Food is incredible and the service is top notch! I liked the ambiance it wasn't too loud.

Came in recently and have to say food was sub par this time. Got the filet and the steak had no flavor. I'm not even sure they seasoned it at all. I don't need much, usually I just put salt on before cooking steak. Also asked for medium rare and it came out medium. Not sure if the steak knife I got was dull or because the steak was over cooked but it was hard to cut. Also the sweet potatoes were under cooked. Majority were still hard. Overall disappointed and won't be ordering this again. The only star/positive was bartender and the lovely dirty martini with blue cheese stuffed olives. Went here with some friends and was blown away by the food! But a few other things that I loved as well. -Parking is super easy as there is a lot for all of the businesses in that area - There's indoor and outdoor seating - The menu has a lot of amazing options but not too many where it's overwhelming -Drinks are reasonably priced THE FOOD WAS AMAZING! All of us were raving about the flavorful Brussels sprouts, how big the calamari steak frites were, and how tender the truffle burger was. I am going to be thinking about this meal for awhile. As an added bonus, the atmosphere was nice and relaxing. I highly recommend this spot to anyone who loves good food! First, our sever was amazing and attentive. The faux mojito was delicious, our server suggested it. The restaurant is also fancy and nice inside. Second, the food was just OK. We ordered the calamari and it lacked seasoning and flavor; it had so much potential, it was so well cook!! I ordered the fried chicken meal and again the chicken was missing flavor and salt. It was well cooked and crispy.. even the hot sauce didn't fix the flavoring. In short, What we ordered wasn't very good. read more

It's been a few years since I've been here but glad I was reminded how nice it was. Its a nice and laid back environment, you could dressed up or down and be fine. Our waitress was super nice and helpful and gave some of her recommendations. We enjoyed the appetizers, brussel sprouts(minus bacon) and cauliflower. Both were good but i think i would've liked the cauliflower a little more if it were fried first. The fried chicken with green beans and Mac and cheese was so good. I was reluctant to try the Mac n cheese but our server was a fan so I took her word and was not disappointed. It is a little "soupy" on the inside and I usually prefer mine more firm but it was well seasoned and I'd definitely try it again. We love Northside Social when we're in the mood for a special dinner that's upscale, doesn't break the bank, and is deliciously filling. They have a menu with good variety, including some low country southern inspired dishes as well as Neapolitan pizza (from their sister restaurant that closed after COVID) as well as some steak and seafood options. Usually we order cocktails but we're doing dry January and were pleasantly surprised to find two mocktails and a Non Alcoholic beer on the menu. Our mocktails were delicious and hit the spot. My husband ordered one of the specials, lobster ravioli, which was fantastic. The ravioli was so tender and clearly house made. I ordered the soy glazed mahi served over rice and a miso broth. Although the flavors were great, I didn't care for the texture of the mahi. I think that's more personal preference though. My favorite dish that I have ordered multiple times is their shrimp and grits - it never disappoints! Our server was friendly and prompt and we've never had anything but knowledgeable and experienced servers when we've dined here. read more

First off, it's a restaurant in Broad Ripple with its own parking lot, so it started off fabulous and stress free. The environment gives off classy, sophisticated vibes, but the prices are reasonable for a full meal. We started with the cornbread with maple butter and it was delicious. I had the Parmesan crusted chicken which came with mashed potatoes and asparagus. It was good. My friend had the vodka rigatoni and I regretted not getting that. It was so good and the portion was huge. I got the ginger grapefruit mocktail and it was refreshing. Our server was sweet and patient with us taking time to make decisions. Opting for something new we stopped at The Northside Social. We started with Buffalo Cauliflower. It was decent but not what I expected for Buffalo Cauliflower. It was nice that it was actually fresh cauliflower instead of breaded frozen other places have it was tossed in buffalo sauce with a blue cheese dressing and topped with some greens and shaved celery root. I'd order it again. We also got garlic knots. They were really good and we both preferred the white sauce over the red. The red was too chunky. My meal was crust whitefish with mashed potatoes and green beans. The fish was great and surprisingly the mashed potatoes were good. I typically don't like home style. The green beans were to the side of raw and really needed about a min more in the pan. Husband got fried chicken with Mac n cheese and green beans. The chicken was moist and had good flavor. He really liked the Mac n cheese. We got Chocolate Cake to go. The cake was awesome and a decent portion. Over all we'd probably be back. Depends on the menu. Went for Devour. The 40 for 1 is just the right portion and the food was pretty good. Beet Salad, which was more arugula than beets but the pears in the salad were delicious and I wish I could have asked for extra extra. Parmesean crusted chicken. This dish was super tasty except for the asparagus. Come on no one actually enjoys asparagus, we eat it because we're adults an we feel guilty. It was cooked well but I would have rather another veg and there's no way I can eat that must. Chicken was good but a little dry wish we would have had more pan sauce. The plating was not cute and clunky but all tasty. The bread pudding was good. Vibe was pretty except for the Giant Tvs which I think are tacky and atrocious at a "fancy" restaurant. If my meal is over $25.99 I don't want to be surrounded by giant tvs. We're adults we can spend an hour of the day not tied to an electronic. Over all great experience. read more

I came here for a Hot Mom Dinner. What's a Hot Mom Dinner? It's when a hot mom (ahem) gets a couple of hours to herself, and so she orders a Caesar salad and fries and a glass of good wine, and eats it at the bar while scrolling through r/UFOs on her phone, and relishing the fact that she's sans kids and alive in the world and enjoying great food and drink. The Northside Social is a good place to enjoy a Hot Mom Dinner. You think I'm being cheeky, but I literally saw a group of five women who looked like moms without their kids grab a couple of tables while I was there. And there was a harried-but-otherwise hot looking woman sitting at the bar enjoying a glass of wine. (Probably harried from dealing with kids all day?) And then there was me. Three is a trend, and this is telling me that this is Hot Mom Central. Like I mentioned, I got a Caesar salad and fries. An order of fries is not on the menu, but if you want them, just ask for fries and they will give you fries. The fries were delicious and salty -- just floppy and mealy enough but with some crispy bits. The Caesar salad was exactly what I wanted. I have a lot of opinions about Caesar salads: I think they should include breadcrumbs and not big chunks of hard croutons, they should be lightly dressed, they should have copious amounts of parmesan. This Caesar salad had everything I was looking for. Northside Social also includes a couple of balsamic-infused cherry tomatoes, which are amazing and just right. The service is impeccable. The lighting is dim and mellow, the bar area is spacious (and includes high-top bar tables), and the music is playing at just the right level. Northside Social is going to be one of my go-to restaurants when I'm in Broad Ripple and need a nice place to eat, whether by myself or with others. read more

Great atmosphere with a chic mid-century modern look. Staff is extremely knowledgeable and attentive. Great place for groups, date night or out with friends. Love the intimate ambiance at Northside Social! Great date spot with a great menu. Top notch service. I've been here a few times and every dish I have had as impressed. Last night I went with the Seafood Curry and my date got the Salmon. Both dishes were great!! The curry had a great spice level to it. The lemon glaze on the Everything seasoning crusted salmon push it over the top. I posted a picture of the cocktail list because it looks great! We went here for my husbands birthday, and had made reservations prior! We have a one year old, so I requested a high chair, and to be sat far away near a window. As soon as we arrived they had our table ready for us and they actually read my request! (Not too many restaurants read these) we were so impressed with their service from the beginning! One thing about me is that I am a calamari girl. If it's on the menu, I will almost always order it, and my mother is the same way. Northside Social has, perhaps, dare I say, the best calamari either of us had ever had! I failed to take a photo of it, but it's steak-like strips which it makes it very meaty/juicy and you can appreciate the flavor of the seafood way more than just the breading or the sauce as with most fried calamari entrees. It was also such a huge portion, definitely plenty to split among 4 people. Our waitress was lovely. We went before seeing a show at Clowes and did end up cutting it a little close considering our reservations were a full 2.5 hours before showtime, so I do recommend letting your server know you're trying to get out at a certain time so they don't take too long getting your check. read more

Definitely a must try...meaty pieces with perfect batter ratio! Kids stuck to their usual dinner fare and enjoyed it. I went with the orange marmalade margarita after making sure it wasnt too sweet and it really was what I had hoped for. My husband opted for sweet tea sazarac and is a fan of it. For entree I had the potatoe crusted whitefish and it was a party in my mouth - crunchy bits with buttery warmth and properly flaky fish. The coconut cheesecake is where I would say I was a bit unhappy with how sweet it was. My husband enjoyed it nonetheless. Just did Valentine's dinner last night with friends at The Northside Social, 65th and Keystone in Broad Ripple. To be honest, I looked on OpenTable a month ago to see what was available and then chose TNS by the menu. We hadn't been there in at least 10 years (hostess said they'd been open for 12) but I will definitely be going back! - The food was incredible! Such a wide variety of appetizers and entrees to choose from. We had the meatballs with crostini (sauce so delicious I wanted to lick the bowl), walleye, boneless pork with risotto, and blackened fish with crawfish etouffee. Dessert was turtle cheesecake and carrot cake. - Restaurant ambiance was also great, not too loud, and very clean/well decorated - They support ingredients from local farmers. - The service was impeccable, especially our waitress Valarie M. So friendly, attentive and had lots of menu suggestions. When two of us said we were going to share the beet salad she had it brought out on two individually prepared plates. Always happy to visit this gem, tucked into a strip mall in Broadripple. The service is always impeccable, and the drinks are always perfect. We went with the intention of trying the devour Indy menu but all of us selected off the regular menu instead! The inside is inordinately loud. We sat outside on a dirty patio... the food is very overpriced and strange. The special was a whitefish (not walleye) with belly meat still attached to filet. It came on couscous, with spinach Kalamata Olives, Artichoke and swimming in a red sauce. It was cooked right... but what it was from a flavor standpoint reminded me of leftovers. After the Bourbon Porch cocktail (whiskey in cough syrup) I was looking forward to a beet salad... which was really, really small. We spent $248 on four meals and single round of drinks and two appetizers. The Bacon Meatball App was rich and undercooked bacon. The Cauliflower App is not breaded and fried (buffalo style, nope), it's steamed and drizzled with red spiced oil and topped with romaine lettuce and a olio dip. The other dishes we had were Stout Brisket, which was stewed and served with mash potatoes. Rigatoni pasta and Parmesan Chicken (which was best on table). The Parmesan chicken was hammered and well prepared. We had Buffalo Cauliflower which was steamed and red chili oiled and topped with romaine lettuce and oliò dip. This has been on my short list for a very long time. We just don't tend to leave the NE side for dinner...branching out lately. This place has a dedicated parking lot and is located just outside of what I would call the main Broadripple area. 6525 N College. Delicious. Our server was amazing and steered us in the right direction for entree's. The meatballs were delicious served in a huge bowl full of sun dried tomato cream sauce filled with cheese bits. I saved the leftover sauce to use for my pizza crust but the pizza crust was great by itself. Tender and chewy with a touch of oil and cornmeal. Mmm. Hubs' brisket was super tender and veggies were colorful and cooked perfectly. We were advised that the brisket recipe belonged to the owners grandmother so we had to try it after hearing this tidbit. The strawberry basil martini was made with in-house infused vodka that I could see at the bar counter and hubs' bourbon cocktail taste like a fruity old fashioned and was strong and delish. Several fish entrees looked great as they went by, as well as the burger. A great last minute decision for a nice early Saturday evening meal. I was able to snag a high top in the bar on OpenTable at 4 pm. We will go back for sure. read more

Despite being open for quite a while, I've only just made it in to Northside Social. It's an upscale restaurant, which is usually not what I aim for, but it was the perfect halfway point for some catch-up drinks so I wanted to take the opportunity to check it out after hearing great things. Wine is the focus on the drink menu, but I tend to be more of a beer and cocktail guy, so I aimed that way. The cocktails are good, though sometimes a bit ice-heavy and not what I typically go for in-terms of palate -- a bit too sweet or sour for any given drink. The food is great, though I'm limited in this review to what's vegetarian on the menu. The menu shifts seasonally, so no promises that these stick around in the future, but went with the mushroom fettuccini and the vodka rigatoni. Both were hits. read more

Yes it's us again! This place was AMAZING! I started with a strawberry basil martini, I actually had 2 of them and not a single picture, lol. They were SOOOOO good! For an appetizer we had the jalapeño herb cream cheese dip. Now that I'm writing it I realize it was very delicious, but it wasn't very spicy at all. For dinner I had the fried chicken with macaroni and green beans. It was DELICIOUS!!! The macaroni n cheese was one of the best ones I've had at a restaurant and the meat was so flavorful! Usually just the skin has flavor with fried chicken, but some how they're actual meat had flavor as well. As far as the staff they were ok. I was a little disappointed because the reservation was for my birthday (which I stated we were celebrating) and there was no sort of acknowledgement! I was actually shocked! Usually even if the restaurant doesn't do anything special for celebration they usually at least acknowledge that's why you're there. I will DEFINITELY be going back! read more

I have been wanting to try this place out, but shied away due to the entree cost. Devour Indy gave me the perfect excuse to make a reservation and I'm so glad I did. The first thing I noticed was the upscale, romantic feel with dim lighting and flickering candles. The staff were friendly and the food was delicious. I got the wedge salad, shrimp and grits, and the bread pudding. The shrimp were in a bit of a spicy roux that was delightfully paired with cheesy grits. My boyfriend got the fried chicken. It sounded boring, but actually turned out to be wonderfully different. It had a unique flavoring to the chicken, maybe lemon pepper? And paired well with the creamy, cheesy macaroni and al dente green beans. The whiskey bread pudding was also yummy; although warmed a little too hot as the ice cream melted instantly and the inside was still too hot to eat. Our only comment is that both of our meals, his chicken and the ham in my shrimp roux seemed a little too salty. Everything perfect outside of that. I'm sure I'll be back! read more

Interesting situation we encountered with the General Manager Nathan. We had reservations for 14 persons however an error was made we ended up with 15 people. After everyone was seated in a totally empty restaurant Nathan stated that we could not seat one additional seat at the end of the table nor could he give a table of 2 that was right beside us because it was reserved in the next hour and twenty. We sought alternatives but he was unwilling to find a resolution. Needless to say this put a sour end to our gathering. More importantly it was a lesson to all of how not to provide customer service. Nathan ended up with 14 Empty seats. One of the worst experiences ever! @Bradley K. We were not offered accommodations but denied an extra chair, in a completely empty restaurant.
