100/10 - food, vibes, service all are top notch! This is not a place you want to miss in the area. The mushroom soup was the best thing I had ever had, I could have had just that as meal. For dinner, I ordered the beef stroganoff and I was not disappointed. It was such a large portion, I couldn't even finish it. My husband ordered a tavern burger, so this is a perfect spot for the picky eaters too :) Our server, hogan, was amazing as well. Kept our drinks full and checked on us regularly. Will definitely be back to try more dishes!

Mushroom soup ‍ - A ceramic cup containing mushroom soup, topped with chopped green herbs, is placed on a matching ceramic saucer. The soup appears creamy with visible small mushroom pieces. The setting is on a dark, polished table at Nyla's Restaurant, which features rustic decor and a cozy ambiance.

If you're in Westfield looking for a fantastic sit out restaurant with a simple yet fantastic menu, Nyla's is your place. This beautiful location had plenty of seating that did not make you feel crammed in. They had a wonderful playlist playing with low lighting that added to the ambiance. The service was quick and phenomenal but the food was truly fantastic! I'm not a fan of mushrooms but the mushroom soup could easily get me back. Our meals featured in the photos were delicious and filling. All meals are made from scratch and you can truly taste it. It was a wonderful experience

Wednesday at Nyla's? Why not. We went for a late supper. Midweek is a great time to walk in (without a wait or reservation) and have a great meal, experience the great service and atmosphere. We had the amazing mushroom soup. I had the sea bas: a good size portion perfectly prepared. The Rosie Cheeks martini features Glendalough gin. Our take: we are not going to save Nyla's for the weekend!

Food was indescribably amazing. "Early Bird Special" makes every other restaurant in the vicinity unnoticeable. $25 for a three-course meal before 6pm. We walked in to the restaurant for our reservations on a Friday night, and before we left the table we made reservations for Saturday night.

Top notch food. I would bet you would be hard pressed to find better around. All 3 of us were raving about our meals. The mushroom soup amazing. The deviled eggs amazing. The chicken cordon bleu. Amazing! I was told the sea bass was amazing. We travel the country for work and the quality of the food rivals any place we've been. The food did take a while to come out. So just be aware of your In a hurry it might not be the best place. Very friendly and personable staff. The outdoor seating was very nice

Heard good things about this spot. It is certainly a hidden gem in Westfield. It's small, so make a reservation if you are going. They have a nice patio, but we opted for drinkie/snackie at the bar. Hogan, the bartender, was very friendly. The drinks were excellent. The steak/Gorgonzola bites were also excellent. The vin bites were on point. Definitely be back!

The service was impeccable at Nyla's. We sat at the upstairs bar. Caroline, the bartender and our server, was engaging, interesting and pours a mean martini. She made menu recommendations. The menu is well rounded. We started with the deviled eggs and candied bacon. The bacon is downright addictive. The eggs were fresh and delicious. Dinner comes with mushroom soup or wedge salad. We both had the wedge salad with blue cheese and was refreshing with more delicious bacon. My husband had the Chicken Milanese, which he raved about. The chicken was moist and the caper sauce delightful. The tomato topping on the green beans is delicious. My Sirloin steak was huge with a wonderful buttery sauce. The steak was fairly undercooked for me (rare verses medium rare) so my husband ate most of it. The potato to was huge and a meal in itself. The OG Martini is simple and served in a frosty glass, I love a cold martini. I recommend. The restaurant is in eclectic barn style house. There are two floors and not a lot of tables. Parking has improved greatly with the new parking lot at the end on the street. But don't wear your good heals, as the lot is gravel. Nyla's offers valet parking as well.

The mushroom soup was piping hot and rich flavor. The goat cheese balls are a MUST!!! I enjoyed the 10 ounce sirloin, but it was a little dry. Not sure what type of heat they use to cook meat but it was rare which i liked, but dry. It was a great atmosphere, and a good dinner. The area is unique, with several restaurants in a row, and you can public park or valet which I liked.

Amazing! My coworker has been suggesting this place since it opened. We finally went last night. Exceeded expectations! Our waitress was very knowledgeable and nice. The food was perfection. We definitely want the mushroom soup sold in gallons to go!

Great location, very nice, quiet setting. The service was great, very friendly staff. The drinks they offered were unique and quite tasty. The food was good and clearly made to order. We also got the deviled eggs, which were okay. Not the best, I would probably skip them next time. Overall, I encourage you to check this spot out!

WOW One of the best restaurant experiences I've had in the area. Everything from the character of the architectural design, to the warm cozy cabin feel on the inside. The food has a savory, ' country comfort food feel. EXCELLENT quality....on par with some homemade meals. We had the meatloaf and Wagyu burger. QUALITY meat ...very tasty gravy ...juicy succulent burger. Sam the Bartender / Mixology specialist freestyled two excellent drinks based off of our ' preferred flavor profiles ...she was GREAT. I'm telling you ....this could be a top 3 Indy Restaurant.

Looking for amazing places to eat and Nyla's was recommended. This did not disappoint, made reservations for inside at the bar it was a beautiful evening asked to swap to outside, no problem. Fantastic setting on a covered patio. Wait staff was fantastic and prompt, made suggestions and answered questions. For starters we had cornbread and crab cakes, cornbread was hot and moist, the cakes were full of meat and teaming with flavor, mushroom soup, buttery deliciousness, moving to dinner I had the 7oz filet which was a fantastic cut of meat and cooked to perfection, my wife had the sea bass , I took a bite and the flavor of that dish was amazing. For dessert we had the bread pudding, would have like to seen more blueberries but it was overall very tasty. Nylas is a fantastic restaurant, clean flavorful dishes perfectly prepared. Parking was easy, valet service was quick, free parking just a half a block away. We will be back. Thanks

So close to 5 stars! I went here for a date night and I will definitely be returning! The barn style exterior is cute but the inside is cozy and classy with a rustic feel. There are 3 floors with moderate seating. The vibe is perfect for a date or a small group! The servers were friendly and helpful with suggestions. They were quick with everything except the 2nd cocktail I ordered, we had to remind the waiter for it. We had a mule and a margarita from the cocktail list that were amazing! We started with the filet tip's & Gorgonzola fondue for an appetizer which was good! The beef was tender and warm! We ordered the Ribeye and the Meatloaf. The Ribeye was cooked appropriately- medium rare. The meatloaf with a side of the Dijon gravy was delicious! I would order the meatloaf again! We added a side of the Million Dollar Bacon and the Honey & Dijon Brussel sprouts. Both were good but not amazing. Would try a few other items the next time we go. We got a dessert that was not in the menu, the blueberry dread pudding. This was okay. I'll likely try the chocolate cake next time. Overall, a good experience! I will be returning and would recommend this spot.

There was no doubt that the soup was fresh made. The soup was creamy with gooey cheese. The broccoli was sour fresh. The bowl was huge. I also ordered a small wedge salad, which turned out to be huge. The salad was covered generously with bacon, blue cheese and grape tomatoes. We explored the event center, which was spacious. We went for a 3:00 show on a Sunday such that by the time we got out, it was 6:00-still early. It was in the 30's outside and already dark (thanks DLS time). Yet as we reached the top of the stairs to the lobby I was immediately disappointed that there was no fire lit in the fireplace. There were only three parties in the place. One was around the corner in the adjoining sitting area and may or may not have been drinking. There were two couples at the bar, where we considered also sitting. But the only empty spot for two had two dirty drink glasses from a previous patron still sitting. So we opted for the leather couch and chair in the main area just across from the bar. And that's where we waited, and waited, for almost 30 minutes, before giving up on getting served (or acknowledged). There was only one bartender, so we were fine with going up to order but communication would have been helpful. We stood at the bar while she chatted with the two couples, who'd all been served. We couldn't really figure out what she was doing as she seemed busy-ish yet wasn't serving, or clearing, or washing, and we were chatting between ourselves and didn't really give it much thought. Then she said she was out of something and was leaving the bar to go fetch it. We asked her to let us know when she was ready to serve us, and we took our seats to resume our conversation. The bartender returned after a while, and she served one of the original couples ... for another 10 minutes at least. Again we were talking so, while an irritation, it was in the background. About 50 minutes into our visit, she came over and took our drink order. This was my third or fourth visit, and I'd ordered my drink, an old fashioned, before and knew what to expect: bourbon of choice, Luxardo cherry, and a dehydrated orange slice. Ten minutes later we got our drinks. Now mind you, my friend ordered a glass of wine. Nothing time consuming about that. She noted that her pour was smaller than the other times she'd been there. Mine came with the whisky cube already on its way to melted, a broken (a.k.a. piece of) cherry and a twist. What? Where's my glorious little crunchy orange wheel of goodness? I had spied them on the bar earlier. No soup for me! Also, and I can't be sure 100% sure of this, but I tasted neither bitters nor syrup. Was this really just a bourbon rocks? It took a minute but we realized this gal cannot tend and talk at the same time. My friend commented that she had no idea what will happen when the place gets busy, as it has been every other time I've been there. We left after 8:00, after one drink, and for me, $21 lighter. Yeah, it's pricey. And the Carmichael crowd is a discriminating one. So we expected better. Much, much better.

I don't know how Lone Pine would describe its menu, but I would call it elevated comfort food. One of the things my table ordered was chicken piccata. When was the last time you saw chicken piccata on a menu?! It was delicious, and served with mashed potatoes and lettuce leaves that added a nice, fresh crunch to each bite. We also got the roasted salmon, which was served with fingerling potatoes in a pesto sauce, with arugula on the side. This, too, was delicious and rich, yet fresh. I ordered the short ribs, which came with polenta and caramelized pearl onions. The short ribs were just fatty enough, and the sauce that they were surrounded by was unctuous and wonderful to eat with the polenta. I guess I should have started this review by writing about our first course! We got the French onion soup, bloody Mary wedge salad and the Caesar salad. The Caesar salad at Lone Pine is probably the best Caesar salad that I've eaten in Carmel, and maybe in all of the Indianapolis area. The thing that Lone Pine does differently and spectacularly is that they use breadcrumbs and not croutons. That makes all the difference! Granted, it does look a bit like a pile of pencil shavings on a plate, but sometimes the dowdiest foods are the best-tasting foods. The result is a satisfyingly salty, crunchy, creamy, crispy salad that I couldn't stop eating. I know I will be back to Lone Pine for the Caesar salad. We ended our meal by sharing two desserts: the apple pie panna cotta and the Lone Pine chocolate cake. Both desserts were amazing, but the cake won us all over because it looked deceptively heavy, but it was light and airy, and came with slightly sweet whipped cream. The service at Lone Pine is exceptional. They pay attention to detail here, and all of the little things are taken care of. Our server gave us just enough time between courses. Our water was refilled unobtrusively. We didn't get asked whether we've dined there before (because who cares?) and the menu wasn't over-explained (thank goodness, because I can indeed read). One thing we also noticed that we appreciated: The music was just loud enough to hear it, but not loud enough to notice it too much! It's these little things that come together to make a great dining experience.

Unfortunately, my second visit to Line Pine may have been my last... We attended last night for my…read moremother-in-law's birthday. She wanted to try a new "fancy" place in Carmel. My first experience at the restaurant was decent, so I figured we would give it another shot. I recall my first meal being a bone-in pork chop that was overly salted. I'll make my review brief. The restaurant was not too busy but our service was fairly slow, two separate drink orders that were requested never made it to the table, the environment was noisy/music too loud, etc. I decided to go with something very basic for my food order. My thought was, "I'll see how good they are at doing something simple." I got the black and burger cooked to the chef's preferred temperature (medium). My burger came out dry/crumbly/crispy/well done. Yikes. The server did offer to provide a complimentary drink while he asked the chef to prepare another burger (a nice gesture). However, the second burger came out raw (see photo). I'm a medium rare steak guy but this was inedible. The fries were very good. I'm not typically someone who is overly critical of restaurants but for the amount of money you're paying for these meals, the food and service should be excellent. My two experiences were fair and poor. This is very unfortunate because I've visited the sister restaurants (Beholder and Milktooth) many times and have had nothing but great experiences at both. Probably the last time I'll go.
