I love rooftop bars so I'm always on the lookout for new ones. Came across this one through Yelp so had to check it out myself. This bar is inside of Intercontinental hotel on the 11th floor. For downtown Indy, you can find meter parking or pay to park at a lot. I think they have valet, we didn't do that this time so don't know about the price. The vibes inside were nice, good atmosphere. It was quite busy when we came, they have two party rooms inside that looked busy. Indoor seating is available along with the rooftop deck seating. We told the host we wanted to sit outside, and it took about 15 minutes to be seated. The view of our seats was amazing, the monument circle was right there and lit up, so pretty. That was the best thing about this, the view. They close at 1am and it was close to closing time so we just got a drink and chilled. The service was not the best, probably because they were really busy and it was close to closing. I didn't like my drink and my server never came back to ask. The fact that it's a rooftop bar with a great view is why I will return. read more

We didn't have reservations, but we're still able to get in at the bar! The bar is beautiful and the bartenders are amazing! Super attentive, great recommendations! They have an extensive drink menu! We didn't order from the menu but instead opted for our usual classic drink orders. I ordered a Dirty Shirley requested to be made with Tequila instead of Vodka and my husband ordered Jack and Coke! Both drinks were made perfectly! The kitchen had just closed when we got there, but we were able to order dessert! The bartender recommended one of their chef's raspberry seasonal desserts; which was vanilla cake swirled with raspberries and coated in a raspberry buttercream, with chocolate ribbon and sprinkling of candied peanuts with fresh cream and berries on the side! Literally a 10/10! We celebrated our anniversary here and it was nothing short of amazing. The view from the rooftop is amazing during the sunset. After the Fountain room, my boyfriend and I went here and he surprise me with reservations and even a poem that the waitress wrote for me on his behalf! Such a beautiful night, such a beautiful rooftop and such a beautiful experience... They were super busy that night, and my only feedback would be assigned servers to order drinks and food... Each year I host a Mother's Day lunch and this year's location was Astrea. I like to be detailed so this may be a bit long but stick with me. Keagan Fife (Manager) - A team player, receptive to feedback and conscientious. We had a issue while there and he was able to step in and problem solve with me and come up with a solution that really won us over. We had a moment where it was feeling a bit "why did we come here" but his customer service exceeded expectation. That's good management. (He's the gentleman in the video below.) Let's get the negative out the way 1st. The first waitress asked if we wanted anything to drink. I told her we hadn't received menus. She came back sat them down and walked away. We never saw her again. A new waitress came and she seemed pleasant enough. Once we were all seated she began to take our orders. She made a point to say she needed to write it all down or she was get it mixed up. She then did not write anything down. Our food came out extremely slow but that wasn't a huge deal because we all were mingling. A lot of her team had to step in and deliver our food, give drinks, check on us etc. She was pretty non existent. Two of the ladies never received food. This was after we had been there for 2 hours and everyone else had received their items. At the end when we asked for our check they were all mixed up and confused. The waitress then blamed us for adding things and moving around. We never moved once and she only came around the one time when she originally took our orders. We never got a chance to add things. (it was quite comical that she tried to say that) I ended up asking for manager because she seemed overwhelmed and a bit bias about our group. Assuming that we wouldn't want one check and splitting them because she figured we would want it that way and then blaming us because she did it when we never asked for split. There rule is parties over 8 have to have 1 bill and we never asked for an exception. There was just her assumption that a group of black women wouldn't want to do that. (I digress) There were a few more things but I will end it there. That was the big negative. Now the positive!!! Ambiance 10/10 - great views, great music, great location, umbrellas on roof were great although a but wobbly and scary. Also, they come around with complimentary sunglasses while dining. I thought this was a nice and luxurious touch! Food 8/10 - most food received was delicious Service 9/10 - everyone except for our server was great! Everyone who pitched in to help was awesome! Ended up tipping a different server who basically helped us the whole time. Bless his heart because I know he was super busy. As stated above management handle the situation well. I would definitely go back! I try to give people a chance. I think our server may have been overwhelmed and had a past experience that left her bias against our group but hopefully she can grow and get better. Drinks are... mid. Got a Manhattan and they use literally the cheapest vermouth you can find, even though we upgraded to Uncle Nearest Rye. I almost walked away right then. For $16 cocktails I expect at least Cocchi Vermouth. Also ordered Nunnya Bees Wax it was fine, nothing to write home about. The atmosphere is loud. The menu is limited. The bar does not have capacity for drinks they sell. For example, ordered a White Russian and they made with oat milk. If you've ever had a White Russian you know this is a problem. The service is slow and very protective of several empty tables. It does offer a beautiful view. I've been here a few times, and unfortunately it is always poor service. The hosts kinda make you feel like they're annoyed that you're there. Our server hadn't checked on us for genuinely 45 minutes, so we flagged down a different person and we were told our server literally left. Didn't even check on us one last time or transfer us to another server. Very unfortunate, it's a cool place and I love a rooftop! This sort of thing happens every time I'm here. Indys newest highest rooftop bar!! This just opened this week. They are located on the 11th floor of the new intercontinental hotel in downtown just off the circle on the southwest side. There are friendly greeters at the door when you enter the hotel. Jackson greeted us and told us a bit about the bar. The hotel is beautiful and gold and there are mirrors. There is a greeter as soon as you get off the 11th floor. We didn't have reservations but it was mostly empty when we went. Was hoping it wasn't too busy since they just opened. We got there just before 6 to watch sunset. The drinks were good. There's minimal food. Mostly apps and shareables. We got the truffle fries which were perfect! The sauce was good and the fries were tasty and at the perfect temp/color. White linen is refreshing. Outside isn't open yet. They are still working on some safety features. The views are nice. Slight obstructed view of the circle. It is just one corner that you get that view so hope that no one is sitting there. The bar is beautiful. The lighting is great. Nice vibes. Would like to come back in the summer. Yesterday was sunny and high of 60 so it was great. The bathrooms are off to the side and are singles and handicap accessible so that's nice. Some of the best views of the city, by far. I was surprised the cocktail menu wasn't bigger and they had no sweeter drinks. Their Instagram promoted a mango drink that was not on the menu and there was no summer menu like they teased, so that was confusing. They ended up making me a mango mojito, which was delicious. When we got the bill there was an unexplained $2 upcharge for Bacardi that was not disclosed and Bacardi is not a premium. They have two charcuterie boards (one meat, one cheese) and my ground was surprised that you had to choose one or the other because normal charcuterie includes both. The chips and dip were gluten free, which was wonderful. It was yummy and so were the truffle fries. read more

I get to the restaurant and now they gave the outside table I reserved away ok nothing I can do about it. Me and my party had to sit at two different tables inside now.. OK I let that slide. Waitresses were cool at first then once the table became available outside that's when things got kind of weird for sure. Definitely given racist. I am black African-American and my party was as well. There were other African-Americans there maybe 2 others I saw. Maybe my party didn't look the way they wanted us to look. I'm not sure even but we were all grown and sexy they treated us some type of way. It was very awkward and weird. We're the only table that waitresses bothered the whole night. It's like they wanted us to hurry up eat and get up out of there. Majority of the people there were Caucasian. It just was not a good feeling once we were ready to go & the check came that's when they told us. Oh, you get four receipts and everyone has to split it up into 4 bills. Well that's fine. We have no problem with that but everybody has different orders each bill was $ 119 the fourth bill was gratuity in Tax so with that being said, they stalked us while we were trying to figure out who ate what so they can pay for their order made us feel very uncomfortable when all they had to do is give us an itemized receipt with what everyone had to pay for their food. It's the way they went about it. Everyone was a couple and bills could have been split 2 people on each bill I only had 8 people I feel like they made a scene and kept saying do u want me to get the manager .I didn't understand for what . Acting as if we did something to the waitresses and we did not! just all around racist ... I would never ever in life step foot in this place again, as I sat and watched as the waitresses and the so-called "manager" came out and clearly waited on everyone else in that bar hand and foot and made it seem like we made trouble when all we did was asked for a itemized receipt, the waitresses kept asking. Do you want me to get the manager? Do you want me to get the manager? I'm asking her for what? all I asked her was one simple fucking question but you know we're black so we're automatically the problem .. but to each his own.. I mean these people stood over us as if we couldn't pay pissed me off so we paid and got the hell up out of there and will never go back ever. Went here tonight and will never go back. Made a reservation for 4 two weeks in advance. Could not seat us outside and sat us inside and just asked if we could be put on a waitlist if any tables open up outside. They said no. The kitchen was broken and no hot food was being served. There were plenty of tables outside and we saw other people being seated. Out server came over to our table three times in over 2 hours and it was not like it was even busy. Worst experience and incredibly disappointing. we got the cheeseboard and it was terrible. read more

The truffle fries at this place were amazing. The atmosphere was also phenomenal but i was extremely upset with the service. My friends and I were visiting my sister who is from Indy and I surprised visited her when our reservation was for 6 and I was a 7th, the hostess had laughed at us when we had told her I was surprise visiting my sister and 1 more person needed added to the reservation. We were extremely unhappy with the service we received from a red haired server...I am unsure of her name to this moment but she was unhappy the entire time she served us and did not treat us like valued customers. I felt like in this type of atmosphere and setting we should have been treated with bare minimum of respect. Great food and drinks again, but unhappy with the service we received. read more
