Desert that bread pudding was comped because it was cold and inedible.

Service was good but food was just average. When we ordered dessert my bread pudding was cold when it came from a skillet that it should have been sizzling. They took it off my bill at least.

Overall somewhat satisfied with my wife and I's experience at Spoke and Steele. We made a reservation about a week in advance for Valentines Day- eve. We arrived to the restaurant around ten minutes prior to our reservation, and quickly sat. We walk to a table- a booth that normally houses two tables pushed together, with around two inches between tables. We were practically sitting on top of the other two individuals sitting at the table. Forgot conversation- we heard everything they said, they heard everything we said, might as well have been on a double date. They weren't short of two top tables either- there were at least two, two top tables that sat empty our entire dining experience. Our server was on it throughout the night. The food was good to okay. We started with bread service. One piece of my bread was cold, and the other was warm. The honey miso butter was maybe a highlight of the whole meal. I started with a kale Caesar salad. Nice crunch to it, and an appropriate amount of dressing. My wife and I split two meals. The first- Coq Au Vin Pot pie. The meat was flavorful- but man, there is a lot of pastry when compared to meat. We got the braised short ribs. I wouldn't call the short ribs, short ribs- it was more of like a pot roast taste and consistency. There was a decent flavor, but nothing overtly amazing. Our cocktails were strong, but nothing to write home about. Overall, wouldn't be my first stop for a restaurant downtown, but if I was invited by someone else, I would most likely try it again.

We assembled in a private room for dinner, and pre-dinner cocktails, up the stairs from the main dining area, with a fixed menu for our group. I have posted some photos from this experience along with a shot of the menu. Spoke & Steele is one of the better curated fine dining experiences in downtown Indianappolis. The staff was attentive and friendly, and the food well prepared. For a group setting the restaurant did a fine job of accommodating our needs. I would enjoy the opportunity to return to Indianappolis and enjoy their delicious food in the main dining area. I would recommend this restaurant for a visit and would not hesitate to take a guest whom I wanted to impress with a good culinary experience.

What a vibe! Needed a late night quick bite so decided to try out Spoke and Steele. Have tried to go here multiple days during the con but it was busier in the afternoon. Sat at the bar and was help promptly. Just order salad, soup and charcuterie board. Everything was amazing great and friendly service. Very attentive and chill bartender. The soup hit all the best note. They also have a killer brunch menu. Would recommend

We came here for a business dinner and we were in a semi-private room off of the bar/ restaurant area I felt like it was more public than semi-private. I liked the aesthetic of the restaurant and how fresh each dish was. Even the craft cocktails had a lot of thought and care put into them. Our server was great and I have no complaints with him. Everyone enjoyed their food and dessert.

Not too bad actually- stopped by for breakfast- again traveling for work and this hit the spot. Definitely will stop by again.

In town for a conference and was looking for some food and good cocktail. I picked the right place. The bar was not crowded and the service was excellent. For drinks I had their S&S Barrel Aged Old Fashioned and S&S Barrel Aged Manhattan. The Old Fashioned was my favorite. For dinner I had their Smash Burger and it was excellent but super messy. Cool vibe with dim lighting.

We decided to come here prior to a concert. There was nobody else in here which surprised me. At any rate, Teddy, our server was absolutely phenomenal. He is very attentive and even let us know the kitchen was backed up d/t a large party. (Where was the party hiding?!) we eventually saw a crew venture out. Teddy was very apologetic for the delay and even offered us a drink. The service is excellent. Eventually the food came and it was delicious. We did ask for some customizations that's didn't happen but we were in a rush to get to our event so we didn't mention it. Despite a hiccup in our visit, the service recovery was great and over all the experience was great. The food. We had a Ceasar salad with blackened shrimp (get the blackened shrimp!) the BLT was ok (missed onion that I requested). French onion soup was delicious! Drinks are also unique and very good. I do plan to go back and hopefully it's a 5 star experience.

THE BIG: Located in downtown Indianapolis inside the Le Meridien Hotel. As you walk in, it's on the right with plenty of bar seating and tables. Parking garage closeby. THE BLACK AND WHITE: I came here for breakfast during my stay in Indy and the place is nice and cozy. Service was fast and I was immediately seated. I got the biscuits and gravy since the description sounded great. However when it arrived, it looked very hastily made. A soggy biscuit and a slop of gravy on top. The eggs were fine. Taste-wise, it was alright. The gravy wasn't that memorable and looked really yellow for some reason. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Overall the breakfast food was alright. Nothing to brag and the damage done was around $21 for the biscuits and gravy with a coffee.

*Way* overpriced, small portions, long wait for the food despite the restaurant being mostly empty. I got the Ragù (pictured) and a glass of wine and paid $50 for that. I see that some Yelpers have liked this place for brunch or drinks, neither of which I can speak on, but I can say with certainty that I would not recommend this place for dinner. There are SO many better options downtown.

This brief review is mostly to give praise to the fantastic bartender on our visit this past May 21st. I'm very annoyed that I failed to remember the gentleman's name but in our opinion he did a fantastic job given that the restaurant / bar was packed and there were evidently a significant number of call out's that evening. We spotted only two folks working. Anyway, while it did take a while after we sat down at the bar for service, he did acknowledge us after a bit and said he'd be along in a little bit. After taking our order, while juggling several others, our drinks arrived. Both were quite tasty. This was my first time here but I feel the ambiance would have been more pleasant had they been better-staffed so we didn't stay too long. That being said, our bartender was exemplary, even waving us off when we went to pay our tab - apologizing for being so shorthanded and juggling so many balls in the air. He was always friendly and certainly that was not at all expected or necessary. Again, apologies for not remembering his name. He was great. Spoke and Steele does seem to be a fine spot to stop in while in Indianapolis. It's comfortable and even cozy. A worthy establishment among the other fine ones in a great Downtown.

Didn't love the food here. The service was pretty good and it had a nice ambiance for sure but the food could've been way better. It was very oily and fatty, wish there were healthier options here :/

The staff, drinks, food, music and overall atmosphere are consistently exceptional. The cocktail menu is fantastic. My personal favorite is the painkiller - a delicious blend of coconut, rum, orange, pineapple, and nutmeg. It's served in a skull glass and tastes absolutely perfect. I also appreciate that they make their noodles in house! Have you ever had a meal you can't stop thinking about? That's exactly how I feel about the shoyu ramen. We came in on a Friday night at 6:30 with no reservation, and had to wait ~5 minutes for a table of two. We were sat at a high top at the bar, which we appreciated. Our server greeted us quickly, and checked in a few times throughout the night. Service was average, nothing spectacular but nothing to complain about. I had a hurricane to start off. Packed full of the good stuff, and one was definitely enough for the night. Appropriate price for what you get. This drink is what brought my review from a 2 for the food to a 3 in total. We started off with pork Bao buns. The bun was spongy, but somewhat dry. The pork lacked any sort of flavor, and the sauce on it didn't do much for me. The next part of the meal was the most disappointing for me: the curry chicken wings. Let me tell you- I was excited for these. These lacked any sort of flavor at all, and the only thing saving it was the ranch. The wings had a good crisp, but the sauce was lacking taste. I had the Shoyu ramen for my main. It was a pretty average bowl of ramen, but for the price, I expected more. The pork in it was flavorful, but the chicken in it was odd in my opinion with an unexpected herby flavor. Overall, service was average (but we appreciated getting sat fast), drinks were strong (and saved the meal) and the food was average. Would go if invited by a friend, but probably would not return on my own.

This is one of my favorite places for craft cocktails because there's always something new to try. Their menu changes seasonally, so even if you've been before, you'll usually find new creations alongside their signature cocktails. The drinks are true works of art, both in flavor and presentation. On my most recent visit, I tried a cocktail off the Pride menu called the Stonewall, and it was absolutely delicious. It had a beautiful pink color, and I loved the glass it was served in. The presentation is always top notch. Service was good. The drink was also only $10, which is pretty cheap for the quality compared to other places. We didn't stay long this visit, but it's always one of my go to spots to relax, catch up with friends, and enjoy expertly crafted cocktails. An added bonus is that you can order food from Goodfellas Pizza and enjoy it while you're in the lounge, making it an even better experience.
