2 Sliders with Lobster Mac 'n Cheese
    Erika J.

This is right up my alley--an upscale atmosphere but not too pretentious (casual). The 2 sliders with Mac 'n cheese was the perfect amount of food. I paid the $8 to upgrade the mac to lobster mac...so delicious & so worth it (the upgrade was so unnecessary but so necessary, iykyk!). I also love that they allow you to mix & match on the sliders (filet, fried shrimp, or wagyu beef with Brie). I went with 1 filet and 1 wagyu beef, which was also perfect! Would love to try the fried shrimp at some point. The accompanying aiolis perfectly complemented the sliders! I completed my meal with a lemon drop martini. Service was friendly & attentive. Will definitely keep this spot in mind the next time I return to Indy & would highly recommend to others. In fact, I found it superior to my experience @ Harry & Izzy's--much more my vibe!

Amazing drinks! Great food! Great service! Loved the ambiance! We will definitely go again the next time we are in Indianapolis.

Step into the prohibition era when entering this old time speak easy. It just has that feel here. The bar is just magnificent in itself. The lights are low and the music is softly in the back ground. Enjoy a small meal here, sliders, shrimp cocktail, mac'n'cheese... it's all good. The cocktails are nice and boozy, but not overpowering. Let's just say the barkeepers know what they are doing. So for an upscale speakeasy experience, this is the place to be.

St Elmo Cola (AHHH-mazing) and Lemondrop (also soooo good)

We had a little difficulty finding the place (it is above St Elmo!) but it was worth the search. We were dressed for an event and wanted to do something special and 1933 was the perfect spot. The place is gorgeous. Every single thing is beautiful. We loved learning about the history in the bar menu. Ladies-go check the bathroom The drinks. OMG the drinks. The St Elmo Cola was fantastic. The lemon drop was perfectly balanced and refreshing. The service was the best we experienced in our visit. We loved the stop.

This is the bar above St Elmo's and Harry & Izzy's. There's a separate exterior door you can use to go directly upstairs. Once upstairs, you see that this is one of the most popular after-work watering holes in town. The place was packed on Wednesday at 5:30 PM. It probably didn't help that Devour Indy was going on this week. I managed to snag a spot at the bar after asking the very nice bartender if skmeone was sitting at an empty barstool (she booted someone who had left his coat on the back of the chair but was wandering around chatting with people). Happy hour drinks were we'll-priced and there is a large selection of eligible items.

Were there on Saturday evening around 730pm & the place was SLAMMED with people! We did manage to find a table within about 10 minutes of arriving, and in the meantime a nice couple offered us the chairs opposite of them in front of the fireplace. We ordered a few cocktails, the filet sliders w/ mac & cheese, their amazing shrimp cocktail, chicken wing lollipops, and bourbon cake. Although they were super busy, the server did a terrific job of getting our orders taken quickly and checking on us frequently. Our drinks & food came out pretty quickly, & everything was delicious - as expected! An unexpected favorite was the chicken lollipops. I didn't really know what to expect, but they were nicely charred, the meat was flavorful and tender, and the sauce was delicious. I could have eaten two orders of these because they were that tasty. The other star of the meal (aside from the delicious cocktails) was that bourbon cake. It was warm and only slightly sweet, which was a nice contrast to the vanilla ice cream. All the other diners packed into those tiny rooms were obviously enjoying themselves and it was a nice vibe. Everyone was so polite and pleasant, which is exactly what one hopes for but doesn't always get with crowded places. Once again, a fantastic meal and experience at St Elmo's!!!

Beautiful atmosphere and amazing food! Everything was done perfectly and allergy issue was taken and then the manager came over to make sure as well. I'll say although everything was perfectly done the service really didn't shine once we got seated. Our waitress had 2 other tables which were 2 and 4 people. We were also a table if 4. The restaurant wasn't packed as it was 2 pm. She wasn't attentive. It started with our devour menu. She went to make sure we could order dinner and didnt come back for almost 10 minutes. Then she didn't bring us the menus so we waited another 5 for her to remember that part. Our drinks took about 10 more minutes. Mind you even the bar had no one yet and yes it's the bartender at that point. Left a sour taste in our visit from almost the beginning. During devour you'd think everything shined but she had us distracted. In all I definitely recommend this restaurant. It's beautiful and above board with their food. The service just needs to shine as much as the rest of it did

    Espresso Martini w/ Tequila

I've here before but it's been a while. Came with my mom and uncle from out of town for a couple of drinks and lil bites to eat. - Ambiance: Nice and laid back. Interior is nice with a speakeasy flare. Music is set at a good volume. If you get cold easily I'd suggest bringing a light jacket - Server: I came dressed in leggings and an anime t-shirt and our server treated us just the same as some upscale patrons that come dressed in suites. Abbie was our server and she was a delight and someone I'd look for just for her vibes alone! She held great conversation as long as you kept it real and acted humble. Love her tbh. Suggested the espresso martini with tequila and it was chefs kiss I would come again. Drinks have a good kick to them in the $10-$17 dollar range but honestly worth it. I believe they do have a happy hour, just haven't had the pleasure to make it to one yet.

This is a great hidden gem in the heart of downtown Indianapolis right above the iconic St. Elmo's. 1933 lounge serves a menu of smaller plates and appetizers, including the world famous st Elmo's shrimp cocktail! There is also a full bar with a great list of signature drinks and generous pours from their whiskey list. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a classy environment with great ambiance, food, and service! Can get a table or take a seat at the bar!

Spinach Dip - comes with salsa & sour cream

We had such a fun happy hour at 1933 Lounge. The vibes were dark but cozy, as we chose to sit in the room off the bar outfitted with leather couches and chairs. One of our friends said we must try the shrimp cocktail here because it's a famous Indy staple & that the cocktail sauce/horseradish mix would really clear our sinuses out. The shrimp cocktail comes with 4 large shrimp & we each tried one - delicious. We also split the warm spinach dip & it came with ample chips which is always a plus. The spinach dip was $10 on happy hour & was a surprising amount of food which filled us all up. The bartender was attentive & helped us scope out the happy hour deals. Overall great experience & we will be back in the future.

The Wagyu sliders are an addiction. They have consistently provided quality drinks no matter what I ask, so that speaks to high bartender standards. Servers are always so attentive no matter how packed ( it was super packed last time I went). 4 stars only- because they don't let you order fries downstairs and combine with your sliders when they bring them upstairs lol....all of the food is coming from downstairs ... wtf not lol? Very cool place to have a Lowkey happy hour meetup, date, etc.

Two sliders and Mac and cheese with king crab topping

I walked into this place after reading some really great yelp reviews. And it did not disappoint. It's attached to Saint Elmo's steakhouse. In fact, I think the kitchen is Saint Elmo steakhouse. The lounge has moody vibes; a fireplace and dim lighting, it's a perfect place to hang out with a significant other, a girlfriend, or even just yourself. I am not a mac & cheese kind of girl at all. In fact I can count on the fingers of one hand the amount of times I've eaten mac & cheese in my life. But somehow that evening I needed something comforting. So I ordered the two slider dish which came with a side of mac & cheese, and i am so glad I indulged and got the king crab topping. The Wagyu beef and brie slider was ridiculously tender, and the contrast of the brie with the tender beef made for a really flawless, gastronomic experience. You almost didn't need to chew. The filet mignon bite was really fantastic as well. The sauces/dips were completely unnecessary -- tasty, but not needed. The mac & cheese, well, let me just say that I finished Every. Last. Bite. Not overly goopy, cheesy. A perfect, al dente, pasta, a really great combination of cheeses, and the ocean-tasting king crab made for a really great contrast and added an excellent textural element as well. I chose a cocktail called The Last Word - Citadel Gin by Journeyman, Chartreuse Verte, Luxardo Maraschino liqueur and lime, and it did not disappoint. Strong, we'll balanced and dangerously delicious. And finally I rounded out this incredible meal with a Madagascar bourbon Brown Butter Cake with a caramel sauce drizzle and Madagascar vanilla bean ice cream. This meal was so off brand for me. I never order pasta or dairy based foods, and I don't usually like cake. But, I'm glad I took a chance. It was a most wonderful meal and I really enjoyed sitting by the fireplace reading my book, sipping on a delicious cocktail and enjoying the atmosphere.

This speakeasy is a cool find with good drinks and a great vibe. The service was okay but it was packed, thought my husband I were able to get seats at the bar. The spinach artichoke dip is to die for, the Pinot Grigio smooth (and reasonably priced) and my husband like his mule (but not the old fashioned which he said was a bit syrupy). Definitely swing by here for after dinner drinks or happy hour.

So friendly and helpful with drink recommendations. And she was spot on! She suggested a cocktail not on the menu, a Tequila Sunrise with Peach Schnapps. Something I'd never had before. It was divine! My husband had the Paradox Paloma - also tasty. We asked for Tequila Old Fashioneds for round 2. Delicious! Our fried plantain appetizers took no time to come out. Their menu changes seasonally, so even if you've been before, you'll usually find new creations alongside their signature cocktails. The drinks are true works of art, both in flavor and presentation. On my most recent visit, I tried a cocktail off the Pride menu called the Stonewall, and it was absolutely delicious. It had a beautiful pink color, and I loved the glass it was served in. The presentation is always top notch. Service was good. The drink was also only $10, which is pretty cheap for the quality compared to other places.
