We walked a long way to The Ball & Biscuit for a few drinks. Though it was busy, we were easily able to find a table for our group of six. I love the look of the place, lots of wood and brick. The windows out front open to let in fresh air. It gets direct sunlight in the evening, at least in May, so be aware. And another thing... I recommend taking a picture of the cocktail menus because they change often. Taking my cue from pics of drinks on yelp, it appears we had a Saludos a la familia, a Forbidden Fruit and an Espressotini. The Espressotini seems to be a standard, and it was delicious. The Forbidden Fruit is the drink with a marshmallow set on fire and the Salads a la familia is the frothy, yellow drink. All of the cocktails were delicious. I don't think you can go wrong. I was in town for a training and came here for a social networking event with colleagues, and it could not have been a better choice. We sat outside on a beautiful day, and the atmosphere was perfect for conversation. I've been here 4 times and have only had one drink that I truly liked, others were fine. Today, for the first time in my entire life, I sent back a drink that I could not stomach after just half a sip. We weren't checked on until others in my party were completely done with their drinks. This was on a day when it was extremely hot and humid outside so their air conditioning was cold and welcoming. Our server was nice. We had a few drinks, I don't remember now what they were but mine had some Swedish fish candy in it and my mate's had mustard in it, and it came with a cute, teeny tiny knife instead of a toothpick for the oranges. A cocktail bar has no business serving pretzels this delicious. They were SO good. -Ball & Biscuit provides a carafe of water and glasses at your table so you can stay hydrated. A+ for anyone looking to feel okay after their drinks. -If you love coffee but aren't so fond of the bitter espresso martinis going around, you're going to LOVE the "You don't have to tell me how good my coffee is, Okay?" drink. It's like a coffee milkshake without the milkshake thickness. -Not sure what you want to drink? They have a "drink roulette" you can play with too. That's too unpredictable for my Type A self, but that's super cool. -Lots of great seating options. They have bar seating, couches, armchairs, low-top tables, high-top tables, and more. Okay. I am obsessed with this bar. I was in town visiting for a friend from college's wedding and with my other group of girlfriends, we decided to look for some local bars to hit up. They have some good shareable items like cheese & meat platters and dips and whatnot. Everything we ate was so tasty. The names of the drinks are so great. They have entire menu selection dedicated to Stepbrothers and names of drinks associated with the movie. I wish I could recall the drink I got, but it was a mezcal drink because I loooove mezcal. It said it had some chile in it, so I asked our server if it was spicy. He was super honest and said not too spicy, just a little kick. He was absolutely right. It was definitely the right amount of spice. I ended up ordering two, which I hardly do with craft cocktails. I love B&B!! I finally got to actually sit down and order cocktails here today, the first 2 times we just got takeaway cocktails due to covid. I have never had a place have consistently good cocktails that I thoroughly enjoy more than B&B! They have fun names, seasonal menus, great decor, friendly staff, and are still doing takeaway cocktails- everything you want! They also occasionally do brunch and they have food in their menu as well. They have an outdoor seating area as well as seating inside that is nicely spaced out for covid times. The chairs are extremely comfortable. Everyone was wearing a mask if they were not at their table and the waitstaff made sure you felt comfortable.
