First time going and it felt okay. Didn't really feel our server was really attentive but she could've been having a bad day . They have a cool space area The food was fine , pretty decent portion , they charge +2 for getting fries with your burger so that's that . The alternative is a salad with your burger for no extra charge

Stopped by Field Brewing and tried the Basic Witch pumpkin red ale. I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't overly sweet, just smooth with a nice finish. Paired it with their mac & cheese, which was buttery and creamy. On a cold fall day, it was the perfect pick-me-up!

Met some friends for dinner at Field Brewing and were fairly underwhelmed. They have six beers on their flagship brew list and another eight on a seasonal brew list. They have a scratch kitchen with rotating menus. We tried the 'fried chicken sando' and 'field burger' with sides of french fries and mac & cheese. The chicken sandwich had little to no breading to the point I was wondering if they just forgot to bread it before cooking. The burger wasn't very juicy and was overly pickled. Both buns were dry. Overall, this spot has potential as the space is really cool and the menu items sound appealing, however the execution just wasn't on point when we went. On a side, our server was super friendly and attentive.

We stopped in here for a beer and a little snack before another event we had to go to. As always, the food was incredible. We got the loaded fries and they were so good. The bacon on them was top-notch! Our server was great and she came around to check on us often. This is always a great spot for families, date night, girls night. And you can bring dogs on the patio. Right now they also have cute igloos you can rent out for lunch or dinner. They include blankets as well to stay warm.

Our original intent was a beer and a snack when we went here. I wish we were hungry enough for entrees! The bartender was phenomenal! She told us all about the company and was s great conversation. Their wings were some of the best bone-in wings we've had in Indy. Perfect crispiness on the outside while tender on the inside. The flavors were fantastic. Their take on a Cesar salad was so good. The pickled eggs (as well as all of their pickles) are made in house. The place itself was so charming. We even debated having our wedding reception in their additional room. We will definitely be back here!

My first time at field brewing and it was fantastic!!! I had an order of their Alabama bbq wings with the most amazing brassica salad! OUTSTANDING! They even had a gluten free IPA beer which was really good! Our server was sooooo awesome! She had great recommendations and checked on us frequently. This place was huge and I loved the vibe of the coffee shop, bar, & restaurant altogether. They even had games and outdoor seating. Can't wait to go back!

Field brewing is a really fun place to visit for the summer! We had amazing wings, fries, a side salad and a burger. They also have this incredible sauce, Parmesan ranch, that was offered with the fries and wings! The service was amazing and personable. The outdoor seating area and indoor area both have cute decor and a fun and casual vibe. The only downside I have to offer was parking just because it wasn't directly outside of the building. However, we didn't see it as a problem because it was still extremely close and there were signs leading you directly to the overflow parking lot. They also offer outdoor games like corn hole! Definitely worth the visit and we will be going back!

Stopped into Field before an event at Grand Park. What a BEAUTIFUL space this is- Indoor and out! Super clean with modern touches throughout. For such a large space the bar top is small though. Shout out to my server for letting me know they could do an espresso martini when I was chatting with my guest about being on the fence between one of their espresso drinks or a drink. As for the brews, it's a bummer that they had no in house options for sour beers, ciders, fruit beers, shandys, nothin even close. They have Ash & Elm but I wanted to try something of theirs. The food was really well done. My husband had the soup of the day and said it was the best mushroom soup he's ever had. Menu prices are higher than you might expect for a brewery but so worth it for the quality. Outdoor seating, enough space for a small gathering, a table of board games, coffee drinks, beers and great food. A lot of great things going on here!

My absolute favorite spot in Westfield. The menu is well curated and rotates seasonally. Drinks are refreshing and the meals can please anyone! We played cornhole last time and hung out for a couple hours. The servers are great and the outdoor space is next level.

Super friendly staff. We chatted with the hostess for a bit about the other Family of Grindstone restaurants. We started with the short rib poutine. We had it last year and frequently joke we need more than 1. The meat is so tender and there is a good amount of it on the dish. The app has plenty to share for the three of us adults. I also love the added touch of the scallions. For our meals, I had the Jambalaya pasta which was a large serving with plenty of meat, my husband had the tenderloin sandwich (which was massive and the best he said he has ever had on all of his trips to Indy) and our friend had the piggy melt grilled cheese (Mac and cheese and pulled pork!) That sandwich had incredible flavor and I said I'm getting that next time. We ended the meal with bread pudding bites as the photos on here looked delicious and the waitress recommended them. They certainly did not disappoint. The restaurant has a bit of a nicer vibe and there are certainly some people that were there dressed better than us, but it is not a stuffy atmosphere. Delicious food for very reasonable prices. Good beer selection as well.

Beautiful space. Warm feel. Exactly what the evening called for. Our server Jill M was the real story. She greeted us warmly, asked if we had questions about the menu, and when we mentioned my wife has Celiac Disease, she didn't flinch. She walked us through every option carefully and honestly. That kind of attentiveness is rare, and it mattered. Here's the honest part: the kitchen uses a shared fryer, which limits options significantly for anyone with gluten sensitivity or food allergies. My wife made it work, but the choices were thin. For a restaurant at this level, I'd love to see that change. Food allergies aren't going away, and guests who want to celebrate special occasions deserve more than a gluten-free bun as their only path forward. The food was genuinely delicious. Drinks never ran dry. Jill was never far. We all left saying it was a great meal. Four stars, and I mean it. Jill earns five on her own. I'd go back without hesitation. I'd just hope the kitchen catches up to what the front of house already delivers.

One being how they consistently roll out new monthly specials - they're always creative, and the names and descriptions are so much fun. The Brussels sprouts are an absolute triumph: perfectly blistered with a caramelized exterior and tender interior, dressed in a harmonious balance of bright acidity and savory depth. Little crunchy bits and a subtle smoky char add texture, while a finishing sprinkle (and a hint of something sweet-salty) elevates them from simple side to a show-stealer. The Korean salmon is equally impressive. The fish arrives flaky and moist with a richly glazed crust that carries sweet, spicy, and umami notes in perfect proportion. Layers of flavor -- gochujang-forward heat, sesame brightness, and a touch of citrus -- play against the salmon's natural richness without overpowering it. It's plated thoughtfully, with complementary sides that keep each bite balanced. If you're at Big Lug Canteen, don't pass up those two dishes -- they demonstrate skilled technique, bold yet nuanced seasoning, and a real sense of care in the kitchen. Great food, relaxed atmosphere, solid value. Highly recommended.
