15/10!! Amazing and intimate atmosphere for drinks and amazing live music. Servers are friendly and seem like family. Drinks are fun and experimental - we couldn't choose! Plus way more affordable than most north side Indy options! Loved it! Live music was the best we've heard at a local spot.

We love visiting this bar! They had live music tonight and it was a fun, chill place to hang for a few hours. We also tried their new summer seasonal menu. All drinks were so tasty and good :) the bartenders are always nice and can give you good reccs if you don't know what to order.

Tried this place out the other day. Only three others there when we stopped but it was off hours. Nothing overly impressive with the building itself so not a lot of ambiance to it. The tables have stools so no place to really put our coats other than just sit on them. However, you come here for the drinks and this place has excellent cocktails. I had the Christmas Old Fashion and it was very aromatic and tasty. All the drinks we had were great and prices were reasonable. They use their own spirits in the drinks and looks like they had bottles for sale. Will definitely come back.

Cute little spot for 21+ date nights and place to meet up with friends. It's tucked away off Main Street in Westfield but plenty of parking. Cool vibes with a garage door they will open when it's warm. Amazing cocktails, live music and even a little food vendor for snacks.

Had another great trip to visit 1205 distillery on the northside as always service is great and I hadn't been there since they expand it and the space is lovely can also sit outside which is always fun I had two cocktails which were delicious one was the schools out it was just the right amount of sweetness and fruitiness and then I had my class to go to which is the gilly water and I just can describe that as a refreshing and tasty drink. Check them out if you haven't had the chance yet; the spirits are awesome, and I've never had a bad cocktail, plus all cocktails are at an awesome price point. The north space is awesome because there is a long bar and seats in the middle, plus the aforementioned seating out in front. Love this place and will visit it any chance I get!

Delicious drinks, live music , this place is a great add to Westfield downtown. You order at the bar, they have some games, outdoor seating. The glasses swivels and I was at first afraid of spills, but it was ok. The bartender was really good, and drinks were delicious. I'll def be back....it's more like a 4.5 for me. The barrels and barstools look cute, but my aging back can not take it for hours. The band on Thursday was really good as well! When they first started and warming up they played along with what was playing on the stereo which was trippy. But cool.

The drinks here were delicious! I had the Spring Showers - very delicious, service friendly as well! The vibe was low key and the live music is nice on weekends

Congrats on your second location 1205! I think this spot may be my new favorite hang. Not only are the cocktails extremely delicious and quality, but they're $8 each which is a reasonable price considering the locally-made spirits used. Some of my favorites include the Hamilton Co Smash (gin, rhubarb, simple, mint, lemon), Giggle Water (vodka, rhubarb, lime, ginger beer) and "School's Out" (vodka, strawberry, lemon). They also have an old fashion, almost every spirit you could want, and sell Metazoa beer and a cider option. We rolled up at 8pm on a Friday, never having ventured out during COVID19, and just wanted to take a look at the outside. When we got there, there were only two other people there and a lot of great picnic tables outside in their parking lot. We therefore felt comfortable getting out of the car, wore our masks in to order a tower (the bartender was also wearing a mask), sat outside, then never had to go inside again thanks to the big tower we got! The cocktail tower was so fun ($75 for a full tower and serves 5-6 people or $35 for a half). The price is pretty comparable to buying individual drinks, but the convenience and minimal contact with others is a plus. Also, it's unique and fun! For the tower, you can choose either the School's Out or Hamilton Co Smash cocktail. Both were good and our small group enjoyed both about the same amount. By 10 pm, most of the outdoor tables were taken, but no one was walking around and it felt very well run and safe. You can also simply buy their spirits at a local store or (I think) online as well. The owner of 1205 are great and I love supporting a local spot like this, especially one that opened right before COVID (I can't imagine!). I'm so happy to have this new chill spot with strong, delish drinks!

Four Finger Distillery is a really fun cocktail bar in the Westfield area that has many unique and inventive drinks which utilize their house-distilled spirits. They have a seasonal cocktail menu along with a healthy selection of the classics, and a very friendly staff who is great at offering recommendations! Can get a little busy on Friday nights, but there is plenty of parking onsite and in the surrounding areas.

Enjoying farmers daughter gin tower on patio
Shashank S.

Went for a walk after brunch at the Rail and further into old downtown section of Westfield, came across this fascinating sight a little off the road right behind Tom Roush used cars. A little unassuming at first with picnic tables outside and a eastern wall open to the outdoors. It was a beautiful sunny day so we decided to share a gin tower with about 32 oz gin. For about $35 and presentation of your ID you get the tower and bowl of ice, tongs along with some plastic cups. On of the unusual things - we believe it was due to COVID - was we had to carry our own liquor outside to the picnic table. The gin we ordered- Farmers Daughter- was nice and smooth with a hint of sweetness. It would be fun to try some of their other varieties. Definitely a place to come back with some more friends

It wasn't until I spotted their outdoor lights driving through Westfield in the evening that I knew I had to check this spot out. I also didn't realize that this was the same distillery that is in Fountain Square and was their second location. In my opinion their drinks are reasonably priced and I mean hey their cups are cool (see picture for proof)... plus they have live music many nights during the week (yay!). Upon arrival there was incredible live music that played the entire evening with lots of outdoor seating. The bartenders were great and there is plenty of seating. Parking is easy as they have their own lot so you don't have to bother with street parking. It's free too! As always, support local! Cheers!

Very cool place. We went for the Derby Party. We will definitely visit again. Dog friendly and plenty of seating in and out. Even inside seating you feel like your outside.

Nuttin but love in their wobbly glass
Patricia M.

What a fun place and it is dog friendly! This place offers a variety of delicious cocktails. I ordered the Nuttin but love and it was lovely. It had vodka, rose and hibiscus simple syrup, coconut milk and strawberries. I watched the bartender cut the strawberries so obviously the drink tasted very fresh. Now the wobbly glass is really whimsical and initially really threw me but by my second drink I was fine with it. On Sundays drinks are $6 which is a great bargain. No Food but you can bring your own and apparently they have music in the weekends. My only gripe since I am getting old is that none of the chairs have backs on them. Other than that this place is doing it right. And they have parking. Will definitely be returning and this time bringing my puppy.

We sat on the second floor, we didn't know it had stairs or we would have asked for a first floor , a few of the group are not great on stairs, but as a team we made it work. Plus note is that there is a bathroom on the second floor. Speaking of the bathroom it did feel very much like a airplane bathroom, a litte Claustrophobic. The early bird dinner is the way to go, three course for a great price. We started by getting the deviled eggs and the mushroom soup. Both were amazing, the soup was so creamy and the eggs had just the right amount of firmness. I had fried chicken which was the best I have had in the Indy area. Then we headed to the restaurant for lunch. We sat at the bar, of course. Allison, the bartender and our server, did an outstanding job. She was friendly, attentive, made suggestions and prepared a fabulous Whiskey Sour. My drink was made either Luxardo cherries. This as the best Whiskey Sour that I've ever had. The lunch menu is slightly different than the dinner menu. I would describe the menu as very upscale bar food. There is a drink menu that was featuring daily specials for the holidays. My husband had their hand breaded tenderloin. The tenderloin was double stacked with perfectly breaded and seasoned tenderloin. He said it the best tenderloin he has had in Hamilton County and among the best in the state. The fries were crispy and good. I had the in-house prepared Broccoli Cheddar soup. There was no doubt that the soup was fresh made. The soup was creamy with gooey cheese. The broccoli was sour fresh. The bowl was huge. I also ordered a small wedge salad, which turned out to be huge. The salad was covered generously with bacon, blue cheese and grape tomatoes. We explored the event center, which was spacious. The outdoor patio was inviting, even on a freezing day. There is plenty of parking in their dedicated lot. Accessible spaces are available near the entrance. West Fork puts Westfield on the map. Went tonight after a production at the Booth Tarkington and was really looking forward to relaxing…read morewith an apertif in a cozy setting. We went for a 3:00 show on a Sunday such that by the time we got out, it was 6:00-still early. It was in the 30's outside and already dark (thanks DLS time). Yet as we reached the top of the stairs to the lobby I was immediately disappointed that there was no fire lit in the fireplace. There were only three parties in the place. One was around the corner in the adjoining sitting area and may or may not have been drinking. There were two couples at the bar, where we considered also sitting. But the only empty spot for two had two dirty drink glasses from a previous patron still sitting. So we opted for the leather couch and chair in the main area just across from the bar. And that's where we waited, and waited, for almost 30 minutes, before giving up on getting served (or acknowledged). There was only one bartender, so we were fine with going up to order but communication would have been helpful. We stood at the bar while she chatted with the two couples, who'd all been served. We couldn't really figure out what she was doing as she seemed busy-ish yet wasn't serving, or clearing, or washing, and we were chatting between ourselves and didn't really give it much thought. Then she said she was out of something and was leaving the bar to go fetch it. We asked her to let us know when she was ready to serve us, and we took our seats to resume our conversation. The bartender returned after a while, and she served one of the original couples ... for another 10 minutes at least. Again we were talking so, while an irritation, it was in the background. About 50 minutes into our visit, she came over and took our drink order. This was my third or fourth visit, and I'd ordered my drink, an old fashioned, before and knew what to expect: bourbon of choice, Luxardo cherry, and a dehydrated orange slice. Ten minutes later we got our drinks. Now mind you, my friend ordered a glass of wine. Nothing time consuming about that. She noted that her pour was smaller than the other times she'd been there. Mine came with the whisky cube already on its way to melted, a broken (a.k.a. piece of) cherry and a twist. What? Where's my glorious little crunchy orange wheel of goodness? I had spied them on the bar earlier. No soup for me! Also, and I can't be sure 100% sure of this, but I tasted neither bitters nor syrup. Was this really just a bourbon rocks? It took a minute but we realized this gal cannot tend and talk at the same time. My friend commented that she had no idea what will happen when the place gets busy, as it has been every other time I've been there. We left after 8:00, after one drink, and for me, $21 lighter. Yeah, it's pricey. And the Carmichael crowd is a discriminating one. So we expected better. Much, much better.

Lone Pine - Chicken piccata with mashed potatoes

But mostly it's for Aaron Hansen, the chef at Lone Pine. He's a semifinalist for the Best Chef: Great Lakes (IL, IN, MI, OH) category. What an honor! I'm curious to see if he gets the medal, but even if not, hopefully this recognition will draw people to visit Lone Pine, because people really need to visit. I don't know how Lone Pine would describe its menu, but I would call it elevated comfort food. One of the things my table ordered was chicken piccata. When was the last time you saw chicken piccata on a menu?! It was delicious, and served with mashed potatoes and lettuce leaves that added a nice, fresh crunch to each bite. We also got the roasted salmon, which was served with fingerling potatoes in a pesto sauce, with arugula on the side. This, too, was delicious and rich, yet fresh. I ordered the short ribs, which came with polenta and caramelized pearl onions. The short ribs were just fatty enough, and the sauce that they were surrounded by was unctuous and wonderful to eat with the polenta. I guess I should have started this review by writing about our first course! We got the French onion soup, bloody Mary wedge salad and the Caesar salad. The Caesar salad at Lone Pine is probably the best Caesar salad that I've eaten in Carmel, and maybe in all of the Indianapolis area. The thing that Lone Pine does differently and spectacularly is that they use breadcrumbs and not croutons. That makes all the difference! Granted, it does look a bit like a pile of pencil shavings on a plate, but sometimes the dowdiest foods are the best-tasting foods. The result is a satisfyingly salty, crunchy, creamy, crispy salad that I couldn't stop eating. I know I will be back to Lone Pine for the Caesar salad. We ended our meal by sharing two desserts: the apple pie panna cotta and the Lone Pine chocolate cake. Both desserts were amazing, but the cake won us all over because it looked deceptively heavy, but it was light and airy, and came with slightly sweet whipped cream. The service at Lone Pine is exceptional. They pay attention to detail here, and all of the little things are taken care of. Our server gave us just enough time between courses. Our water was refilled unobtrusively. We didn't get asked whether we've dined there before (because who cares?) and the menu wasn't over-explained (thank goodness, because I can indeed read). One thing we also noticed that we appreciated: The music was just loud enough to hear it, but not loud enough to notice it too much! It's these little things that come together to make a great dining experience.

My first experience at the restaurant was decent, so I figured we would give it another shot. I recall my first meal being a bone-in pork chop that was overly salted. I'll make my review brief. The restaurant was not too busy but our service was fairly slow, two separate drink orders that were requested never made it to the table, the environment was noisy/music too loud, etc. I decided to go with something very basic for my food order. My thought was, "I'll see how good they are at doing something simple." I got the black and burger cooked to the chef's preferred temperature (medium). My burger came out dry/crumbly/crispy/well done. Yikes. The server did offer to provide a complimentary drink while he asked the chef to prepare another burger (a nice gesture). However, the second burger came out raw (see photo). I'm a medium rare steak guy but this was inedible. The fries were very good. I'm not typically someone who is overly critical of restaurants but for the amount of money you're paying for these meals, the food and service should be excellent. My two experiences were fair and poor. This is very unfortunate because I've visited the sister restaurants (Beholder and Milktooth) many times and have had nothing but great experiences at both. Probably the last time I'll go.

So, I decided to take my dear son to Gringtinos to eat some empanadas, because this Latin-ish restaurant has several different varieties on the menu. We sat down, looked at the menu, and my son wanted a cheeseburger, instead. Oh, kids! You gotta love them, right? (Right?) Luckily, Gringtinos has a kids menu that includes a cheeseburger, as well as a quesadilla and boneless wings. The service was OK, but we had to ask for plates, even though the server saw us dripping empanada juice all over our napkins. (It's like, hello! Yes, plates would be good. Bring us plates.) I'm also not a fan of servers not writing down my order, and instead, trying to memorize everything I say. I'm not impressed! It makes me stressed! Please, for the love of everything that's holy, just write down my order. It's truly OK to write things down. I promise. The construction around Gringtinos is murder, but don't fret. There is parking in the back, off of a gravel road. Once you park, enter through the back and you're good to go.

Aside from the bar, the restaurant wasn't busy. The service was lackluster and inattentive. We…read morewanted to try it because of the reviews praising the food. That was now our experience. We thought the meals tasted very average and were a bit pricy. The staff was nice, but we won't be going back.
