Perfect day to use my vouchers. Claire was so nice. Our brunch was delicious. The view always is an absolute pleasure. Nice breeze and my guy and I enjoyed our day date. Drinks were great.
Astrea has an amazing view when it come to sunsets! Snag a seat outside if it's available! The venue is very beautiful! I've been to Astrea 3 times. My last visit during brunch was good as far as the service and the tentativeness of the the sever, however the food was lacking. For $18, I'd expect a little more. My potatoes as turkey sausage weren't hot, and the portion of potatoes was small. I asked if those two my items could be warmed or remade and there wasn't a problem with that. When my potatoes came out a second time, they were actually hot and crisp. My other experience in the evening was good. The fries were fresh and the lamb chops were flavorful. I will say the bartenders do a good job with their drinks!
We were greeted when we walked in. Had a great view and service. The food wasnt worth the price but the rooftop was definitely a vibe. Our server was great. Everything was exceptionally clean including the bathroom. The dj had a nice set. Valet parking is $25.
Such a fun brunch spot! Unfortunately, the rain kept us from enjoying the rooftop, but the inside definitely didn't disappoint. The space is super cute and has plenty of great photo opportunities! They were passing out cocktail samples during our visit, which was such a fun surprise and a great way to try something new. Our table ended up sharing a margarita pitcher and a cinnamon roll, both were delicious! Everyone in our group enjoyed their meals as well, so definitely a win all around. Service was good overall, and we never felt rushed while hanging out and enjoying brunch. The only small hiccup was that the extra plates for our cinnamon roll were placed on a nearby table, so we weren't sure if they were actually meant for us. The interaction felt a little awkward when we asked, but it was nothing major and didn't take away from the overall experience. I'd definitely come back, especially on a sunny day so I can finally check out the rooftop!
We came today for brunch and sat on the patio. It was a beautiful view of the city, but really really hot. It would have been alright had we had some water to keep us cool. We hardly saw our server despite there being plenty of staff and not many tables filled. We had we had to go to the host to ask for a carafe of water. The DJ was poppin and we really enjoyed the music. And the food was fantastic. The avocado toast was $17 and it was heaping with greens and avocado. I would definitely recommend. The two eggs meal came with four slices of bacon and some diced potatoes. At $18, it was not worth the price, but was still good. We could have made that at home for less than half the price. I got the orange mocktail and it was fantastic. The problem was I ordered another one and it never came. I guess the server forgot to put it in. My partner got the Morning Ritual and it was super tasty. 10/10 on the cocktails. I think we would have had a way better experience had we not been forgotten in the corner and baking in the sun. We were quite sweaty and ready to leave by the end. We asked for the check and waited 15-20 minutes for it. Probably would not come again.
Went here for a boozy brunch Sunday morning. The vibes & drinks are definitely the shining star of the show. The food was at best mediocre and between our group we had tried multiple things on the menu so I feel like we gave it an honest shot. The avocado toast tasted like Sabra guac and if I'm paying $22 it should at least taste like avocado. The roasted beef brisket hash had an oddly sweet sour cream that was off putting and the meat was a little dry. We also had gotten a Caesar salad (added chicken) and fries. Fries tasted good but they were soggy. The caesar salad came out without chicken and we didn't end up getting the chicken breast until we were done with our salad. The server was nice enough but unorganized and kept forgetting things (sugar, milk for coffee) & had gotten the coffee order wrong (we didn't even bother asking to fix it because it was just a lot ) Also did try the cinnamon roll croissant thing- pretty crispy but that was the texture i expected, the inside was better but needed more of the frosting! I've been here for drinks before & i'd definitely go back for drinks on a summer day but wouldn't go back to dine here unfortunately-- which makes me sad because i was really looking forward to some nice places with this type of vibe downtown.

Only thing I wish they would some kind of steak option but the food was great. Our waiter however was the star of the show. He was with me when I asked of him a special request and I love a person who u descends the assignment, and he definitely did thank you again.
The place is very elegant. We came for the first day of brunch. I want to come back for the burger. The green eggs and ham sandwich was also good. We got a pitcher of mimosa for 5 and it was yummy. I didn't know there was a view like this place. Everyone in the hotel was very kind. From the doors men to the person working in the other restaurant that told us about this place on the rooftop.

First time here for brunch! The food and service are excellent. Cannot beat the views and cocktails either. Addison is awesome and the manager even stopped by to make sure everything was ALL GOOD. And it definitely was! Thank you Yelp and Liza for my brunch vouchers!! Will return again soon.
Great service and cool ambiance on the roof!! Gorgeous hotel too. We tried the girl dinner caesar salad and fries which was $40 plus tax and tip, I just don't think it was worth it personally. The drinks however were fantastic both the espresso martini and other cocktails and reasonably priced ($15 each). Would definitely come back and sit at the bar for a drink!
I loved the view from the rooftop. It's a very cool place to hang out with a drink, and the drinks were fantastic. It was a little weird that the menu mentions their "seasonal" cocktails, which included a "Sugar Plum Spritz" and another with pumpkin spice (in May). The chicken buns were delicious -- perfectly crispy with great flavor. The deviled eggs were a bit bland. After hearing about the supposedly amazing truffle fries, I've got to say, I was a little disappointed. They were fine, and I might even order them again, but I've definitely had better. The truffle flavor was there, but not as intense as I was hoping for. I also prefer the thinner, super crispy type of fries. But service was very good, and I enjoyed the overall experience a lot. I'm glad I came and would gladly go back.

My friend and I each got a few cocktails and split the "girl dinner" on the menu. White Linen - gin, elderflower, lemon, sugar, club soda, cucumber -- 2/5 * I understand cucumber is involved but the drink was VERY pickle-tasting which was overpowering Hugo Spritz - elderflower liqueur, sparkling wine, club soda, lime, mint -- 4/5 * the first few sips we thought it was just plain wine, then we mixed it all up and then it started to taste better! Caipirinha - cachaca, lime, sugar -- 3/5 * sort of a standard Brazilian cocktail you would get but we didn't love it Espresso martini - vanilla infused vodka, espresso, coffee liqueur, cinnamon infused aromatic bitters -- 4/5 * definitely our favorite of the night but not as frothy as I hoped Girl Dinner - large Caesar salad and truffle fries -- 4/5 *just personal preference but I don't care for pickled onions in a salad but overall the salad/dressing was solid / the truffle fries and sauce were perfect! Overall - we would come back but try different drinks. There was a great music playlist going of older hip-hop/rap hits. And the views/ambiance were amazing!

7/10 experience. I will say, my group went super late night around 11pm & got sat with the most unenthusiastic waitress ever. She wasn't rude or anything just curt. Not one of my friends was pleased with their cocktails outside of the one that ordered a bottle of champagne. I was excited for my drink & let down so I asked to order a salad and was told very matter of factly: the kitchen is closed. Be sure to check whether the kitchen is closed before going! The views from Astrea are undeniably beautiful and the vibes are exquisite which is why I gave Astrea the stars that I did. I'm open to try going during the daytime! read more

This is such an awesome space! We came in mid October and the chill was already creeping in. However, the fire pits outside kept us warm with the help of our jackets. We came in the evening and the views of the city were nice, the low glow of the lights on the patio set the vibe. We got an old fashioned and dirty martinis and they were both made really well. The patio has plenty of cozy spots to sit and relax. Our server was also very tentative and welcoming. Such a solid visit! read more
I recently stayed at the Intercontinental and visited Astrea, their rooftop bar. It was the perfect place to grab a small bite, enjoy a creative cocktail, and unwind after a long day of traveling. I opted for a seat at the bar, and the bartender, Zeke, took great care of us. I order the Zen & the Art of Chai, which includes vanilla-infused vodka, chai tea, pumpkin spice, scotch based heather honey liqueur, oat milk, and grated nutmeg. The drink gave big autumn, holiday season, let's go bake some pies vibes. I also ordered the fries with black truffle aioli, and they did not disappoint. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience from start to end. read more
I really wanted to love it. Made reservations for my group. When we arrived we were seated outside in the sweltering heat. We asked if we could get inside and were told NO, that was it. Our server did try to make up for it, even brought us a bucket of ice so we could keep our drinks cool as well as ourselves. The food was decent as were the drinks. The star of the evening were the truffle fries. I have to admit they were spectacular. I see others write about the great view... I didn't find it all that great. Plus you really can't see a thing unless you stand up and go directly to the railings, otherwise you see only the rooftops of other buildings. I found this to be an overpriced, one and done experience. read more
Awesome rooftop! This place has been a hot commodity all summer, and I totally get why. The rooftop overlooks Monument Circle, offering great views if you peek over the edge. They seemed a little understaffed when I visited, but our service was still excellent. Definitely order the truffle fries! They also have weekly specials, so be sure to check those out. We'll be back, can't wait to see how they decorate for the holiday season! Ps -- To reach the rooftop, press letter B on the screen next to the elevator. That will ring the only elevator that goes to the rooftop on the 11th floor. There's no signage, so we ended up going to the floor of the hotel lobby to ask! read more

I'm so glad this place is open. We are definitely adding it to our list of regular spots. Classy and upscale. Luxury without breaking the bank, this lounge is a jewel to the city. For my birthday hubby and I were taking a tour of rooftop lounges downtown and found Astrea. Located in the Intercontinental hotel, on the 11th floor. In my opinion, it was quiet for Saturday night., but I think the weather deterred everybody from going out. They had the outdoor patio closed because of that, but I'll definitely be going back to try it. Peyton, our server was nice and attentive. Although we were only there for beverages, he was on top of everything! Kitchen closes at 10, but I plan on going back and trying some of their shareable bites. I'm loving the vibe there. Stop by for yourself and get a beautiful view of monument circle and surrounding downtown. This definitely won't be out last visit. read more

Astrea, my gosh you are THE vibe! My sister and I decided to visit for a girl's night out and everything from the food, the DJ, drinks and let's not get started on the view, just beautiful! We were a little late to our reservation (by 10minutes) and the hostess was not very friendly about it but our server was so sweet, that I forgot about the hostess' attitude. For food, I ordered the oysters Rockefeller and truffle fries both were 10/10. For drinks, the Cava Prosecco & our waitress suggested a Hugo Spritz and it's easily become my new favorite and go-to drink. Overall, I will most certainly be back at Astrea and I hope they have outdoor heaters for the cooler months! read more

This place is absolutely fabulous! The ambiance and drinks were a 10 out of 10!! We sat at the bar and the bartenders were very attentive and fun to talk to. Food was limited but they do have a few small plates to choose from. We had a Caesar salad and crab ravioli with caviar. They were both delicious! They have lots of outdoor seating and fabulous views. Give this place a try on a nice warm day! read more
This rooftop bar is really big. I came downtown with family to check out pop up holiday bars. This wasn't a pop up bar, but it was uniquely decorated for Christmas. They had a special holiday drink menu and we all tried something different. The drinks were ok, the hot drink was sent back because it wasn't hot. My rosemary sprig was smoking a bit, but failed to impart infused smokiness. Our server was very nice and I would come back here in the summer to enjoy the extensive rooftop area and view of the monument circle. read more

The Intercontinental is one of my favorite hotels. I really enjoy their bars and restaurants. Astrea is a luxurious bar that offers an amazing ambiance. I chose just to sit at the bar. The bartender was very friendly. I decided to have a cocktail off their seasonal menu. I was so surprised that the seasonal cocktails were only $10. I got the Sugarplum Spritz and it tasted like Christmas in a glass. It was beautiful and delicious. Definitely going to add Astrea as an annual stop for seasonal cocktails. read more
My friends and I wanted to check out Astrea for drinks and rooftop views. Unfortunately, our reservation didn't indicate outdoor seating, so we started inside but were eventually able to take some photos near the empty tables outside. Depending on where you sit, the view of the city can vary, and some spots don't offer the best angle. As for the drinks, they were fine but nothing spectacular. Menu is definitely on the pricey side. read more

Our experience was top notch and I can't wait to go back! We stopped by randomly on a Sunday when they weren't busy and were lucky to find a relaxed, yet lively atmosphere. The staff were friendly and engaged with providing a great experience. We both loved our cocktails and devoured the truffle fries. Everything seemed to have a little extra special touch- from the branded ice and cocktail garnishes to the fancy furniture and everything in between. The views are amazing and would be even better with the windows open in the summer. FYI - they have a DJ on Fridays and Saturdays, so I've heard that the vibe is a little different and busier on those days. read more

I was excited to check out Astrea while visiting Indy, but unfortunately, I left underwhelmed. The atmosphere is sleek, upscale, and modern. The highlight of the evening was definitely the cocktails. I ordered the Nunya Beeswax II (a bourbon-based drink) and my friend had the Circle City Sour (vodka-based). Both were beautifully crafted and delicious. Where the experience fell short was in service and food. Our server seemed distracted and rarely checked in, which left the evening feeling a bit neglected. The charcuterie plate was especially disappointing for the price. It was very small and underwhelming. Astrea advertises itself as "the highest rooftop bar in Indianapolis." While it may technically be one of the taller rooftops at 11 stories, the space felt small and the views were not particularly impressive, especially with taller or similar-height buildings nearby. The marketing sets expectations for sweeping skyline views, but the reality did not quite deliver. I share this so others go in with realistic expectations. Overall, Astrea works if you are looking for a well-made cocktail in a stylish setting, but the service, food value, and views need to catch up with the price point and branding. read more

WOWZER. Decided to go to the top of Soldiers Monument and while looking out the cleaned glass (seriously, it was clean and no smudges) we noticed this wonderful restaurant on a rooftop at the Intercontinental. I have never descended those stairs so fast in my life! New rooftop bar.....I am in! We were worried about getting through the hotel as we were not staying there, but no issues. Got to the elevator and went to Astrea!!!! We were warmly greeted and brought to a cute 4-top outside. There were many couch and lounge areas as well. It was a beautiful day, although slightly cold, but a beverage fixed that! Ordered up some Old Fashions and had a grand old time. We even dipped in for the Truffle fries with an aoli! Seriously, everything was great. On top of that, we had the most amazing server that impressed us! Newly opened but a great selection of wines and spirits. We will be back!!! PROS: View, literally everywhere the view Great Service Wonderful selection of drinks Downtown, good space Food looked great, did not try it all CONS: Parking may be an issue it is downtown Space outside is good, but not huge, I can see it getting busy! read more
If you like roof tops, classy drinks and shareable dishes this is a great spot for that. Service is great they literally are always coming back at the right moment. I recommend the old fashion, manhattan and an espresso martini to finish you off. Views are great, def request to be inside if it's the middle of the day, but at night this place is a dime to sit outside. read more

Great new rooftop bar in downtown Indy. This is on the top floor of the newly renovated Intercontinental Hotel. I was a little surprised to see how dead it was in here but I suspect that might change when the weather is nicer. Service was good but there was a little confusion about paid water on the table. I ended up receiving the premium water after being given tap water, the premium water was provided right before leaving so it felt like a bill raiser which was kind of slimy. Not to worry I chugged the water that I had to pay for. Aside from the one knock I enjoyed this spot, hopefully the outdoor area will be open next time. read more
On our way to another event, we decided to stop at this new rooftop spot in downtown Indianapolis. We are glad we stopped. We were kindly greeted on the first floor and informed that Astrea would be on the 11th floor. Let me say, the elevators are nice and gold with marvelous marble floors. So far so good. As the doors opened to the 11th floor we were impressed. We were immediately greeted and asked a few questions. We decided to sit at the bar since we wouldn't be there too long. This is a cute little space that seems spacious at the same time. There was a small function going on but this didn't get in the way of us enjoying the atmosphere and taking it all in. Once seated at the bar, we were greeted by two amazing ladies that took care of us. I got the Nunya Bees Wax which is a slight play of an old-fashioned but of course sweeter and my friend asked for a cute and sweet drink and that's exactly what she got. All in all this was a great experience and we will be back whether the patio is open or closed:) Hannah and Liz provided great customer service and they were fun to talk to. Also, a special thanks to Russel. We stopped on the 2nd floor where the front desk and a small quiet bar is located. Russel provided great knowledge about the hotel and took us on a quick and small tour of the hotel. He was delightful. Asters impressed me! It was a really beautiful rooftop with a perfect view of monument circle. The outside area is seat yourself, but you had to have a reservation to get up to the rooftop in general. The staff was really kind and knowledgeable. I loved the small menu - the cocktails were delicious and unique. Their glassware was adorable too, not generic at all. The truffle fries were exactly as expected & had a lot of rosemary and parm on them. I can't wait to go here in the summer with friends! It's the most perfect location. read more

I went here on a Saturday night and really enjoyed it. The service was friendly and helpful all around. The ambiance is lovely, with a modern and well designed aesthetic. Every food item was delicious. My only complaint is portion size. For the price, most items are way too small (especially the fries). Cocktail was yummy! We also ordered a bottle of rosé that was good and decently priced. read more
