Located right in the middle of a residential neighborhood, it's the kind of place where you'll second-guess your GPS until you're at the front door. I visited in January, and "authentic" apparently applies to the temperature, too--it was pretty dang chilly inside, so you might want to keep your coat on while you eat! Breaded Pork Tenderloin (an Indiana classic): This was the star of the show. It's massive and delicious. I paired mine with the Hot Pot Pig, and dipping part of the tenderloin into it was a game changer. I saw some online reviews calling it "life changing"--while I wouldn't go quite that far, it's easily one of the better ones I've had. Just a heads up: it's a heavy meal. You probably shouldn't eat more than one of these a month if you value your heart health! Spicy Buffalo Blue Cheese Chips: These were okay, but honestly not worth it. I'd skip these next time and save the room for something else. The Pie: I didn't have any room left to try a slice, but they looked fantastic behind the counter. Service & Atmosphere The staff here are super friendly and welcoming. Even though it's a modest setup, the service was incredibly fast, and we had our food in no time. I was very surprised by how great my experience at Ralph's Great Divide was. I was invited by a friend who is becoming a regular here and I had high hopes coming in. The service, especially from Jennifer, was great and she kept up with all of our needs throughout dinner. I ordered the hot pot pig potato soup and it was the best potato soup I have ever had. I also got a toasted turkey sandwich which was so fresh and the fries were hot and crispy, a must try. This was a fun place to try. Thanks to the contributors on Reddit for directing me here. I absolutely had to try the pig Aug (which I finally learned was au gratin) and it was good. It was a little on the salty side but the baked cheese and ham on top were excellent. I enjoyed it. The loaded nachos were fair, but it was with chili with beans instead of a Mexican meat which is not normally how we have nachos in the southwest. Still, the whole wheat chips were yummy. The cake was perfect. Light and tasty, letting the toffee be sweet instead of overdoing the sugar. The staff were super friendly. The restaurant has fun old decorations and some card games to play. The others with me had sandwiches and burgers which were fairly standard. Definitely try the soup. read more

This is definitely a dive bar in the shadow of downtown Indy. They have a decent patio when the weather is better. We thought we could give it a try as we were downtown. I ordered the lunch special, half sandwich and side and ordered a cup of soup to go with it. The soup was called Hot Pot Pig, it was a creamy potato soup with bacon, pepper jack, and cheddar. I ordered German Potato Salad and a Chicken Salad Sandwich on whole wheat toast. Chicken salad was really good and the bread was nicely toasted. The German potato salad may have been the tangiest German potato salad I have had, maybe a touch too much vinegar. The pig soup was fine and cheesy but I probably would not order again just because I am not too big on cheese soups. I asked for a boozy but slightly sweet drink and they came up with something for me, a Captain Morgan and pineapple base, it was good. Our waitress was super friendly and lunch was reasonable at 23.83 prior to the tip. Good little spot to stop at for a quick bite when you are downtown Indy. What a hidden gem this place is! Happened to meet a couple guys at at Sun King and they recommended this spot. It's literally right around the corner. When we walked in we were greeted right away! And bonus- they had a band playing. They were really good too. They had the lights stringing all around and the beautiful trees were shading the patio it was just so nice. I never made it inside so can't speak to that. They have a menu that primarily consists of sandwiches, salads, finger foods. I ordered a turkey sandwich (cold cut) which was really good. It came with a side of your choice and I picked side salad. They don't have French fries btw. The service was great, the people were extremely friendly and I really had a great time. This a a great hole in the wall local bar/restaurant. It has a decent sized private parking lot. It does not look like much when you walk in, but it is home to some really good food. It has an awesome chill vibe. You can order take out, eat in the dining area or chow down on the outside patio. The patio is nice and very eclectic. There is also a full bar in the restaurant that you can eat at too. It was a nice day so I ate out there. The service there is top notch. The server was very friendly and attentive. The restaurant is know for their ham and deserts. i heard a lot about their ribs too. I ordered the cordon blue sandwich and it was awesome. I got a side of german potato salad too. It was decent. I enjoyed my meal and time there so much so that I got one of their desserts to-go. Once I heard blackberry cobbler, I was like yes please. Then a bowl of the best potato soup I have ever had . It was loaded with delicious cheese And loads of potatoes with a creamy stock . My friend suggested we have coconut cream pie for dessert. I told her that was my least favorite pie, so but decided to try it, and it was light as a feather and was so delicious and found out it was homemade probably with real cream, fresh grated coconut, had to be home made pudding never forget that and the crust was amazing too. It was so filling that I actually skipped getting an entrée, but I did leave room for dessert. Boasting a variety of house-made cakes and cobblers, I went with the tangerine cake to try to take my brain to more summertime days. I was not disappointed! They served up a generous slice of white cake with plump tangerine accents, that was not too sweet and was very pleasing to my palate. We could tell that our server took pride in telling us that the cakes were made fresh on site, and we loved that energy and pride that she took in her craft. Oh, and if it matters to anyone, they serve up Coke products including Coke Zero which is my personal guilty pleasure. Needless to say, we will definitely be back on a regular basis. After looking at all the pics of food on Yelp, I definitely want to try the prime rib and rack of ribs. While Ralph's Great Divide made Bon Appetit Magazine's list of great Midwestern neighborhood restaurants several years ago, I love this Lockerbie Square haunt for its congenial & gracious staff & welcoming atmosphere. The place is half restaurant, half bar with a giant cooler decked out with stained glass doors. Walls are adorned with Indy 500 & Colts memorabilia & historic photos of downtown Indianapoils & the Lockerbie Square neighborhood. COVID-19 led to an expanded patio; a great place to enjoy a cocktail, weather permitting. The bacon horseradish dip makes for a great starter. I love the beef tenderloin skewers & pea salad. Their signature Hot Pot Aug, a kind of combination of scalloped & au gratin potatoes, is a must try. The bourbon baked ham is also delicious. This hidden gem is absolutely perfect! I checked this place out for lunch awhile back and remembered to check it out for dinner recently. They are known for their Bourbon Baked Ham sandwiches at lunch and rightly so. They are amazing! I was craving that and the waitress was nice enough to give me a lunch menu. Their dinner menu is full of steaks, pork chops, etc. I saw and smelled a lot of steaks while there. I could tell they are top notch And I will be trying them next time. The food was absolutely delicious, but I told my husband before it came out that even if the food had been terrible, I wanted to come back soon.
