Cute small place for wine. There is a decent selection of wine to choose from. The place has a great atmosphere and doesn't fee too loud.

This is my second time stopping into Solely Wine (first time was for a Yelp event) and both times have been great! When I had first visited and found out that they do wine bingo, I knew I had to come back. My bestie and I used to love going to Wine Market & Table for wine bingo, but after they closed a few years ago we never found anyone else who did it. Solely Wine has solved that! They have a nice selection of wines available by the glass, but they also have a much larger selection of wines, separated by type, that you can buy by the bottle (you can't grab them yourself off the shelf, a staff member has to do that) to open and drink there or take home. My friends and I each started out with just a glass of wine and then ended up buying some bottles to share while playing bingo since we were staying for a few hours and it was a better price point to share bottles. It can get expensive buying by the glass. They also have some snacks/appetizers available for purchase if you get hungry. The inside has lots of different seating options: cozy arm chairs and couches, large family-dinner-style tables, and smaller tables along the windows. They also have a beautiful patio! Towards the back they also have an art gallery and additional seating, although I don't think that space is always open. The bathroom is kept very clean and the staff are helpful and attentive. Soley Wine is a wonderful addition to the area. They have a small parking lot near the Monon, an artistic exterior that's beautiful to see on the street, and a patio for nice weather. I also love that they're connected to an art gallery, it really adds to the overall experience. I came here for a Yelp event and had an amazing time. Inside, the space is peaceful and inviting, with comfortable seating, games to play, and lots of natural light and live plants that create such a relaxing vibe. The owner was incredibly helpful. I wanted to try a wine flight, and she guided me through selecting options based on my preferences. The wine flight comes with four glasses and is about $24, which felt a little on the expensive side. They accept cards and also have a rewards system (which I definitely signed up for). There's a wide variety of wines, from dry to sweet, so there's something for everyone. I really enjoyed my flight. There was one red (Gamay) that wasn't my favorite since I tend to prefer sweet to semi-sweet wines, but I've been trying to expand my palate, which is why I love the option of flights. It also said it paired well with pizza, so maybe if I was eating that, it would be better. I enjoyed browsing their wine selection for purchase. I really admire how everything is well organized and easy to explore. They sell Stellar pretzels which I've had before and are so good, but solely had cinnamon dolce flavor that I never had before, neither had Kiara, so she bought some and I got to try the them (thank you Kiara!), they tasted just like a churro, so delicious, like a dessert! I can definitely see myself coming back here with friends or even just to enjoy the space and unwind. Such a great vibe overall. read more

Solely Wine got me by the cojones, apparently. I visited them twice in one week! But you know how it is with something you love: It's never enough (no Turnstile). This place is all wine, all the time. I'm not even sure they offer any other adult beverage! As a consummate wine fiend, I didn't even consider any other kind of drink, because I don't need any other adult beverage other than wine, you feel me? I love Solely's commitment to wine. They have wine to drink, and also, the walls are lined with bottles of wine. Just don't touch them! If you see an interesting bottle, don't take it off the shelf. Just tell the people at the counter about the bottle you're interested in, and they will help you. I wasn't in the market for a full bottle of wine during my visits -- just a glass. Solely Wine specializes in "unique, low-intervention wines from passionate small producers," according to their website. So whether you buy a bottle or get a glass, you know you're drinking a thoughtfully chosen wine. I had a glass of the Grenache Syrah blend and the Cab Franc, mostly because I rarely see these kinds of wines offered in the wild. They were both delicious! My only comment is that the pour is very small. The Cab Franc especially felt like it was maybe 4 ounces! I have weighed my wine at home, so I know roughly what a typical wine pour (5 ounces) looks like, and this felt like slightly less. Nevertheless, I thoroughly enjoyed my wine! And the ambiance is killer. During the day, Solely is a cool place to grab a glass of wine and hang out. It's super close to the Monon Trail, too, so you can just bop over and get a cheeky drink. During the nighttime, the lights are lowered and the ambiance is very romantic and intimate. A great place for a solo drink, and a great place for a romantic date night. read more

Went here with my book club. Ordered 2 bottles of Sauvignon Blanc, a cheese board, and a veggie and hummus board. Loved the ambiance, and there is a small parking lot which was really convenient. There was plenty of seating, and the service was good. In the future I'd probably go for the happy hour from 4-6pm because the prices were a little high. read more

How freaking CUTE! I've seen this place in some of my runs on the monon and finally decided to come in. I did a wine flight and each one was delicious. The ones I chose were more on the drier side but I like my wines dry. The space is so friendly there are games, chairs, tables, and art all around. I had came here for an event. While at the event I decided to buy a wine flight and the Stella dolce cinnamon pretzels as a snack. The employees were very friendly and explained the different wines so that I could try and decide on which wines I wanted for my flight. I got to pick 4 different flavors. I feel that was a good deal especially with it only costing a little over $20. The atmosphere of this facility was warm and I love that it is off the Monnon. If you wanted to sit on the balcony area you could and watch people walking and riding their bikes on the Monnon. While there they have games that you can play. The bathrooms were very clean. Parking was easy to find here due to them having a free parking lot. I would come back here again especially for the good vibes. read more

Came here on a date night with my husband. It was an impromptu stop as we were out early for our dinner reservations. The space is very welcoming and encourages great conversations and relaxation. We bought a bottle and enjoyed it as we chatted at a table. We saw several amazing looking small plates go by and I definitely want to return to try them! I stumbled on Solely Wine after a long day of work. I was looking for a nearby coffee shop and was drawn in by the beautiful mural displayed right off the Monon. I walked in an was amazed by the elegant and inviting decor, and was greeted and served immediately. They have wine by the glass on tap. While the moscato was delicious, the Post Flirtation Orange was the light and refreshing glass I needed. As a pickle lover, the Dill Pickle Dip was a must have. It was even more delicious than I could imagine and I might have to come back just for the dip. This is the perfect place for a solo date, a cute meet-up or even bring a nice journal or book. How did it take me so long to visit this new spot in my neighborhood? Well, I know it's because I've been drinking less and less alcohol but now that I've been here I've discovered there's an abundance offerings despite not drinking much. For starters, they have several nonalcoholic wines, nonalcoholic cocktails, and sparkling tea available. I also can't say enough how much I appreciate that they sell 2 ounce pours of wine, which seems to be my sweet spot of indulgence these days. I wouldn't say that I don't drink completely, but I love a small pour The space is tastefully designed both inside and out. I appreciate the mural along 16th St. and its visibility from the Monon Trail. The staff was very helpful and friendly, and I thought the prices were reasonable. I finally made it to Solely Wine for a little birthday fun after hearing many good things about the place. It was the perfect choice for a relaxed and fun celebration. I can tell that everything is thoughtfully curated here and the vibes are spot on! The owner was working that day and told us all about the wine options for a tasting flight. She is INCREDIBLY knowledgeable and I only half absorbed the info, but I was so impressed and grateful for her help with making a decision. After a while of enjoying my wine flight, I realized I needed a snack to go with it and ordered the veggie plate. It was so good that I went and told everyone at the office the next day how amazing it was. The veggies were all crisp and fresh and the hummus was drizzled with a bright olive oil that brought it to the next level. FYI for those avoiding alcohol that get invited to go here, there is a selection of non-alcoholic mocktails. I saw the Phony Negroni mocktail that I once had in New York and remember loving it. Enjoyed my first visit to Solely Wine. Located at 16th and Monon, it is fairly easy to get to from Downtown or Northside. The inside is modern with a comfortable living room type vibe. There is also a patio area on the outside. Solely Wine carries a curated selection of wines of all types, including reds, whites, sparkling, and orange wines (which I wasn't super familiar with). I ended up trying a dry white and an orange wine, which tasted more like a dry red without the heavy mouthfeel. Suffice to say I enjoyed them both. Wines are available by the glass or bottles. I believe if you purchase for carryout you get 25% off. They are happy to offer a sample before you make your selection. There are some snacks available should you get the munchies. I think we can have wine bars that are more approachable, and Solely Wine fits the bill. With their eclectic wine selections and chill setting, it's definitely worth it to pay them a visit. read more

Almost a regular with 3 visits and I attended a Yelp event here. Great location next to the monon and an up and coming area. From my house to downtown is about 30 minutes to bike and this is exactly half way. I've only came in the evenings, but I bet this would be a great after lunch spot. Lots of great wine here that you usually don't see at the grocery. By the glass or by the bottle, the vibes are great to enjoy either. Get a bottle to go and you get a discount. A few of us came to check out Solely Wine after a Yelp Indy elite event at COHatch just to check it out and see what it was all about. When we walked into the venue, we were very impressed with the ambiance. The selection of wine was very diverse and unique with a price range from $15-$100. The food looked very good and had a beautiful presentation on the plate. The staff were very nice and professional and they were available to answer any questions we had on the wine. The outdoor patio was very nice and looked very comfortable. What I am most happy about is that this is a woman owned business which is rare in Indy, so it is nice to see a successful wine shop being run by women. I did not purchase anything or try any wine/food, so for that reason, I am giving this three stars. The next time I come and actually get a flight of wines or food, then I will update my review. For now, Solely Wine looks like a great place to wind down with friends over a glass of wine and food, so I would come back here again to partake in a flight of wine. read more

I love this little place, and it is conveniently located on the Monon at 1102 E. 16th street! Great place to come before a concert or an evening out. The owner is very personable and always willing to tell you about her wine selections. I prefer to the wine flight board, which is very reasonably priced, so that I can try before I buy a bottle or two. I like the fact that they give you a bowl of either popcorn or potato chips to snack on while you sip. If you want a little more to eat, they also have small bites and a Charcuterie board for purchase. Perfect space to rent for a birthday gathering, bridal shower, etc. Like wine tastings? Went to the grand opening today. You are first greeted by a bright building with a beautiful flower mural. The inside was just as lovely as the outside. The employees were very helpful and let me try a few of the wines. I went with the Bubbly Rose. It was a bit dry but overall I enjoyed the crispness of it. They had other items to purchase besides wine. I got a bag of Rose popcorn I was really excited to try. I do wish they had more outdoor seating. But they had plenty of indoor seating. Absolutely love this place! The wine selections rotate frequently. I came once to get a wine flight which was super fun. The staff were able to describe the wine very well. I came another time to get a bottle with a friend. They have a great selection of wine that you don't typically hear of as much since it's more smaller scale wineries. So, I initially went there on September 19th during a soft opening right before the official grand opening. Solely Wine bar is in Old Northside neighborhood, near the 16th & Monon Trail and very close to downtown. I believed this is now the only wine bar Indy has that's in the city that I can think of. The owner name is Amanda very people person, knows her wines, and can suggest you to some delicious wines. There are plenty of parking spaces in the back of the building, and upon walking in the wine bar there are stairs. I don't recall seeing a lower ramp for people that need it. Once, I was in Solely Wine it's a medium size wine bar, the ambiance very cozy, easy on the eyes, and the right colors. I notice some of the wines bottles are very pretty from a standout wine labels, bedazzled wine cans. Not only does the wine bar offer wine by a sample, glass, or bottle you can purchase snacks as well as wine glasses and champagne glasses. During, my first visit Sept 19th I did sample something wines, ended up purchasing three glasses of wine one was a sparkling wine, and other two red wine. Then, I went back on to Solely Wine a day before my birthday on November 9th on a Sunday, the weather was nice, there were few people inside, and I decided to order a wine flight. Solely Wine does have wine specials during the week, and every other Thursday they have wine bingo which I haven't been yet. I love Solely Wine great location everyone is so helpful on the wines, and I just love a good cozy wine bar. read more
