    Inside of market at Borage

Picked up some breakfast sandwiches, coffee, and pastries, and I can't wait to go back and dine in. The market side is perfection - places to sit and hang, a bar area, and a wonderful selection of trinkets, produce, and to-go food. Such a fantastic vibe and perfect addition to the area. The coffee was delicious, the pastries were incredible, and the sandwiches were exactly what you want out of a breakfast sandwich. I can't believe it took us so long to try this place! Run by incredible people, which is always a plus, and there's a parking lot?! 10/10 go now

You ever go to a place and feel like you aren't even in your own city? Borage feels like a hip place that belongs in Chicago or NYC. The inside is so well designed. I ordered the all day breakfast and added the pancake. The food is great. The staff were kind as well. The market is a nice addition as well- I can see myself popping in here more than the restaurant for a quick treat.

My husband picked up cinnamon rolls from here and brought them home. The rolls were really good. He called before going and said the person he spoke to was helpful. However, whoever helped him when he actually arrived, he said wasn't very friendly and actually a bit rude. Since we didn't eat in, I can't speak to the ambiance.

Stopped in after a 14 hour workday. I placed an order for fish and chips. The fish was decent. There were three decent size fillets. The fries were just average. I like the way the place is decorated. It also has a lot of local affair to purchase. It's a great place to stop if you need to pick up a quick gift. I was disappointed to see the man behind the bar area blow his nose and not wash his hands. I did wait for at least 30 minutes to get my food so that was the second disappointment. For $28 I thought the food could have been seasoned better. Not sure I will go back. This is the second time I've went in and neither time was I been impressed.

Overall, we really like this place. It is a great spot because even if it's busy and there is a wait you can go over to the market that is connected and get a coffee and pastry while you wait. The cold brew is quite good and we got a cinnamon roll as well. The cinnamon roll was decent, I'm not a cream cheese person and if you are either, I wouldn't recommend it. But not bad. Service overall was just okay. I give them a pass because the place was pretty busy when we came in on Sunday. We were seated for over 10 mins before we got our order taken. If we didn't have coffee already, it would've been a little more annoying. When the waitress finally came, she just asked what we wanted to order and not "have you been in before" or explain the specials which was a little off putting. Also, when they dropped off the food they didn't ask if we got everything or needed anything additional. We also had to flag someone down to bring ketchup over. As far as food goes, we both had decent meals. We had the shakshuka and the biscuit bowl. The shakshuka was very spicy and good flavor which was good and the biscuit bowl was good as well. The biscuits seemed fresh and not smothered in gravy which as appreciated. Forgot to take a picture of the bowl before I dug in, sorry! :) We will definitely be back, but in all honesty disappointed in the service we got.

Lobby - The image shows a waiting area with five green, padded chairs with black metal legs aligned against a wall. The wall features large floral artwork with blue flowers and green leaves, arranged in a symmetrical pattern. A small chalkboard sign is placed on the floor next to a decorative white cactus sculpture. A wooden sign with pink writing indicates where to wait to be seated for the market. The space has a polished concrete floor, ceiling lights, and a partial view of a dining area in the background.

The start of my birthday month calls for Borage for breakfast! Started with the seasonal lattes and the humongous cinnamon roll. So very good! I had the matcha latte that had the perfect hint of orange. The cinnamon roll is a huge, gooey sponge of dough with the most delicious cream cheese frosting. We had the All Day Breakfast and the Frittata. The ADB never disappoints. Eggs of your choice, a sausage patty flavored with maple and fennel, toast hit the spot. Enough food to take home for a second breakfast! The frittata had roasted veggies and was topped with perfectly cooked bacon strips. A spring mix of salad was served as a side. The staff is super friendly. The atmosphere is bright, open and very clean. A must try!

I'm so happy I decided to try this location on a whim. There's ample parking across the street and I loved the eclectic decor and welcoming environment of this shop. The staff were very friendly and helpful- the barista helped me decide on the iced banana nut latte as they make the syrup in house. It was absolutely delicious and one I would consider a "comfort" drink. They had fresh veggies for sale and multiple freezers with food prepared to-go as well. I purchased a beautiful vase, house plant and planter as well. I'm looking forward to my next trip

Delicious food, cozy seating with eclectic decor, and excellent service. They don't take reservations for breakfast/brunch so don't be discouraged when you see no reservations available. We had the biscuits and gravy, a frittata, and the Turkish poached eggs with a hash brown. Everything was delicious. The Turkish eggs were just what I wanted, light and delicious. They could have used some salt, but I was too hungry to ask for it. The hash brown was incredible. Super crunchy and a little mushy inside. It's the gold standard hash brown, promise! The Bs&Gs were made with a bacon gravy, so different from the usual but equally delightful! I loved the dressing they used on the greens that accompanied the frittata. The frittata was great too! We like swinging by the market for a coffee and a pastry occasionally. Borage is a great addition to the neighborhood.

Great service. Cinnamon roll and psl brown butter latte was yummy!! $14 total Love to see places decorate for Halloween. Loved the no ice sign on the door. Love all the goodies in the shop. Unique flavorful pastries available. Parking lot only holds about 16 cars so may have to park across the street. Came on a Tuesday and only a few spots open

We could tell by the smell when we were walking in, how phenomenal the food was going to be! And we were right. The food was awesome. 100% we will be recommending and coming back here again. Our server was very attentive and had good recommendations as well. I can't wait to come back and try the dinner service.

I love this place! I walk down with my dog and grab a coffee at least once a week. Their brunch is delicious as well as their dinner. But I'm very fond of their grab and go items. The market is amazing - easy to go items that are upscale. I recently purchased their cinnamon roll ice cream - unbelievable!! Service is always friendly and the entire place is such a vibe, beautifully decorated.

Okay, this was our second time here. The first time we sat down and ate (it was amazing nonetheless). We were on this side of town for other reasons and decided to stop into the cafe for a coffee and pastry to try this time. Absolutely amazing. Everything was literally perfect and nothing made it home from the time we got in the car to the house. You need to try this place, whether you're there for a quick bite from their counter display, or sit down at the restaurant.

Seasonal fruit side, pancake, breakfast sandwich - The image shows a breakfast scene with a plate of a large crepe topped with butter and syrup, accompanied by two small metal containers of syrup and butter. In the foreground, there is a bowl filled with sliced peaches and grapes. In the background, a plate with a breakfast sandwich, including an egg, bacon, and bread, is visible. The setting appears to be in a casual dining environment with chairs and tables visible in the background.

Okay, so I've only been here once, but we loooooved it! It was a lot bigger than I expected and the ambiance is so fun, cute, and comfortable. We arrived for breakfast pretty early on a Saturday, so it was calm before the brunch rush. The food was great and I can't wait to return and try more. The server was friendly and helpful with explaining the menu regarding my gluten allergy. My husband couldn't stop talking about how good the fried-to-order donut was. They have a cute market area on the other side of the restaurant for coffee, bakery, goods, and drinks for more casual or quick service. I found some beautiful and unique greeting cards, along with other home goods and gifts. Everything seems to be created with heart and consideration for the guests that will enjoy it, from the high quality food and baked goods to the restaurant design.

I will cut some slack on the service, however - I arrives after what seems to have been a very atypical rush of Journey fans who inundated the place before heading to Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The staff seemed a bit rundown and slap happy - not really attentive to the bar where I sat. I waited a bit long before I was greeted with a menu, waited awhile with an empty glass, waited with my food pushed away before it was cleared. No one asked if everything was okay even though most of my food was untouched. The food... my salad (house greens) was a great little salad! I say this despite finding a hair on the plate when I was about 2/3 through. My mussels and fries were not great. The fries were mid - they tasted kind of overdone or as if the oil were old. The mussels were actively bad. The portion (an app) was pretty small. There was hardly any broth/wine and they weren't piping hot. Also, they were actually not tasty and the texture was rubbery. They remained in front of me, uncleared, even after I closed my tab. They did not smell good. I don't anticipate being sick but I do anticipate being hungry.

We were greeted right away and looked over the menu a bit before ordering. My husband ordered the country breakfast with chicken (definitely the way to go) and I ordered the cheesy jalapeño grits with bacon. We each got a cup for water and I ordered a coffee, excited because I saw ahead of going that it was self-serve (like at Cafe Patachou where I can get as many coffees as I like without having to wait for our server to come check on us first). However, the self serve coffee excitement was short-lived after seeing that they only offered half and half as creamer (I'm lactose intolerant) and the two coffee carafes were not labeled for what was inside (decaf? medium roast? you'll never know!) and then one was completely empty and never refilled during our visit. The water station also was not ever refilled during our visit, so we were not able to get refills after filling up our cups the first time. It took a couple of tries to find a table we could sit at because you seat yourself, but several had not been cleaned after other guests left and had food and drinks spilled on them. There were definitely enough staff members there to be able to clean them in between customers, so we weren't sure why they were left that way. We ended up sitting in the middle of the room towards the front, across from the clown art wall, which made for interesting conversation as we looked through everything. When the food came out I was impressed with the portions, but I had no flavor whatsoever to my cheesy jalepeno grits. The egg and bacon were good, but not enough to make it a good dish and I would not order it again. And I love savory breakfast and grits in general, so it was a real bummer. My husband's dish was worth the visit though. It was a huge portion size and we honestly would just split it if we came back and ordered it. It was so savory, seasoned perfectly, and juicy. One of the best breakfast dishes I have tried recently! I really debated between 3-4 stars for this, but my dish was a flop, the lack of cleanliness for the seating area, the lackluster self-serve coffee station, and not refilling the beverages ultimately scored a 3 star review for me. I would come back and try something else though, or split the country chicken breakfast because it was really good. Hopefully next time the beverages won't be empty!
