Urban apples does a ton of fun events and we finally came to check them out for a hot air balloon night. We came on a Friday and although it was busy, it was overall easy to find a parking spot and table. A lot of people bring their own chairs or blankets which could be helpful in the future When we came, there were a lot of food trucks to choose to so can't speak on the food at urban apples, but their ciders were tasty! I got a flight and enjoyed trying different flavors. I wasn't a huge fan of their "regular" cider but I enjoyed the raspberry one and mixed berry. The cinnamon one was also tasty! There is a huge outdoor area and our kids loved playing in the open field and going down the tunnel slides. There's also a play area and other things we want to check out the next time we come. Urban Apples is a festive venue to relax and sip on a cider. Ciders are king, but they also serve sandwiches, beer, wine, and more. We stopped by for the "Blueberry Festival" with specials on blueberry themed drinks, pastries and a sandwich. The place is lively with a family vibe. Kids were playing Jenga. The lounge area has a mix of tables and comfy sofa seating. Additional umbrella covered tables are outside. Private dining rooms are also available. Several tv monitors play sporting programs. Rock music plays overhead, but they also host live bands on the weekends. The room is loud with people talking. We ordered at the counter. Drinks are served immediately and they give you a buzzer to let you know when the food is ready. I ordered a blueberry muffin (part with of blueberry festival), that took a lonnnng time to prepare. I waited at least 25 minutes for the muffin. We saw other orders trickle out slowly. Finally, we had to ask about the muffin and about three minutes later a tiny, cold muffin was brought out. The muffin was good, despite being cold and tiny. I was pretty disappointed in the service and the quality of the muffin which had clearly been taken out of a refrigerator. We did like the self serve $1 ice cream. The ice cream was an apple cider flavor. Maybe everything should be self service. Maybe they were just having an off day with my order because I can see they normally have great reviews. I would have liked an apology but that didn't happen. I probably won't return. Urban Apples in Westfield, Indiana- save yourself the trip. Don't go. It was my first time here. I walked in and wasn't sure if I needed to wait to be seated, or seat myself. There were at least 7 employees standing there, and none of them greeted me. When they dispersed I was able to see that you order at the counter. I ordered a breaded pork tenderloin, and asked if they had iced tea for a drink. The girl behind the register had to ask if they have tea (they don't). I opted for a Dr Pepper instead, and was handed a lukewarm can with a small cup of ice. The kiosk seemed to be lagging as I was ordering. I tried to tap my phone, and it didn't seem to respond. When I tried to tap the screen it changed a split second before I touched it, and I accidentally clicked on a tip. (18% is the minimum choice.) Oh well. I was given a buzzer and seated myself. About 10 minutes later the buzzer went off, and I went to get my food. There were 4 girls behind the counter who ignored me because they were too busy laughing and joking. I waved the buzzer at them, and one handed me my food. The "tenderloin" was tiny and burned. It was only very slightly larger than the bun. The breading didn't have any flavor (unless "burned" is a flavor). This thing was really just a bad fritter. The fries tasted cold and old. They have a station with about a dozen ketchup bottles near the counter- the first three bottles I picked up were empty. So, I accidentally tipped 18% for zero service, zero greeting, a canned soda, and a burned sandwich with cold fries. The entire time I was there the staff just stood behind the counter gossiping and laughing loudly. Apart from ringing in the order, they did nothing for me at all. I don't like to give bad reviews, but this was the worst "tenderloin" I've had in a long time. Add the lack of service, and you've got a recipe for failure. I'll never be back here again. read more

I love that the Indy area has a spot for ciders now! We stopped in on a Saturday for lunch and drinks. When you walk in there is a counter in the middle of the building where you can wait in line to order food and drinks. They will give you a buzzer to come back and grab food once it's ready. This was a bit awkward as it made it difficult to walk inside with where the line is, the flow could definitely be improved. They only had 2 employees taking orders for the entire place so the wait is long. We ordered some cider, slushies, chicken fingers, pretzel, and a wrap. The food took a little bit to come out and was pretty good. I found it a bit expensive for what it was. They have non alcoholic slushies which is perfect for littles. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is essentially full sun, as they have umbrellas but they are in awkward spots and don't really cover any of the seating. They have a grass area where kids can run around, but they did have two fire pits that are by the entryway so you have to be super careful if you have small kids. read more

This is such a fun cidery and event space!! We love coming here for seasonal drinks on tap and live music. They also offer TCH beverages as well. They are dog friendly as long as you sit outside and I believe they also have a speak easy that's not easily found but so cool! We're coming back for line dancing and fun events! A great local hangout for families and singles alike The food is pretty good. It's a very casual setting in what appears to be a big red barn. Sometimes German fare like brats potato salad is on the menu. Love the whipped feta and cider donuts! I believe they have a soft serve ice cream machine which is great for kids especially in the summer. Thank you Payton and the lovely young lady who served us last night! Be prepared to wait. You wait to wait then you wait to wait to wait. You wait in a line to get put on a list to wait to order. THEN when that buzzer goes off, you wait in a line to place your order and given back your buzzer and wait again for your food. The food is not worth a 1.5 hour wait. We waited 15 mins for the wait line then 40 mins for the order line then another 10 mins to order and finally 25 mins for food that we just put straight in a box and took home because I was sick of being there being chased around by bugs. It's too loud inside to enjoy and bugs attack you outside. They need new management because it's a beautiful property but their system is such BS! read more

Urban Apples is huge and a really impressive space. It's in Westfield, so a bit of a drive for me, but is a nice spot to plan a day date or friend group hang-out. I prefer this space over Urban Vines in the winter because there's way more spaces to sit at inside. Their ciders are fun and lots of different flavors to try. I've never had a bad one! The only thing that's always hit or miss for me is the food. Today I tried their BBQ Chicken Wrap, and there was absolutely no BBQ in it and barely any chicken. Just sorta felt like a bunch of lettuce wrapped in a tortilla. In the past I was super excited to try their Red Velvet donuts, but when I got them, all of the cream cheese icing had melted off into the box. Their BBQ nachos were good though! Came here for an event that I saw posted on FB. Was touted as make your own Hot cocoa and donuts. Both for $5. Everyone said the hot cocoa was like the real deal kind of cocoa not the diluted kind we so frequently get. Toppings included peppermint, caramel, chocolate, marshmallows and sprinkles. The donuts were amazing. So amazing that we bought an extra four pack for $7. Tons of alcoholic apple cider drinks but since I'm sober, I tried the traditional apple cider and OMG it was soooooo tasty. They offer lunch and brunch on Sundays (10-2) with lunch on Sundays starting at 12. Their menu looked yummy-must come back to try. They have stalls which you can sit at if they're not reserved towards the back. They are so pretty. No pic unfortunately. Everyone there was friendly and helpful. So much to love about this place! Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating in a relaxed, rural setting with a warm, family-friendly atmosphere - and the rare chance to sample a variety of ciders. We went on a Saturday night, and the band (especially the vocalist) was excellent. My only disappointment was the food. I had the spinach-strawberry salad, which was fresh but on the small side and lacked any protein--feeling overpriced at $14, particularly considering it's not a full-service restaurant. The cost of goods and labor can't have been more than a few bucks. My husband ordered the Chicken Caesar wrap. They were out of Caesar dressing, and the wrap itself had minimal chicken and leaned dry since the dressing wasn't mixed in. Cider, beer, wine, and yummy food...what more could you ask for. This is a hidden gem in Westfield. There were a variety of different ciders available. I got the Jammin which is a triple berry cider. It was the perfect amount of sweetness and I loved the berry flavor. We also got one of their seasonal blueberry drinks. It was very yummy! The pretzel and beer cheese was the perfect food to snack on while we were enjoying our ciders. We went during the day and they were not busy at all, so service was fast! Nice place in Westfield! Located on 25 acres! They have a lot of space to hold events inside as well as nice areas outside. Lots of picnic tables available. They have a nice view of the Cidery inside. I like hard ciders so this is right up my alley. They have flights you can order. I want to try the Johnny Appleseed, cherry limeade, and honey crisp ciders. They sound good! They have a little gift shop and a really nice Bar(n) that sits back in the back of the building. They have apple cider donuts too!! The food we had was good and the whipped feta dip sounds good along with the donuts and the giant pretzel yum!! Can't wait to check it out more! read more

We came here with our baseball team that was playing in Westfield for a tournament. This is an amazing space for large groups because there are multiple areas for people to hang, not just the restaurant itself. The kids spent time out by a barn playing whiffle ball while the adults had food and drinks at the picnic tables outside the restaurant/cidery. The menu had a range of options and everyone loved their food. We were there over breakfast and lunch so we had a taste of many things, all were excellent. The staff was accommodating and friendly as well! I'm glad we brought our group here to hang out. I highly suggest this spot for groups/teams, families or couples! read more

Yum! This hard cider place is super close to the sports field complex where my fella and his team were participating in a soccer tournament this last summer. I saw this on the map and immediately made a plan to stop in here. The barn-like venue is bright and big and really welcoming. I got a flight of several of their offerings and was so pleased! They were all delicious, and later I got a cocktail that was also wonderful! They had a food truck so folks could get stuff to eat and there was live music happening and it just felt like a really nice gathering space. Dropped in for their Oktoberfest with my parents that got rained out. While it was less of an event it was definitely still packed! This location gets super loud when it's full so just mentally prepare yourself if you're planning to dine inside and have a conversation. I got their cranberry cider and it was very tasty. The food however was lacking in my opinion. There was a 45 minute wait for all food orders since they were so busy and even then when the pretzel we ordered was ready it was cold. It was really big but definitely wasn't the best pretzel I've ever had. A little too dense for my liking. However the cider was good and I had a small taste of my dad's pulled pork that was pretty tasty. I'd definitely give this spot another chance especially with all the events they host. I'll just pass on the pretzel next time. read more

Excited we have a new cidery on the northside. They had a good variety of ciders. I decided to go with the flight to try several of the flavors. I've been here twice now and both times had a fabulous experience. I love that we have a cidery, just for something a bit different. The space is huge with ample seating, and is spaced really nicely. It does get loud due to a lot of people and live music, so be aware of that. I thought the cider was great. I love that there's a mix of beer, wine and cider - so anyone can go! My friends and I decided to check out the newly opened Urban Apples Cidery this weekend. I am usually a beer person but the variety of ciders offered impressed me - and if all else fails and it's a hot summer day, you need one of their cider cherry slushies. We arrived right when they opened (12pm) to avoid the crowds and were enthusiastically greeted by Katie, one of their shift supervisors. She took the time to talk to us about all of their different ciders and made some great food recommendations as well! She even offered to take us on a tour of the facility, which was such a bonus! Al of the staff were helpful and also took time to ask what we thought of the ciders and foods and wanted to know our feedback. It was so refreshing to see so much investment from the staff in not only making sure customers were happy but also sincerely interested in hearing about their experience and opinions. The facility is a converted horse barn and is huge! The main area has tons of seating as well as a stage for live music. In the back of the main building there are converted horse stalls available to reserve for private parties and they have a lovely event space (adults only) open on weekend evenings with a bar that is able to be rented for parties. There is a pretty large outdoor area with picnic tables as well. I did a cider flight (4, 3oz cider tasters for $20) and the bartenders helped me pick a variety of flavors they thought I would like. The Saucy Cranberry (one of my favorites) is perfectly tart, the Johnny Appleseed is their driest option but I would still call it semi-sweet, and is a classic apple cider. The Muffin Top had a lovely blueberry aftertaste and did in fact remind me of a blueberry muffin. The Crown Pineapple cider was sweet but a winner for me because I love any and all things pineapple. When it came to food, we ordered the Brat bites (per Katie's recommendation) as it allows you to sample four of their brats - all of them were delicious and the sauces are house made. My personal favorite was the Chicken brat (not being a huge brat person myself) and was savory, flavorful, and light. We also tried the pretzel - definitely big enough to share, house made, fluffy and perfectly salted. Skip the mustard, the cheese sauce is a must! We are already making plans for future birthdays and special events to come back and take advantage of some of their private seating options!
