I tried Rose & Lois at the Fishers Farmers Market. I was excited about the signature drink flavors on the menu. I didn't see the prices listed, but ordered a large, thinking it would be somewhat reasonable for the times, but it came out to be $12.65 ! I opted for the Raspberry Mocha option. The drink was ok, but the coffee flavor didn't come through much - very milky. The thing that prompts the one star though, is that the order taker would turn the Ipad so that she could see people selecting tips. I stood and watched while I waited for my drink, and the way the sun was positioned, people could not see the Ipad screen while it was tilted towards the person collecting money and each tried to turn it so they could see - but the cashier would reposition it still tilted towards herself. It very much looked like a manipulation tactic. Regardless of the mixed feelings of general consensus about tip culture, this was inappropriate. Strike two, won't get another chance. Tried coming here two months ago only to find they were closed on Sunday despite their Instagram, Facebook and Yelp showing them as open. Decided to try again on a Saturday. Checked Facebook, says they are open, no post saying otherwise. Check Instagram, shows they are open. Yelp, shows they are open. Wife and I walk up to the shop, lights are off and on the drive trough window is their sign saying the are closed. I really want to support small businesses but one thing that I can't stand is when they waste my time. It's not very hard to update your Social Media sites with correct hours or post if an unexpected issue causes you to close. It's probably faster than the time it took to write the sign on your window. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this business. Best advice I can give is call before you go because they can't seem to otherwise figure out how to communicate their operating hours. read more

What a cute little coffee shop Rose & Lois is! Staff was friendly and welcoming, and gave me suggestions on their favorite drinks. I tried the seasonal "shaken s'mores" coffee. It is definitely a little bit more chocolate than I like, but could see it being a favorite for those that like a very sweet coffee. I also tried the coffee cake, which was warmed up and hot when I received it. It is moist and flavorful, with the icing on top being the star of the show. Inside, there's tons of color and seating. I've been a Rose & Lois stan since before the full-size café opened because they're also a traveling espresso food truck. First of all, the truck is so freaking adorable! It's the perfect little hygge mobile that you can hire for events. My mom works for a school system and she had a wonderful experience working with R&L during a staff appreciation event she helped organize at her office. I've been through the drive through several times and the drinks are always great, but this is the first time I've come inside. Let me you--it's super cute! I needed a place to stop and work for a bit and I'm so glad I chose this spot. It was nice and quiet, but not awkward, library-level quiet, so I could concentrate on writing without it being silent. There are even little conference rooms you can use if you need a spot to meet or just get out of the house while WFH. I love the vibe, but the drinks are great too. This is my first visit and I had been wanting to check it out for a bit. I ordered the pistachio-oat latte and a rhubarb raspberry parfait muffin. I didn't really know what to expect for a parfait muffin, but it was actually like a parfait with a yogurt filled center and oats in the muffin. I was really good! The show stopper was the pistachio oat latte! It was so delicious! The coffee is smooth and rich and the pistachio flavor is sweet, but not too sweet. This drink will definitely bring me back again. I've been obsessed with Rose & Lois ever since I heard that they were going to be an actual brick-and-mortar spot that I could visit whenever I wanted, AND that they would have an area for children to play while their parents/caregivers enjoy some peace and quiet and coffee. Then the pandemic hit right when they opened, and I never got to visit Rose & Lois the way I imagined: with my kids playing nicely, and me enjoying some coffee and a sweet treat as my children left me alone. I do plan to visit the inside of Rose & Lois one day, but in the meantime, I went through their drive-thru to get some coffee and a sweet treat to go. Yes, this coffee shop has a drive-thru! And they were super fast with my order, which is always a plus with a drive-thru. I got a black coffee and a chocolate croissant -- a classic combination. My coffee was great: smooth and nutty. My chocolate croissant was flaky and warm, because they took the time to warm it up before serving it to me. It was so flaky that it got all over my shirt as I was devouring it while driving, but them's the breaks when you're eating a laminated pastry while driving, I suppose. Great, indie coffee shop right at the corner of Carmel, Noblesville, and Fishers. I really liked the light and friendly aesthetic to the interior decoration that complemented the two walls of windows on either side of the store. Minimal but invited and comfortable furniture matched that nicely. I had a Gingerbread Latte with almond milk. The latte was fantastic! And the service was great, too. The gentleman running the register seemed new. But he was patient with me and himself in making sure he got my order right. And the barista prepared my drink quickly and perfectly. There's also some great merch, food options, and even some nice holiday gift baskets. This was the first time I have been to this coffee shop and was so impressed. The menu wasn't overwhelming but there were so many different things I wanted to try. We ordered two different types of coffee during our visit. I ordered the caramel apple cider latte. One thing I loved is that their apple cider was from a local apple orchard. I've tried the drive through and have now biked here for a cold drink and light bite. I bought a 'refresher ' that is a bit too sweet for me, but still good. I had them add a splash of almond milk, it's creamy and, yes, refreshing. I also got a sou vide, spinach and feta. It was tender and light but to salty, probably a result of the feta. This cute new coffee shop is a brick and mortar version of the coffee truck you might have seen around town (that hasn't gone anywhere, it still exists and can be rented out for events!) This coffee shop offers plenty of spaced out seating and even has a private room for meetings or a quiet space to get work done. It even has a kids corner with games and toys. Their baristas are fun and offer great suggestions on food and drink options. The gingerbread latte is so good. Not super super sweet which I appreciated. Stopped in for a morning coffee date with my husband this morning. We got an iced latte and a caramel macchiato. We both loved our coffees and commented it was some of the best we've had in a while. There was no wait or line and the baristas were really helpful and attentive. There was plenty of parking too which we love. Before I kick off with a list of reasons you should pay Rose & Lois a visit, let me start off by telling you about the extremely delicious nitro cold brew topped with rose syrup I experienced. They purchase their nitro brew from Julian Coffee Roasters and it is so good. I was thrilled to see they offer rose syrup and thought it helped curb the acidic edge that cold brew can sometimes have. After Instagram stalking Rose & Lois for weeks, I finally experienced it for myself. And let's just say, I see many more return visits in my future. R&L started as a coffee/food truck (which is adorable, btw) and opened her brick-and-mortar store in March 2020...during a global pandemic. YEP. Luckily, they have a drive-thru and have been serving customers despite the circumstances. In fact, I would say their social media has been a bright spot in these difficult times. Not only do they have creative menu offerings (like the trendy Dalgona whipped coffee or a pistachio latte), but they have meal boxes for healthcare workers and have given back to the community in big ways. The owner and staff are so sweet and taking all the necessary safety precautions during these strange times. It's easy to go through drive-thru for a no-contact experience. I'm more of a tea drinker myself, so I love that R&L uses Aahaa Chai (my favorite!) in chai tea lattes and iced tea blends, and they have refreshers in yummy flavors like blood orange coconut. Did I mention they have kid-friendly snack cups and beverages, too? Rose & Lois is super cute inside with comfy seating and a play area for young children. This is one of my go-to local coffee spots, with creative drink choices, like lavender lattes. Went this morning and had a seasonal drink, the eggnog latte, which was delicious. My friend had a pistachio latte which was even better than the drink I had, to be honest. Lovely place to stop by for coffee. Its a nice spot modified for coffee with reservations for a room if you want to work or take calls. There's a variety of teas although I didn't try any. Ordered the chai tea latte and lavender latte with almond milk. Not too strong, neither too mellow. Just the right flavor, the sweetness was also per my liking. I was so excited to be part of the Yelp Week Event at Rose & Lois's Cafe in Carmel on 146th Street between River Road and Hazel Dell. The Cafe sits back off of 146th Street on the south side and you turn onto Community Drive and the Cafe is within sight. Parking is located in the back of the Cafe. As I entered I immediately noticed the Urban interior with woodsy table, chrome chairs with splashes of yellow and blue accent chairs. You have the option of sitting at the window bar ledge with 4 high-top stools or 2, 4 and 6-top tables and one small grouping of 4 chairs. I found very comfortable modern yellow chairs, an extremely relaxing atmosphere with soothing music playing softly in the background. Each table has a sweet, small potted succulent on it and a bottle of hand sanitizer for each customer to use. The sanitizer was much appreciated! I selected the 16 oz. Pecan Pie Latte as my drink which was very good. While checking out the menu the Red Pepper Gouda Bisque sounded to good to pass up so I ordered it also. The soup was delicious and came with a bag of chips. I then returned after I finished my first delicious Pecan Pie Latte and ordered a Chai Iced Tea. It was wonderful with so much flavor and my favorite. You'll find a water cooler in the corner of the room for a cup of water. For an added touch breath mints are available at the pickup counter to help eliminate your coffee breath. Three extremely nice Gift Baskets were available filled with coffee, a warm, cozy blanket, coffee mugs plus more. Great gifts for those coffee lovers on your Christmas, birthday or special occasion list. Across from the order counter is what appears to be a meeting/events room. Check it out if you need a meeting space serving coffees, breakfast and lunch. Another option is their Mobile Coffee Bar that comes to you. Call for details!! The staff was very helpful and friendly. They worked well together and orders moved quickly. Tables were sanitized between customers, staff wore masks and a bottle of sanitizer was on each table. I didn't use the drive through even though it was very convenient. It's a little curvy so be careful and pay close attention to the layout with easy access back to 146th Street. Lots of activity in the area today. Today landscapers were trimming back perennials and construction crews were still working on adjoining sections of the development. Loved Rose & Lois and will definitely stop when I'm in the area again. Please help support local businesses during this trying pandemic. I've been looking forward to the opportunity when I could write a legit review for this lovely new coffee shop in Carmel. I had the initial opportunity to check it out during a recent Yelp event, an event that convinced me how much I like this place even if it is a bit out of the way for me. As an avid Yelper and 7-year Elite, this pandemic has been a real challenge as my desire to support local is sometimes challenged by my own physical challenges as a paraplegic/double amputee. After my latest amputation late in 2019, I went from a double below-knee amputee to having one leg become above-knee. Trust me, mobility is much harder now. So, I can't deny that I do a lot more drive-thru visits these days. Unfortunately, that also means more chains and fewer locals. However, I've definitely been doing delivery, occasional curbside, and outdoor dining when available. Fortunately, Rose & Lois has a drive-thru. How exciting. Rose & Lois is located in a relatively new strip center. The drive-thru is admittedly in a rather tight spot. So, make sure you're paying attention because it has a weird curve to it. Or maybe I'm just a bad driver. They also have a mobile coffee bar that they will take to events. Both times I've visited Rose & Lois, I've been greeted in a super friendly manner. During the Yelp event, they were super organized and had it going on. I loved that. Sometimes, people fumble and bumble around or you can tell there's been poor communication about the event. Not here. The employee knew exactly what was going on. However, the general guideline with Yelp is that you really only review a business when you've had a genuine visit - not a freebie. So, I waited. And waited. And waited. And I finally have the opportunity for a full-on review. Rose & Lois has a back patio, a beautiful interior, and accessible parking almost directly in front. You can also order online. They have featured drinks (the peppermint mocha is amazing), iced drinks, hot drinks, ice cream from Sundae's, baked good from Taylor's, and other food items. I had their coffee cake, which comes from Taylor's. Oh my word. It was simply outstanding. I'm generally a fan of Taylor's anyway, but this was an item I'd never had before and I absolutely loved it. The prices are fair and comparable to most indie coffee shops. In fact, I'd probably say they're a bit lower. Seriously, while this is far enough for me that it's not a place I'd visit daily it's such a wonderful new place and offers the convenience of a drive-thru that there's simply no doubt I'll become at least a semi-regular. I love the location. I love the convenience. I love the people. I love the coffee. I love the baked goods. This must mean I love Rose & Lois. read more

Their staff was super friendly and I really appreciated the diversity with them as well :) I stopped in for the very first time after a long while of waiting to and was very pleased. I was looking forward to checking out what their savory veggie grab and go offerings were because I have seen some great pictures, but got there towards the end of their day and missed out. Next time! I do have to say their Red Pepper Gouda Bisque was quite delightful and perfect for the rainy afternoon we visited on.
