    Red and Mixed Wine Flights

A Napa winery in Fishers? Yes, please! We stopped into Peace Water in the Fishers District. First, we learned that people under 21y/o are welcome to the patio but dogs on leashes are welcome inside (and on the patio). Then we discovered that when you purchase a bottle of wine, you get a token to put in a donation bucket. Each organization to donate to is chosen by each of the owners' six kids. All wine available is grown and produced in the Napa/Sonoma area. As someone who has tasted many of these wines while visiting, the wine is good! While I can't say I loved the Sublime Pinot Noir on the flight (too much cherry cola flavor for me but my dad loved it), I enjoyed every other wine. Worth the stop for the California wine lover visiting Fishers!

The owners select charities that some of the proceeds go to on every purchase.

This winery has a purpose and great wine! A nice variety with something for everyone. It's in the middle of a shopping center so don't miss it.

Such a cute spot! We've been to the Carmel and Mass Ave locations, and saw Yelp Elite Lee S serving wine here a few months back, so it had to be great right?! This weekend, they had awesome live musicians playing and opened up the space completely to the outside. They had arrows pointing where to order and Edit so that the traffic flowed one way. The woman behind the bar was sooooo nice and shared all of the options with us. I love that you can do a $5 wine tasting - such an approachable price! I also love that they have wine flights in addition to glasses or bottles. We didn't have much time before dinner, so we shared the red wine flight. The Grateful Red was our favorite! The interior is super colorful, funky, and boho. It's so fun and beautiful. There was a big curtain in front of the back room, so I'm guessing that you could rent out that room for a bridal party, baby shower, etc. This place is owned by a local family with many children. They let each of their kids pick a non-profit of their choice for all of the winery tips to support. There are buckets on the wall that list each of the non-profits. So cool! The wine is from California too, so it's more bitter than sweet which we love. We'll be back!

Still one of my favorite places, I pop in once a month to use my wine club credits. I use the fishers the location, it's close to my house and I love the set up and just relaxing inside. Right now, they have stopped tastings, but it is still enjoyable to go in a glass or a flight. For those who don't know, this is an Indiana family that makes wine from California, and it's tasty stuff. The variety has something for everyone, and they can always answer questions you might have about what you are drinking. Ensure you check out the charity wall since the workers don't get tips; when you tip, it goes towards a local charity, which I think is an excellent feature that you don't see in many places. They have a Carmel and mass ave location. Make sure you check them out!

This adorable place is a have to stop! They thought outside of the box and have a place to give to others of your choice. Their wine is very good! My husband even bought himself a bottle and it's his first one! Thank you for being so passionate about others and your wine. Brian & Missy @rvlivinfree

I loved this winery! It was very cute and aesthetically pleasing inside and a very peaceful place to try some great wines. I chose to do the tasting, with the four white dry wines and the dry rose. Personally I think they were all fantastic, especially the white blend as it was much better than other blends I've had! The staff were all super friendly and knowledgeable which was a nice touch as well. They also had live music the night that we went which was FANTASTIC! They played a great variety of music and the voices of the singers were fabulous, which made for an even more pleasant experience. I also ordered a flight of 3 wines which was a great option if you didn't want to do a whole tasting. All in all I will definitely be returning!

Great new winery! I've been to the Mass Ave location, but my first time at this one. It's setup the same. Lots of cozy eclectic furniture and looks. I ordered a rose - it's dry and necessary for summer. They do a great flight too. You can choose between a red flight, white flight or mixed. If you come on a Friday night chances are they will have live music for you! A definite plus. When you need some grub there are a ton of walkable places nearby to stop.

Extremely excited for this addition to "The Yard." I have now been three times, and each time uniquely pleasant! The first, I had a great tasting and learned all about the history/philanthropy involved. The second, I was treated to live music, and the third, I quietly enjoyed my free tasting since I had decided to become a member during one of my other visits! For roughly $30 a month, you get your bottle of wine plus 2 free tastings OR two free glasses. Guess we know where we will be going on date nights (at least 1x/month, that is).

Hey Peace Water Winery! I've been meaning to stop by for a long time! Tonight was the night. What a wonderful experience. Your story was completely new to me. Who knew that you were Indiana's only locally owned California winery! A great story, great wine and live music. What in the world could be better? We had the red flight and it was amazing. So amazing we stayed and had another glass and listened to some great music. I will be back

I have been to this location and the Carmel location and I can tell you that both are fabulous!! The atmosphere and decor are consistent among the two. It is very peaceful and comfy inside. My husband and I went here for a wine flight before our dinner and really enjoyed sitting in the chairs by the gas fire. I would definitely come here on a girls night as well. They also welcome pets on leashes even inside :-)

Cool winery with plenty of seating and a playground for the kiddos to burn off some energy…read more The pizzas were delicious. Thin crusts with the right amount of sauce, cheese and good quality toppings. Fair warning, specialty pizzas are only available during weekends. Simple topping pizzas on Mondays and Tuesdays. The highlight of our meal was the baked Brie. Warm, creamy and gooey cheese that was complimented well with a fig jam and baguette slices. The drink selection was great. Lots of variety and even frozen alcohol slushies. Service was great at the counter and very helpful in selecting food and drink items.

Confession: I'm not the biggest fan of Indiana wine. (This isn't actually a confession or a secret…read more I will gladly tell anyone who will listen that I don't like Indiana wine.) It's usually way too sweet for my palate, even the dry wine. But the wine I tasted at Urban Vines was really good! Could it be that I can no longer say that I don't like Indiana wine? If you like dry wine like I do, I suggest sticking to the Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah. Those were the red wines that I chose for my wine flight, plus the Pinot Gris from the white wine section. These were all delicious and dry enough for me. (If we're really quibbling, they were still slightly sweeter than I like, but I realize Indiana wine can only go so dry.) Mostly, though, Urban Vines is ideal for people who like sweeter wines. The people who see "cotton candy" on the wine bottle and think, "Yes, this is what I want. I want my wine to taste like liquified sugar." That said, I did taste a sample of the Wine-A-Rita, which is a sweet wine infused with agave and lime, and served on ice. Whoo! That's a nice little sippin' drink. I could see killing a couple of glasses of that on a hot Indiana summer evening. I should also mention: The pours that they give you for the wine flights are generous! More than generous, actually. I am no wine lightweight, and I could feel the sweet and bitter fruits flowing nicely throughout my bloodstream by the time I took my last sip. Luckily, Urban Vines has food to offset all of the wine. I came for a pizza flight, but they weren't offering them when I visited, so I got the margherita pizza instead, which came with torn pieces of basil, marinated and roasted tomatoes, and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar. It was very tasty! They also offer things like boards (veggie boards, breadstick boards, cheese boards, meat boards), plus salads and desserts. They also offer brunch on the weekends. This is a pleasant little place to hang out and enjoy wine and food. It's also family-friendly -- they have a small playground that's near the patio seating, so you can relax and also watch your kids play. Urban Vines is a nice place to unwind with some wine and food, and just enjoy the day.

I might as well be drinking a Capri Sun, is what you are thinking.
