I'm absolutely obsessed with Daniel's Vineyard! Their wine selection is incredible -- from glasses and tasting flights to full bottles, there's something for everyone. We tried the Carne and Margherita pizzas on a Wednesday (when pizzas are 50% off... say less!) and both were packed with flavor, the perfect pairing while we enjoyed our bottles. My friends and I went with one of their sweetest wines, the Lakeside Sangria, which was super refreshing, and the Circle City Red, a dry red with amazing flavor. Met up with my book club for a fun outing and it was just that. The weather was beautiful so we sat on the patio. The service was good and pretty quick for a Saturday evening. The elote pizza was pretty good and I love the wine selection (more importantly the wine slushies). read more

Up top, for my dry wine brethren: Just save yourself the time and money, and get a glass (or a bottle, like I did) of the Circle City Red. This is the driest wine that Daniel's Vineyard makes. Everything else gets sweeter from here, in my opinion. The Circle City Red is the driest wine, but it is almost just a touch too sweet, even still. That cloying, cough-syrup essence is there in the background. But that's the way it goes with Indiana wines: They are perfect for sweet-wine lovers. I feel like Daniel's is an event venue first, and a winery second, and a restaurant third. When I visited, they had paper menus printed, and there were eight things on the food menu, and four of them were pizzas. They have a brick oven, so they fire up their pizzas, and they come out with nicely charred crusts. You can get gluten-free crust, too, if that's something that you want. The other things on the menu were breadsticks, a charcuterie board, a Greek salad and a Caesar salad. On their website, they had other food listed, but I think the menu might change depending on the day. Basically, you visit Daniel's to enjoy some wine and relax in their outdoor space. This is a choice place to visit on a nice day, because then you can kick it at a table on the patio and look out at their vineyard while drinking something nice. (Or look at people practicing for their wedding ceremony, like what was happening in front of me when I was there.) Sometimes, there's live music or events. Dogs are welcome on the patio, too. The space is dog-friendly and family-friendly, which is always nice to see at a winery. read more

We've been attending the Adult Easter Egg Hunt at Daniel's for several years now and the changes this year have altered the experience. Dividing into two events was a bit disappointing for the 4pm group. When we inquired about the "why" we were given a standard "we can only have a certain number of guests on property. But we stuck around and enjoyed food and wine and watched the 6pm group and there definitely were not too many more people. I have attended events at Daniel's in the past with much LARGER crowds. The 4pm group only had a slither of space to "hunt" for eggs while the 6pm group had a much larger space. The staff I encountered at the tent setup were NOT very friendly at all which is disappointing from my previous events at Daniels. The banner that showcased what color egg equals which prize had a print error that we were not informed of. The "white" egg was not in fact white; it was a sky blue egg. Had we been provided that detail while going over "rules" would have been helpful. Overall, the event was underwhelming compared to past years. read more

Very large space near the yacht club, you'd hardly know you were 20 minutes away from Indy! Susan was super nice and friendly, she walked us through quite a few wines, and she was very happy to explain they grow their own Marquette and Traminette varietals! Since you don't expect to see wine grapes in IN, we had to try those wines. Traminette was very light, nice and a little fizzy. The Marquette red blend (Circle City Red) was pretty nice! Definitely loved the PDA (orange contact wine). BOGO bottles of wine on Thursday, lots of wine cocktails and specials, they also have wine slushies! read more

After seeing "No Ruff Days" at a million events throughout the city, we were determined to come visit the Mothership. What beautiful grounds! I had only tried the drier wines (I'm a sweet wine person) and was thrilled to discover the Fireside sangria -- it tastes like a cherry tootsie pop! There is a ton of indoor and outdoor space - would be a lovely place to host an event with views on the vineyards. Another pro - There is so much parking -- almost alarming driving in because you wonder why there is so much parking. Good to know information: their pizza is half off 4pm-6pm Wednesdays. Wine is also $5/glass on Wednesdays! Also (this is my hot take) Skip the breadsticks -- they were like Olive Garden or Fazoli quality. What a beautiful vineyard! I was taken here as part of a Birthday Wine Tour that my friend planned for me. The grounds are pretty and the indoor area is classy. Friendly knowledgeable staff. My friend and I had wine flights and my husband had a tasting which was served in noticeably smaller plastic cups with smaller pours. We ordered two wood fired pizzas as well which were really tasty! At the front of the vineyard is a sign for a fun photo opportunity. It was a really hot day when we went and it was the first of our stops so we didn't walk the grounds, but I hope to return. read more

I am reviewing as a venue, not as a restaurant or dining option. It was a celebration of life location for a wine aficionado and friend. The appetizers were delicious and there was a bar with wine and soft drinks. The first floor has the lower ballroom which holds up to 250 guests. It is 3,360 square feet. I loved the greenhouses that seat 8 guests and are heated in the winter. There's a small space upstairs for 25 seated or 40 standing guests. The Upper Ballroom is 4.400 square feet and holds up to 375 guests. There are many outdoor spaces as well. read more

This was the most beautiful and amazing charcuterie board we've ever gotten at a winery. My husband and I came for a little date and had the charcuterie board to split and wine flight. You get to pick 4 different wines for the flight. We picked fireside sangria, Traminette, Racing Rose, and Malbec. My favorite was the fireside sangria. It was a rainy day just felt so nice and cozy. It will be perfect for a cold winter day when snuggling inside. The charcuterie board was huge and everything tasted so fresh. The servers were very nice as was the woman that took our order. We came here as part of a three part destination birthday trip for our sister and the sibs. This was our first stop of the afternoon and it turned out to be a perfect stop. The patio seating showed the beautiful winery landscape but the temperature dictated that today we ate inside. Our server, Emma was the perfect match for our visit. She was so friendly and efficient which made our lunch great. We shared a margarita pizza, carne pizza, and charcuterie board which was plenty of food for 7 adults. I frequent Daniel's often, it's one of my favorite wineries/vineyards in the Indianapolis area. I love it because it's family & pet friendly, the brick oven pizza is so delicious AND they have a rewards program. Oh and of course, the wine! Haha They also have a live concert series during the warmer months. Everyone, including the guests are always so friendly. I always leave with a new friend haha. This particular review is for the greenhouses that you can currently rent there. Me & some other ladies hosted my cousin's birthday at Daniel's & rented out the greenhouse and I don't know where to start... the views, the table setting, the service, everything was superior! We had the BEST time. The pricing was very reasonable, $95 for 2 hours and well worth it. The only con was the heater didn't really do its job but after the wine started flowing, we didn't really need it haha plus, they supplied blankets. So cute! It holds up to 8 people, so if you're looking for a cute girl's night out or a couple's night, it's perfect & I highly recommend. BONUS: Ask for Dakota! Lately, I've been thinking a lot about different elements that change as you get older. One of these changes that I've really leaned into is learning how to truly savor life and certain, simple joys that it offers. Wine is a great example of this. It seems that alcohol, in its various offerings, can showcase the growth we experience over the years. Our 20's were filled with cheap beer and Boone's Farm. As we age, we discover mixed drinks and graduate from "wine cooler" to simply wine. Now, in my 40's, I've learned to appreciate an aged bourbon or letting a dry red breathe a little before tasting. I'd rather slow down and savor the experience. Early in life, more was always more. I've grown to understand that less is most definitely more. "Less" always leads to a greater sense of longing. And the greater the longing, the sweeter the experience, to which wine is a great example. I love living less than 20 minutes from a winery. While the word is finally starting to spread, I still feel like Daniel's is a hidden gem. Admittedly, I haven't been to a ton of wineries in my life. However, I've been to several and probably more than the average person. Daniel's really offers everything that I look for in a winery. They have really expanded over the last couple of years since I first visited. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. The grounds are beautiful. It's the perfect example of less is more: simple and understated, yet refined. They have limited food options, but the thin crust pizza is yummy, as well as charcuterie and other offerings. Most importantly, the wine is delicious. They have a nice variety of whites, reds, and specialty wines. We tasted the canned peach. It was good. I'm a dry wine person, but I enjoy tasting a sip of fruit-forward wines. They have an indoor area and upstairs seating. But I think every time I've gone, we've just sat outside. They have a great calendar of events, and usually have live music on the weekends. Since the food choices are limited, they will also invite food trucks on busier evenings. I love ordering a few bottles and sitting outside with friends while nibbling on some snacks. They are also dog friendly, and I look forward to taking my little guy very soon. read more

Had the pesto bread no big deal doesn't taste as good as mine and hardly had any pesto on it. It was mostly just bread and cheese.. The pizza was extremely greasy. I ate two pieces and I let my friends kiddos, eat the rest. this is my first time at Daniels Vineyard and I don't live that far from it, but I will say this it's the ambience is far better than the Cabernet Sauvignon! My friend ordered a Brianna white too sweet for my taste. I prefer something dry. I've had much better cabs. I was gonna compare the cab and a Pinot, but I decided not to waste any more of my money on wine at the vineyard. The wine is overrated. Swirl sniff sip test was a fail for me. When I go there again, absolutely just to enjoy the outside. A closer look they've got some work that needs to be done. The metal up on the roof is rusted and chipped it needs to be sanded and painted and I would think they're making tons of money. Why won't be giving them all mine that's for sure. Really, no wait at all. We started out with a charcuterie board, which was actually in a box. The only critique I have would be that they should have crackers on the charcuterie menu. There were bread slices, but I don't believe I have ever had a charcuterie board without crackers. The bathrooms were super clean and had some very nice smelling soap. LOLOL. I plan to return in September for The Toy Factory and can't wait. Great seating, up front, perfect view of the band. The occasion rose to celebrate my daughter's marriage at a location that would be a great time. Twelve of us showed up on a reserved time and table. We started off with a variety of wines for all tastes. A white, a rose, and a Cabernet Sauvignon. Then the second round of bottles consisted of all roses because the flavor was more acceptable for this group. Not too sweet, not too dry. Then we ordered 3 charcuterie boards and 4 pizzas. The only caveat with the boards, was that there were really no crackers. Only these cracker rings that would seem difficult to put cheese and other toppings on it. The pizzas were more of the best item to order. Fresh ingredients and nice mini oven near the bar. The ambiance was pretty cool since it had room for a lot of patrons. I've been here a few times now, and I've enjoyed every visit. My first time here was for their free adult Easter egg hunt. Even though the weather was cold and rainy, I still had a blast! I ended up winning a season lawn pass to their summer concert series. Over prizes included discounts, free cookies, individual concert tickets and even free bottles of wine! It feels like they are always coming out with new wines to try in either bottle or can form. Their fruity No Ruff Days are going to be perfect for these hot summer days outside. I've visited the last 2 Fridays for live music. I'll start with my first visit. Last Friday when we arrived the parking lot was full so we decided to do valet parking. It was $15 and you paid when leaving. We didn't purchase the $15 lawn ticket to watch the band online so we were told to purchase it inside the building. While in line we went ahead and purchased the tickets online. We stayed in the line to purchase wine and beer. I got a glass of Rose and my friend got a beer. I like the rose. It was the drier rose and it was refreshing sitting out in the sun. The 2nd time I got a glass of Gewürztraminer. I liked it too. It was a little sweeter than the Rose but not too sweet. Last night I came with a bigger group of friends to watch Toy Factory. This time we ended up having to park at the end of the vineyard and walked to the lawn area for the band. It was about twice as many people there than the night before. We had to wait about 20 min in line so we decided to get bottles of wine. We got the Racing Rose and Riesling. I liked them both but the Riesling was my favorite of the two. There was a food truck on site both nights or you could order pizza inside the winery. I didn't eat on either visit but I plan to next time I come. I also want to come on a non event day to come and do a tasting. My advice is to come early on live music nights if you dont want to park too far and walk and you dont want to pay to valet. If you are on the fence about visitng, go! read more

This place is set up nicely, away from the road, so when you sit on the patio all you see is the vineyard. They had a couple of events going on the night we were there, but there was still plenty of space. I'm not a wine guy, but my g/f is and she liked the Winners White the best. They have a few local beers on draft and some bottles/cans too. The have some food, like charcuterie and pizza, but that's about it.
