We've been attending the Adult Easter Egg Hunt at Daniel's for several years now and the changes this year have altered the experience. Dividing into two events was a bit disappointing for the 4pm group. When we inquired about the "why" we were given a standard "we can only have a certain number of guests on property. But we stuck around and enjoyed food and wine and watched the 6pm group and there definitely were not too many more people. I have attended events at Daniel's in the past with much LARGER crowds. The 4pm group only had a slither of space to "hunt" for eggs while the 6pm group had a much larger space. The staff I encountered at the tent setup were NOT very friendly at all which is disappointing from my previous events at Daniels. The banner that showcased what color egg equals which prize had a print error that we were not informed of. The "white" egg was not in fact white; it was a sky blue egg. Had we been provided that detail while going over "rules" would have been helpful. Overall, the event was underwhelming compared to past years.

Very large space near the yacht club, you'd hardly know you were 20 minutes away from Indy! Susan was super nice and friendly, she walked us through quite a few wines, and she was very happy to explain they grow their own Marquette and Traminette varietals! Since you don't expect to see wine grapes in IN, we had to try those wines. Traminette was very light, nice and a little fizzy. The Marquette red blend (Circle City Red) was pretty nice! Definitely loved the PDA (orange contact wine). BOGO bottles of wine on Thursday, lots of wine cocktails and specials, they also have wine slushies!

After seeing "No Ruff Days" at a million events throughout the city, we were determined to come visit the Mothership. What beautiful grounds! I had only tried the drier wines (I'm a sweet wine person) and was thrilled to discover the Fireside sangria -- it tastes like a cherry tootsie pop! There is a ton of indoor and outdoor space - would be a lovely place to host an event with views on the vineyards. Another pro - There is so much parking -- almost alarming driving in because you wonder why there is so much parking. Good to know information: their pizza is half off 4pm-6pm Wednesdays. Wine is also $5/glass on Wednesdays! Also (this is my hot take) Skip the breadsticks -- they were like Olive Garden or Fazoli quality. I also wish they did wine tasting during the week (you can try their three wines-of-the-month, otherwise you just buy a flight to try multiple wines).

Great place and ambience! Dog accepted and live music. Been to several wineries, and this one offers other drinks than wine and food other than a charcuterie board. Definitely will be visiting again.

What a beautiful vineyard! I was taken here as part of a Birthday Wine Tour that my friend planned for me. The grounds are pretty and the indoor area is classy. Friendly knowledgeable staff. My friend and I had wine flights and my husband had a tasting which was served in noticeably smaller plastic cups with smaller pours. We ordered two wood fired pizzas as well which were really tasty! At the front of the vineyard is a sign for a fun photo opportunity. It was a really hot day when we went and it was the first of our stops so we didn't walk the grounds, but I hope to return.

I am reviewing as a venue, not as a restaurant or dining option. It was a celebration of life location for a wine aficionado and friend. The appetizers were delicious and there was a bar with wine and soft drinks. The first floor has the lower ballroom which holds up to 250 guests. It is 3,360 square feet. I loved the greenhouses that seat 8 guests and are heated in the winter. There's a small space upstairs for 25 seated or 40 standing guests. The Upper Ballroom is 4.400 square feet and holds up to 375 guests. There are many outdoor spaces as well.

One of the most memorable sunsets! I would recommend checking out the vineyard for the view itself :)

8.24.25 went for a gorgeous Sunday "no ruff days" and brought our pupsters, as usual. Had the pear and fig pizza, and the winners white.#yum Friends has the Moscato and the blackberry wines, which are too sweet for me but they enjoyed them. We hadn't been here yet this year and noticed the pergolas are no longer there, but we got a nice table in the shaded patio. The live music is always nice as well. #ReviewsByRL

LOVED this place. Perfect for a relaxing evening of wine tasting or having a glass to catch up with an old friend. I couldn't stop talking about how cute this place was and how great the wine tasted. The view was not expected for being in the suburbs of Indianapolis. I can't wait to bring my in laws here! Service was great and offered perfect recommendations! Make sure to check out their specials too!

The employer who helped me at the counter here on 08-01-25 was so sweet and helpful. We had never been there before and she talked us through the menu. She was a young get blonde, very pretty. We ordered the Mexican pizza and it was okay. I should've gotten the meat pizza. The crust is good just too much Parmesan on the pizza. I had a wine flight and my friend had a yuengling. I did love all the wines. The property is absolutely amazing !!!!!!!

This was the most beautiful and amazing charcuterie board we've ever gotten at a winery. My husband and I came for a little date and had the charcuterie board to split and wine flight. You get to pick 4 different wines for the flight. We picked fireside sangria, Traminette, Racing Rose, and Malbec. My favorite was the fireside sangria. It was a rainy day just felt so nice and cozy. It will be perfect for a cold winter day when snuggling inside. The charcuterie board was huge and everything tasted so fresh. The servers were very nice as was the woman that took our order. She was very helpful in explaining things. They have plenty of seating outside under a covered patio, inside, and upstairs. We will definitely be coming back here again soon!

We came here as part of a three part destination birthday trip for our sister and the sibs. This was our first stop of the afternoon and it turned out to be a perfect stop. The patio seating showed the beautiful winery landscape but the temperature dictated that today we ate inside. Our server, Emma was the perfect match for our visit. She was so friendly and efficient which made our lunch great. We shared a margarita pizza, carne pizza, and charcuterie board which was plenty of food for 7 adults. The pizzas were delicious and the charcuterie was huge and amazing. Along with wine they also served beer on tap. Wednesday is also $5 glasses of wine-yum.

I frequent Daniel's often, it's one of my favorite wineries/vineyards in the Indianapolis area. I love it because it's family & pet friendly, the brick oven pizza is so delicious AND they have a rewards program. Oh and of course, the wine! Haha They also have a live concert series during the warmer months. Everyone, including the guests are always so friendly. I always leave with a new friend haha. This particular review is for the greenhouses that you can currently rent there. Me & some other ladies hosted my cousin's birthday at Daniel's & rented out the greenhouse and I don't know where to start... the views, the table setting, the service, everything was superior! We had the BEST time. The pricing was very reasonable, $95 for 2 hours and well worth it. The only con was the heater didn't really do its job but after the wine started flowing, we didn't really need it haha plus, they supplied blankets. So cute! It holds up to 8 people, so if you're looking for a cute girl's night out or a couple's night, it's perfect & I highly recommend. BONUS: Ask for Dakota! He was the BEST (honestly, everyone is haha) and they also have really cute holiday photo props inside.

Even the driest of the wines, the Cabernet Sauvignon, is very sweet. So, if you love sweet wines, this place is for you! Right now, they are only pouring a Cabernet, a red blend, a Riesling and a sweet Rose. The grapes are imported, but Woolley Yak has their own vineyard, and the intention is that they will soon start producing wine from their own grapes. You can get a flight of wine, or a glass of wine, or a mimosa, and then you can take your wine outside with you as you explore the grounds. There are picnic benches here and there. There's also a food truck that sells four different types of grilled cheese sandwiches and handheld charcuterie cups. I think food is only available Friday through Sunday, though. I visited with children (well, a teen and an almost tween), but they are a good hang and will play on a playground with the best of them, so we headed straight for the nature play space. The playground was designed to encourage kids to engage in unstructured play, so it has a lot of natural elements all around, like tree stumps, hay bales and logs. My kids are "co-op kids" for life (their early years were spent at a nature-based cooperative preschool), so they thrive with this type of playground. There's also a tire mound to climb, a balance beam to balance on, and a basketball shooting station made from a grain wagon. There's lots of space to run around, and a few trees to climb, too. The big draw of Woolly Yak is the yaks! There are also Babydoll Southdown sheep, Kunekune pigs and chickens that live on the ranch. You can just sit on a bench and watch these animals do their things in their living spaces. Or, if you want a more up-close experience, you can purchase a ticket to one of the animal experiences, like storytime with sheep or tea with lambs. You can also experience brushing the yaks and giving them treats. If you didn't want to do any of those experiences, though, you could just visit the ranch to see the animals for free! There is no admission to enter the ranch or to park. It's a nice place to visit to stroll around and see what you can see.

I will say these are sweet wines so if you're a dry wine person I would go to see the Yaks, not drink the wine. But I love the concept of grabbing a glass or a bottle walking around the grounds and visiting the Yak pen. There is a beautiful pond on site along with a food truck and some picnic tables, which is perfect for an afternoon outside to relax and enjoy nature. The website mentioned sheep, chickens, and pigs, (as well as Yaks) I only saw the pigs and Yaks while I was there however I did not inquire about the other animals, So if you're going for the animals you may want to call as I'm not sure if the other animals are only out certain times.

Confession: I'm not the biggest fan of Indiana wine. (This isn't actually a confession or a secret…read more I will gladly tell anyone who will listen that I don't like Indiana wine.) It's usually way too sweet for my palate, even the dry wine. But the wine I tasted at Urban Vines was really good! Could it be that I can no longer say that I don't like Indiana wine? If you like dry wine like I do, I suggest sticking to the Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah. Those were the red wines that I chose for my wine flight, plus the Pinot Gris from the white wine section. These were all delicious and dry enough for me. (If we're really quibbling, they were still slightly sweeter than I like, but I realize Indiana wine can only go so dry.) Mostly, though, Urban Vines is ideal for people who like sweeter wines. The people who see "cotton candy" on the wine bottle and think, "Yes, this is what I want. I want my wine to taste like liquified sugar." That said, I did taste a sample of the Wine-A-Rita, which is a sweet wine infused with agave and lime, and served on ice. Whoo! That's a nice little sippin' drink. I could see killing a couple of glasses of that on a hot Indiana summer evening. I should also mention: The pours that they give you for the wine flights are generous! More than generous, actually. I am no wine lightweight, and I could feel the sweet and bitter fruits flowing nicely throughout my bloodstream by the time I took my last sip. Luckily, Urban Vines has food to offset all of the wine. I came for a pizza flight, but they weren't offering them when I visited, so I got the margherita pizza instead, which came with torn pieces of basil, marinated and roasted tomatoes, and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar. It was very tasty! They also offer things like boards (veggie boards, breadstick boards, cheese boards, meat boards), plus salads and desserts. They also offer brunch on the weekends. This is a pleasant little place to hang out and enjoy wine and food. It's also family-friendly -- they have a small playground that's near the patio seating, so you can relax and also watch your kids play. Urban Vines is a nice place to unwind with some wine and food, and just enjoy the day.

I bookmarked it then and finally decided to seek it out after spending the day in nearby Pendleton. The winery (which is adding an RV Camp) is easy to find and had plenty of parking in front of the building. I liked that they have a ramp as well as stairs to the entrance. Once inside, there is a large room filled with wine related merchandise, tables for visitors to enjoy their purchases, and a central tasting counter (with seats) so that visitors can sample five wines for $5 or free if you purchase at least one bottle. I was the only early afternoon visitor while there so the owner and I had an enjoyable conversation about wine and mushroom hunting. He grows many of his own grapes (any bottle with "Estate" in the name is from their property), and gets much of the fruit locally. I believe only the white wines used California grapes (?). Anyway, I went through the tastings and noted that I liked the Blank Blanc (10% ABV) right away. The owner suggested it was a dry moscato (I never had heard of one of those.) Very pleasant and tasty. However, after the first tasting, I kept noticing that when I went to take my first sip of each new wine (including a vignole and three fruit wines), I was greeted with a harsh alcohol smell before each wine passed my lips. I commented after the vignole to the owner, but nothing helpful was suggested. Sadly, only the Apple & Cinnamon didn't also have that strong alcohol smell to me. That one was a delightful cider tasting wine, but the finish was too cinnamon for me to drink a full glass. I generally enjoyed my visit and did purchase the Blank Blanc. When I got home, I found that the flute glasses that were used for the tasting are intended for minimizing the bubbles on a sparkling wine. I wondered if the owner had used a dessert wine glass or a standard wine glass instead, would the strong scent have been dispersed in a more pleasing way. I hope that the owner reads this and can try making a change. Review #3561
