Inside Prufrock there are many places to sit, and has the perfect vibe for working remotely. They have mixed seating upstairs and more secluded seating downstairs. When I went up to the bar to order, I was greeted by a friendly barista. The barista asked me what I'd like to order and I asked if they had chai lattes. I was assured about the chai options and was grateful for the variety. My order took less than five minutes to make and during that time I found a great place to sit and set up my laptop. Maybe the chai latte wasn't the best choice but I will be back to try some of their other options. I appreciate the eclectic aesthetic and roomy seating. There is a lot of street parking just keep in mind the redline bus when looking. I went around 10am on a Saturday and there was plenty of room to sit. There is also a downstairs area if upstairs seems full. It seemed like I went around a time everyone was out and about and stopping in for coffee on the go. Well unfortunately this place has gone down hill. My bf and I used to come here when we first moved to the Broadripple area. However the last few time we tried to come they were closed. Now that they're finally back open we were disappointed. We got a Cortado that was so sour tasting it wasn't even drinkable. I also ordered a cheese danish which was not edible. I highly doubt that was baked fresh today. It had a film over the top of the cheese. I hate to be so harsh but there are so many coffee shops this place is competing with in the area that I will now be going to instead of here. Lastly I will say I did love their ube coffee. It was delicious but I believe it's only a speciality drink! Their decor is kind of random but I do love the amount of seating they offer and their staff is usually very friendly. it's gone downhill, which stinks because as a neighborhood joint with a perfect interior, it could be great. basic coffee shop amenities (many of which this place had before ownership change) are lacking: the cream is under lock and key, the coffee is no longer good local brews but kind of a weak Folgers that usually isn't hot, and the bathroom has been in disrepair for literally years. it's still good for the location and basement, but I truly don't get the sense owners care about the place outside of making (or, more likely, saving) money. Although it is cozy, there are always people working and talking, so you don't feel like you have to be silent. They offer a few pastries and breakfast/lunch items like sandwiches. The true treats are their specialty drinks and their unique cups. I got a springtime latte with ube syrup, which was delicious! I love that Prufrock feels unique but not pretentious.
