    Seating is sooo comfy

I seriously want this place to make it in the Village of West Clay area. You walk into a speakeasy vibe with some 1920s decorations and you feel taken back into another time. The relaxation feel is there with the sophisticated seating that is adorable but also comfortable. I would not change a thing in here! I noted in a review that there was a complaint of the lighting, when we were at the wine bar, the lighting was perfect. Not too bright to blind, but not too low to not allow you to read the menu or see well. The place just kept filling up and we were excited to see everyone coming in to enjoy the ambience and wine. Great place to take friends for a drink before dinner or even for dinner with the smaller menu. Now, to the real part, the wine! The owner Quynh was one of the first to greet us and make us feel so welcome. Everyone was ready to help and describe the process of getting to the self-serve wine, but they were not overbearing at all. They tried to allow you talk and mingle but also be there if you needed anything. PROS: Super cute, great seating areas that are comfy parking is not bad, still in the Village of West clay, but doable Good wine choices, from mid cost to higher cost Charcuterie was great, did not try other choices, will next time Easy to walk to from other surrounding businesses and a great started before dinner in West Clay CONS: Just remember you are using a card, not seeing what you are spending Some limited choices, hoping they rotate new wines Excited to see this place grow and we will be back, but maybe on a bike next time!

I went here one evening for a free wine tasting and overall I found it enjoyable. The gentleman hosting the tasting was friendly and personable. The staff that actually work at Q's were just ok. They weren't rude but also not friendly. The space was clean and well kept. Wine options were plenty and the pouring system was pretty easy to navigate, though I would say it's a good thing I'd been to a similar bar bc the staff didn't offer to show us how to use it or go over anything regarding the card system etc.. I know they're still pretty new, so I give grace for this, but I think customer service could use some work.

WOW! Stopped into Q's this week and THIS wine bar is what Carmel and Indy has been missing. Q was very welcoming in explaining the check-in process and showing how everything works. Over 20 self-serve wine options on tap allowed us to try a variety of 2 oz pours before finding one we really liked for a full glass. Whites, reds, and bubbles all at different price points. All VERY well picked out. Food menu has a variety of small plates, flatbreads, and charcuterie boards. We tried the meatballs (so good), burrata, an Asian Flatbread and Carrot Cake for dessert. All the food was SOOO good. Will definitely be back soon!

You don't have to go to California or the Bourbon Trail for a great wine and bourbon tasting…read moreexperience because right in the little town of Zionsville is an amazing tasting bar. The bar is owned and locally operated by Ron Hopwood. Ron makes and bottles his own wines and bourbons. Most of the grapes are locally grown. I have passed by his bar for years because I was skeptical of Midwest wines until I had a bottle of his chardonnay at the local pizzeria. The chardonnay was so smooth and delicious, that I walked down the street to his tasting room. The cozy upscale bar is FILLED with Hopwood wines and bourbons. He offers tastings or you can buy a bottle or glass. and sit at one of his lovely tables and sip. He even sells charcuterie boards and dipping breads to pair with your wine. Awards for the wines cover a wall. Ron is most proud of winning the 2019 American Wine Societies award for best cabernet sauvignon. The wines are inexpensive and they offer special pricing to Club members. To be a member, one needs to commit to buying 2 bottles/month or 2 cases/year. It's such a great deal that I am going back over this week to join. Ron has special events for Club members! Hopwood is a great place to sneak away on a date or with your bff. It is cozy and delicious.

Unfortunately, I did learn that Hopwood Cellars is closing its doors for good in June, so it was a good thing I came back to visit. Hopwood Cellars is one of the best wineries in Indiana that I have been to since living in Indianapolis. The owner is a great guy and very friendly and helpful to the customers. His staff is very knowledgeable on the wines, and the ambiance is beautiful. The Cabernet Sauvignon is my personal favorite wine. They also have a great Chardonnay as well. The winery does sell flights of wine so you can sample a few wines. The wine milkshakes are supposedly out of this world, so I would stop by before the end of June 2025 to try one, or else you will miss out on the opportunity. The bar area goes around the facility and is very nice. They have a wine sample card you can purchase to try a bunch of wines as well. The staff definitely knows what they are doing, and they are very professional on presenting the wines. I'm sad that Hopwood Cellars is closing this year because it was a good winery and one of my favorites in Indiana. I wish the owner nothing but the best, but I know he will succeed in whatever business he decides to do next. Farewell to Hopwood Cellars Winery! We will miss you!

Appetizers - pretty yummy WTF roll - 9/10 had dried Wagyu which made it more savory, rice is chewy (in between sushi rice and sticky rice) could be a little less rice; the potato threads were crispy and yum Wagyu Perogi - 7.5/10 was good, but not as meat focused as I was hoping, filling was very soft but I like the pasta dough (had some chew) Entrees were cooked well, I think the flavors were straightforward and not too complex. Chicken Wellington - the pastry dough was as buttery as biscuits. Sauce had dates and the dish was on the sweeter side (I prefer more savory entrees so this was not my taste) My partner ordered this and he loved it Miso Black Cod Fish was done well and not dry. Broth was a bit one dimensional to me. I thought my soba noodles were gonna be the brown ones but they were thicker like ramen white noodles The herbs really captured the pho broth well. I've noticed the effort put into the menu was done really well. I feel like with food fusion, I noticed a lot of things do end up getting misspelled but I noticed the accent and spelling were all correct on the menu. Liz was our server and she was very knowledgeable on the menu also!

Our server, Justin, was attentive and helpful throughout the evening. My partner asked for wine pairing recommendations, and Justin suggested a Pinot Noir that paired well with the meal. I ordered the Lemon Drop Cocktail, which was refreshing and enjoyable. The food was excellent. I ordered the Steak Frites, and my partner ordered the Duck A L'Orange. The steak was cooked to perfection, and the duck breast was tender and flavorful. We also shared the lavender and wild berry cheesecake for dessert. It was a unique offering--the flavors were interesting, although it wasn't my personal favorite. My partner, however, enjoyed it quite a bit. The ambiance of the restaurant is beautiful and elegant. My only complaint was the temperature inside the dining room. We dined indoors on a Saturday evening in mid-July when it was around 90 degrees outside, and the restaurant felt unusually warm and stuffy. I suspect there may have been an issue with the HVAC system, as there seemed to be very little air circulation. My partner was sweating throughout dinner. I'm usually someone who gets cold easily at restaurants and often brings a cardigan, so the fact that I found the temperature uncomfortable was surprising. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant and would happily return, assuming the HVAC issue has been resolved.
